    Great value for money

    The Hotel front desk staff made a very good impression. I felt the Room was cleaned well. Since it is an older Hotel, I did notice some aging around the bathroom and plumbing areas, but I felt the cleaning was very thorough.

    It was my first stay in Sendai in a while, and the staff were very helpful. It would have been nice to have a laundry bag in the Room.

    The biggest appeal is its convenient location near the station.

    Sendai Station is full of shops, and this Hotel is just a few minutes away. Coming back feels even better than heading out. When you go down the stairs, the Hotel entrance appears right in front of you—this is the best part. The Room is small but functional. There is a bright light on the table by the window. Every day, a bottle of water was provided, along with regular coffee and tea bags. I didn’t use the restaurant, but it looked like a nice one. Each year I stay at a Hotel near the station to visit a sushi restaurant on the Sanriku Coast, and this one stands out for its convenience. Parking is available in the lot behind the building for 1,500 yen per night.

    Well-equipped dining options

    This was my first time staying here in Sendai, and the location is excellent—right next to the station. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, including plenty of local specialties. It was very satisfying from the morning—perfect for food lovers. The price was also a great value.

    The location is convenient from the station, and the staff were great—no issues at all. Thank you. However, the Facility feels old, and I was especially concerned about the bathroom and toilet.

    Completely satisfied with the delicious breakfast

    I originally made a Reservation with No Meals Included, but decided to add breakfast—and it was absolutely the right choice! I usually go for bread, but here I didn’t hesitate to choose the Japanese set. Not only sasakama, but also sashimi! There were grated yam and natto, plus toppings like okra, whitebait, and mekabu seaweed. The handmade tofu was delicious too. The udon looked tempting as well, but I was too full and had to pass (lol). The selection may not be huge, but everything was high quality and I was very satisfied. Even the yogurt exceeded my expectations! The location is great, and there’s parking—convenient whether you’re traveling by train or by car. There weren’t any women’s amenities in the room, but maybe they were available at the front desk?

    Necessary and sufficient

    I stayed here for the first time on a business trip. The location is within walking distance of Sendai Station, which is very convenient. However, depending on the Room’s orientation, you can hear train noise directly. The Room was sufficient for my needs. At check-in, I was upgraded to a semi-double, and the bed was large and comfortable. I couldn’t hear noise from neighboring rooms. Amenities were provided in the Room in the traditional style. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with options such as JAL curry topped with beef tongue and sashimi. I would like to stay here again when visiting Sendai for business or leisure.

    The breakfast was delicious.

    I have used this Hotel several times before. It is conveniently located near the station and provides a safe and reliable stay. Upon my recent visit, I noticed that the breakfast area had been beautifully renovated with a modern touch. The breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of small portions to try, including soft-serve ice cream and zunda mochi, which made it enjoyable. Thank you very much!

    Convenient for shopping.

    Close to the station and Sendai Arcade Street, making shopping convenient. If you are familiar with the area around the station, you can check in almost without getting wet even in rain or snow (the key is walking on covered paths). The Room and bath are spacious, ensuring a comfortable stay even for a Multiple Night Stay.

    Due to my mistake, I accidentally made a reservation for a smoking room. I endured the first night, but upon entering the room after check-in, I was surprised by the smell of tobacco. When I checked my reservation email, I realized it was indeed for a smoking room. I immediately requested at the front desk to change to a non-smoking room due to my error, but they told me there were no available non-smoking rooms and suggested using deodorizer spray instead. When trying to use the air purifier in the room, it emitted an odor as well. Upon checking its filter, it was covered in dust and unusable. Looking at the ceiling air conditioner vent out of curiosity revealed it was also full of dust. My wife tried using the provided stand mirror but found dirt on both its surface and cover. When searching for reservations for non-smoking rooms for our second night’s stay, three rooms appeared as available; however, we were still denied a change of rooms. After asking again at reception if we could switch rooms tomorrow since we would endure tonight's stay as is—they instructed us to come early in morning. At 7 AM next day when approaching reception again—finally they prepared us with keys ready upon returning later that day—but why did such changes take nearly 12 hours despite not being late during initial check-in? Moreover cleanliness standards within original assigned-room lacked entirely leaving much disappointment overall especially given ourselves working within hospitality industry understanding operational challenges yet shocked witnessing firsthand conditions experienced here!

    Despite available seats during breakfast, there was a 20-minute wait.

    When I went to the B1F breakfast venue after 7 a.m., there were about 10 people waiting outside, and I had to wait for around 20 minutes. However, once inside, less than one-fifth of the seats were occupied. When I asked why we had to wait, they explained that the number of guests was limited to avoid crowding at the buffet area due to its small size. If that's the case, part of the seating area should be converted into additional buffet space to accommodate more guests simultaneously. There seems to be a lack of consideration for avoiding delays during busy morning hours. As for breakfast itself, while there were some local specialties available, it was disappointing that basic items like high-quality grilled fish as a main dish in Japanese cuisine and 100% fruit juice were missing or subpar in quality.

    It was a Business Hotel that provided complete satisfaction.

    I usually stay at the same service Business Hotels like ◯◯◯◯◯ anywhere in Japan, but since my destination was Sendai, I decided to stay at JAL CITY, which I used to visit a long time ago and felt a bit nostalgic about. Although the hotel as a whole and the walls of the guest rooms showed signs of aging, and the price had nearly doubled, both the service and breakfast exceeded my expectations. It made me think that perhaps it’s due to its history or pride associated with the JAL name on its signboard—it was quite impressive. The breakfast, in particular, stood out with high-quality rice and bread that seemed reliable without any disappointments. If I have another opportunity to visit Sendai and need accommodation again, I would like to stay here.

    I have been staying at this hotel as my regular accommodation whenever I visit Sendai for over 10 years because I like it so much. This time, I stayed for 5 nights. During my previous stay, I felt the front desk service during check-out was a bit off, and unfortunately, it happened again this time. When I requested to send my luggage via round-trip courier service upon check-out, the staff seemed unsure and had to call someone else. The new person also appeared unfamiliar with the process and took some time checking the shipping slip, which made me wait a little longer. In the end, they only said "It's fine" without any "Thank you for waiting" or "Thank you for staying with us," and both staff members saw me off in silence. Although I expressed gratitude when making my request by saying "please" and "thank you," there was no response from their side... Even if the check-in experience is good, poor service during check-out can change one's impression of a hotel entirely. While trying to leave on a positive note, I ended up leaving with an unpleasant feeling about this accommodation.

    Stayed for 2 nights.

    Stayed in 2023 and chose a quieter area away from the downtown, which was the right decision. This time in 2025, stayed for 2 nights. Walked with a suitcase on the West Exit pedestrian deck and took the elevator at the end to reach ground level. Slept well again this time. Thank you very much!

    It would be great if...

    It would be great if the breakfast venue and menu could be improved. Cleaning the chairs and ceiling would also enhance the experience. Orange juice seems essential for breakfast. The bread was simple but good. Since it is JAL City, there may not be a strong need to focus on Sendai specialties. The Room was clean, well-equipped with amenities, and satisfactory overall.

    Convenient location near the station

    Conveniently located just a few minutes from Sendai Station. At check-in, only the breakfast ticket was provided without any explanation about the breakfast venue. The breakfast offered a variety of options and was satisfying, but many chairs in the venue, though seemingly luxurious, were worn out with exposed foam, which was slightly disappointing. The Room was clean and comfortable to stay in, though the noise from the neighboring room was a bit noticeable.

    Breakfast buffet

    The dishes, which were replenished little by little, had a wide variety of items and were satisfying. You could also make your own seafood bowl. The Japanese and Western dishes were more than enough to enjoy breakfast.

    A good Hotel recommended as a base for sightseeing in Sendai

    - Located just a 2-3 minute walk from Sendai Station, with many commercial facilities and restaurants nearby, making it very convenient. - The Accommodation Fee is reasonable, yet the services within the Property, the cleanliness and comfort of the Room are excellent, and the staff are kind. - The buffet-style breakfast is available from early morning (6:30-) with a wide variety of delicious dishes (as expected from JAL!). - There is also a wonderful bar where you can enjoy your time. - They kindly store your luggage after check-out, making it overall the best Hotel as a base for sightseeing in Sendai.

    A convenient city Hotel 3 minutes from Sendai Station

    Not only did they accommodate my request for the Room, which I had emailed in advance, but they also upgraded the Room, for which I am grateful. The service from the front desk staff was pleasant, and the cleaning staff greeted us, allowing us to have a comfortable stay. If I had to point out a downside, it would be the poor drainage in the water areas, indicating the Facility's age. I rated it four stars for its location, price, and staff hospitality.

    In room 601, the sound of freight trains running nearby at night was loud, and I couldn't sleep well. The breakfast had a variety of options and was satisfying. I was concerned about the torn chairs in the restaurant. The location was very good, being close to the station.

    Overall, it was comfortable.

    The Room was upgraded, and I was comfortable in a larger Room. However, the sound of trains and cars outside was quite loud. At night, the trains stop, so it didn't affect my sleep. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast.

    Twin Use

    We were upgraded from the reserved room. It was a triple type, spacious, and we were able to stay comfortably. Thank you very much. The breakfast had a limited variety, but it used local ingredients, and the Zunda milk and beef tongue curry were very delicious. Both the facility and the room were clean and had a great sense of cleanliness. The access from the station is also very good. One disappointing thing was that the refrigerator in the room was not cold enough, and the beer we brought in became lukewarm. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.
