    The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful.

    I’ve stayed here many times. The pleasant scent in the front area and the amenities are more than enough for one night, so it’s perfect if you just need a place to sleep. This time, I stayed in a 4th-floor corner double for the first time because it was available, but the bathroom had a strong musty mold smell and it was hard to deal with. It went away when I used the shower, so it might have been a sewer odor. Because it’s Yosakoi season, prices are always high, but this time the bed was 140 cm to 160 cm wide, so it was comfortable. I’d like to stay again.

    I accidentally made ...

    I accidentally made the wrong selection during my Reservation, but the front desk quickly helped me and I was able to stay in the Room I wanted. I truly appreciate your courteous service throughout my stay. Both the Room and the shared areas of the property (such as the elevator) were very clean, which was great. I would be happy to stay here again on my next visit.

    Great.

    I have stayed here several times when visiting Kochi. I arrived before check-in, but they kindly carried my luggage to my Room, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. The Room was also clean and well maintained.

    The Facility feels outdated.

    [Room Hygiene & Facilities] The smell from the bathroom shower curtain was very noticeable—so much so that I hesitated to use it. Areas around water fixtures require especially strict hygiene control, so I would expect thorough disinfection and cleaning. Also, while the wallpaper and carpet colors may have been chosen to make stains less noticeable, there was an overall “dullness” from age-related wear, and the Room did not feel as clean as I had hoped. [Breakfast Service] Breakfast was served in a style where you choose one main dish and take side items buffet-style, but the selection felt somewhat limited. What stood out most was the tray size. It was much smaller than typical trays, which limited how much you could carry at once and felt a bit inconvenient. I was also disappointed by how “yuzu nori” served with the main dish “seared bonito” was handled—when I was asked, “We have a limited amount; do you need it?”, it came across as lacking consideration. [Comparison with Nearby Hotels / Overall Impression] Compared with nearby hotels such as Dormy Inn or JR Clement Inn Kochi, my overall satisfaction here was lower. Clement Inn in particular felt newer and cleaner, and their seared bonito at breakfast was excellent, so it inevitably became my point of comparison. [Concerns About the Cleaning System] For a Multiple Night Stay, cleaning policy was described as an eco-style approach for SDGs/environmental reasons: in principle, no in-room cleaning is provided except on designated cleaning days once every three days. I understand reducing linen changes for environmental reasons. However, I question whether that should also justify not cleaning the entire Room at all. It gave me the impression that “for the environment” might be used as a convenient phrase to justify cutting housekeeping costs or effort—and it made me reconsider what good service should be. Since I had already noticed dullness in the Room and an odor from the shower curtain, this no-cleaning policy felt even more concerning. The staff were very pleasant overall, but my general impression of this stay was disappointing.

    Second Stay

    I stayed here to visit the Sunday morning market. This was my second stay, so I already knew what the Room and overall atmosphere were like, and had no issues. Breakfast had gone up in price, and the seared bonito on the whitebait rice bowl had been reduced from three slices to two. However, they said it was possible to swap one slice of bonito for yellowtail, which I thought was a nice service that caters to guests who want to try a variety of items. It’s centrally located and very convenient, so I plan to stay again.

    I stayed here again after a long time.\nI would appreciate a wider variety of breakfast options.\nIt’s close to the morning market and faces the shopping street, so it was easy to access the town area and Hirome Market.

    The breakfast was excellent.

    I chose this place for its unbeatable location in Obiyamachi—and it really delivered! Excellent access, and the Room was spacious and comfortable. The six different breakfast options were especially great. The shirasu rice bowl with bonito tataki was delicious. I arrived early and asked the front desk to hold my luggage, and they offered to take it up to my Room. I really appreciated that service. Thank you very much.

    This was my first time using it.

    Amenities are available on the 1st floor. A coin laundry is also available on the 10th floor; wash and dry takes 120 minutes and costs 400 yen. The bath amenities include about four types of bath salts, making for a comfortable stay. Meals are served at the restaurant next door: you choose a main dish, and side dishes are buffet-style. The parking lot is a short walk away and costs 800 yen per day. The staff handled parking smoothly. Located in the city center, it is very convenient. It felt new and comfortable.

    I had a very comfort...

    I had a very comfortable stay. The Room was spacious and clean, and I could relax without being bothered by noise from around me. Amenities were available to pick up next to the front desk, and they even had face masks and Onsen bath salts, which I used. It was a Hotel that made me want to stay at Richmond Hotel again next time.

    I stayed here for my first trip away from home. From the moment I entered, the staff's kindness was evident, and it felt wonderful. Even when I couldn't figure out which floor my Room was on after receiving the card key, they kindly guided me. I'm truly glad that my first hotel experience during a trip was at Richmond Hotel. I will definitely look for Richmond Hotel again for future trips. Thank you very much!

    Stay Here for Accommodation in the Heart of Kochi

    Within walking distance from Kochi Station, accessible via the arcade of Obiyamachi Shopping Street from the main street in front of the station. The entrance is located inside the arcade, making it very easy to find. Surrounded by popular spots like Starbucks, Doutor, McDonald's, Mister Donut, and Kochi Daimaru department store, you can enjoy a familiar lifestyle atmosphere. A convenience store is also just a 1-minute walk away for added convenience. Close to attractions such as Kochi Castle, Hirome Market, and Harimaya Bridge—offering more convenience compared to areas around Kochi Station where there are fewer amenities nearby. The guest rooms are well-equipped with all essentials needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast features delicious and satisfying menu options to choose from. Highly recommended Hotel for your stay in Kochi City!

    I realized I left a magnetic necklace in the Room about three hours after checking out (around 10 AM) and contacted the property, but was told that the Room had already been cleaned and no lost items were found. This leaves me with nothing but distrust.

    Customer Satisfaction

    I stayed for one night to explore Kochi City. The Room was comfortable and easy to relax in, and the breakfast was delicious. However, the only disappointment was the waiting time for breakfast. It was crowded, and although we were informed upon entry that it would take 10–15 minutes for preparation, there was no service even after waiting 30 minutes. When I inquired, I received a comment saying, "We are currently preparing it," and it took an additional 4–5 minutes before being served. Guests behind me who ordered the same menu were served first, so I assume my order had not been communicated to the kitchen. While a standardized response may be used when customers are kept waiting, in such cases, honestly stating something like "We apologize; your order had not been communicated to the kitchen" might improve customer satisfaction more effectively.

    The breakfast is delicious!

    The breakfast at this Hotel offers a wide variety of dishes and is always delicious. Highly recommended are the "Morning Curry" and "Shirasu Rice Bowl."

    High-quality Hotel!

    This was my second visit to Kochi since May, but my first time staying at the Richmond Hotel for two nights. Although I only had breakfast, I appreciated the staff's attentiveness, such as recommending coffee pick-up. I requested an urgent laundry service for a polo shirt, and it was returned by 6 PM the next day with excellent results. I would like to stay here again next time.

    I have used this place several times for trips. The Facility and location are excellent, but the Room, especially the gaps in the bathroom and sink area, were covered with mold, which made me feel that cleaning was not thorough. On my way out near the entrance, I also noticed pests... It was quite disappointing since everything else, including customer service, was fine.

    I stayed at this accommodation two years ago, and this is my second visit. Located within the Obiyamachi shopping street, the location is excellent. There are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and it's only about a 5-minute walk to Hirome Market, which is very convenient. Additionally, I personally found it great that video streaming was available. The accommodation fee was reasonable, and although the room was a semi-double, I had a comfortable stay. I would like to stay here again if I have another chance to visit Kochi.

    Bath

    There was an issue with the bathroom drainage. While taking a shower, I noticed that the water in the bathtub wasn't draining, and then water started backing up from the drain next to the toilet. The backflow was significant, spreading everywhere and causing an unpleasant smell. However, when I contacted the front desk, they promptly prepared another Room for us to use for both the toilet and shower. This was very helpful. Their response afterward was excellent, so I have no complaints. The location was great, the food was delicious, and the staff's service was outstanding. I would love to stay again if given another opportunity!

    A Hotel in Kochi Offering Peace of Mind

    Within walking distance from Kochi Station and located in the heart of Kochi, near Harimaya Bridge, the Hotel is conveniently situated inside Obiyamachi Shopping Arcade, the largest covered shopping street in Kochi. The shopping arcade offers a variety of dining options, cafes, and convenience stores, including nationwide chain stores, ensuring a comfortable stay. Hirome Market and the department store Kochi Daimaru are also within the arcade. Additionally, Kochi Castle is just a short walk from Hirome Market, making this location ideal for both sightseeing and business trips. The Hotel rooms are thoughtfully designed with no shortcomings. Breakfast includes selectable main dishes to keep it interesting during your stay. The main dish provided is of higher quality compared to standard buffet offerings. Overall, there were no complaints during my stay; satisfaction was exceptionally high!

    The only Hotel in Kochi City for ultimate relaxation

    The staff's hospitality is excellent and very pleasant. The Room is spacious, the bed is large, and the pillows are incredibly comfortable for a great night's sleep. The breakfast buffet offers various options, and the vegan curry was delicious. During my Multiple Night Stay, the seared bonito and whitebait rice bowl on the second day were absolutely amazing.

    Convenient Hotel

    We went out for dinner and found many restaurants in the area, making it easy to discover a good place to eat. Breakfast was served with a main dish option, which was convenient and hassle-free. Amenities and tea were available for free at the front desk, offering a wide variety and excellent quality. If bottled water had been provided as a complimentary service, it would have been even better.

    The breakfast was delicious!

    Three couples of close friends stayed in two Rooms. Each Room accommodated three husbands and three wives, placed next to each other. The Hotel staff were kind, polite, and provided excellent service with warm smiles at the reception, during guidance, and in the restaurant. The breakfast was delicious.

    It was a very beautiful Hotel!

    The location was excellent, and the place was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended for women. There is an amenity station on the first-floor front desk, even offering instant coffee, which was a great touch.

    Delicious breakfast!

    As expected from Kochi! It's delightful to have "Katsuo no Tataki" for breakfast. This time, I chose the "Katsuo no Tataki and Kama-age Shirasu Bowl." It was delicious.

    The breakfast was delicious.

    On the first day, I had bonito tataki for breakfast. It was very delicious. Since we had fish dishes for dinner that day, I opted for bacon and eggs for breakfast on the second day, and the bacon was juicy, crispy, and truly delicious! I want to eat it again! Haha I will visit again.
