    As mentioned in the ...

As mentioned in the Review, all the staff were very welcoming. Although I stayed for work, I was able to relax. The women’s amenities were Sekkisei. There was also a great selection of coffee and tea at the amenity bar, and everything was delicious. Disposable chopsticks and spoons were provided as well, which made my stay feel comfortable and worry-free.

    It was wonderful.

I was exhausted that day, but I really appreciated how kindly the front desk staff assisted me. The amenities were well stocked, the Room was relatively spacious, and the bed was comfortably soft, so I could relax properly. There’s a Gusto in the Hotel, and there are also plenty of nearby options like Ootoya and cafes, so finding somewhere to eat wasn’t an issue. There was even a drugstore close by, which made me feel very reassured. If I stay in the Shinjuku/Ikebukuro area again, I think this place would be a great choice. I’d love to stay again if I have the chance.

    Thank you very much.

This was my second stay in this Room, and it was quite good overall. However, the air conditioner didn’t cool well, which was my only complaint. Previously I mentioned that a water service would be nice, and this time there was a water dispenser in the hallway, which was very convenient. The cleaning was acceptable, but to be strict, it would be even better if dust and dirt were removed thoroughly from every corner. Aside from the air conditioner issue, I had a good stay and would like to use it again.

I’d like to stay here again.

The Accommodation was very clean, and the Facilities and amenities were more than sufficient, making for a comfortable stay. We booked a Plan with breakfast, and the buffet breakfast at Gusto on the 2nd floor offered a good selection of both Japanese and Western dishes, which we enjoyed. The bidet remote seemed slightly unresponsive—possibly due to low battery—but it worked without any functional issues. It is just a short walk from JR Mejiro Station, making it easy to reach without getting lost. If you have plans on the west side of central Tokyo, this may be one of your top choices for Accommodation.

    Easy to use

This was my second stay. First of all, it’s close to the station and easy to find—just go straight after turning left from the station. The area feels safe even at night. There are plenty of useful places nearby for a stay, including convenience stores, ATMs, drugstores, chain cafés, and a delicious retro-style coffee shop. The Hotel seems to have been around for some years, but it doesn’t feel unpleasant at all. If anything, it’s thoughtfully set up and very convenient. Some hotels provide bottled water in the Room, but depending on the season I sometimes don’t drink much and feel bad about wasting it. The water dispenser in the hallway was perfect for me. I didn’t use it when I stayed in spring before, but this time in summer I used it a lot and it really helped. I also don’t like having empty bottles piling up in the Room, so I think this is an excellent service. One amenity I unexpectedly loved was the hair clip. My daughter used it, and you almost never see hotels provide one. Some places offer hair ties, but clips are great when you don’t want marks left behind or just want to pin back your bangs. This time I shipped my luggage ahead of time, and it was very helpful that you placed it in my Room. Some hotels hand it over at check-in instead—but if you already have other bags with you, you end up going to your Room first and then coming back down to pick it up again. I really appreciate that you eliminate that hassle. There were also shipping forms provided in the Room as well—at many Business Hotels you usually have to ask for them at the front desk. That was another thing I appreciated. And there were phone chargers available for different connector types. The Room wasn’t one of those overly cramped Tokyo rooms—it had a comfortable amount of space. Also, while shipping payments are often cash-only elsewhere, PayPay was accepted here. As a suggestion for even more convenience: when choosing “no cleaning,” towels tend to pile up over multiple days—so how about placing a large plastic bag with handles in advance so guests can hang used towels on the door handle? Similar to how fresh towels are left on the door handle. Also during summer (for example after coming back just to take a shower), there are times when an extra towel would be helpful—so having an “add towels” option on the “no cleaning” selection screen would be great. In any case, this place is extremely convenient and I really like it. Since I’ll be visiting Tokyo more often this year, I’ll definitely stay again.

Stayed the day before my niece’s wedding.

It was my first time checking in late, but the staff were very courteous when I called to ask questions. The luggage I sent in advance and the bags I left before check-in were delivered to my Room, which was a great help. The semi-basement Room was spacious, and the bathroom was clean with a large bathtub that helped me relax. The amenities were plentiful and convenient to use. Breakfast was served at the on-site Gusto restaurant; the cheese-in hamburger steak was delicious, and there were plenty of menu options, so I was very satisfied. It’s close to the station and easy to find, with smooth access to my destinations, so I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

    It was convenient.

The Room was clean. You can check the coin laundry availability on the TV, so after walking around on a hot day, it was great to be able to do laundry right away and stay comfortable. Breakfast at Gusto was also easy to enjoy without any fuss. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days for our child’s open campus visit, and it was conveniently located close to everywhere we needed to go.

[Non-Smoking] Standard Single Room [Breakfast Included]

Just a 2-minute walk from Mejiro Station, the location is excellent. It was also great that I could leave my luggage on the morning of check-in and explore hands-free. The welcome drink could be redeemed for one drink at Gusto on the 2nd floor, and I took it back to my room to relax and enjoy it. Breakfast is also a buffet at Gusto, and I enjoyed it as a fun talking point since Gusto’s breakfast buffet is offered at only a few locations across The whole country. On departure, I shipped my luggage from the front desk by courier service, which made for an easy, hands-free trip from start to finish.

They prepared the Room exactly as requested.

During my previous stay, I was in a Room where construction noise could be heard, but this time, as requested, I was assigned a Room without construction noise and was able to sleep soundly. Thank you very much.

It was comfortable again this time.

I’ve stayed here more than five times. Some highlights: - The amenities are very well stocked (I especially appreciate the facial wipes available in summer). - It’s close to the station, and there are convenience stores, cafés, and drugstores on the way to the Hotel, which is very convenient. - There is a welcome drink service at Gusto on the 2nd floor. - If you become a member, checkout is extended by one hour. Many Business Hotels are 15:00 check-in / 11:00 check-out, but here it’s 14:00 check-in / 12:00 check-out—perfect for those who want to relax in their Room. The front desk staff are always smiling and pleasant. I’d like to stay here again.

The property is a bit dated, but it was clean, the front desk staff were kind, and my stay was comfortable. As a member, I’d like to stay again.

I was woken up by construction noise.

I checked in after midnight due to a business engagement. Although I booked a Room-assigned-at-hotel’s-discretion Plan, I was placed in a single corner Room and was woken up in the morning by construction noise. I needed to get proper sleep, but the lack of rest affected my work. For guests arriving late at night, I was disappointed as a member by the Hotel’s lack of consideration in assigning Rooms on the construction side. I will of course cancel my next Reservation as well.

The front desk service is excellent, but the room is...

Used Room 507 for a day-use stay. The front desk staff were very courteous at both check-in and check-out, and when I asked for a carry bag, they kindly provided a proper non-woven fabric bag free of charge, which was very helpful—thank you. However, the room was practically “windowless,” creating a strong sense of being enclosed and oppressive, and it was difficult to relax. I hope you can consider improving the lighting at least somewhat.

Staying close to the station was very convenient for us as we were traveling with children.

The Facility and amenities feel a bit dated, but everything was well cleaned and pleasantly spotless. It was very quiet, so we were able to relax. Our toddler got their pajamas wet, and when we contacted the front desk, they quickly brought us a replacement, which we really appreciated. However, it was still cold even with the air conditioning turned off, and it was disappointing that the bathtub took a long time to drain.

    Rainy Day

I checked in during heavy rain. Towels were placed at the Hotel entrance with a sign saying “Please feel free to use them,” which made me very happy. I was able to use a towel, and it really helped. The Room was also very comfortable, and the bathroom, toilet, and sink area were all easy to use. I would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

I stayed with my grandchild, and both the Room and bathroom were spacious, so we had a great time. Breakfast at Gusto (inside the Hotel) was also convenient for a young child. As it is a Business Hotel, I think it offers excellent value for money.

Cherry blossom viewing along the Kanda River

Mejiro is the station I used as a local before I got married. It’s a nostalgic place where I worked part-time as a student. The Richmond Hotel was built around that time, so staying there feels strangely surreal. Most of the shops along Mejiro-dori have changed, but KFC was just the same as back then. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, so I took walks around Otomeyama Park, along the Kanda River, and at Chinzanso. The Hotel entrance feels a bit unsettled with shops nearby, but the Room is clean and doesn’t feel dated at all. The bathroom is a unit bath, but the bathtub was spacious and relaxing. Breakfast is a buffet at Gusto on the second floor. The staff seemed new to the job, and there were moments when plates or cups ran short, but I think it was just bad timing. Overall, it was a good Hotel.

Great location near the station, with a wonderful separate bath and toilet.

I stayed here quite a while ago. It was great back then, and this time I felt the Hotel was even cleaner and better equipped. The location is very convenient, so I’d like to stay again. However, given the area, the price is a bit of a drawback—otherwise, it’s perfect.

    Suitable for various situations.

Just a 2-3 minute walk from JR Yamanote Line Mejiro Station, this property offers an excellent location at a very reasonable price. It’s hard to find such affordability in neighboring stations. The amenities were well-equipped and convenient, with a nearby convenience store ensuring no inconvenience during the stay. The bathtub felt slightly small for someone 174cm tall, but its non-slip design was highly appreciated. Next time, I’d like to use it for a short break rather than an overnight stay! (laughs)

    Check-in and check-o...

Check-in and check-out were smooth with the automated machines. Amenities like toothbrushes are not provided in the Room, so you need to take them from next to the front desk. The Room was located underground without windows, but it had a spacious and high ceiling design. The bathroom was not a unit bath, making it comfortable and relaxing. The bed was large and high, so caution might be needed for children. A phone charger is provided in the Room, which was very convenient. It’s close to the station and there’s a convenience store nearby, which was helpful. I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing stay until check-out at 11 AM. I would love to stay here again!

The location perfectly fits your schedule.

The access from Tokyo Dome was better than expected, and I could walk to the bookstore I wanted to visit. The building is old, but it is well-maintained and clean. The room was spacious enough with a nice view, and there were plenty of amenities to choose from, which was satisfying. The staff had great smiles as well. However, the breakfast being a buffet at Gusto might be reassuring for some, but during a Multiple Night Stay, it can feel repetitive by the second day. I found out through the hotel's Instagram that unused breakfast tickets can be exchanged for meal vouchers at nearby restaurants; it would be helpful if this information were communicated more clearly. One downside was seeing piles of dirty linens left unattended for a long time during daytime entry/exit on a Multiple Night Stay—it felt disappointing. Even if it's mid-task, perhaps covering them or placing them in carts could improve impressions? That said, with its convenient location near Mejiro Station and good cost performance, I’m sure I’ll stay here again!

Close to the station, with a family restaurant on the second floor, which was convenient. The guest room was clean, and although the bathroom is a unit bath, it has no steps and is easy to use. A mobile phone charger was also provided, which was very helpful.

A comfortable and conveniently located Business Hotel you'll want to visit again.

The room may feel a bit dated, but it was thoroughly cleaned and comfortable. Cleaning services and towel replacements were carried out exactly as requested, ensuring a pleasant stay. The lobby offered a wide variety of amenities, and even when popular items ran out, they were promptly restocked upon request at the reception, making the experience stress-free. Breakfast at Gusto on the second floor provided just the right amount of options to satisfy every morning. On mornings after drinking too much alcohol the night before, having ochazuke available was especially helpful. As a Business Hotel, it exceeded expectations. Conveniently located near the station in a student area with many affordable stores for daily necessities and food as well as restaurants and bank ATMs nearby, it was ideal for Multiple Night Stays. Traveling to various parts of Tokyo for errands was also easy due to its great access. I stayed at another hotel in Kinshicho from the same chain during summer for Multiple Night Stays and had an equally satisfying experience there too. I look forward to staying at Richmond Hotel again!

    Satisfied

This was my first stay. The Room was smaller than I expected, but I was satisfied with the bathroom and other facilities. The Hotel is close to the station, and the Gusto signboard served as a good landmark. It was my first time using Mejiro Station, but I arrived at the Hotel without getting lost. I had planned to go out for dinner nearby, but since it was raining, I decided to eat at Gusto instead. Having Gusto nearby is convenient on rainy days. What disappointed me was that although it was a corner room with two windows, one of the larger windows seemed blocked by a signboard or something similar, so I couldn't enjoy the view. Enjoying views is one of my pleasures during stays, so this was a bit disappointing for me. Also, the sound of rain hitting what seemed like the signboard made it noisy and hard to sleep until it stopped—but that's understandable because of the rain. If there's another opportunity in the future, I'd like to stay again!

    Good.

The front desk staff were very pleasant. The amenities were plentiful, and while the convenience store wasn't exactly close, it was within an acceptable range. The Hotel seemed a bit old as there appeared to be some black mold around the bathroom faucet area. Also, the elevator to the second-floor restaurant took quite a while to arrive, so I ended up going down to the first floor first. That was a bit frustrating (probably because I was hungry!).
