    Royal Host Breakfast

    Although it is a Business Hotel, the service and atmosphere still retain the refined elegance of hotels from a bygone era, so I felt comfortable staying here. The Room was clean, and I appreciated having two face towels. It was also convenient to have water dispensers on every floor. Since there is a Royal Host restaurant on-site, there’s no need to worry about dining options. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices. If you order them, they will bring pancakes, omelets, and Ogura toast to your table. Overall, I was very satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality.

    The first floor is Royal Host.

    Richmond Nayabashi is one of my regular Accommodations when I travel to Nagoya for business. This was my second stay since the breakfast changed to Royal Host, in addition to the half-buffet offered before. I’m happy because there’s now a wider variety of choices. The Rooms are also being renovated. The chair is more compact, making it easier to move around in the Room.

    The rooms are clean, and this is a hotel I’m always satisfied with.

    I often stay here for business, and the check-in and check-out times fit my schedule perfectly, allowing me to plan my work appointments with plenty of time—this is always a great help. No matter how many times I stay, the Room is always kept clean and well prepared, and I had another comfortable stay this time as well. The staff are consistently polite and pleasant whenever I visit, so I can always stay with peace of mind. I have stayed five times, and it is a Hotel that satisfies me every time. I would like to stay again on my business trip next month.

    We had a comfortable stay!

    I stayed in a single Room. Even though I checked in late at night, the front desk staff were very kind and gave me a warm welcome. I was tired from traveling, so I truly appreciated it. Thank you. The Room was very clean, and the bed was spacious, making my stay comfortable! When I visit Nagoya again, I will definitely stay at this Accommodation, and next time I would love to try the meals as well. I’m looking forward to staying again.

    It was a nice Hotel.

    The check-in process was smooth, which was great. The Room was clean, with no dust or hair anywhere—it felt very well maintained. I chose a smoking Room, but the moment I opened the door there was no cigarette smell at all, so it seemed they do a thorough job with ventilation and odor control. The desk area was spacious and easy to use, and the stand light was convenient for doing makeup. There was no bottled water provided in the Room; instead, an empty pitcher was placed there and you fill it yourself at the water dispenser in the elevator hall. Since I get thirsty easily and needed water to take my medicine, it worked perfectly for me.

    Comfortable

    It’s close to the station, with convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so the location is very convenient. Personally, it was also helpful that it’s close to Murasakiya, a long-established Japanese confectionery shop in Nagoya. The Room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. There were no unpleasant odors, and I had a comfortable stay. I’d like to stay here again next time.

    This is my go-to Accommodation whenever I’m in Nagoya on business!

    The front desk team feels like a luxury Hotel, and while the room is compact (I always stay solo), it’s highly functional. The lavish breakfast at Royal Host on the 1st floor (the staff here are truly professional and attentive) is another highlight—everything is completely satisfying. I walk from Nagoya Station, and that’s part of the appeal too.

    An Upscale Business Hotel

    I stay over 100 nights a year, and this is more comfortable than other hotels in the Business Hotel category. Reasons: (1) a good amount of space, (2) a desk by the window that makes it easy to work, (3) good soundproofing, (4) delicious breakfast, and (5) clean and well maintained after the renovation.

    First stay since the grand reopening

    This was my first business stay (one night) since the renovation, and I was more satisfied than expected. Both the Room and bathroom were very clean, making for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was at Royal Host on the first floor, and both the quality and variety were far better than other Business Hotels. I regret not waking up a bit earlier so I could have enjoyed it more leisurely. I would definitely like to stay again next time.

    It was very comfortable.

    The Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and we enjoyed the large-screen TV. The Hotel staff and the parking attendants were all very kind and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and we would definitely like to stay again.

    A Comfortable and Satisfying Stay

    As this is a Business Hotel, it may be unavoidable, but there were no bottled water in the Room; instead, each Room has a pitcher to fill at the water dispenser in front of the elevator. Not knowing this, I wanted to drink water after my shower and called the front desk. They explained the system, and when I told them it would be difficult for me to go out and refill because I only had one bath towel, a staff member came to my Room and refilled it for me. I was surprised that the tip I gave as thanks was politely returned at the front desk when I checked out the next morning. While part of me wished they would accept it discreetly since it was simply my gratitude for their exceptional help, I was also impressed by the Hotel’s high standards of training and staff integrity. The Royal Host breakfast menu was also good, and overall it was a very satisfying stay.

    When I tried scanning the QR code sent by SMS at check-in, the machine showed an error. A front desk staff member who noticed said, “We can assist you here. It looks like it’s before your scheduled arrival time and your Room isn’t ready yet.” They immediately switched me to a Room that was ready. They also prepared the pillow I had planned to rent at the front desk, and I headed up to my Room. If possible, it’s a good idea to check the various amenities lined up next to the elevator at that time. The single smoking Room felt a bit cramped, but it had all the basic features and was more than sufficient for the price. Breakfast is served at Royal Host on the first floor; guidance was smooth and pleasant, and I was very satisfied with the wide variety of menu options—on par with nearby luxury Hotels. With Hotel prices around Nagoya rising lately and Reservations harder to secure, if you’d rather not splurge on a luxury Hotel—and plan to drink out with friends at night and spend your days sightseeing—this is a convenient Hotel with clean facilities and Rooms plus efficient service.

    Breakfast at Royal Host is available!!

    [Room & Facility] (Rating: 3 stars) Compared with other Business Hotels in the same price range, the Room was a bit larger, with bigger windows and plenty of space in the walkway, so it was very comfortable. I was happy that the toilet was modern, but the only disappointment was that the shower hose had been patched with vinyl tape, so I’m giving it 3 stars. If this is improved, it would be perfect. [Breakfast] (Rating: 4-star level, maybe even higher) The Royal Host breakfast buffet I had been most looking forward to exceeded my expectations. It stands out from typical Business Hotel breakfasts and easily matches the quality of a higher-grade Hotel. Everything tasted like “proper Royal Host” food with no sense of cutting corners, and they covered Nagoya specialties such as chicken wings (tebasaki), miso pork cutlet, kishimen noodles, and hitsumabushi. There were also made-to-order omelets cooked on the spot and Royal Host’s signature pancakes (a bit thinner, but the same great taste), which made me very satisfied. [Access] It was a drawback that it’s a bit far from the station, but since there’s a city bus stop right in front of the Hotel, switching to taking the bus for commuting to work made getting around very convenient. Overall satisfaction was very high, so I’ll likely be staying here again for a while.

    Odor in the second-floor Room

    I made a last-minute Reservation the night before for a Saturday stay. Since I only started looking for a Hotel right before, my options were limited, but I decided Richmond would be a safe choice. I was shown to a Room on the second floor, but the moment I walked in there was an unpleasant odor—something like a fishy smell. I sprayed deodorizer over everything (the walls, curtains, and bed), but it had no effect at all. In the end, I spent my entire stay thinking, “Something smells…” Also, the staff member who assisted me—a young woman—was rather unfriendly or expressionless and matter-of-fact, which felt a bit intimidating. (The woman with glasses was nice and smiled.) Everything else was fine, but because of the odor in the Room it’s hard to say it was a comfortable stay, so I’m giving it 3 stars.

    We stayed here for a live concert, and also brought our grandchild along for some sightseeing. Our grandchild seemed very satisfied with the Hotel, and it looks like we made lots of memorable moments. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast. We would like to stay here again if we have the opportunity.

    The staff are well trained, and the Room is clean and well maintained, so you can trust that a basic level of comfort will be ensured. However, it was disappointing that the lobby and elevator smelled strongly like toilet air freshener. I wish something could be done about it.

    For business trips to Nagoya, Richmond Hotel Nagoya Nayabashi is the only choice. The Room is spacious, and the bed is comfortable. Clean and an excellent Hotel for business stays. I would definitely like to stay here for personal travel as well. Simply comfortable.

    Toilet paper...

    I always stay here. The rooms are clean, and having an easy-to-use water dispenser made my stay very comfortable. However, I have one concern. The toilet paper is single-ply and fragile, making it difficult to use. I would appreciate it if you could switch to double-ply or make a similar improvement. Thank you.

    This was my first stay since the renovation, and I had a very comfortable time thanks to the spacious Room, a refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment, and a microwave. Breakfast was also excellent—a full buffet at the on-site Royal Host. I would definitely like to stay again.

    The rooms are certainly spacious, and it’s convenient to have a water dispenser on each floor as well as a trouser press in every room. The Royal Host breakfast is just as expected. However, every time I stay, I’m bothered by odors—sometimes the deodorizer smell is too strong in the morning, and other times there’s a cigarette smell even though it’s a non-smoking room. Has the quality of guests declined?

    This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Nagoya.

    It’s very simple and relaxing. The front desk staff were also very pleasant, which made me feel at ease. The amenities include everything you’d hope for—those little things that are nice to have. I also appreciate how reasonably priced it is. Next time I visit Nagoya, this will be the first place I check.

    Staying with us for the first time in several years.

    There was just one disappointing thing: the flashlight in the Room had dead batteries. Other than that, I was satisfied. It was my first stay in a few years, and having a water dispenser with drinking water was very helpful. The staff were also very attentive.

    This was my first stay, and I was drawn to the "renovation"! It was very clean. I hope this cleanliness is maintained. However... the bathroom ventilation fan had some dust, so I wish it had been cleaned. I understand the eco-cleaning policy for a multiple night stay, but I would have appreciated it if the hair collected in the bathroom drain had been cleaned.

    It was a beautiful Room.

    I stayed in a renovated Room and found the chair very comfortable, allowing me to relax. The bathroom and toilet were clean. Next time, I would like to try the morning meal. The bus stop right in front of the Hotel was very convenient.
