    A Lovely Villa

    It was a very comfortable and wonderful villa. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the bath was absolutely lovely. I will definitely stay here again.

    We were very satisfied. The Room was clean, and the amenities were well stocked. The kids were really happy and had a great time playing, so we were glad. We would like to stay again if we have the opportunity. Thank you very much.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    We stayed here with our dog. The open-air bath was very relaxing, and the indoor bath was also clean and pleasant. The kitchen was well equipped with most of the essentials, which made it easy to use. We would love to stay again.

    The BBQ set was exce...

    The BBQ set was excellent! We brought extra ingredients just in case, but we didn’t need them. The amenities were well stocked. There were also items for children, which was great. The open-air bath had a large number of stink bugs... Since the area is surrounded by nature, the garden was also full of insects... so in the end we didn’t let our dog out of the Room... Next time, we’d like to visit in winter.

    Stayed with my dog during Golden Week. The clean, well-kept villa was truly relaxing.

    We chose Building D as our top priority was having an open-air Onsen bath and being able to relax with our dog. The Room was spacious and very clean, just as we had hoped, and we were able to enjoy a calm, relaxing time with our dog. [What we liked] - The open-air bath was large, and we also enjoyed the Mirable shower and the jet bath. The water does get cooler over time, but the open-air bath had a reheating function, so we could warm it up again. - They had a full set of ReFa items (hair dryer, hair iron, and curler), which is a great plus for women. - There was a lightweight bathrobe that felt comfortable, so we didn’t need to bring pajamas. - Cute cookies were provided for our dog, and he happily ate them. - We had seen Reviews mentioning lots of insects, but it didn’t bother us much and we stayed comfortably. [What concerned us] - There was dog poop in the garden. If this could be checked more thoroughly during cleaning, it would make the stay even more pleasant. - There was no explanation about what to do with the dishes after dinner (Agu pork shabu-shabu), so we weren’t sure. When we contacted the information center, they said it was fine to leave them as they were; if it bothered us, we could wash them. It would be smoother if this were explained at check-in. - Breakfast hot sandwiches are made DIY-style, but taking out a knife and cutting board to cut tomatoes and sausages felt like a bit of extra work. Pre-cut ingredients would make it easier. There were a few areas for improvement, but the Facility is new overall—and most importantly, being able to relax with our dog without worrying about others was wonderful. We’d definitely like to stay here again when visiting Shirahama.

    We stayed with my daughter’s family and my nephew—5 adults and 3 young children. The amenities were very helpful, with children’s items and even a baby crib provided. It was also my grandchild’s birthday, so we all enjoyed a barbecue and celebrated with cake. Everyone was very satisfied with the trip. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    It was excellent.

    The Room, location, and atmosphere were all excellent. It’s a villa I’d love to visit again. If I had to mention one thing, it would be nice to have window screens. I understand it can’t be helped depending on the season, but there were so many stink bugs that we couldn’t really enjoy a barbecue. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Thank you for a great stay.

    Stink bugs…

    I stayed at this villa two years ago and loved it so much that this is my second stay. Last time I visited in February; this time it was April. I thought the warmer weather would be nice, but there were a huge number of stink bugs, which made it hard to enjoy the stay. They were even in the garden jacuzzi and the bath during the day, and I was told that even more gather at night attracted by the lights. The Room seemed to have various measures in place such as fragrance and deodorizing, but there was still a strong stink bug odor that couldn’t be eliminated. I understand it’s a natural occurrence and can’t really be helped, but still… The Room Facility is truly excellent, though this experience reminded me that you need to choose the season carefully. Also, when I received the Room key, the staff member asked if I knew where it was. Since I had stayed before and roughly knew the location, I asked, “Is it near XX?” For some reason they said that wasn’t correct and even handed me a paper map. When I went to the building shown on the map, as expected, the key didn’t work. In the end, their guidance was wrong—the building I originally thought was correct. Because of all of this, this trip felt somewhat unsatisfying overall, which is why I’m leaving this rating.

    It was a wonderful space.

    We stayed for one night as a couple. It was a two-story place and felt almost too spacious for just two of us (lol). The bath was also large and comfortable, but when we opened the bathroom window, an insect fell in. We closed it right away, but by morning there was an insect on the bathroom floor, so it seems it had been hiding. Since it’s surrounded by nature, I guess that can’t be helped. There was a slight sewer smell around the sink area, so we thought it might be tough in summer. The furniture, amenities, and Room design were modern with great taste—stylish and very easy to use. You’ll need to cook dinner yourself, but everything for hot pot was prepared, so it was simple. It tasted great too. If you want more food you could buy some meat to add, but for a middle-aged couple in our 50s it was just right. We were able to relax and unwind in nature. Thank you very much.

    There are issues with the amenities and Facility.

    We stay here a few times a year, and this time we stayed for two nights as well. I wanted to go home after one night, but my family said we should make the most of it, so we stayed as planned. This villa was the worst. The toothbrush set amenity was missing about half of the toothpaste. The IH cooktop kept turning on and off, so we couldn’t cook, and the frying pan was warped so it only touched the surface in one spot and didn’t heat properly. Also, the bed pad was set up overlapping, creating a step that made it uncomfortable to sleep for both nights. I had been really looking forward to this trip, but it ended up being disappointing.

    I had high expectations.

    Positive Points The fresh and chewy fish in the hot pot was delicious. The open-air bath was spacious and very relaxing. Despite the cold winter wind, it felt warm and cozy after soaking for a while. The variety of amenities provided was satisfying. Negative Points Guests are required to prepare all ingredients themselves. There were no explanations about tableware or cooking utensils, which took time to figure out. While cooking together was fun and lively, cleaning up after meals felt troublesome. In previous accommodations, staff would come to clean up after being contacted post-meal, so this hands-off system was quite surprising. Considering the higher New Year’s rates for accommodation, I would hesitate to return under this system.

    This is your second visit.

    A few years ago, I stayed in a one-floor type accommodation. This time, it was a two-story accommodation, and since it was a two-night stay, I could enjoy individual time without any stress. I used the accommodation to spend the New Year holidays in a lively way, but the surrounding environment was calm, and thanks to the considerate behavior of other guests, it felt very comfortable. The amenities and equipment were impeccable, and I hope this quality will be maintained. Thank you for supporting us to have such a wonderful time.

    Power Outage

    On New Year's Eve, after turning on the sauna, both inside and outside the room went completely dark. The room's breaker was not tripped, but upon contacting the management building, we were informed that an external breaker had tripped. We were told not to use the sauna for 30 minutes due to the risk of electric shock or leakage. Due to a recent fatal accident involving a sauna, we were too scared to use it afterward. It seems that using the sauna in midwinter can cause an electrical overload, so please be cautious if you plan to stay here. There was no apology even at check-out the next day.

    We had a great time.

    Stayed in Building E. The accommodation was very clean, and we had an enjoyable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with pots, plates, and other utensils, but it would have been nice to have basic items like salt, pepper, and oil provided. It was a bit disappointing that the bedroom with the double bed was only separated from the living room by a roll curtain. We stayed in December and were surprised to find quite a few insects; however, there was insect spray available, which was helpful.

    With your furry friend.

    Visited from Osaka and reserved Building D to stay with my dog. There was a slight dog smell upon entering, but the room was spacious, and the ample amenities made it unnoticeable. However, the outdoor bath water was cold—almost as if the water heater was broken. I replaced about half of the water, turned the heater off and on again, pressed the auto button, and waited for a while. Finally, it reached a comfortable temperature. Glad it worked out! Dinner featured Kumano beef sukiyaki—it was delicious! Please note that alcoholic beverages need to be ordered in advance; otherwise, only water will be available. Consider buying drinks at a convenience store beforehand.

    Stay with Your Dog

    Stayed with my dog. The weather was nice, so we decided to play in the garden right away. However, we found dog droppings left by the previous guest's pet. We cleaned it up, but it wasn't a pleasant experience. There was a jacuzzi on the terrace, but it was visible from the road, so we couldn't use it. The Onsen also felt exposed as the path to the bath could be seen from outside, so we didn't use that either.

    Unfortunately

    I was looking forward to my stay, but the mattress of the futon had numerous urine stains, and the comforter had things like burrs attached to it, along with large dust and hair. The bedding was terrible. The second-floor living room was filled with a barbecue smell from the moment we entered, and we had to ventilate until late at night. Since I had a dog and a baby with me, the lack of gates on the stairs made it dangerous, and due to the strong odor, we only used the Japanese-style room on the first floor. You can access an open-air bath from the bedroom; however, since there is an indoor shower without any shower curtain or partition, we did not use it. Overall, cleanliness was lacking and disappointing. My parents stayed in another pet-free room in this accommodation which seemed clean by comparison. I have stayed at many pet-friendly accommodations before but considering this price for such quality is far too expensive. It was disappointing. On a positive note, check-in and check-out were smooth without any waiting time.

    Measures are required.

    This was my first time staying here. The room's interior, decor, and appliances were all stylish and thoughtfully designed. We had a BBQ on the terrace, and the meat was delicious, leaving us very satisfied. However, during the middle of the BBQ, stink bugs started to appear in increasing numbers. The walls and ceiling of the Onsen were covered with them, so we couldn't use the Onsen as planned after the BBQ. I hoped it would be better by morning, but it remained in the same condition, so we couldn't use the Onsen at all. At check-in, we were advised not to leave windows open due to stink bugs being active; however, I didn't expect it to be that severe. It would have been helpful if this had been explained more thoroughly beforehand. Additionally, since we couldn’t enjoy using such a key feature like the Onsen during our stay, some form of compensation or service might have been appropriate in this situation.

    It was an expensive trip.

    It was our first family trip in a while with six members. The room was spacious, bright, had a luxurious table, and we enjoyed the jacuzzi, which made it feel extraordinary and pleasant. However, there were some disappointing points. The amenities were listed as POLA B.A, but they were different. Additionally, there was trash between the refrigerator and sink, as well as under the curtains, which made it feel less clean. For dinner, we had BBQ, but as it got darker, a large number of stink bugs flew in, and we had no choice but to cook on the small hot plate in the room. There were three cans of insecticide, but one was already used and unusable. We also couldn’t use the outdoor Onsen at night due to the stink bugs. It was disappointing...

    No drinks or coffee were provided, which is uncommon for recent accommodations. Additionally, there is no convenience store nearby, making it difficult to purchase items. The layout of the accommodation also felt inconvenient.

    It was enjoyable.

    I stayed with my son and his family. The pool was a bit small, not really suitable for adults to swim, but there was an Onsen, a jacuzzi, and a sauna. I wish we could have stayed one more night to enjoy everything fully! They provided hair dryers, both straightening and curling irons, as well as plenty of amenities including adorable sets for children. The Facility was well-equipped overall. However, I did feel that while they provided so much, there was only one set of bath towels per person. It would have been even better if they had an extra set for pool use. There was also a washing machine with detergent available, which allowed us to wash our swimsuits easily. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    Overall, it was good.

    The Room and facilities like the pool were great. However, there were some cleanliness issues, such as leftover food waste on the balcony from previous guests, hair on the slippers, and an uncleaned ashtray. Considering the relatively high price, I expected better attention to cleaning.

    A private villa offering a resort-like experience

    On the day the rainy season ended, we stayed at a private villa in Shirahama for the first time. It was a lively trip with six family members, one toddler, and two children. As soon as we arrived at the villa, the kids headed straight to the pool in their swimsuits, while adults enjoyed the private pool, barrel sauna, and open-air bath. For dinner, we brought our own steak, fresh turban shells, sushi, zucchini and other grilled vegetables to enjoy a delicious meal without any worries. At night, we relaxed under a sky full of stars and had great conversations—it was truly peaceful and enjoyable. The villa offers complete privacy; we stayed in Villa H but found it interesting that other villas have different facilities and designs. However, due to its popularity as a villa destination, there was heavy congestion with many cars around the check-in/check-out center which made parking quite challenging.

    Excellent

    A trip with the grandchildren. As soon as we entered the room, the grandchildren were overjoyed! There was a pool visible from the living room, which made it easy to keep an eye on them and feel at ease. Plenty of towels were provided, and with an Onsen, jacuzzi, and sauna included, we warmed up in the Onsen after getting cold in the pool. Although it was a bit disappointing that we couldn't figure out how to use the jacuzzi properly and no hot water came out, the kids still enjoyed playing with just the bubbles. Everything was perfectly arranged for our comfort. The grandchildren said they want to stay here again next time, so we definitely plan to visit again next year. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful time!

    Very satisfied, it was excellent.

    I stayed with my pet. The room was spacious, the air conditioning worked well, and it had an open-air bath, indoor bath, jacuzzi, and a kitchen equipped with essentials like a microwave, rice cooker, knife, paper plates, and cups. Seasonings included only salt, pepper, and barbecue sauce. Bringing your own ice is recommended. I only interacted with the staff at check-in; they were very friendly. We brought our own barbecue food and were satisfied with the meal. There was also a small garden where my dog enjoyed playing. Relaxing in the evening breeze was delightful. There were many insects around; insect spray was provided but mosquito coils might be necessary during barbecues. The room had two double beds which felt spacious enough. Everything was clean and well-maintained. It’s a relaxing accommodation where I’d love to stay again!

    Family Trip

    Although it rained, the weather cleared up midway, and the kids were able to enjoy the pool! The windows and other areas were spotless, showing how well-maintained everything was—truly impressive! There was a lovely surprise on the bed for a birthday celebration, which made us feel so happy. However, we found it a bit inconvenient that there was no place to hang laundry despite having a washing machine. It would also be great to have somewhere to hang bathrobes. The meals were plentiful and absolutely delicious—we were very satisfied!
