    Services below business hotel standards

    Used the no-meals Plan. I asked to borrow a wine opener, but was told they only have one in the entire property and it was already lent out, so they couldn’t provide it. They also clearly stated there wasn’t one in the restaurant either. Is that really possible?! They should go buy a spare immediately. There were four of us, so we planned to enjoy a spacious Room, but the Room smelled damp and musty. It put a damper on what should have been a fun trip and left us feeling uncomfortable. It says they offer a welcome service where guests can enjoy Niigata’s famous “Kaki no Tane,” but there were none at all. If you’re posting photos, shouldn’t you actually provide them? It’s such a shame because some things—like the welcome drink—show effort. I love Niigata, so this was disappointing.
