    Everything—from the ...

    Everything—from the service and the Hotel’s interior design to the teppanyaki and even the smallest details in the guest room—was perfect. It was a truly moving and wonderful stay.

    A quiet, exceptional adults-only accommodation

    Perhaps because it was before Golden Week and we visited during a season without fireworks, it was quiet and very comfortable. The in-Room bath with free-flowing hot spring water and the large public bath were both excellent, and the breakfast had plenty of variety—this has become an Accommodation I’d love to visit again. For my morning bath, I enjoyed a beer while leisurely looking out over Lake Toya; it was a truly luxurious time. As for service, perhaps because there are many international guests, we were suddenly spoken to in English, and there were quite a few moments where I felt the staff could use a bit more training—so I’m giving it a 4.

    A bit disappointing

    The management company seems to have changed in May, and there were some differences compared to before. While the staff's service was not as good as it used to be, most of them were working hard. However, when walking down the hallway during morning checkout, a female staff member greeted us politely, but a young male staff member passed by without greeting us despite making eye contact. We always looked forward to the meals, but it seems the chef has changed, and we didn’t find them as impressive as before. On a positive note, breakfast times can now be chosen from 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, or 8:30 AM, and you can select between Japanese or Western-style meals—this is a nice improvement. Previously known for its excellent cleanliness standards here, I noticed black mold on the window frames in the public bath area and detected an odor from the bathwater itself. There was also mold on the ceiling of our Room’s bathroom. Having never seen such issues before even after many visits here previously under different management—I hope more attention will be given towards cleaning moving forward. In contrast though; Showerheads inside bathrooms had been upgraded entirely into ReFa ones which likely appeal especially among women guests!

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    The staff warmly welcomed us, carried our luggage, and provided attentive guidance, making our stay very pleasant. The room was clean and had an Onsen bath attached, allowing us to relax. The large public bath also featured massage chairs that helped relieve travel fatigue. My companion enjoyed wine at the bar counter and was delighted. We truly appreciated the hospitality that you don't often find in larger hotels. We only had breakfast during our stay, but it was carefully prepared and both delicious and visually appealing. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    It was very comfortable.

    The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. However, it seems there is a hole near the washroom where some insects might be entering, which scared the children.

    There is no second chance.

    Overall, the staff's service was good. The meals were delicious, and I believe there are many cases where repeat customers increase. However, we experienced an unacceptable mistake, so we will not be returning. Wishing your Hotel continued success. Thank you for this experience.

    A relaxing Hotel for adults

    A satisfying stay in every aspect: Onsen, service, meals, room, and location. While the meals during a previous stay left a stronger impression, this time's dishes were also delicious. I hope to visit again.

    A Gourmet Accommodation Quietly Nestled by the Lakeside

    This was my first stay near Lake Toya. The highlight of this accommodation is undoubtedly the delicious meals. The course-style Japanese cuisine was exceptional, with an abundance of dishes that might even feel overwhelming. Based on reviews mentioning the large number of dishes being too much to finish, I skipped lunch and managed to enjoy everything served. The room we stayed in had been renovated from an older accommodation, but despite its size, the oversized stylish sofa made it feel a bit cramped. Additionally, I felt that the high step in front of the bathroom could be inconvenient for elderly guests and wished for more barrier-free features. That said, the private onsen hinoki bath in the room was incredibly relaxing and made me want to soak multiple times during my stay. In the lounge area, sitting on elegant chairs while enjoying alcoholic beverages with a view of Lake Toya was delightful. Across from the lounge is a game corner where you can play nostalgic games like Space Invaders or smart ball—this added a fun touch to our experience! After bathing, enjoying retro snacks placed near the front desk also brought unexpected joy. Perhaps because each room has its own onsen hinoki bath, there were no other guests using the public bath when I visited—it felt like having it all to myself and was very comfortable!
