    Overall, it was a very nice Accommodation. It had a casual vibe so I didn’t feel too tense, and since small children aren’t allowed to stay, it was relaxing. The staff were all very kind and pleasant, which made it especially comfortable for me as that’s something I value. However, if you ask whether the meals were exceptionally delicious, I’m not sure they were (just my personal opinion). There’s a convenience store nearby, and Susukinohara? is also close enough to visit on a walk. It was very disappointing to be woken up at 5:30 a.m. by a loud noise!

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Check-in via tablet was smooth, and the service was just right, making the stay very comfortable. We were worried the meals might not be enough, but for our age group it was just the right amount and we finished almost everything. The food was delicious. The Room with a semi-open-air bath felt a bit small, but it was well cleaned and we had a pleasant stay.

    We stayed here the night before a golf outing near Sengokuhara. We stayed in a detached Room with a king-size bed. The semi-open-air bath in the Room had wonderfully soothing water. Since we chose the No Meals Included Plan, we didn’t need to go out at all and were able to enjoy Gora Onsen by soaking many times. One downside was that the “sofa” in the Room seemed more like a beanbag-style cushion and felt cheap to sit on. I think our satisfaction would have been much higher if there had simply been a regular sofa. If asked whether we would stay again, I can’t answer immediately—but the bath was outstanding.

    It was a good Hotel.

    In recent years, I visit Hakone about twice a month. This was my first stay here, and although it is a small Hotel, it was quiet with none of the bustle you often find at larger Accommodations. The cleaning was thorough, and the Hotel was very clean. I’m not used to smart check-in procedures, but the front desk staff kindly supported me during check-in. At checkout, only the Hot Spring Tax was due; when I requested to pay in cash, the male staff member at the front desk handled it courteously. The food was delicious; however, I felt dinner portions were slightly insufficient. There were enough dishes in number, but having rice and a simple side dish—and being able to get refills of rice—would make it even more satisfying.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    I completely forgot that check-in is done via a QR code… but the Hotel staff kindly helped me out. It’s a calm, adults-only hideaway kind of Hotel, so I felt very relaxed. The food was delicious, but the dessert was a bit disappointing… Only one of the baths has an open-air bath, which was also a little disappointing, but I guess that can’t be helped since there are Plans with an open-air bath in the Room. Oh, and the color of the bed fabric… it wasn’t to my taste. But it was comfortable to sleep in! It was a small and lovely Hotel.

    Quiet Accommodation

    We enjoyed a peaceful stay in a quiet environment with no noise from children. The meal featured rare ingredients such as conger eel; I initially thought it might not be quite enough, but it was more satisfying than expected. The staff were also very good. Thank you for taking care of us.

    It was a relaxing accommodation.

    This was my first stay here. All the staff were wonderful, and the meals were truly delicious. The Room was also very clean, and I was able to relax in the tatami area. The open-air bath in the Room was a very pleasant Onsen, and because it was so easy to use, I soaked in it four times. (There was no need to use the large public bath.) I highly recommend the annex Rooms with an open-air bath. I was completely satisfied with this Accommodation and would love to visit again when the garden greenery and autumn leaves are at their most beautiful.

    I was able to relax in a calm and peaceful place.

    A calm atmosphere overall and a spacious Room. In the quiet forest, I was able to spend a very pleasant time. The Onsen left my skin smooth and radiant as described, and it also has a warming effect. The meals were also healthy and thoughtfully prepared with the body in mind. I would like to visit again.

    The Room, Onsen, and meals were all excellent.

    Because meals and the large public bath are in the main building, some guests may find it inconvenient to cross the road, but for me it was acceptable. Since we were on the first floor, there were no stairs to deal with, and the in-Room Onsen was very comfortable, so I would stay again. The meals were enough for me, but younger guests or men might find them a little light… Service was quick and pleasant. One thing I noticed was the Room sofa. If the height match with the table and stains on the cover were improved, it would be even more comfortable.

    The Onsen is describ...

    The Onsen is described as being good for the skin and leaving it smooth, but I didn’t feel that at all. There was a chlorine smell, and it actually made my skin feel dry instead. Also, 40 minutes for the hot stone sauna was too short, and I could barely work up a sweat—disappointing. The front desk staff were very pleasant; even though I arrived early, they helped me without any sign of annoyance. Thank you as well for patiently explaining how to use my smartphone until I understood. Since I was traveling alone, they also took care with the dining arrangement, so I could eat comfortably without feeling self-conscious.

    It was a comfortable Ryokan.

    Reserved an annex with a private open-air bath. The introduction of online check-in made the process very smooth. The receptionist and dining staff were young but very cheerful and wonderful people. The room was clean, compact yet spacious enough to relax, and there were drinks in the refrigerator (which is becoming rare these days), which was great. The downside was that the large/small public baths were small and cold, which was quite disappointing. However, considering the price, it was a very satisfying Ryokan, so I wanted to recommend it as a token of gratitude by posting this review. Thank you for your polite and pleasant service!

    The review rating was high, so I had high expectations, but...

    Areas for Improvement at the Ryokan: Positive Aspects: - A variety of welcome drinks were available, including hot ginger tea, cold beverages, and red and white wine. - The water in the large public bath and the private open-air bath attached to the room was excellent, leaving my skin smooth. - Beverages in the room's refrigerator (water, orange juice, beer) were complimentary for each guest. Concerns: - Even after ringing the bell at the main building's reception counter, staff took a long time to arrive. Many staff members seemed to be in the kitchen area and appeared confused when approached there. - I stayed in a separate annex where there were many small steps that might not be suitable for elderly guests. It felt more appropriate for adults aged 20–50 years old. - While relaxing in what was described as a semi-open-air bath, it felt more like an open-air bath with only movable partitions separating it from outside; this made it very cold during this season. In addition, opening these partitions allowed sounds from nearby neighbors walking their dogs to be heard clearly in the morning—raising concerns about privacy visibility issues too! - There was inconsistency regarding furniture quality between rooms; one of our two reserved rooms had an old sofa that was significantly lower than expected—unsuitable especially if someone has weak knees or mobility challenges! - The food taste itself wasn’t particularly special but portions ensured fullness overall; however non-alcohol drinkers might prefer rice served earlier alongside sashimi instead waiting longer unnecessarily delaying sequence adjustments despite polite willingness accommodating requests initially yet unclear responses later left mixed impressions overall dining experience coordination-wise! - When asking whether luggage shipping services existed back home via front desk assistance options clarified availability contingent upon pre-paid arrangements exclusively though     Hakone Girls' Trip

    We stayed as two women. The meals were very delicious, and the timing of serving was excellent. The jacuzzi was also very relaxing. We wanted to leave early in the morning, but since breakfast starts at 8:00 AM, it would be great if it could be available a bit earlier.

    The hospitality was excellent, but due to the small size of the facility, it was sometimes not possible to have meals at the desired time. While it did feel somewhat like a retreat center, the quality of the Onsen was great. Although the cleanliness of areas like the changing room could be improved, amenities and hair dryers provided were of good quality.

    Everything is perfect.

    This accommodation made me want to stay here every time from now on. I stayed in the annex, and from the pleasant scent of cypress at the entrance to the beautiful lobby, everything was delightful! The room's onsen was absolutely amazing! While soaking in the bath, all I could hear were insects and birds. Perhaps it’s a relatively new building? Not only the room but also the entire facility felt new and clean, exactly what I was looking for. The Sengokuhara area is serene, and as an adult-oriented accommodation, it was incredibly quiet. There were no shops within the property, and even vending machines were discreetly placed out of sight. It felt like staying at a private villa where you could truly relax. I also used the large public bath; I was thrilled that they had ReFa showerheads and hairdryers! It would have been perfect if they had ReFa products in my room too. However, having complimentary beer, water, and juice in the fridge made me very happy. Personally, I loved wearing geta when going to the main building. My husband and I stayed this time; most other guests seemed to be either solo travelers or couples as well—so coming with three or more friends might feel out of place... Still, I'd love to stay again! This time we took advantage of a summer sale for an affordable visit; otherwise it might be hard to go regularly... But I'll definitely return someday! The staff maintained a respectful distance while being attentive when needed—it felt just right. There was one particularly pleasant staff member at the restaurant who left a great impression. Breakfast by the window overlooking a garden with my partner was unforgettable. Next time I'd like to visit during colder weather so we can enjoy our private open-air bath even more fully!

    A Hotel for Adults to Relax

    The room features a semi-open-air bath, making it an excellent accommodation for those who wish to relax in peace. However, the meals might feel insufficient for men. I was looking forward to the steak, but the meat served was tough and full of sinew. When I asked the staff about it, they mentioned something along the lines of "You need to choose a higher-grade course for better meat. Here's a knife; cut through the sinew yourself." It would have been less unpleasant if they had at least offered to remake it with an acknowledgment like "There might still be sinew, but we'll prepare another one." Perhaps you could include an explanation that this course comes with lower-grade meat? I chose this accommodation over other hotels but felt disappointed by the staff's response.

    Thank you for your hospitality once again. I visited privately this time because I really enjoyed my first stay. Check-in around 5 PM was crowded, and some people couldn't find seats. However, after about 15 minutes, the front desk was empty. I should have avoided that brief busy period. Next time, if it's crowded, I'll take a short walk for about 10 minutes. Check-in at 5 PM is not recommended; arriving earlier might be a better option. That said, the staff remembered me from my recent visit and kindly offered me a welcome drink as before. Checking in while enjoying the drink was wonderful! This time I stayed in an annex on the opposite side of the main building. It rained during my stay, which was inconvenient but manageable thanks to the provided umbrella. Since there's a public road between buildings, rainy days are unavoidable in terms of convenience. The room was excellent with a king-size bed all to myself! The Onsen operates 24 hours with circulating water at an ideal temperature anytime. For check-out, as I had done previously, I settled payment from my room and issued a receipt via tablet—so convenient now that I'm used to it. Despite its luxurious atmosphere, the staff are always cheerful and friendly—a personal preference of mine! However, for those seeking high-end service standards at luxury accommodations, this may not be ideal. I look forward to visiting again!

    It suits those who find it suitable.

    The accommodation exceeded expectations. Objectively speaking, it is a great place to stay. Due to an unexpected work situation, I had to stay in Hakone and luckily found availability for a reservation. Check-in was smooth with a welcome drink and QR code presentation in advance. The atmosphere was pleasant with jazz music playing, candlelight, and wine served. There is a Lawson convenience store nearby, so there were no inconveniences, and I fully enjoyed my stay with no meals included. The young staff were energetic and friendly, providing excellent service. The room size was similar to that of a business hotel but featured spacious beds that were fantastic. Although the onsen bath was much smaller than expected, it seemed reasonable given the scale of the accommodation. What surprised me most was being able to make card payments via my smartphone and issue receipts by entering details myself during checkout. The front desk never got crowded as receipts could be issued using tablets—an innovative idea for those who value privacy; however, some might find it challenging. Overall, looking at everything objectively, it was a satisfying stay though preferences may vary depending on individuals' needs or expectations!

    Had a relaxing time!

    We stayed in a room with a sauna. It was our first time using a barrel-shaped sauna, and we enjoyed relaxing together as a couple! The room was very spacious and comfortable, which we really appreciated. The meals were just the right portion for us as a couple in our 50s, and they were delicious. If possible: * The mirror in the bathroom of the room is small, and the lighting is dim. A full-length mirror inside the room would be helpful for doing makeup in brighter light. * Our dinner table was located near the center of the floor, facing towards the serving route, which made it slightly less relaxing. * The fire under our pot went out before breakfast was served, so by the time we ate it had cooled down slightly—this was unfortunate. Overall, we were very satisfied! We’d love to stay again during autumn when pampas grass is in season. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Accommodation with Thoughtful Hospitality

    We stayed here to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. It is a small and quiet accommodation. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with breakfast being quite generous in portion. What stood out was the thoughtful attention to detail, such as providing baskets for going to the bath, spare yukatas for when you sweat, and clips to prevent slipper mix-ups. We felt safe and relaxed throughout our stay.

The private open-air bath had an unexpectedly high water temperature, which was surprising. However, as it was designed to allow adding cold water, it turned out fine.

    We stayed for one night and two days in the main building. Considering the basic rate, we were very satisfied with the service, Onsen, and meals. The portion size of the meals was just right for us in our 70s, and we also enjoyed some drinks. One point: I rated the Facility as 4 not because there was a problem but because the air conditioner was installed above the bed's headboard, and its noise bothered me slightly. However, since beer, juice, water, etc., in the Room were provided free of charge, it might have balanced things out. Apologies!

    The onsen was wonder...

    The onsen was wonderful. However, I was not asked about allergies in advance, and the main dish for breakfast contained food I am allergic to, so I couldn't eat it. This left me with a very sad memory. Considering the price range, it would be appreciated if allergies were inquired about during the reservation or at check-in.

    Thank you for accommodating my sudden Reservation and preparing a cake as an option. The sauna in the Room was accessible anytime, which was great, but I believe the open-air bath was only available as a cold bath. Therefore, I went to the large public bath instead, but it felt a bit crowded during peak hours. I look forward to using your services again if I have another opportunity.
