    From the moment we arrived, the parking guidance, check-in, shop, and breakfast venue staff were all very welcoming, and their smiles and service made our stay truly comfortable. The Room was also clean and well maintained. We also appreciated the complimentary beer and ice cream after bathing. Thank you very much.

    Unazuki Onsen

    It was my first time visiting Unazuki Onsen. The Room felt a bit old, but it was very clean. There were a few issues, such as the phone not working and the living room light about to go out, but they didn’t cause much trouble. The women’s open-air bath was extremely hot, so I couldn’t stay in for long, but my mother really liked it, which was great. The shower pressure was surprisingly strong and felt wonderful. Being able to have coffee and tea anytime and the relaxed atmosphere made for a pleasant stay.

    Although it felt like there were many group guests, the bath and meals were completely stress-free! The Room was also very clean.

    A standard Business Hotel

    Everything feels like an ordinary Business Hotel. Both dinner and breakfast seem to be mostly pre-made dishes. It’s a mystery why it has such high ratings!?

    Warm hospitality

    The Room was spacious and very well cleaned, making for a comfortable stay. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious across the board. Best of all was the service—every staff member greeted us with a smile and such gentle hospitality that it was as soothing as the Onsen itself. On our way back, we had started walking to the station when the Shuttle Service bus happened to return, and the driver came after us and called out, “Please hop on!” Since we had luggage, it was a huge help. We hadn’t even requested the Shuttle Service, so we truly appreciated their flexible response. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

    A 4-star rating feels hard to justify; the meals were disappointing.

    We checked in on a weekday (Thursday) with six adults (three couples, including two seniors). We parked at the entrance and were unloading our suitcases when a Hotel staff member came out and put them on a cart for us. However, when we checked in and went up to our Room, we had to carry everything ourselves. That felt strange. We chose the 26 m² Japanese-Western modern Room. It seems to have been renovated, and the entrance area is set back nicely, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The beds are low, which felt safe and made it easy to sleep. The sofa by the window was also comfortable for relaxing. There was also a floor chair facing the TV, so we could unwind in the Room. There were no towels in the bath area, and having to enter a safety key number for security was a bit of a hassle for seniors. One person kept getting an error message no matter what they tried, and someone else was asking staff outside to open it. There was an open-air bath as well, but it wasn’t the type where you can sit deeply in it, so although I tried it, I got out quickly. The most disappointing part was the meal. Since we wanted to eat slowly as a group of six, we chose kaiseki instead of a buffet—but there was far too much food. The female staff member with glasses simply gave rushed explanations in rapid speech, which made it hard to relax, and we couldn’t even finish half of it. I felt bad leaving food behind, but having sushi as the rice dish was unexpected. The sashimi and appetizers were delicious. The other staff were very pleasant—the front desk team and the bus driver who provided Shuttle Service to the trolley train were kind as well. Still, perhaps due to understaffing, we rarely saw staff stationed anywhere. I think it’s a good Hotel overall, but I’m not sure I would feel comfortable recommending it to others. It may be better suited for younger guests.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    An Onsen trip with three friends after a long time. I stayed here with my family two years ago and had a great impression, so I decided to come again this time. Last time I enjoyed the buffet shabu-shabu, but since this was a trip with friends, we chose the kaiseki course. The dishes were very spring-like and seasonal, beautifully presented and wonderful to enjoy with the eyes as well. In particular, every staff member was truly pleasant and left an excellent impression. The only thing I noticed was the saltiness of the food. Perhaps because I usually keep it light at home, but overall it tasted a bit strong. I felt that slightly lighter seasoning would bring out the flavors even more. I would definitely like to stay here again next time.

    The Room felt a bit ...

    The Room felt a bit dated, but overall I thought it was a very good-value Accommodation. Since we stayed on a weekday, it may have helped that the other guests were calm and quiet. The large public bath also has a sauna, and the open-air bath is built about half a level lower than the indoor bath, which my child loved—saying it felt like a secret hideout. There was also a shampoo bar, my hair didn’t feel squeaky afterward, and an ice-cold beer after the bath was great!! For dinner, I initially thought shabu-shabu would be pork… but since there’s also beef steak on an iron plate, I was actually glad it was pork! The other dishes were delicious as well, and there was a good selection of alcohol and desserts. It would be even better if towels were available in the large public bath. I’d love to visit again.

    I stayed here for business and had a very comfortable stay. The Room was almost too spacious for one person, and I really appreciated the complimentary drinks. Draft beer after a bath is something you don’t often find, and it was delicious. The baths were excellent, including the open-air bath. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a wide variety of options.

    Unfortunately, the open-air bath was unavailable.

    Despite the heavy snow forecast, our one-night stay exceeded all expectations. The dinner, in particular, was of such high quality that it completely changed my impression of buffet-style meals. Featuring dishes like "Yellowtail Shabu-shabu," "Nodoguro," and "Steak," we enjoyed a feast beyond satisfaction. The all-you-can-drink alcohol option was also impressive. We were given a larger room than reserved and relaxed while enjoying the snowy scenery. The only disappointments were the closure of the open-air bath due to bear sightings, the room not warming up properly, and the firm pillows making it difficult to sleep comfortably. I would love to stay again during the operating season of the trolley train!

    We stayed as a group...

    We stayed as a group of three women, and from the pick-up service at the station, the staff provided very attentive care. The complimentary draft beer after a bath was a delightful surprise. The Twin Room was spacious with views of autumn foliage on the mountains and the river, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing morning with coffee while admiring the scenery. Additionally, when I forgot my blouse in the room, they promptly contacted me and sent it back free of charge. All staff members were exceptionally considerate in their service. I would love to visit again!

    The room was spaciou...

    The room was spacious and very nice. The large public bath, open-air bath, and changing area were all very clean, allowing us to enjoy the Onsen at a leisurely pace. I thought it might be crowded with meals and baths when there are group guests, but it was divided into two sessions, so it wasn't crowded and was great!

    The shuttle service driver's kind personality was heartwarming. The parking lot being a bit far is a slight drawback. I would like to use it again if I have the chance.

    It was a trip with my daughter.

    I had always wanted to visit the Uozu Buried Forest Museum, and I finally made it this time. I chose this hotel because I wanted accommodation with an onsen. Located in a quiet mountain onsen area, both the room and the bath were very clean. I had a relaxing stay and was extremely satisfied. However, I was slightly disappointed that there were no basic skincare products in the room. That evening, there happened to be a lobby concert at 7 PM. Although I had already reserved dinner, when I told a female staff member that I wanted to watch the concert, she kindly informed the restaurant for me so that I could enjoy the performance. Her kind response made me very happy. The concert in the lobby was wonderful and became a memorable moment for me. The next morning during checkout, that same staff member was at the front desk and asked me how I enjoyed the concert—it truly touched my heart! Their hospitality was incredibly comforting. Highly recommended!

    It was a nice Hotel with a pool.

    I stayed here at the end of summer vacation. I was able to enjoy the Onsen, pool, and meals without any crowds. The pool was moderately spacious and very clean. The Onsen, including the shampoo bar, had a slightly higher temperature but Black Nagi Onsen was a truly pleasant experience. For meals, breakfast options were limited, but dinner offered a wide variety of dishes including exceptional shabu-shabu and sashimi.

    Delicious buffet!

    The staff provided excellent service from the moment we arrived. The meals were served buffet-style, and I was delighted with the delicious sashimi and roast beef. I wish I had more time to enjoy them at a leisurely pace. The face towels for the bath were made of thick material, making them a bit hard to wring out. I appreciated the enjoyable features like the shampoo bar and drink bar. There were also plenty of facilities for children, such as a pool, which made it fun for families. We made great use of the towel rental service during our footbath tour around the area—it was very convenient! Thank you for making this trip so wonderful!

    Check-in starts at 3:00 PM. Due to the high temperature of 34°C and having a second-grade child, we expected to arrive a bit earlier and called the front desk to ask if we could use the pool before check-in. As expected, they said it was available from 3:00 PM. However, their response felt cold, as if asking such a question was unreasonable. We were allowed to fill out the necessary paperwork for early check-in (though not entering the Room) and were asked about our desired pool usage time. Surprisingly, we were informed that the pool could be used from 2:30 PM. It seemed like the front desk staff wasn’t aware of this timing, which was frustrating. Perhaps they didn’t know how to confirm such details properly?

    We stayed for two nights during the Obon season with a Plan that included breakfast and dinner. The staff were very friendly, and the amenities in the bath area, including hair dryers, were well-equipped and clean, which was excellent. The Room was a Japanese-style room; although it felt slightly dated, it was clean and spacious enough for two people to enjoy comfortably. We also appreciated the welcome drink and post-bath drink service; however, as we do not drink alcohol, we would have liked more options for fresh juice or other soft drinks. Breakfast and dinner were served buffet-style. While there was a wide variety of dishes available, we wished there had been more Western-style options at breakfast & larger cups for hot drinks would have been more convenient. Additionally, we hoped to try more local vegetables and fruits.

    The staff at the Facility provided excellent service, making for a very pleasant and comfortable stay! The cleaning staff also greeted us cheerfully, leaving a great impression. The shared areas, such as the large public bath, were kept very clean and well-maintained. However, it was unfortunate that the sink in the Room was clogged. It took time for water to drain every time we brushed our teeth or washed our face... Everything else about the stay was perfect, so I hope this issue can be improved in the future!

    The bath was spacious, at the perfect temperature, and had a smooth and pleasant feel. The open-air bath was also lovely. The Room was clean and comfortable to stay in. The only concern was the crackling noise from the TV.

    Would love to stay again!

    The renovated rooms and facilities were very clean and comfortable. All the staff were extremely kind. The shuttle service to the station for the trolley train at any time was very helpful! It seems there aren't many dining facilities nearby for dinner, so I highly recommend choosing a dinner-included plan! I added it later myself. Both my parents and children were overall very happy!

    The breakfast and dinner were delicious.

    The buri shabu, seafood bowl, and especially the white shrimp tempura were delicious. The variety was abundant, and we couldn't try everything even during a Multiple Night Stay. Complimentary beer after bathing and free sake or shochu during dinner were much appreciated. The Room and bath were clean, making it a cost-effective family-friendly Hotel.

    It was very good.

    I used it to ride the trolley. Both the Facility and the Room were new, beautiful, and clean. The large public bath and the open-air bath were also clean and well-maintained. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, allowing me to enjoy my favorite dishes. I was able to leave my car in the parking lot and was taken to the trolley station by the Hotel's car. According to the driver, there is less snow this year. It was a very comfortable trip. I would like to stay here again someday.

    I was glad to be able to eat soft serve ice cream.

    The breakfast was excellent, and I enjoyed being able to have soft serve ice cream as well. Having a microwave was helpful, but since it was quite popular, it would be great if there were two available.

    About Security

    There was a slight concern as the Room did not have a safe. Unlike last year, there was a security code setting for the bath, similar to other Route Inn hotels. I had no complaints about the staff's response or anything else in particular.
