A Clean Accommodation with All-You-Can-Drink Options

I stayed here to accompany my family, who love sake, but dinner was average and there was no explanation. The room was clean but small, and noise from the toilet and hallway carried straight through. There are only steep stairs, so my elderly mother had a hard time. The bath I was looking forward to was small, and even though only one man was staying, it was still separated by gender—an unclear system. Breakfast was very tasty, but for non-drinkers it felt like an Accommodation similar to a simple guesthouse with little else to offer.

    A serene ambiance

Located slightly away from the center of the Onsen town in Tokamachi, it offers a more tranquil atmosphere. The staff's attentiveness is excellent; although there was a minor issue, their response afterward was very satisfactory. As for the cuisine, it is expected to be exceptional as a chef from Tamakiya, part of the same group, will be coming after the New Year.

    A Quiet Adult Resort

The meals were excellent, surpassing expectations for accommodation dining. The paired drinks were also delightful, with detailed explanations enhancing the wonderful dinner experience. Breakfast was a simple yet hearty Japanese meal and very tasty. The room was simple but featured a raised area that served well as luggage storage. The large window offered enjoyable views, and the bed was comfortable for a restful sleep. While the room's bath was not an onsen, the public bath did offer onsen facilities; however, it wasn't Matsunoyama Onsen, which was slightly disappointing. Since we were the only guests that day, we enjoyed a quiet and relaxing time playing borrowed games and had an overall wonderful stay.

A paradise for drink lovers. Great nighttime atmosphere.

The shared refrigerator is stocked with a wide variety of free drinks! From Niigata sake to herbal teas, the selection is heaven for drink enthusiasts. Originally a hostel, the building has undergone significant renovations. The bath area is small, but amenities like "ReFa" showerheads and hairdryers are on par with luxury hotels. The restaurant and bar have an ambiance similar to "Fufu," making it a great experience.

    Second Stay

The room we stayed in did not have a private bath or toilet, but the shared facilities were well-maintained and very clean. A large painting on the wall of the room added a stylish yet simple and calming touch. The refrigerator in the hallway was stocked with unlimited drinks like sake, wine, and herbal tea! Most importantly, the meals and drinks made with local ingredients were absolutely delicious. Enjoying these dishes while gazing at lush greenery was truly wonderful! The breakfast the next morning offered an impressive variety of dishes that left us completely satisfied.

    Ideal Accommodation

I have been traveling across the whole country in search of the ideal accommodation, and I finally found it here. I experienced a space and time filled with indescribable beauty and a sense of mystery. This accommodation perfectly balances breathtaking views, hidden gems, deep nature, stylish design, refined taste, luxury, rooms with open-air baths, exquisite meals, fine drinks, and private spaces. Although the staff mentioned that there is "nothing here," to me that felt like the ultimate luxury. This accommodation excels in its spatial design, community revitalization energy, food culture such as pairing sake with wine, maintaining an appropriate distance from other guests while offering attentive service from the staff. It is not just an accommodation but feels like a treasure box full of charm—a hub for showcasing Niigata's allure—and it became an unforgettable stay for me. During breakfast time, I even felt as if I had traveled back in time. Thank you very much!

    For better or worse...

Thank you for the other day. Around 16:30 on the day, there was a call about the meal grade, and I thought it was polite. However, since it was not that affordable to begin with, I refrained from upgrading. We arrived just before dinner time and were taken directly to the restaurant without going to the Room. The first appetizer served was something with crushed liver on a cracker and something inside a puff pastry. I don't think it suited my taste very well. The subsequent dishes were also quite unique, and although I ate everything, I thought it might have been better not to include meals. Also, the journey to the Hotel was tough. I think those who are okay with long mountain roads on a nice day will be fine, but it was quite tiring. Over 60,000 yen for two people per night. I had expected something of slightly higher quality, so I was a bit disappointed. I left without taking many photos. The staff were polite and nice.
