    Would love to stay again.

    I made a reservation when the accommodation first opened, but unfortunately had to cancel during the COVID-19 period due to local government advisories. Since then, I hadn't had a chance to visit (though I went to Karuizawa several times), but finally stayed this time. I was looking forward to the meals and informed them of my food allergies in advance. While I didn't exclude ingredients I'm not particularly fond of, even those were deliciously prepared and enjoyable. The portions were generous, and I thoroughly enjoyed everything until the end. As I'm not much of a drinker, I didn't opt for wine pairing or free-flow drinks; however, I did try a little sangria from the free-flow options and enjoyed browsing through their variety of offerings. Instead of alcohol, I indulged in several ice creams! :) The games available for borrowing were fun as well—I'd love it if they could expand their selection in the future! The bath was spacious with great showers; however, one thing that caught my attention was that cold water occasionally spurted out along with bubbles from the jacuzzi jets (something I've never experienced before). This made it uncomfortable as cold water hit my body and caused the bathwater temperature to drop quickly—I adjusted by adding hot water frequently. Since I'm not fond of small rooms, I chose a larger room this time. However, after reading other guests' comments about how cozy even compact rooms are here, I'd like to try one next time. Lastly (though it's understandable since all hotels have increased prices over time), remembering Twin Line's opening rates makes me realize how much higher prices have become now ((+_+)). That said—I am very satisfied overall!

    We enjoyed the Room,...

    We enjoyed the Room, meals, and free-flow drinks. We would love to stay again. As it was our first visit, an explanation of the evening free-flow system would have been helpful. At check-in, our name was confirmed each time the staff changed; better coordination could make the process smoother.

    Within walking dista...

    Within walking distance from Karuizawa Station and Old Karuizawa Ginza. Great ambiance. Excellent meals and wine pairings. Plenty of rental items available, making it easy to travel light. Looking forward to visiting again during a more affordable season!

    It used to be my favorite...

    During my previous stay, the staff provided excellent service, which made me look forward to staying here again. However, this time, the breakfast staff's behavior was disappointing. They swept with a broom right next to where I was eating and did not clear away used dishes at all. The person in a jacket, possibly the manager, seemed to be giving instructions diligently, but the rest of the staff were unprofessional. The service quality is completely different from about six months ago—did something happen?

    We had a great time.

    I had a great time on my first visit to Karuizawa. It was nice to have a variety of breakfast options, and it was delicious. We enjoyed not only the amenities but also the coffee service and evening alcohol service. Regarding the alcohol service, the space where drinks were placed was narrow, and it was somewhat difficult to use as foreign tourists occupied it.

    Disappointing

    The compact rooms and the atmosphere of the restaurant were nice. I was surprised that the towels in the room were worn out. The paella I was looking forward to for dinner didn't suit my taste... Despite leaving 90% of it, there was no concern or inquiry from the staff. The Diamond member benefit was supposed to be a 2,000 yen voucher for use within the facility, but it was actually 1,000 yen.
