    Perfect for families

It met our expectations and was more than sufficient for a summer holiday with preschool-aged children. The property does feel a bit dated, and the indoor areas were somewhat warm, and it’s a bit of a walk to the large public bath, but none of it was troublesome. We had no issues enjoying the beach, the indoor and outdoor pools, or the meals.

I want to stay here again!

I’ve been staying here for years, and this time I visited again after a long break for a birthday trip. Since you upgraded my Room, I was in the best mood! I’ve stayed at many Hotels around Okinawa, but Rizzan is one of my favorites—great value even if it’s a bit old, and overall highly rated in my book. Thank you so much to all the staff! I’ll be back! What I liked The renovated Room was comfortable My favorite Japanese breakfast “Shichifuku” was delicious (shabu-shabu, seafood rice bowl, chawanmushi) The large public bath was a great refresh With the shop and welcome drink corner, etc., you can relax inside even on rainy days Eisa show What concerned me An acrylic panel instead of a shower curtain in the unit bath Even though I tried to be careful while showering, the toilet side got quite soaked, and it was tough to clean up myself No towel hanger in the bathroom, which was inconvenient There was no safe The mattress and pillows were too soft (I couldn’t sleep well on either of the two nights) Because the mattress is thick and high, it’s hard to sit on the edge

    It was comfortable!

This was our second stay, following our visit more than ten years ago, and we stayed for three nights. Although the Hotel feels a bit dated, it was clean and well maintained. Last time we only stayed one night and didn’t have time to explore the property much, but this time we were able to relax and truly enjoy our Hotel stay. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, and the dessert buffet was delicious as well. There were also plenty of convenient shops on-site, including a convenience store and souvenir shops. The awamori specialty shop was especially nice—we could sample various options. Next time, I’d like to bring my granddaughter.

Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, with more variety than we could possibly try, and we were very satisfied. The location right in front of the sea offered amazing views, and we would love to stay again. It was a little disappointing that there was no morning bath on weekdays, but the facilities were spacious and clean, and overall we had a wonderful, fulfilling stay!

    Great value for money!

We stayed for two nights in a renovated ocean-view Room. The large public bath was not crowded and helped us recover from travel fatigue. There were no amenities such as facial toner or lotion in the Room. Most of the staff were from overseas. Considering we could stay at this price with breakfast and dinner buffet included, I think the value for money is excellent.

    Great value for money.

We stayed as a large group this time. We made Reservations for four Rooms, and it was very helpful that they connected them in pairs. At check-in, we were told that two Rooms were out of order and could not be connected, but when we spoke to the staff member who had connected the other two Rooms, they kindly unlocked them for us. The age of the Rooms and Facilities is noticeable, but considering the price, it was not an issue at all. However, noise from the hallway and from the Rooms above and below was quite loud, and we didn’t get much sleep. We chose a plan with breakfast and dinner included; everything was very delicious, and our children were very satisfied. We also really appreciated that they lent us dedicated tongs for our child with allergies. As for the BBQ dinner, there was a lot of smoke—everyone’s eyes hurt badly. They opened a window for us, but people sitting nearby felt cold and closed it right away, so the smoke built up again. We couldn’t eat comfortably. Despite various issues, I think it’s rare to find an oceanfront Hotel with everything included at this price. We heard it will be rebranded under Marriott in the future, so stays at such a great value may not be possible anymore—but we would like to stay again.

    Oceanfront

The Hotel faces the sea, offering a sense of openness from the windows. The climate is neither too hot nor too cold, providing a perfectly pleasant experience. It is an ideal base for exploring the northern area. A morning walk on the Hotel's private beach is perfect if the weather is clear. As it does not have an Onsen, do not expect a large public bath.

The staff's hospitality was excellent, and the meals were satisfying. We had a wonderful time during our 3-day stay. My mother was also very pleased, and we will definitely come again!

    Large Hotel

Both dinner and breakfast were enjoyed as a buffet. There was a wide variety, which was great, but the warm dishes were slightly cold, which was disappointing. The bath was spacious and easy to use. Although it should have been an upgrade for those aged 65 and over, it remained a standard Room, which was unfortunate. Perhaps there is a lack of coordination? Aside from this point, I think it's an affordable and good Hotel.

    Highly Satisfied

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of the year with two preschool children. The New Year's party, shows, and bingo tournament were incredibly exciting, providing a level of satisfaction we hadn't anticipated. The only downside was that the walls seemed thin, as we could hear voices from the neighboring Room too clearly. Looking forward to improvements on this aspect with the upcoming renovations!

    Hair in the bathroom

The meals provided at this price are decent, so I don't expect much. However, the large amount of hair in the bathroom was unacceptable. Hair was tangled all over the bathtub plug chain. I quickly removed it to avoid upsetting my wife, but this was a first for me despite staying at many hotels before. It felt as though the Hotel's policy might be that cleanliness-conscious Japanese guests need not stay here.

    Affordable Casual Resort Hotel

This was my second stay, and I stayed for two nights. I had forgotten, but I used this Hotel once 7-8 years ago during a busy pre-COVID period. At that time, there was a long line at check-in, and the staff seemed inattentive, leaving me with a poor impression of large Hotels. However, this time was different. While about 80% of the staff were foreign nationals and some did not speak Japanese, everyone provided excellent service with a pleasant attitude that made my stay enjoyable. As it was a solo trip to Clear my mind from daily fatigue, the Hotel's facilities such as shopping areas, large public baths, spa and massage services, convenience store, izakaya (Japanese pub), game center, and nightly Eisa shows allowed me to have fun without leaving the premises. This time I truly appreciated all the good aspects of staying in a large Hotel. It was an extremely windy and cold day when no one ventured near the sea; however, listening to the sound of waves from my balcony while watching sunlight sparkle on the ocean occasionally made for a relaxing experience. It turned out to be such a happy vacation. I am also very grateful that you kindly accommodated my Room request. The wide variety of breakfast options—so many that it’s impossible to try everything in one sitting—was delightful just to look at! The cost-performance ratio is truly excellent. The freshly prepared omelet made right in front of me was especially delicious! I think this place is perfect for family trips; next time I'd like to bring my elderly mother along. The only disappointment was that the temperature in the large public bath felt low and that morning baths are only available on weekends or holidays—I wasn’t aware of this policy beforehand. On Monday morning I went all the way down to use it but had to return due to its closure despite braving cold weather; I even passed by three other guests who seemed similarly unaware. It would be helpful if these details were emphasized more clearly during check-in or elsewhere for better communication with guests.

    Breakfast Buffet

The breakfast buffet offers a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes with a menu that changes slightly every day. It features an abundance of options, including Okinawan specialties, ensuring a satisfying start to your day. There is also a station where you can create your own seafood bowl with unlimited servings of salmon roe. Everything was incredibly delicious.

A birthday cake was served at the dining venue, but the photo taken was blurry, and there wasn’t much effort to create a lively atmosphere, which felt a bit disappointing.

    We made wonderful memories.

First of all, it was a very comfortable hotel. We stayed for 3 nights, and as time went on, we grew attached to it and felt sad when leaving. At first, the room key was an actual key, the doorknob and faucet were the turning type, and the room was dimly lit (it turned out to be adjustable lighting), which made my son want to go home. However, he eventually started calling it "my home," showing how comfortable our stay became. The cleaning service was also thorough. The facilities within the hotel were excellent. I was surprised by the great selection at both the souvenir shop and convenience store. Although we only used the restaurant for breakfast, other places like izakaya bars and barbecue areas seemed lively and fun. We also enjoyed perks like a complimentary sweets buffet and one free drink as part of our online reservation benefits—this was my first time fully enjoying a hotel experience like this! In an era where luxury hotels are becoming more common, this hotel had a welcoming atmosphere that wasn’t pretentious in any way—a place where people of all ages including families, couples, or groups could feel at ease. That said, there were notices about major renovations turning it into an international chain hotel in response to aging infrastructure or inbound tourism needs—it’s understandable but still bittersweet to see such a charming place change. All in all, it became a wonderful trip for us—thank you so much to all the staff!

The hotel is old, but it was kept very clean. With a Multiple Night Stay, lunch vouchers were included, so there was almost no need to pay extra within the hotel. I think the cost performance is excellent. The beach right in front of the hotel is shallow, making it safe for small children to play. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all very delicious and did not get boring even with a Multiple Night Stay. If renovations are planned in the future, having rooms with separate bath and toilet would be preferable.

Breakfast was good, but there may be a waiting time.

The breakfast on the first floor was convenient with no waiting time and included a terrace, which was nice. The second-floor breakfast, featuring unlimited salmon roe, had a 30-minute wait. Despite the wait, the meal was satisfying and well-prepared. It would have been helpful to receive information about waiting times during check-in. Regarding the adventure ticket plan, there was no guidance on available usage times, which disappointed my child. Although there were many perks included in the plan, not all of them were explained thoroughly, leaving us unable to fully enjoy our stay. There seemed to be many international guests and staff members who did not understand Japanese. Some employees only spoke English and could not respond when asked questions in Japanese. Additionally, as this is a large hotel, it took about five minutes to walk from our room to the front desk. Although the hotel is old, it offers plenty of fun with its beachfront location right outside. While float rentals are available, it’s disappointing that snorkeling gear cannot be rented—this would have been very convenient as such items can be cumbersome to bring along. This experience helped me decide whether I should choose an expensive plan with perks or opt for a cheaper room and add extras later for my next reservation.

    This was my first ti...

This was my first time using this accommodation. I was aware of the building's age, so that wasn't an issue, but there were a few concerns. Since I made the reservation nearly six months ago, these points stood out even more. - As I chose a no-dinner plan, I separately reserved dinner about six months in advance. Despite other seats being available, we were seated at a dark table with no view of the outside or windows due to a pillar blocking everything. It was disappointing. When we requested to move to another seat, we were told it wasn’t possible. If this is how it’s handled even with such early reservations, I wouldn’t have bothered reserving dinner in advance. - While it's perfectly fine that staff at the pool and beach are from overseas, there were times when none of them could speak Japanese at all. This raised concerns about safety during emergencies like rescue situations. Pairing them with someone who understands Japanese would provide more reassurance. - We received fireworks for children and followed arrows on the sand leading to what seemed like the designated area for fireworks use; however, there was no clear indication of where exactly it should be done. Many guests appeared confused and unsure about what to do next—some fathers called reception while my husband asked staff directly but only got vague responses like "around here." There weren’t even buckets provided... Given that this is a large hotel accommodating many guests, I understand there are limitations on what can be done; however, clearer announcements or better communication methods might reduce inquiries and improve efficiency overall. Although I've voiced some criticisms here, I'd still like to stay again and hope improvements will be made!

    The marine activities were terrible.

I stayed at the accommodation during Golden Week again this year, just like last year. The staff's hospitality was excellent as always. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and was creatively prepared, making it delicious. However, I was disappointed that the jimami tofu available last year was not offered this time. I enjoyed watching the Eisa show and also got to experience the island song live performance that I missed last year, as well as indulging in the sweets buffet. The idea of being able to make pancakes on a hot plate is fantastic, but there were often times when children occupied it for playtime purposes. I participated in a snorkeling tour; however, the equipment provided—wetsuits, shoes, and life jackets—was in terrible condition. The wetsuits were patched up everywhere, shoes had holes in them, and life jackets were falling apart with white polyethylene foam coming out from inside. Considering we paid nearly double compared to other marine activities for this hotel’s service, I couldn’t help but question if such equipment is acceptable. Having dived at various locations worldwide before now, this was by far the worst experience regarding gear quality. Additionally, while there were only two groups (a family with children and us), we felt almost entirely neglected by our instructor during assistance time on-site activities overall left much room improvement hope these issues addressed future guests' better experiences

    The refrigerator is noisy.

The refrigerator noise was loud, and I could hear lively sounds from the neighboring Room, so it was hard to relax. However, the price is cheaper compared to nearby options, so I am satisfied and think I will use it again.

    The layout is complex.

The route from the pool to the large public bath involves many ups and downs, making it feel quite complicated, though the large public bath itself is spacious and pleasant. Since many guests likely move from the pool to the large public bath, it would be better if this route were simplified. It was surprising that lockers at the pool require a fee, and while using the large public bath in swimwear is not allowed, there are no amenities in the shower room by the pool, which seems odd. The air conditioning in the Hotel lobby was not functioning well, creating an unpleasant atmosphere upon entry. The most disappointing aspects were that Hotel staff appeared unfriendly and there was a price difference for canned beer between vending machines in the large public bath area and those sold at shops.

The breakfast and dinner buffets are delicious and offer a wide variety!

We visited Okinawa again to celebrate my 80-year-old mother's milestone and my middle school daughter's graduation, having stayed here as a family about 18 years ago. The highlight was definitely the food! There was a wide variety, and everything was delicious. It had been a while since I enjoyed such a satisfying hotel buffet. However, one disappointment was the Onsen. Although we received free tickets, we were told that free entry was only available until 8 PM, after which there would be an additional charge. We rushed to use it before the deadline but couldn't relax properly. By bedtime, I felt chilled and ended up paying ¥900 per person to enter again later. An 8 PM cutoff feels too early. Additionally, there were no morning baths available, and the hours were limited from around 5 or 6 PM to just two hours until 8 PM—this felt inconvenient. Other than that, there were two or three shops selling souvenirs in the hotel, which I found quite nice!

    Best value for money

The meals, including Okinawan cuisine and a variety of Japanese and Western dishes, were delicious and satisfying. Services such as facility vouchers and dessert buffets added great value for the price. However, the long route to the bath and the outdated shower facilities made it somewhat inconvenient.

    It was excellent.

We stayed for 3 nights as a family of four (children aged 4 and 6). Although we were prepared for a long wait at check-in due to reviews, we were pleasantly surprised to be guided smoothly without any wait, even during the busy spring break period in late March. During our stay, we caused some inconvenience with incidents like locking ourselves out, but every staff member responded kindly and courteously. Thanks to them, we had a very pleasant family trip. Thank you very much!

    Okinawa is the best!

It was my first time staying at the same Hotel for more than two nights in over 20 years since my honeymoon, but thanks to the kind and attentive service of the staff, it added a special touch to our much-anticipated trip to Okinawa without ever feeling monotonous. We checked out yesterday and returned home, but it turned out to be such a wonderful trip that made us wish we could stay longer. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Okinawa. Thank you so much to everyone!

    About the Room

I had reserved an ocean view room. The weather was excellent the next morning, and the view from the room was absolutely stunning. The terrace was spacious, allowing for a relaxing stay, which became a wonderful memory. Although the hotel itself is old, it was well-maintained and clean, making for a pleasant experience.

We enjoyed it as a family.

We stayed for two nights with our 2-year-old child. We were upgraded to a larger room than the one we reserved, and we are grateful for being able to relax in a spacious room. When we requested to move the bed after check-in, they responded immediately, and their quick response was very helpful. Since we cooperated with not needing room cleaning for stays of two nights or more, we received vouchers that could be used at the Facility, allowing us to shop at the hotel's convenience store. This Property is friendly to families with children, offering a kids' station, heated pool, Onsen, afternoon tea as a repeat visitor benefit, and Okinawan dance performances at night. We were able to relax as a family at the Hotel. There is also a kids' floor in the afternoon tea venue where you can let your children play while enjoying tea. The water in the heated pool was colder than expected; after about an hour our child started shivering from coldness so we left early. Other visitors also left quickly; on cold days I hope they check and adjust the pool water temperature accordingly. Although I ended on a strict note, it was still a Hotel we'd like to visit again as a family.

    Great value for money!

We used this for the first time as we were looking for an affordable Hotel for a family trip with 3 Rooms for 6 nights. As a result, the cost performance was excellent and we were very satisfied. Even though we usually don't eat breakfast, we were able to substitute it for lunch or dinner, which was very enjoyable and economical. We were soothed by the sound of the waves while in the Room, and by the smell of the tide when we went out to the beach. The freedom unique to a large Hotel was comfortable and exceeded our expectations. All the staff were very pleasant, and we were able to spend a relaxing time. Thank you very much.
