    @ひーちゃん!

Enjoyable even for a day trip.

We used the accommodation for a day trip to celebrate his birthday. It was our first time staying in a room with an open-air bath, and unlike the large public bath, we were able to relax together at our own pace. Dinner was kaiseki cuisine, and we were attended by a dedicated staff member who provided excellent service, allowing us to enjoy dishes like grilled items leisurely. Initially, we were guided to the underground parking lot, but even with a compact car, the ceiling height was too low, so we had to give up parking there. At check-in, inputting necessary information on the tablet took some time and made us realize why there was such a long line. The lobby had limited seating space, so we enjoyed complimentary drinks while standing. Finding the entrance to our room was slightly confusing at first; however, once inside, it turned out to be an incredibly quiet and peaceful space. It was such a lovely accommodation that I hope for smoother guidance during our next visit!

    The building is new,...

The building is new, and both the Onsen and the room were clean, allowing for a relaxing and satisfying stay. Everything was excellent, but if I may suggest, it would be even better if more seasonal dishes were served. I look forward to visiting again!

    I booked this accomm...

I booked this accommodation with an onsen open-air bath due to a sudden vacation. The access by train was convenient, but I traveled by car this time for other purposes. Check-in was at 3 PM, and I was directed to the second parking lot even though there were spaces available in front of the entrance; some explanation would have been appreciated. The reserved room was on the same floor as the reception desk, making it easy to move around. Let the onsen indulgence begin! Although my room had an onsen open-air bath, there were also two large public baths and three private baths available, offering plenty of options for a hot spring tour. By check-out time, I managed to enjoy all of them thoroughly—and of course, made full use of my room's bath as well. For dinner, I chose grilled kaiseki cuisine; while the portion size and content were fine, pre-cooked seafood seemed to affect its flavor negatively. Breakfast included dried horse mackerel that had been pre-prepared and only needed warming up—this too was a bit disappointing. As part of Kyoritsu Resort's signature services, post-bath treats and late-night ramen were excellent as always. Though my renovated room had a faintly unpleasant smell—possibly from hinoki wood—it didn’t detract much from my overall experience. Overall satisfaction: very high! Especially regarding the onsens—they were absolutely fantastic!

    It was excellent.

I stayed with a plan that included a private open-air onsen in the room and both dinner and breakfast as a birthday gift from my partner. I was tempted by a similar menu at another hotel last minute, but choosing this accommodation with great reviews turned out to be the right decision. There were two large public natural onsen baths and three types of private onsens, each with rest areas offering unlimited ice cream, drinks, and coffee milk. The facility had just been renovated, so everything was incredibly clean. I also loved that there were coffee beans and a grinder provided in the room. Since my boyfriend is foreign and has tattoos, I was slightly worried about being warned. However, as long as he covered them in the public onsen baths, there were no issues at all, which we greatly appreciated. The staff also explained the dishes directly in English for us, which was very helpful. We loved it so much that we will definitely visit again for special occasions!

It was great to enjoy various types of Onsen.

The renovated interior was very beautiful. The Room's private open-air bath was a cypress bath, allowing us to relax while enjoying the scent of cypress. It was convenient as we could fill the bath ourselves and add more hot water as needed. The large public bath at Suika no Sho had an open-air bath and even a reclining bath, which made for a very refreshing experience. Since there was a gender switch at night, we were able to enjoy the other side in the morning. We used the large public bath at Suigetsu no Sho only in the morning. Unfortunately, it rained, so we gave up on using the open-air bath. Although it felt smaller compared to Suika no Sho's facilities, it was still enjoyable and comfortable. We also tried three types of private baths and were very satisfied. However, despite being renovated, there was some leakage from rain at Suigetsu no Sho, which made us feel slightly uneasy. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay with amenities like coffee in the lounge and ice cream available after bathing. They also accommodated allergies well, and thanks to their attentive staff members' hospitality, it turned out to be a wonderful refreshing trip!

    It was a disappointing accommodation.

The facility was clean and well-maintained due to its recent renewal, and the variety of baths was enjoyable. However, there were many disappointing aspects, making this a very unsatisfactory stay. Below are the points of concern: 1. I arrived by car, and despite available parking spaces in the flat parking area in front of the entrance, I was directed by staff to use a very narrow underground mechanical parking lot. While I understand that flat spaces might be prioritized for larger vehicles, it would have been better if staff had explained this and offered to park the car on behalf of guests. This left me feeling uncomfortable right upon arrival. 2. For dinner, I was supposed to choose between Ashigara Kaiseki or Grilled Kaiseki upon arrival; however, I was told that Ashigara Kaiseki was fully booked under plans where meals were pre-selected during reservation. This contradicted what had been communicated earlier—another unpleasant experience right after arriving. 3. In the middle of the night, I woke up due to mosquito buzzing sounds and searched throughout the room for something like an insect repellent device (which is usually provided as standard), but found nothing. When calling reception for assistance, no one answered despite repeated attempts. Eventually, I went down to reception myself to get a repellent device but received no apology for their lack of response over the phone. It made me wonder how they would handle emergencies if guests couldn’t reach them—this felt very unsettling. 4. While not expecting much from meals at a non-luxury accommodation level like this one, there seemed to be no creativity or effort in selecting ingredients or presentation within budget constraints either way—the breakfast rice served was soggy enough that it didn’t seem professionally prepared at all; highly disappointing overall. 5.The tablet used during meal times only displayed drink names alongside prices without any descriptions about characteristics per brand/type listed therein whatsoever! Asking staff yielded unhelpful responses too instead thereof improving guest experiences via minor cost-effective adjustments here could go long ways forward positively impacting satisfaction levels alike! 6.Lastly regarding sauna rooms accommodating fewer than three individuals maximum capacity-wise realistically speaking—is such limited utility worth keeping operational altogether? Perhaps reconsidering whether removing entirely might prove beneficial instead depending managerial philosophies underlying decision-making processes involved therein ultimately determining outcomes A tranquil accommodation nestled quietly in Kowakudani

There were various types of Onsen to enjoy, allowing for a relaxing experience. After bathing, ice cream and milk drinks were provided. Although dinner was served late at 20:00, there was a complimentary dango service at 18:00, making the stay truly accommodating. I would love to stay again.

    Girls' Trip

This time, we stayed with three friends for a shrine tour. The Room was spacious and clean. The meals were delicious, and although the staff seemed to be mostly young, everyone provided pleasant service. We would love to stay again.

Enjoy two Onsen: Kowakudani and Miyanoshita.

Dinner and Breakfast Included 【Standard】 Spacious and Relaxing Room "Suigetsu no Sho" … Booked on the same day. The route from the front desk to the room was a bit confusing, but I appreciated being guided to the room entrance after check-in. The room was spacious and comfortable. The highlight was enjoying both Kowakudani Onsen and Miyanoshita Onsen. The room only had a shower booth, amenities needed to be picked up at the front desk, and there were no towels provided in the large public bath—features reminiscent of a Business Hotel—but this seemed to help reduce costs, so it felt acceptable. The private bath that could be used without a reservation lacked a washing area, which posed some risk of guests coming without washing in their rooms or at the public bath first; however, its high turnover rate due to short stays made it convenient. What disappointed me was finding dozens of insects floating in the outdoor onsen under the guestroom building right after check-in, as well as seeing an overturned potted plant left unattended next to it. It would have been nice if these areas were tidied up before check-in time.

Children's dinner is served as a course meal.

We added dinner for parent and child on-site. Initially, we were informed at the front desk that a kids' plate was available for 3,300 yen, but it was later corrected that for elementary school students (1st grade), the same 8,800 yen course as adults would apply. (However, they kindly allowed us to switch to a kids' plate while keeping the price at 8,800 yen.) A 7-year-old and a parent in their 40s ended up with meals of the same volume. The portion seemed too large for a child and included many complex flavors and unfamiliar dishes. Even if paying the same price, it would be nice if there were more thoughtful options tailored to younger children compared to adults. My son ended up eating plain rice with soy sauce. If I were in reverse roles during such a trip with my own child, I wonder if I'd think "this is just normal." This isn't a complaint but rather something I'm curious about! Also, please check the room key as it’s difficult to lock or unlock from outside. The safe couldn’t be used either because its door wouldn’t close properly. The shower floor wasn’t cleaned thoroughly either—just some observations about this Ryokan! Bravo!

    Disappointing accommodation

I have visited several times, but it has become the worst accommodation. Even though I informed them of the ingredients I dislike in advance, they were served first, which was unpleasant. When I mentioned the loud video volume from the next table during the meal, they said it might be a child and didn't even pretend to apologize. In the public bath, someone was using a mobile phone the whole time while bathing, and when I informed them that there were other guests, they irresponsibly said there was a notice about it. For breakfast, for some reason, I was seated right in front of the serving area. When I asked why, they said it was because I had ingredients I disliked, which made no sense. I wonder if there are any guests who find the meals delicious, both breakfast and dinner. Not only foreigners but also others do not wash their bodies before entering the bath. It was so unhygienic that I didn't want to take a bath. Even if it's cheap, I will never go again.
