    Thrilled to rediscover the authentic Ryokan spirit after a long time.

    This was our first stay (my wife and our second-grade grandchild), and from the guidance at the drop-off area to the warm welcome and send-off by the proprietress and staff, we felt true Japanese hospitality in every interaction—including at the dining venue. In particular, when we returned to our Room without having dessert, we were truly impressed that a staff member kindly brought it to us afterward. We were also surprised by how good the Pinot Noir (Burgundy) was for the price. This is an Accommodation we would like to stay at again.

    This was our second stay in the special scenic-view room with a jet bath.

    This was our second stay in the Scenic Special Room with Jet Bath (Ocean View) (Japanese-Western style). As on our previous visit, both the meals and the hospitality were outstanding. Thank you very much. One suggestion that could make it even better: - In the large public bath, one side has both a sauna and a cold plunge bath, while the other has only a sauna, with no cold plunge bath or relaxation area. For sauna guests, we would appreciate it if both sides could be equipped with a cold plunge bath and chairs for cooling down/relaxing. We will continue to stay here in the future. Thank you again.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and the cleaning was thorough. Everything was spotless, and we had a very comfortable stay. We made a Reservation for a Plan with breakfast and dinner, and since we were visiting for a birthday, you not only prepared a private dining room for us but also gave us a small gift. You even changed the menu for a family member who doesn’t like sashimi—thank you for your thoughtful attention to detail. We were truly moved by your warm hospitality. It really is a wonderful Accommodation, just as the Reviews said. We heard you are scheduled to reopen after renovations in August, and we would love to visit again. Personally, I also really like the retro atmosphere that still remains in some areas, so I feel a little sad about the renovation of the breakfast venue—but I’m looking forward to seeing what it becomes. Thank you very much. I have stayed at several Accommodations in Minamiboso over the past few years, and compared with them, here are a few points that I feel could make this place even better: - Regarding the abalone at dinner: if staff could remove it from the shell after it’s grilled, we would appreciate it even more. (Many other Accommodations often do this.) - If some thought were given to improving the trays at the breakfast buffet, I feel the dishes would look even more appetizing. - The appearance of the cleaning hose installed by the open-air bath in our Room stood out slightly. Storage or some kind of cover would improve the overall ambiance. - It would be nice if makeup remover were also provided at the washing area. - The vanity area is slightly dark and there is some distance to the mirror, so having a tabletop hand mirror would be very helpful. (This can be inconvenient when applying makeup; personally this is an important point.) - For Rooms with an open-air bath: if checkout could be 11:00 like Beachside Onsen Resort Yuumi’s, it would feel more relaxing and allow guests to take their time.

    Dinner was delicious.

    The Ryokan itself, including its Facilities, felt somewhat dated, but the Room was spacious and clean, which was nice. Dinner was very delicious. The buffet-style breakfast had a sufficient variety of dishes, but the overall quality felt fairly average. As for the Onsen, on the day of check-in the men’s bath was in the larger one until 19:00, and it was convenient to move between floors 9–10 without changing clothes. However, after the switch it became the smaller one, and even going to the open-air bath required changing clothes each time, which was inconvenient due to the layout. More importantly, after bathing in the Onsen I noticed a lingering smell on my body—especially my hands—similar to what you get after leaving a swimming pool, which was disappointing. In terms of price it was reasonable; I would give 4 stars for “value for money,” but if asked about overall satisfaction I would rate it 3 stars.

    Exceptional hospitality and outstanding cuisine.

    I booked this place as a year-end treat after working hard all year and wanting to stay somewhere nice. I always choose my trips with food as the top priority, and from the moment I arrived, all the staff were so considerate and welcoming that I immediately felt their warmth. The meals were just as the Reviews said—everything from the appetizers and sashimi to the meat was incredibly delicious. The portions were just right. By chance, we were blessed with pleasantly warm spring weather, and I had a wonderful time strolling along the nearby walking path. It’s also not too far from the station, so if you enjoy walking, I recommend coming on foot.

    I booked a Room with...

    I booked a Room with an open-air bath because I wanted to relax and spend time quietly in the Room. However, the Room had a very strong odor, like body odor (an underarm smell). I’m not sure whether it came from a previous guest or from someone involved in cleaning, but it was extremely unpleasant. Although it was still cold that day, I tried ventilating the Room and ran the air purifier at maximum, but the smell did not go away. Every time I returned to the Room, the heavy odor made me feel nauseous. With the Room smelling like that, I couldn’t help wondering whether other cleaning had also been insufficient, and I couldn’t relax at all—so I was disappointed that I couldn’t enjoy the restful trip I had hoped for. In hindsight, if another Room of the same grade had been available, perhaps I could have asked to Change the Reservation. It’s my fault for not bringing it up. The meals were delicious, but unfortunately everything was ruined by the Room experience, so I’m sorry to say this is a 1-star rating.

    Relax in an open-air bath with ocean views...

    The location is wonderful—the ocean is right in front of you, and the open-air bath while watching the sunset was amazing. The meals were all thoughtfully prepared and delicious, and it felt like high-quality ingredients were used. The breakfast buffet in particular featured a wide variety of local ingredients—so many choices it was hard to decide. The dried horse mackerel was five stars. This Accommodation’s Facility is a bit dated, but the staff are well-mannered, attentive, and create a warm atmosphere. I had a very comfortable stay and would love to visit again.

    The meals were the perfect portion for us, and for the first time in a while we finished everything. The Room was a wonderful Western-style room. However, since the building is quite old, some areas were hard to overlook (for example, parts of the interior walls visible from the elevator). It may be worth reconsidering the entrance route from the parking lot to the Hotel.

    Better than I expected!

    I made a Reservation for my boyfriend’s birthday trip. Since we stayed over the weekend and also booked the private open-air bath (2,200 yen), it wasn’t cheap. From the photos, I wondered, “Is this really the Room level for this price?” but in person, although it’s old, it’s spacious and very clean. The photos don’t show it, but there are two sinks in the wash area, and both the toilet and bath were spotless. The amenities were excellent as well, including skincare items like lotion. The bed was very comfortable, and the view was great. Above all, there were many staff members who guided us very politely. For dinner we had abalone, spiny lobster, and sirloin steak at the grill restaurant “Gokan.” For breakfast we chose the buffet as recommended. Both meals were delicious and very filling. Kamogawa Sea World is about 10–20 minutes away by car—the orca show is fantastic. Kamogawa felt far to get to, but it was absolutely worth it. The open-air bath was also great; you can see fishermen in the distance, but it didn’t seem like they could see us from their side! My boyfriend seemed really happy with everything, so I’m completely satisfied. Thank you very much.

    Fully satisfied with the Onsen offering stunning sunsets and panoramic ocean views.

    The ocean view from the Room was spectacular, and we could clearly see the beautiful sunset. The Onsen is on the 9th and 10th floors, and soaking in the hot water while enjoying a panoramic ocean view made us feel truly relaxed and refreshed. We had a Japanese dinner, and breakfast was a buffet. We were more than satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. The staff serving meals were mainly Asian international employees, but their Japanese is excellent and their service is very polite. The front desk staff and other service staff were also very courteous—nothing to complain about. The Hotel itself feels a bit old, but it has been renovated, so it hardly bothered us. Overall, it offers great value for money, and we plan to return regularly. (Photos of the sunset seen from the Hotel and nearby scenery are attached.)

    The sunset view from the large public bath was absolutely beautiful.

    Thank you for providing accessible parking—it was very helpful. Thank you also for the celebratory back scratcher as a birthday gift for my 93-year-old mother-in-law; she was delighted. Dinner was typical of a Ryokan. However, rice, miso soup, clam soup, soba, and udon were available at the buffet station with unlimited refills. The soba was outstanding—my husband had six bowls. I think it’s a great idea. We also enjoyed the six kinds of ice cream next to the buffet station. The breakfast buffet felt very well stocked. There were many options such as dried fish, tuna, and squid sashimi, and everything was delicious—we ate a lot. The large public bath was spacious and offered a full view of the sea—it was wonderful. I soaked and relaxed with my mother-in-law, and we felt pleasantly warmed through. Overall, I think it’s a very good Accommodation—the staff’s smiles and the view from our Room were especially memorable. It became a truly enjoyable trip.

    Your First Accommodation

    I have visited Kominato many times, but this was my first stay at Yoshiyume. All the staff were very kind, and I was very satisfied with everyone’s service. If I have the opportunity, I would like to visit again next time with my grandchildren.

    It was a very satisfying stay.

    This was my first stay. The Room, bath, and meals all exceeded my expectations, and I felt truly refreshed both physically and mentally.     The staff provided excellent service, making my stay very comfortable. Despite my sudden request, they prepared a birthday gift for my mother and even offered rice ball souvenirs for those checking out early in the morning. Their thoughtfulness was truly touching—thank you so much. The room was clean with a beautiful view of the sunset, and the meals were plentiful and delicious, leaving me completely satisfied. However, on the 10th floor open-air bath, there was no partition between the bath and changing area, which made it very cold when changing clothes; I hope this can be addressed in the future. I look forward to visiting again!

    The staff's hospitality is excellent.

    Selected as one of the "Top 100 Accommodations with Sunset Views," this stay was aimed at enjoying the New Year's Eve sunset. Although the building is old, both the room and large public bath were clean, and all staff members we interacted with—whether at the front desk, delivering in-room meals, or during the breakfast buffet—provided excellent service. This was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. Of course, we were also satisfied with the meals, and on New Year's Day, we were lucky to enjoy freshly made soft and delicious mochi during a mochi-pounding event.

    Heartfelt Hospitality

    We visited after seeing a magazine featuring professional picks for Onsen Ryokan to celebrate my husband's birthday. The Onsen with a stunning view of Tainoura was absolutely amazing.     Perfect for celebrating a 60th birthday!

    We used the Birthday Plan to celebrate a family member's 60th birthday. We were deeply moved by the heartwarming surprise gift and were amazed by the red celebratory outfit provided. Thanks to this, we captured wonderful family photos. The photos were also given as a service, making it an unforgettable 60th birthday. This was our second time staying at this accommodation, recommended by a local acquaintance from Boso, and it truly did not disappoint. The food is absolutely delicious and impressive—it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say we stayed here just for the cuisine. As part of the Birthday Plan, a cake was included; however, since we couldn't eat cake, we requested a fruit platter instead. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration. We chose a room with separate Japanese-style and bedroom areas since some family members go to bed early while others stay up late. This setup is essential when traveling as a couple with adult children. No matter how spacious the room is, if there are no partitions like sliding doors, it doesn't meet our requirements—so this room was invaluable for us. Additionally, both the room and public bath offered stunning sunset views. The indoor bath and open-air bath facing directly towards the sea are truly irreplaceable experiences. However, one issue was that the hallway in front of our room felt cold in December as it seemed like there was no heating there. We look forward to staying again in the future! Thank you very much!

    - Staff are efficiently assigned to the necessary places at the necessary times, ensuring a stress-free experience. For example, during arrival times, 3–4 staff members were stationed at the entrance, making it smooth to unload luggage and move the car to the parking lot. - The staff are well-trained; everyone greeted us when passing by, and their refined service and attentiveness during meals made our dining and stay pleasant and enjoyable. - The quality of meals was excellent, with local ingredients and desserts prepared with extra care, allowing us to savor every bite while having fun. - Both the bath and room were thoroughly cleaned, providing a comfortable environment. - For all these reasons, this has become an accommodation we would like to visit again.

    A Relaxing Getaway

    The room offered an ocean view with beautiful scenery, was spacious, clean, and even had a jacuzzi. Meals included GOKAN courses for both dinner and breakfast, featuring dishes made with carefully selected local ingredients that were delicious and exceptional. Breakfast had a wide variety of side dishes, and the freshly cooked rice was incredibly tasty; however, it would have been nice to have the option for a smaller portion of rice. Overall, it was a relaxing stay. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again.

    The staff were very kind and friendly.

    The staff were very kind and accommodating. The food was delicious for the price. However, the open-air baths were not connected from inside, and I couldn't figure out how to get to the one that wasn't connected. I wish there had been a screen on the window in the Room. Other than that, everything was great. Thank you for providing Shuttle Service even in the rain. I would love to visit again!

    "Five Senses" is amazing.

    Yoshiyume always offers exceptional hospitality, including the Sky Garden Bath, but this time we enjoyed a meal at the grill restaurant "Gokan." While dining at "Aun" is also delightful, the dishes at "Gokan" were truly impressive, featuring almost exclusively local ingredients such as fresh seafood and beef, all freshly prepared. We opted for a quality-over-quantity course, but the portions were more than sufficient and thoroughly satisfying. We look forward to visiting again.

    The most memorable p...

    The most memorable part was the incredibly delicious dinner. Every dish was carefully prepared, and each one was both beautiful and tasty. Having a private room for our family allowed us to enjoy a relaxing meal, which was highly appreciated! The breakfast buffet was, of course, also delicious! We had many interactions with staff members from overseas, all of whom were kind and spoke beautiful Japanese—truly admirable. Naturally, the other staff members were also wonderful with their warm smiles and friendly service wherever we met them. However, about the bath... While the Onsen itself was excellent, it felt like it might be visible to fishermen nearby, which made it hard to fully relax. Since we visited specifically to enjoy a leisurely soak in the Onsen, this aspect was a bit disappointing. Additionally, as a tourist destination, there seems to be little else besides Kamogawa Sea World for entertainment. I hope the local government can work together to further develop the area! It’s such a wonderful accommodation that I hope it continues for many years. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
