    A Scenic Hotel That Turns an Aging Society into a Strength

    I stayed on the 4th floor. Even from the 4th floor, I could enjoy beautiful views of the islands and sea of the Seto Inland Sea, which lifted my spirits. However, an older Hotel roof slightly blocked the view, so I think a higher floor would be even better. Dinner was at the Western restaurant on the 9th floor. Up through the appetizer and soup, it felt French-inspired—beautifully presented and delicious. The fish dish had a Chinese-style touch and was also very tasty. The meat dish was a Japanese-Western fusion style. The bread and butter were excellent as well. It seemed there was no pastry chef, so the dessert was disappointing in both quality and presentation. I was quite surprised that the cream was warm whipped cream. I would have preferred something like two small items (a small cake or jelly), a little fruit, and ice cream. Many of the service staff appeared to be in their 70s, and they served us in a friendly manner. It felt wonderful to see older staff working so energetically. The restaurant had an outstanding location and a relaxed atmosphere.

    We stayed at this Hotel for one night during Obon so that my mother and daughter could relax together. Prices are understandably high everywhere during Obon, but we decided to treat ourselves and booked a stay with dinner included. The Room was a standard Western-style Room. The bathroom and toilet in the Room are quite dark; with the shower curtain closed, it becomes even darker, so it may feel difficult to use the bath. It didn’t bother us because there is a large public bath, but those planning to use the in-room bath should be aware. From the open-air bath in the large public bath, you can see the Seto Ohashi Bridge. By chance, we could also see fireworks going off in Kagawa. There weren’t many people, so it was very comfortable. For dinner we chose Western cuisine; the portions were just right and everything was delicious. It was wonderful to be able to see the Seto Ohashi Bridge while dining, and by coincidence it was illuminated and looked beautiful. The staff were kind enough to take photos for us, which made a great memory. Washuzan Highland is next door, and it seemed to be open until 11:00 p.m. that day, so we could hear announcements late into the night and it felt lively. It looked fun, and I’d like to visit next time. The Hotel is a bit old, and when we arrived I felt uneasy because of how dimly lit it seemed, but by the time we left our whole family was happy we came. It was our first time visiting Kojima, and I’m glad we stayed at this Hotel.

    The view was great.

    Honestly, it was a bit disappointing. The Room had a great view and was spacious and comfortable. However, it was a long walk from the elevator to the Room, the shop had mostly jeans and the souvenir selection was underwhelming, breakfast had limited variety, and the large public bath area felt cramped with too few washing stations. It was also disappointing that there wasn’t a place to relax after bathing, and the water provided was lukewarm and didn’t taste good. Considering the higher price, I was somewhat let down.

    Wonderful Hotel

    All the staff worked with such a cheerful attitude that I had a very positive impression. The Hotel also has a large public bath with a view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge right in front of you, which I really enjoyed. In particular, the well-postured staff at the 9th-floor restaurant provided excellent service, giving guidance on local sightseeing spots and clear explanations of delicious local ingredients, making the meal both enjoyable and truly worthwhile. I even thought it might be worth staying at this Hotel again just to see the staff. The downside was that the Room walls were very thin—when sitting on the sofa, I could clearly hear what people in the next Room were talking about. Thinking it couldn’t be true, I tried again several times at different times, but I was surprised to find I could even make out what they were saying.

    The restaurant staff were very kind.

    The staff at the Japanese restaurant and the breakfast venue were very kind and welcoming. I was traveling with an elderly person, and I truly appreciated how they pulled out chairs for us and spoke gently. This was my second stay, and I have used the restaurant several times. I would definitely like to stay again.

    A Hotel where you can relax while enjoying views of the Seto Ohashi Bridge

    The view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge from the Room, restaurant, and bath was wonderful and very relaxing. For dinner we chose Japanese cuisine; there was a wide variety of sashimi and many different dishes, and we were very satisfied. We were completely full. It was too hot this time, so we felt it would be even more enjoyable in a cooler or colder season.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    We stayed with a one-night stay including breakfast and dinner. This Hotel offers breathtaking ocean views from every room. Above all, the Japanese dinner was outstanding—delicious, beautifully presented, and very satisfying in portion size. We would like to stay every year just for this meal. The only downside was that the bath facilities felt a bit dated, but everything was well cleaned, and we enjoyed the open-air bath as well.

    The view should be amazing.

    I stayed at this Hotel because I wanted to see the Seto Ohashi Bridge view, but unfortunately it was raining and I couldn’t see anything when I arrived, which was disappointing. However, the wind moved the clouds, and little by little the bridge came into view during dinner, so I was able to enjoy the illuminations. I was told the lights turn off at 10:00 PM. When I woke up in the middle of the night and looked again, I could even see as far as Shikoku in the distance—it was amazing. The sunrise isn’t on the side my Room faces, but later I realized there are windows in the hallway and regretted not going there to watch it. Since I went to bed early, I thought I would be first at the large public bath at 6:00 AM, but I was actually third. The bath felt smaller than it looks in photos, and because rain was falling into the open-air bath, I couldn’t use it. I’d like to come back on a clear day to try again and see the sunset. The organic eggs at breakfast were delicious—I ended up having three. All of the staff were kind and helpful.

    Savor an authentic kaiseki meal from a prime seat overlooking the Seto Inland Sea.

    We stayed here to take our children octopus fishing in Shimotsui (Shichifukumaru). This Hotel with a stunning view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge delighted us not only with the scenery, but also with the warm hospitality of the staff and the food and drinks prepared by an exceptionally skilled Japanese head chef. The Hotel itself is not new, but the guest rooms have been renovated, and we were able to stay comfortably. In particular, the Japanese restaurant “Kibi” far exceeded our expectations in variety, portion size, and taste. We were truly impressed by the assortment of incredibly fresh sashimi from the Setouchi area and the chilled abalone with summer vegetables. The chef’s skill is outstanding, and we are very grateful. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Great view

    I stayed in a 6th-floor room, and the view was excellent. The restaurant meals were delicious, and I could really taste how fresh the ingredients were. The raw egg was especially good.

    You can enjoy great ...

    You can enjoy great views of the Seto Inland Sea and the Seto Ohashi Bridge from anywhere. The breathtaking view from the lobby upon arrival made me gasp out loud. It was a shame that the large public bath was a bit small.

    The view from the Room was wonderful.

    The view from the ocean-view Room on the 7th floor was wonderful. I stayed alone. The twin Room was spacious enough. The Shuttle Service from Kojima Station was also very helpful. It was also convenient that the loungewear was a two-piece pajama set.

    Everyone at the Hote...

    Everyone at the Hotel was very kind, and everything went smoothly, including restaurant reservations and Shuttle Service reservations to the station. The food was excellent, and we appreciated that the Japanese restaurant also offers à la carte options. Thank you very much.

    It was a Room with a great view from the hilltop! We were amazed by the Seto Ohashi Bridge!

    After moving from Kitakyushu to Kobe five years ago, when I still didn’t know much about the area, I once stayed at a Hotel in Kojima, Okayama Prefecture. At that time, when I knew nothing about the Kansai or Chugoku regions, there was a large Hotel on the hill above where I stayed. After taking a photo with my phone, I found out it was the “Setouchi Kojima Hotel.” It’s on high ground, and it was a Hotel I had always wanted to stay at someday—so this time I decided to book it. All Rooms have an ocean view—the Seto Ohashi Bridge is amazing! It was cloudy that day so we couldn’t see the sunset, but we were able to enjoy the beautiful Seto Inland Sea and also see the “Seto Ohashi Bridge.” The next day, I finally crossed the “Seto Ohashi Bridge,” which I had always wanted to do. Taking the train from Kojima to Sakaide was truly moving—I think everyone should experience it at least once. And you can cross the bridge with regular train fare (as long as you’re not on a limited express)—so affordable and impressive! The Seto Ohashi Bridge used to be known as one of the longest bridges in the world until an even longer bridge was built in Turkey. Crossing it for the first time really made me realize how incredible it is. After crossing from Kojima to Sakaide (15 minutes), we returned toward Okayama and then back to Kobe. The trains were packed—not only with people from Shikoku but also with travelers heading from Okayama Station toward Takamatsu and Matsuyama. This trip truly made me feel that the Seto Ohashi Bridge is Shikoku’s main lifeline.

    It was very relaxing.

    We planned a trip to Okayama for our wedding anniversary and chose this Hotel because we wanted to stay somewhere with a view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge and the Reviews were excellent. The Room was spotless, and the view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge and the sea from our Room was amazing. We enjoyed a traditional Japanese kaiseki dinner. Everything was delicious, especially the fresh sashimi! There was a great variety, and we were very satisfied. You can also see the sea from the open-air bath, so the morning bath had a wonderful view, and at night we were happy to be able to see the starry sky as well. It’s a Hotel we would love to stay at again. Thank you very much!

    It was a Hotel with a wonderful view.

    All Rooms offer an ocean view, with a wonderful panorama overlooking the Seto Ohashi Bridge. We had breakfast and it was very delicious—Spanish mackerel was especially tasty, and we were happy to be able to enjoy morning curry and ice cream as well. The location is also excellent, close to the Seto Ohashi Bridge and Kojima Jeans Street.

    I stayed here for one night as a nearby getaway. The Room had an ocean view, and I could clearly see the Seto Ohashi Bridge and the beautiful sunset. All of the meals were delicious, but I was especially satisfied with dinner—the sashimi was very fresh and there was a great variety. For breakfast, it wasn’t entirely buffet-style; the main items were served on a one-plate set, with small portions of many different dishes—more than enough. The staff’s service was very polite, and I had a comfortable stay. I only wished the souvenir corner had been a bit more well stocked.

    Gourmet Hotel

    I chose this hotel because of the many reviews praising the delicious food. I had a traditional Japanese kaiseki meal, and it was truly as delicious as the reviews said. It exceeded my expectations and was so incredibly tasty that it made for a blissful moment. Not only was the flavor exceptional, but even the tableware was beautiful, showing great attention to detail in each dish. The presentation allowed me to enjoy with my eyes as well, and everything tasted amazing—completely satisfying. Even the small garnishes accompanying the sashimi were delightful and left me deeply impressed. The drinks were also served with care, both visually appealing and very tasty. The limited-time plum sour was exceptionally good and something I couldn’t find elsewhere—it amazed me both in appearance and taste! The lemon sour was equally delicious. It’s rare to encounter such perfect cuisine in every aspect; my entire family absolutely loved it. While we’ve stayed at famous luxury accommodations before, I must say that this hotel's cuisine surpasses them all. Before check-in, we enjoyed dessert at the lounge, which also showcased unique attention to detail not found elsewhere. The adult coffee jelly was especially delightful. I imagine their French dinner would be just as wonderful—I’d love to try it next time! This is truly a gourmet-focused hotel. With views of Seto Ohashi Bridge adding to its charm, the scenery here is breathtaking too. I will definitely return just for this incredible dining experience again! Thank you for making our New Year’s holiday so happy and memorable!

    Great view

    6th Floor Twin Room with a great view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge. Although it happened to be a windy day and the open-air bath was extremely cold, it was still enjoyable.

    The view was amazing!

    The view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge from both the Room and the bath was breathtaking. The islands of the Seto Inland Sea were stunning during both sunrise and sunset. The Hotel staff provided excellent service, the Room was well-maintained, and the amenities and room wear were great. The souvenir shop offered local products, including Kojima denim, which was enjoyable to browse. Although we initially planned to stay in Kagawa Prefecture, being so close to the Seto Ohashi Bridge made staying in Okayama Prefecture a wonderful choice.

    Delicious meals provided

    The Hotel itself feels a bit old, but the Room has been renovated and is very clean. However, it was disappointing that the water facilities remain outdated. The view from the Room is simply stunning. I had Japanese cuisine for meals, and every dish was carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. With a checkout time of 11:00 AM, I could relax and take my time, which was great. It's a Hotel I would love to visit again casually.

    Exquisite Japanese Cuisine

    The Japanese cuisine we had for dinner was absolutely delicious. The fresh local sashimi, miso-grilled meat, crab and shrimp soup dishes were all exquisite and refined in flavor.     It was a Hotel with the best hospitality!

    Thanks to checking in early, I was able to enjoy a beautiful sunset even though I couldn't get my preferred dinner time. Although the meal wasn't by the window, both the food and atmosphere were more than satisfying. The panoramic bath was also very comfortable!

    The front desk and r...

    The front desk and restaurant staff were very pleasant and provided excellent service, making my stay satisfying. The Hotel's location was also fantastic, allowing me to relax comfortably. Thank you very much. However, I used the Shuttle Service, and unfortunately, the driver seemed unfriendly with no smile or words exchanged. Both at the 9 AM departure and upon arrival, there was complete silence. A simple word or greeting would have made a big difference. This was disappointing.

    Simply amazing

    This is our third stay at this hotel, recommended by my son in his 20s who says it's the best. Despite September often being a concern for weather, this year was fine. Previously, we even extended our stay due to a typhoon. The view of the Seto Ohashi Bridge from the outdoor onsen is breathtaking and can be enjoyed multiple times in the morning and evening. The meals are truly delicious, featuring local sashimi and seasonal dishes with a gentle and refined taste. The presentation of the food is impeccable as well. While we used to enjoy non-buffet breakfasts until two years ago, this year's buffet breakfast on the top floor was also delightful. The warm greetings and excellent service from the staff were outstanding. We stay here to cross the Seto Ohashi Bridge from Takamatsu Airport, but it surpasses even Kagawa's famous onsens by far. We'll definitely return! The sake was also excellent!
