    We recommend choosing a Room with a lake view.

    I was looking forward to the Room I had reserved in advance, expecting to fully enjoy a lake view of Lake Biwa, but I was disappointed because the Room only overlooked the yacht harbor and the neighboring Hotel. The Italian course dinner was very delicious, and in particular, the sauces for each dish were outstanding. The meat dish I changed to (with an additional charge) was also tender and very tasty. The breakfast buffet also offered a wide variety of items and was delicious. Next time, I would like to visit again and request a Room on the lake-view side.

    This is my regular A...

    This is my regular Accommodation when traveling in Kita-Omi. This time, for the first time, I took the Chikubu Island cruise that departs from in front of the Hotel the morning after my stay. I have no complaints about the Hotel stay itself, but I do have one request. Most guests likely go out to downtown Nagahama in the evening. There used to be a Shuttle Service by minibus, but it was no longer available this time. I would really like to see it reinstated.

    The meals were delicious.

    The Room feels a bit dated, but it is thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. Dinner was Italian and breakfast was a buffet; both were delicious. In particular, the Omi beef carpaccio was excellent, and I think the pasta is handmade with great care. Considering the quality of the meals, the price was reasonable, and the staff were very helpful. I did not use the large public bath, so I cannot comment on it. If you plan to visit Chikubu Island, this Hotel is highly recommended as it is right in front of the sightseeing boat pier.

    It is a very elegant Hotel.

    I have stayed here several times, and it always feels elegant. The staff are consistently courteous, which makes me feel at ease. The Facility is a bit old, but it is clean and well maintained, with tasteful furnishings, so it doesn’t bother me. The breakfast and other meals were delicious and very relaxing.

    Convenient for sightseeing in Nagahama

    This stay was for sightseeing in Nagahama. It’s close to the station, so we took a leisurely walk to check in. Although the Facility is older, it is well maintained and clean, so there were no issues. The meals were also very delicious. We were able to enjoy the Onsen at our own pace as it felt like we had it all to ourselves. Even though this was a last-minute Reservation, it turned out to be a wonderful trip.

    Great Views and the Comfort of a Mid-Sized Hotel

    Facing Nagahama Port, the views of Lake Biwa are outstanding. There is a large foreign-owned Hotel next door, but we chose this property because we didn’t expect the same level of attentive service there. The Room was spacious and separated into two areas—a bedroom and a living room—so we could relax comfortably. We only used the breakfast option, but on a Multiple Night Stay the menu is exactly the same every day, so it gets repetitive. I think it would be better to offer more variety. Because of the spectacular location, it’s far from the city center. If requested, they provide a Shuttle Service by minivan to Nagahama Station, but only in the afternoon, so it isn’t available in the morning or at night. We took a taxi at night; to make up for this location drawback, an expanded Shuttle Service would be appreciated. All staff members greeted us with smiles and were pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, considering the price, I think it offers excellent value for money.

    We stayed for one ni...

    We stayed for one night and two days in May, when the fresh greenery was beautiful. All the staff—at the front desk, in the restaurant, and housekeeping—were very pleasant, and we had a comfortable stay. The Room was spacious, and the view from the window was outstanding. The Italian course meal was also delicious. After check-out, we enjoyed a trip to Chikubu Island from Nagahama Port right in front of the Accommodation. We plan to visit Shiga again and would definitely like to stay here again.

    It was very good.

    Tired of the crowds at a certain all-inclusive Hotel, we stayed here for one night during Golden Week, looking for a place where we could relax and enjoy good food—and choosing this Hotel was absolutely the right decision. First, it never felt overcrowded, so the Hotel was spacious and relaxing. The Room wallpaper and carpet were clean and well maintained, the front desk staff were polished and professional, and the lobby had tasteful furnishings that gave it an elegant atmosphere. Dinner is served at a dedicated restaurant and was truly delicious. Breakfast was a buffet in a large hall, but there were no long lines; we could take our time, and everything was very tasty. We could also see Lake Biwa from our Room. The Accommodation cost wasn’t outrageously high either—it was comfortable, easy to use, and we were very satisfied overall. Also, with the Biwako Kisen port right in front of the Hotel, it was very convenient to pick up a numbered ticket for the first cruise of the morning right after breakfast. Thank you very much.

    This description was not up to IKYU’s usual standards. It was the worst I have ever experienced. The breakfast was worse than at a Business Hotel, and I never want to stay there again.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Since we stayed on a Sunday night just before Golden Week, we were able to relax and enjoy our time in the Hotel. Our check-in was later than planned and our reserved dinner time was approaching, so we were worried, but the front desk kindly suggested changing the Reservation time, which we truly appreciated. The dinner we had been looking forward to was delicious, just as the Reviews said. The wine was also reasonably priced, which made the meal even more satisfying. Breakfast offered a good selection as well. If we have another chance to visit this area, we would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    A Hotel where you can enjoy a comfortable stay!

    Thank you very much for everything. Everyone at this Hotel was kind, calm, and considerate, and we had a truly comfortable stay. The large public bath was not too hot—just the right temperature—and since the jacuzzi was available that day, my son was delighted. (The baths are separated for men and women.) Both the Hotel and our Room were very clean. However, there was no air purifier, facial toner, or lotion, and the sleepwear was too thin, so I deducted one star. That said, the staff’s service was outstanding overall—easily deserving more than five stars! We also enjoyed breakfast. Still, I think younger guests would appreciate having two or three more options besides fish and other Japanese dishes. The cold milk was especially delicious, and it was nice to have a full selection of drinks such as orange juice and apple juice. They arranged a taxi quickly when we needed one, made a Reservation for the cruiser to Chikubu Island for us, and helped with shipping our luggage home as well. This is a Hotel I can highly recommend. I hope we can visit again as a family.

    The meals were delicious.

    As our arrival time at the Accommodation was uncertain, we made a last-minute Reservation at a Japanese restaurant for dinner and enjoyed a delicious meal. Breakfast the next morning was a buffet, and every dish was excellent; you could really feel the chef’s craftsmanship, with high-quality ingredients on offer—we were very satisfied.

    All the staff were friendly and welcoming with great smiles. The Hotel itself is old, but it is spacious and didn’t feel cramped. We chose Italian cuisine for our meals; both the quality and portion sizes were decent.

    We fully enjoyed Nagahama in spring.

    Thanks to the warm hospitality of the Hotel staff, we were able to fully enjoy Nagahama in spring. We truly enjoyed the delicious dinner, and were very satisfied with the presentation of the roasted duck. Even after checking out the next day, we were allowed to use the parking lot, which let us have a great time at Kurokabe Square.

    It was very relaxing.

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay to recover from extreme caregiver fatigue, and I was truly refreshed and re-energized by everyone’s warm smiles and thoughtful hospitality, the Hotel’s clean and lovely atmosphere, and above all, the wonderful views. Thanks to the later time of year, I was able to see a breathtaking sunrise over Lake Biwa from my Room window—it was deeply moving. The sunset I saw during my walk was beautiful as well. All of the meals were delicious, and as a bread lover, I especially enjoyed the bite-sized aonori fried bread served at lunch and dinner. Since this is a Verona-themed Hotel, it might have been nice to have some more Italian-style bread at breakfast (ciabatta or focaccia, perhaps?). I had saba somen at breakfast; I was told it is a local specialty of Nagahama. It was so good that I bought some as souvenirs for my family at a shop near the station. Thank you very much. The large public bath was spacious and relaxing, and I also enjoyed soaking in the open-air jacuzzi while gazing at the night sky. However, when moving from the indoor bath to the jacuzzi it felt a bit lukewarm, and I felt cold when getting out—so it may be better to use the jacuzzi first and then warm up in the indoor bath afterward. I walked to and from Nagahama Station; if the weather is clear, it doesn’t feel too far. I would love to visit again for another relaxing stay—next time with friends. Thank you very much.

    We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

    As we did last year, we stayed here again this year on our way back from the Bonbai Exhibition illumination. We enjoyed the large bath and jacuzzi, the comfortable Room with cute wallpaper, and the delicious Italian dinner. For breakfast, both the curry and the local specialty mackerel somen were excellent. We would love to stay again if we have the chance—thank you very much.

    We stayed here with two families during the New Year.

    We stayed at the accommodation with my daughter and her family during the New Year. The meals were absolutely stunning. For dinner, we enjoyed a Japanese course meal, with each dish carefully prepared. We savored delights such as Omi sake tasting, Omi beef, and mackerel somen noodles—all incredibly delicious. Since my daughter is pregnant, we had requested in advance to avoid raw foods, which was kindly accommodated, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time together. The breakfast buffet featured individual "mini osechi" dishes and ozoni soup, giving us a festive New Year's feeling. In the evening, the restaurant transformed into a bar where our family enjoyed cocktails together. Thank you very much!

    Used by a couple during the New Year

    This was our second stay, following our visit two years ago. As before, we stayed in a suite room with breakfast and dinner included. The facility was clean, and the room was very spacious with a calm atmosphere. The amenities and complimentary drinks in the refrigerator were well-stocked. The meals were excellent; last time we enjoyed Italian cuisine, but this time it was Japanese, featuring many unique dishes made with ingredients from Shiga Prefecture, which left us highly satisfied. Although the public bath had limited washing areas and there was a short wait at times, considering that this is not a large onsen accommodation focused on public baths, it still offered great features such as an open-air jacuzzi and sauna. Above all else, the staff were always smiling and kind, making our stay very pleasant. Overall, we felt that the value for money was excellent. We would love to stay here again when cruising Lake Biwa to Chikubu Island!

    The meals were excellent.

    I stayed alone over the weekend at the end of the year to relax from work fatigue. The public bath is compact with four washing stations, but it also has a jacuzzi and sauna, making it enjoyable and warming. Dinner was Japanese cuisine at Chikubushima, and breakfast was at the first-floor restaurant; both were extremely delicious. The funazushi in the dinner course was so tasty that I wanted to buy some as a souvenir, but when I looked for it in stores, it was quite expensive. I'm glad I could enjoy it as part of the course meal. The Omi sake tasting set, Omi beef, and fish dishes were all incredibly delicious—I definitely want to come back again. The bed in my room was very comfortable, and I could see Lake Biwa while relaxing leisurely. It turned out to be a highly satisfying stay with great value for money. Thank you very much!

    The property has a slightly dated feel but is well-maintained and provides a very comfortable stay. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. Breakfast options seem slightly fewer compared to before, but it was still delicious.

    Perfect for a girls' trip

    A cute Hotel, perfect for a girls' trip. The rooms were a bit old but well-cleaned, which was satisfying. The service at the front desk was also satisfactory. However, the public bath hours were limited—until 23:00 at night and from 6:00 to 9:00 in the morning—which felt early for us. Since we focused on visiting illuminations, it felt rushed, and unfortunately, we couldn't use the bath in the morning due to time constraints. Overall, it was a satisfying Hotel experience. For those visiting Kurokabe Square or Chikubu Island, this is a very convenient Hotel. If given another chance, I would love to stay here again!

    Excellent hospitality

    I had a reasonably priced stay through the travel site. The staff were very kind and left a good impression. Although I didn’t have dinner, the breakfast buffet was delicious and seemed to use high-quality ingredients. The curry was excellent! The location was convenient, and the open-air jacuzzi at the hotel was very relaxing.

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay with breakfast included. For the first night's dinner, I had separately reserved the Chikubu Island Kaiseki meal, and I was slightly surprised when the front desk confirmed this reservation during check-in, showing great coordination between the front desk and restaurant. On the second night, I considered dining at the Hotel again but found the steak dinner too heavy. When I inquired about lighter options, they informed me of an à la carte menu. Upon checking it, I discovered my favorite Gorgonzola pasta and paired it with garlic toast—it was indescribably delicious! The seating arrangements during breakfast were smooth, and there was no typical buffet-style crowding; everything felt calm and enjoyable. I would love to stay here again next time!

    Chikubu Island Cruise and Italian Cuisine

    I arrived earlier than the check-in time, but I was welcomed with an iced coffee and my Room was prepared early. It was a surprisingly warm day for the autumn foliage season, which was refreshing for my slightly sweaty body. All the staff were genuinely cheerful, making it a pleasant experience. Dinner and wine were delicious, and I had a relaxing time—thank you very much. The cruise ship terminal for Chikubu Island was right in front of us, and we could also enjoy the autumn leaves in the nearby park. If I may be indulgent, I wish there had been a better view from the window, but overall, I am very satisfied! Thank you to all the staff!

    Relax and unwind!

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay during my vacation. The view was great, and I was very satisfied with the Japanese cuisine (Chikubushima). It was also convenient for exploring Chikubushima and Nagahama town from the nearby Nagahama Port. The pasta lunch in the afternoon was also delicious.

    Adult Getaway

    This was my second stay. Last time was a solo trip, and this time I invited a friend to stay before our Chikubu Island cruise. The hotel has a calm and mature atmosphere, and all the staff maintained a comfortable distance while providing thoughtful care. Thanks to them, I had another relaxing and peaceful stay. I had already made my own reservation for the cruise ship in advance, but the front desk kindly changed it to a discounted voucher for guests. Next time, I'll make sure to request this when completing the hotel reservation. After returning from Chikubu Island, we also enjoyed lunch at the hotel's Italian restaurant. The carefully prepared dishes were delicious, and despite the excellent service, it was very reasonably priced—highly satisfying and highly recommended! This is an accommodation I’d love to visit again on a leisurely holiday!

    A wonderful Hotel!

    This is a stylishly designed hotel. Not only the exterior but also the warm and kind hospitality made my stay very satisfying. The comfort I experienced when I stayed here about two years ago left a lasting impression, so I chose to stay here again this time. Coincidentally, it was the day of the Nagahama Fireworks Festival, and I was very lucky to be able to watch fireworks launched from Lake Biwa right from my room! I am deeply grateful for the exceptional care provided by all the hotel staff.
