    All-inclusive packages are delightful.

    The hot spring in Manza is absolutely amazing. Enjoying the Onsen surrounded by snowy scenery was incredibly relaxing. The room had a massage chair, allowing me to unwind at my own pace. The Nishikawa Air mattress provided excellent comfort for sleeping. The buffet meals and all-you-can-drink alcohol were delightful, making it easy to enjoy personal time. I also appreciated the designated 10-minute morning photography time for the large public bath. However, during this winter season, the operation of local buses is limited, and the 8:40 AM departure from the hotel was inconvenient for returning guests. I would suggest resuming shuttle service from Karuizawa Station even if it comes with an additional fee.

    The facility is old but very good.

    All-inclusive is fantastic. Unlimited beer and wine, with several types of wine to choose from, which was great. The food was decent, but considering the price, it was very good overall. If you're looking to relax casually in an Onsen, this place is highly recommended. The staff's hospitality was excellent as well. What impressed me the most was when I was waiting at the bus terminal on my way back—probably the manager—approached me and kindly asked which accommodation I stayed at. Thoughtful gestures like this truly make a difference and leave a lasting impression. It's these small acts of care that turn into memorable experiences. I definitely want to come back again!

    I had a relaxing sta...

    I had a relaxing stay again this time. The Nishikawa air mattress provides such a good night's sleep. I hope they can place it in the Japanese-style rooms as well. I usually stay for two nights and spend my time leisurely without stepping out of the facility. Every visit, there seems to be some renovation happening, like repairs to the open-air bath or new equipment being added—this time, I noticed a machine next to the massage chair and wondered if people alternate between them. During quiet hours, I enjoyed playing darts (something I don't usually do elsewhere) and worked up a little sweat. Of course, I soaked in my favorite onsen multiple times and even stargazed from the open-air bath at midnight for some peaceful moments. Although I'm used to living just one minute away from a convenience store back home, here there's nothing like that nearby (the closest convenience store is over 30 minutes away by car). Yet, thanks to the variety of activities and amenities within the facility, it never feels inconvenient. I've already made another reservation for next month!

    The starry sky was breathtaking.

    The night sky in Manza is filled with stars. The view of the starry sky from the Onsen open-air bath was magnificent. The food was also delicious—I might have eaten a bit too much! The Room was comfortable, and although it was quite cold outside, the Room was warm and cozy. I had a wonderful holiday. Thank you very much!

    Trip for 3 Friends

    We stayed as a group of three friends from our school days. The hot water and buffet were great, and we were very satisfied. We’d like to make this an annual trip, but we hope for more comprehensive amenities in the future.

    Great value and highly satisfying

    This was my first time staying here. Onsen, cuisine, and price were all perfect. My wife said if we come to Manza again, we will definitely choose Juraku. We look forward to visiting again!

    Seeking Relaxation

    The quality of the Onsen suits me perfectly. It's a genuine sulfur spring with strong natural antibacterial properties, and even minor wounds improved during my 2-night stay. The building is old, but there are always some repairs being made, which makes it fun to spot them each time. The meals are full of a homemade feel, and since the rice is milled in-house, I can take home rice bran to use for my own pickling bed. The manager and staff are warm and welcoming, making it easy to relax. I also became a fan of one of the professionals I met at an in-house event—another source of comfort. This place feels like a reward for working hard every day—it gives me the energy to keep going!

    Onsen is the best!

    We are a couple who love sulfur Onsen. The Onsen is amazing. The meals were even more delicious than last year. We will visit again. Manza NO!

    It was amazing!

    Thank you very much. It was an experience beyond my expectations. For those who enjoy drinking, this place is a paradise. The free service for alcohol and drinks offers a wide variety and is all-you-can-drink. The Facility includes massage chairs, table tennis tables, and more, providing plenty of entertainment options. Local specialties such as Kyodo no Mori Hanamame beans and sake from Akagi Mountain or Tanigawa showcase the charm of Gunma through local production for local consumption. Although the Facility may be slightly dated, its simplicity compared to modern systems allowed me to relax without unnecessary stress—a wonderful realization of true comfort. The Room was warm even without using heating, and I was touched by the thoughtful hospitality seen everywhere—such as half-coats, bath bags, sticky notes on slippers, rubber bands for holding sleeves during meals—all these small details made a big impression on me. However, one point: at the parking area used for Shuttle Service or luggage loading/unloading purposes, it would have been helpful if there were standing signs indicating this to avoid needing to move vehicles again later.

    Hatsumanza

    We visit Onsen destinations twice a month as a couple. This was our first time at Manza Onsen, a place we had wanted to visit for a long time, and we are glad we chose Juraku. The Onsen has excellent water quality, and the lack of artificial structures allows for great views. While the meal options were fewer compared to other Juraku accommodations and there was no live kitchen, we were still satisfied. Unlike nearby Kusatsu, there is no Onsen town to stroll around, but the facility offers plenty of activities like air hockey and darts that we enjoyed together as a couple. The rattan workshop with an artisan also became a wonderful memory of our trip. Although Manza Onsen is quite far from our home, it’s an accommodation we would love to visit again.

    Traveling with an Elderly Mother

    This is my second stay at Manza Juraku. The weather was rainy and foggy. The autumn leaves seemed beautiful, but unfortunately, both times the view from the open-air bath was limited due to the fog. The Onsen is excellent. Meals are buffet-style with a wide variety of dishes, all delicious. For those who enjoy alcohol, the inclusive plan offers unlimited drinks with many options, making it highly appealing for repeat visits. Even though I stayed over the weekend, there was enough space between dining tables to relax comfortably. I look forward to staying again on a clear day. This will be my go-to accommodation!

    The hot spring water...

    The hot spring water was incredibly pleasant. I enjoyed trying out different baths, each offering a unique experience. I stayed in a Japanese-style room on the second floor, and thanks to the sliding door between the entrance and living area, it was quiet with no noise from the hallway. The staff were kind and attentive, especially the restaurant staff who provided exceptional service. It was a wonderful accommodation.

    Enjoy Milky White Hot Springs

    The purpose this time was as stated in the title: milky white hot springs and the "Karakubuki" geyser. Soaking in the milky white open-air bath while gazing at the Karakubuki was simply the best. The Room was also excellent. I will visit again!

    The bath is wonderful, though it felt slightly less impressive compared to my visit two years ago. However, as it's a natural hot spring, this is understandable. The all-inclusive experience here is always remarkable, covering drinks and entertainment alike. Above all, the thoughtful details throughout the facility truly reflect their dedication to hospitality. The meals were enjoyable with great flavors and lacked the typical chaos often associated with buffet-style dining. Unfortunately, the weather has always been unfavorable during my visits. Hopefully next time, I can enjoy this place on a sunny day!

    Satisfied with the Onsen and meals, but the Facility might be nearing its limit.

    The Facility shows signs of aging, particularly in the plumbing and toilets, which appear quite worn and may be approaching their limits. This might be a concern for those who prioritize cleanliness. On the other hand, the Onsen and meals were excellent, offering value beyond the price paid. The all-inclusive service was especially appealing, with a wide variety of alcoholic beverages available. Although I did not drink alcohol myself, it would likely feel very worthwhile for those who enjoy it.

    The Onsen's water quality and meals are highly satisfying.

    The quality of the Onsen was excellent and very satisfying. The meals and all-inclusive drinks met our expectations. However, the air hockey table was outdated, and the airflow was poor, making it less enjoyable. Additionally, it was a bit hot, so having air conditioning would have been even better.

    It was a good Hotel!

    I visited Manza many times for skiing in my younger days and stayed at Prince Hotel and Manza Onsen Hotel several times, but this was my first time staying at Juraku, so I was a bit worried about how it would be. However, it turned out to be a great trip. The room I chose was the cheapest one, but as an IKYU Platinum member, they upgraded me to a slightly larger room. The size of the room was very satisfying; however, it was quite old and somewhat disappointing that cars came right in front of the window, making it hard to relax (though it's sufficient as a ski accommodation). The Onsen facilities were clean and spacious with excellent hot spring water—very satisfying! However, despite having such a large bath area, there were only three hair dryers available which caused long waits—that part was disappointing. Recently I've been enjoying all-inclusive stays at various places, and here too the food featured domestic meat and everything tasted delicious—there wasn’t anything that didn’t taste good! Next time I plan to upgrade my room grade when visiting again; I'm sure I'll give five stars then. Thank you for your hospitality!

    The best Onsen!

    The breathtaking milky white sulfur Onsen at an altitude of 1800m was simply outstanding. The all-inclusive drinks offered a decent variety of brands, and while the buffet had slightly fewer options, it featured plenty of local ingredients and was deliciously satisfying. The room was a scenic twin on the third floor; though the facility showed some age, it was impeccably clean and comfortable (the TV might be a bit small). The accommodation also provided excellent indoor activities such as an observation terrace, massage chairs, darts, table tennis, and even a free barista experience that looked enjoyable. What stood out most were the warm greetings from every staff member we encountered in the facility. It was an incredibly pleasant stay where we fully enjoyed an exceptional Onsen experience.

    The Perfect Summer Retreat

    I stayed in early September, and it was cool enough to need a light jacket in the mornings and evenings. The meals were delicious, and the onsen was excellent, so I would like to visit again next year to enjoy the cool atmosphere.

    Onsen and meals are excellent.

    Visited from a villa in North Karuizawa for a change of pace. As expected, the quality of the Onsen was excellent, truly deserving its reputation as Japan's best sulfur-rich hot spring. Fully enjoyed it. The meals were well-thought-out, and despite being buffet-style, the taste was highly satisfying. Being all-inclusive, there’s a great sense of value right from check-in. The downside is that the rooms are somewhat basic, and you can hear sounds from neighboring rooms like in a local Business Hotel. Considering the cost-performance ratio, this might be acceptable depending on your perspective. Highly recommended for those who are not too bothered by noise!

    Lovely Bath

    Thank you for the wonderful service at both the Shuttle Service and the front desk. The bath had an amazing view, and I went to the open-air bath four times. With the all-inclusive plan, there were many options like alcohol and fruit water. However, due to this extreme heat (and no air conditioning in the Room), it was quite warm inside. I would love to visit again during a cooler season.

    It was the best Onsen.

    The best hot spring experience of my life. With the hotel's all-inclusive service, I could enjoy food and drinks without any worries, which was very convenient. The view from the window might not be ideal, though.

    It made us forget the scorching heat.

    This is my second visit as I wanted to enjoy the open-air sulfur Onsen. The bath and dining area were very close to the room on the third floor, which was very convenient. Stargazing from the terrace after bathing made me forget about the intense heat. I would love to visit again!

    The quality of the hot spring water is exceptional.

    Satisfied. I would like to come again if I have the chance.

    Stayed in the Scenic Twin Room, and as the name suggests, the view was absolutely stunning. The availability of a charger in the room was very convenient and much appreciated. The natural spring water from Manza available in the hallway was incredibly delicious—I might have had quite a bit of it in my room (laughs). The buffet for both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, all of which were delicious! The all-inclusive drink options were also plentiful, leaving us completely satisfied. As for the bath, I initially thought it felt slightly lukewarm, but after soaking for a while, it warmed me up perfectly. The sulfur scent added to an amazing experience. We visited during peak season but found that most guests were Japanese travelers with good manners, making our stay pleasant without any discomfort. One concern would be that overall facilities are somewhat outdated, and hallway noise could be directly heard at times.

    High satisfaction.

    This is my third visit. The quality of the food seemed to have slightly declined, but the all-inclusive service and onsen were highly satisfying. It remains one of the accommodations I would like to stay at again.

    All-inclusive with unlimited access to Onsen.

    It's wonderful to be able to enjoy the milky white hot springs anytime you like. You can soak while admiring the scenery for as long as you want. With activities like mini-golf, darts, and daily experiences, it's perfect for those who enjoy a drink too. Not only is dinner excellent, but it's rare to find an accommodation where you can enjoy such a wide variety of alcoholic beverages even at breakfast. Usually, it’s just sparkling wine at most. The cost-performance was great, and I’d love to stay here again. However, having to pay for the toll road both ways is a bit inconvenient. It would be nice if guests only had to pay one way!

    It was truly cool.

    The daytime temperature was around 20°C, making it cool and comfortable even in the middle of summer. At night, it got even cooler, which made our stay very pleasant. We were blessed with great weather and chose a stunning Japanese-style room with a view of Karabuki from the window. It was truly the perfect choice. The Onsen's outdoor bath was around 39–40°C, allowing for a relaxing long soak. The indoor bath was also about 40°C and felt wonderful. Unlike many women's outdoor baths where views are often obstructed by walls or roofs, this one had an open design except for one side wall. At night, we could enjoy soaking in the Onsen while gazing at the stars and moon—an unforgettable experience. The meals were delicious as expected from Juraku. The lounge service offered locally grown Tsumagoi corn and ice bars, which were delightful treats. Amenities were minimal; there were no hair ties provided but shower caps were available. Although Manza has no other entertainment options besides its Onsens, this Facility provided recreational amenities within its premises to keep us entertained throughout our stay. It became a memorable summer experience for us—thank you!

    This is Onsen.

    As expected of Manza Onsen. It truly feels like an authentic Onsen, but it can be physically demanding. Please enjoy at your own pace. The meals are carefully prepared dish by dish, making it hard to believe it's a buffet. Absolutely delicious. The hospitality of the staff is outstanding. It would be nice if there were more rooms with beds available. Overall, it's over 100 points! While there are some shortcomings, the positives far outweigh them. I will visit again!
