    Refresh every time

I soaked 9 times over a 3-day, 2-night stay. That’s because you can bathe all night long except for three hours in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. It’s so relaxing that your everyday fatigue feels like a lie. The Onsen quality is truly the best. This time, my skin checker even showed an age of 25. Thanks to the “Beautiful Skin Deity.”

The software was better than the hardware.

Thank you for your hospitality. We had to wait a little at check-in, but several staff members assisted us courteously. The staff we passed in the hallways also greeted us pleasantly. Of course, the Onsen was excellent as well.

No matter how many times you visit, it never gets old.

This time, the meals were upgraded. It’s not like the all-inclusive plans at luxury Accommodations, but it’s just right. Everything feels just right. From the quality of the Onsen I love, to the place being old yet always kept clean and tidy, and how I never get bored no matter how many times I visit or how long I stay. I don’t know why I love it this much, but I’ll be back!

Thank you for the photos of the large public bath and for lending them to us.

Visited by motorcycle. They kindly guided me to the designated parking area. I forgot my phone charging adapter, but I was able to borrow one at the front desk, which was a big help. During the cleaning time at the large public bath, I had a chance to take photos of the open-air bath overlooking Mt. Akagi, and I was happy to get some very beautiful shots. For dinner, the roast beef, Joshu pork shabu-shabu, and beni masu trout were especially delicious. The lounge service also included all-you-can-drink alcohol and snacks, which I really enjoyed. The staff greeted me warmly, and I was able to relax in a calm atmosphere. Thank you very much.

    Flawless

Once you visit, you’ll be hooked. There seemed to be many repeat guests around as well. All the Hotel staff always welcome you with a calm, warm attitude. The Onsen is, of course, flawless! The meals may not be particularly novel, but everything you want to eat is there. I’m not great with alcohol, but I still enjoy it plenty. If you love drinks, it’s hard to beat. I’m already excited about when to make my next Reservation.

    Dinner featuring local ingredients

From check-in, you provided alcohol, snacks, and even treats for the children this time, so everyone had a wonderful time. The hot spring water quality was excellent, and we hope to stay again next year. However, since we checked in after 3:00 PM, the fortune-telling was already fully booked and we couldn’t do it, which was disappointing.

    Best Value Accommodation

We stayed here last year as well, and we love this Hotel because three generations of our family can relax and enjoy our time together. Our children are already saying they want to come again next year.

There was a bear on the road.

It was a Room with a view of the ski slopes, and the scenery was even more magnificent than I expected. The all-inclusive plan feels like a good deal for those who mainly drink alcohol, but it may be underwhelming for people who don’t. The food served in the lounge felt a bit limited. There are various positive and negative Reviews about the dinner and breakfast buffet, but it was average—neither particularly good nor bad. The bath had excellent spring quality, with nothing to complain about. Overall, I felt it offered good value for money if it’s around 20,000 yen per person. On the way there by car, we saw a bear on a road near Juraku. When it noticed our car, it ran off into the mountains. My friends and I made a huge fuss—this was the biggest surprise of the trip.

I fully enjoyed the high-concentration sulfur hot spring.

I stayed for two nights in March. The bath, said to be Japan’s highest-concentration sulfur hot spring, was wonderful—I soaked seven times during my stay. All of the meals were delicious. With a strong focus on local production for local consumption, I enjoyed Gunma specialties such as Akagi beef roast beef, Joshu barley pork shabu-shabu, fresh Tsumagoi Highland vegetables, and ochazuke made with Gunma rainbow trout “Ginhikari.” The drinking water was also excellent; I heard the staff carefully protect the water source. The accessory I made in the stained-glass workshop has become a treasured keepsake, and the instructors were wonderful as well. This is a Hotel I would love to visit again. Thank you to all the staff.

The hospitality and service are excellent.

If you can get a two-person stay with two meals for up to 30,000 yen, I strongly recommend staying here at least once in your lifetime. The service is outstanding. 1. There were two routes to reach the Hotel. The police told me one seemed to be closed to traffic. When I called the Hotel, a foreign staff member said it was passable. I never found out which was true, so I took the toll road. 2. The entrance to the Hotel is via stairs. It may be difficult for guests with lots of luggage or mobility issues. 3. The lobby has great views, and alcoholic drinks and soft drinks are all-you-can-drink. It’s an excellent value. 4. The Onsen is also very good. 5. The meals were great as well. I stayed in a Japanese-style Room with a great view, but next time I’d like to book a Western-style Room. Free games. Free table tennis. Free beer after bathing. The building can feel like a maze at times, but you get used to it by the end of your one-night stay. The front desk is on an upper floor, and the guest Rooms are located on floors below it. Thank you very much for everything during my stay.

    The bath is perfect.

Even after staying two nights, I still wanted to soak in the bath again and again. The complimentary drinks in the lobby were great. Since the bath is so nice, it would be even better if it were available at any time.

The Onsen and the meals were both excellent!

Having stayed at another Hotel in Manza Onsen before, I loved the Onsen but was disappointed with everything else, so I chose Juraku because I wanted to try a different Hotel in Manza Onsen. In the end, I was very satisfied. The drinks and ice cream in the lobby lounge and the complimentary hand massage were great, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. For dinner, I enjoyed roast beef, shabu-shabu, tempura, and more. Dessert was also a highlight—I enjoyed cakes and mango. The Room was a bit small but felt clean. And the Onsen I had been looking forward to was truly excellent. The open-air bath has a wonderful view, so I recommend going during daylight hours.

    No payment required.

All-inclusive Check-out was as simple as returning the key. You can even drink beer from the morning. I don’t drink alcohol.

    The Onsen is amazing.

I love Manza Onsen. I love Hotel Juraku. Not only is the Onsen amazing, it’s all-inclusive, and they also offer workshops. I look forward to those every time. I’m not usually a fan of buffet dining, but everything at Juraku’s buffet is delicious, and I enjoyed plenty of butterfish and mango. It’s a wonderful Hotel where you can truly feel the staff’s heartfelt hospitality.

    After all, this Onsen.

I couldn’t book two nights this time, so I stayed in Ikaho the night before. The food may not compare, but when it comes to Onsen quality, nothing beats Manza. And the water at Juraku is especially good. Once again, my skin age came out as 28, and I’m quietly pleased with myself. Next time in Manza will be in June—I’m looking forward to seeing Kanna’s syringe paintings again.

    I’m satisfied.

All staff were very courteous and always greeted us with a smile, which made our stay truly comfortable. The Onsen was simply wonderful. Even though we didn’t soak for long, our bodies stayed warm for a long time afterward, and we also enjoyed the all-inclusive drinks and ice cream. Next time, I’d like to stay in a Room with a great view.

    Perfect score

Once again, the property is filled with thoughtfully crafted touches throughout, and it’s fun to look for them. The Onsen shrine and the skin checker were especially memorable. I was just about to buy a skin checker myself, so that really hit home. All of the staff are hardworking, and it’s a pleasure to watch them at work. Best of all is the quality of the Onsen—small cuts heal quickly. I stayed 2 nights and bathed 10 times. I’d love to stay longer; it never gets boring. I even got better at darts. For a Multiple Night Stay, having lunch included was great—this time it was a buffet where you can eat as much as you like, which was wonderful. I’m looking forward to my next visit as well.

I’d love to stay here again.

I stayed here for the second year in a row. Last year I had a twin Room, and this year a Japanese-style Room; both had massage chairs, which made it very relaxing. Although check-out is at 10:00, it was disappointing that the Shuttle Service bus time is in the 8 o’clock hour. Since we come all the way to Manza, I’d like to relax in the Room until close to 10:00. I understand this may be related to the limited number of Agatsuma Line trains, but I would appreciate it if this could be improved. I wanted to take photos of the Onsen, but when using the Shuttle Service, the timing doesn’t work out, which was very disappointing. Both the Onsen and the meals were excellent. I would love to stay again.

    Choose your Ryokan carefully.

I think it’s a good Hotel. However, it was different from what I expected. I hurriedly read the Reviews and made a Reservation. The Onsen was great.

    The staff are wonderful!

The foreign woman at the front desk always had a warm smile and greeted me when I passed by, and all the staff were wonderful. The bath was just as expected. I also feel that the mild pain around a surgical scar I had been concerned about improved a little. I stayed around late March, and there were even some snow flurries late at night. There was still snow on the road to the Hotel, so I’m glad I came with studless tires. There were more kinds of alcohol than I could possibly finish. The food was okay. I also enjoyed air hockey, darts, and table tennis. The building is old, but it was a stay that exceeded the price. Very satisfied.

    The Onsen was excellent.

The staff were friendly and attentive with warm smiles, so I have no complaints there. The smile of the employee who saw us off at the bus on our way home was especially memorable. I also really enjoyed the daily paper-cutting activity—it was fun and very educational. As for the Room, I felt it was about what you’d expect for the price: simple and basically just a place to sleep. But the view truly was spectacular, and it was worth paying extra compared to a standard Room. I assumed we would need to lay out our own futons, but they prepared them while we were at dinner, which was reassuring. However, the meals… I chose this stay after watching several YouTube videos, but the dinner buffet was pretty disappointing. The monkfish liver was so soft that it practically collapsed as soon as I touched it with my chopsticks—I honestly wondered how long it had been frozen. It had a reddish-purple color, and it didn’t taste like any monkfish liver I know, so I left it. And then there was the roast beef. I understand that keeping costs down is necessary when transporting ingredients up into the mountains, but is it really acceptable to serve even scraps to guests? (In my photo only two slices are left, but there were originally five.) Breakfast was similar—there was almost nothing I wanted to eat. In the end, for dinner I mostly ate pork shabu-shabu, and for breakfast I focused on vegetables like hijiki seaweed salad, kinpira burdock root, and yudofu (tofu in hot water). It was certainly healthy… though. And the Onsen truly were amazing. I can see why Manza Onsen ranks so highly among Onsen across The whole country even though access isn’t convenient. I’m not considering a second stay here, but I would love to come back again and again just for the Onsen alone.

A national park and a sulfur Onsen said to be among the most concentrated in Japan

The view of Mt. Karabuki from the Room is spectacular, and the all-inclusive plan with drinks available from arrival until departure is excellent. The buffet cuisine gets more delicious every time we visit. We love the meals and the sulfur Onsen. We will definitely return.

You can really feel the owner’s dedication.

It was a very nice Hotel. Even though the location has nothing but the ski slopes, there were quite a few older guests, myself included. Many people don’t ski, but the wonderful Onsen and thoughtful touches throughout the property made it easy to enjoy the whole day. It’s a Hotel I would definitely like to visit again.

    All-Inclusive Hooray!

We believe Manza Onsen is the best in Japan. Manza Juraku excels in its Onsen, Facility, meals, staff, and service—everything is wonderful. This time we chose a different Room type than usual, and having tatami made it even more relaxing. The breakfast dashi chazuke was outstanding.

    The meals are excellent.

Although it’s a buffet, the food is delicious and the vegetables are fresh—everything was great both at breakfast and dinner. The selection of alcoholic drinks was far more extensive than expected, which was very satisfying. The baths were also excellent. I’d love to visit again in a different season.

    We had a relaxing stay.

This was my first time staying at an all-inclusive Hotel, and I really enjoyed it. The Room had a great view of the sea, and the snowy scenery was beautiful. The open-air bath while watching the snow was also a memorable experience. I also appreciated the complimentary services in the lounge. I only wish there had been a bit more variety in the meals, but that may be asking too much. The staff’s greetings were also very pleasant. Thank you very much.

Due to the heavy snow, we couldn’t fully enjoy the open-air bath, which was disappointing.

This was my second stay. The Room was a Japanese-style room. The heating could not be adjusted for temperature or fan speed, so it was a bit difficult at bedtime since it was either on or off. Still, I’m grateful to be able to stay up in the mountains, and I actually enjoy the little inconveniences as part of the non-everyday experience. The meals at Juraku are buffet-style, which made the kids very happy. Adults were also delighted because alcohol is all-you-can-drink. I love the Onsen’s sulfur scent—it really makes you feel like you’ve come to an Onsen. This time, due to heavy snow, we couldn’t enjoy the view from the open-air bath, but we had a great time and were able to relax and take it easy. Thank you very much.

Never gets boring, no matter how many times you visit.

On the day of the snowstorm, my hair froze while enjoying the open-air bath. It was a first-time experience, and even the person next to me burst into laughter—it felt like an amusement park attraction! The temperature of my favorite Onsen is carefully monitored, and its high sterilizing effect is so strong that bacterial tests are exempted. Every time I visit, small wounds heal, and my skin becomes smooth. After several visits, I've discovered delicious ways to enjoy free drinks and created some buffet arrangement menus to savor. Looking forward to next time keeps me motivated at work!

    Even during New Year's...

We were able to stay as a family of six at a reasonable price. I believe the hot spring quality in Manza is the best in Japan, and while we usually stay at the hotel across the way, Juraku's all-inclusive service was excellent. Additionally, there were plenty of activities within the accommodation that our family enjoyed together. Every time we encountered staff members, they greeted us warmly, which was very pleasant. Since we visit Manza every year, we would love to stay with Juraku again next time.

    First Visit to Manza Onsen

The building and facilities are old, but some areas, such as the guest rooms, have been renovated. Being deep in the mountains, this is understandable. However, the quality of the Onsen was truly excellent. The temperature was perfect for a long soak, and from the open-air bath, you could enjoy a clear view of the starry sky. I would love to visit again.
