    Live kitchen at its best!

    The SORA room is compact but newly renovated and impeccably clean, leaving nothing to be desired. I would definitely like to stay again. The buffet offered a great variety, including steak, beef cheek, Italian dishes, sushi, rice balls, and more. There were also plenty of desserts like soft-serve ice cream and freshly baked cheesecake. It would have been even better if the dining area was more spacious with higher ceilings for a more relaxed dining experience—that was the only downside. The magic show wasn’t as entertaining compared to the Karakuri Doll performance at Marumine Kanko Hotel. The Onsen "Hanamomo no Yu" was moderately uncrowded, clean, and very pleasant. During New Year's holidays, there were many free events to enjoy that showcased the staff's hard work and dedication!

    The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the Onsen was amazing.

    A memorable Hotel we visited as a family long ago. Despite its historical background, the Hotel has been renovated and is impeccably clean, making it very pleasant. As soon as we parked our car, an employee kindly took us to the entrance via shuttle bus. Even though it was a short distance, the frequent shuttle service was impressive. We were slightly worried about leaving the Room selection up to them, but it turned out to be a spacious Japanese-Western style Room which was great. Having enjoyed delicious meals at Manza's Juraku during summer, we decided to visit Iizaka this time and were not disappointed—the meals were equally delightful. The Onsen facilities were expansive with both indoor and outdoor baths that were clean and offered excellent water quality. Nowadays it's common for staff members in Hotels to be non-Japanese speakers; however, here all employees seemed Japanese and they provided exceptional service with great hospitality. The rates are already affordable but booking through IKYU.com even came with vouchers usable within the facility—everything exceeded expectations! If only it were closer to Tokyo, I would love to visit every month! I will definitely return again soon!

    Experienced the warmth of human kindness at Iizaka Onsen.

    I had visited Iizaka Onsen several times for day trips before. On this occasion, I was heading to the Tokyo area for an errand and chose Juraku because I heard good reviews about their buffet and they offered dinner even with a late check-in until 7 PM. The Shuttle Service picked me up at the station, and from the moment I checked in, I felt warmly welcomed by their hospitality. The Room was spacious and comfortable, and the buffet had a wide variety of dishes which were excellent. The outdoor Onsen was particularly enjoyable. The shampoo bar allowed me to try shampoos I'd been curious about—what a lucky experience! To my surprise, there was live piano music with singing at night, which healed my soul with its beautiful melodies. The next morning, I finally visited Sabako-yu as planned. Although the water was extremely hot, a kind local resident said it would be "a shame if you couldn't enjoy it" and kindly added cold water for me—I was deeply touched by their kindness. I loved Sabako-yu so much that after checking out, I went back for another visit! Once again, locals showed concern about whether I'd be able to enter comfortably—it warmed my heart to experience such genuine hospitality from everyone in Iizaka Onsen. Iizaka Onsen is truly a wonderful place!

    It was a wonderful stay.

    I stayed for two nights at the end of autumn. As mentioned in the reviews, the staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Although it is a large hotel, thoughtful operations and layout made it comfortable even when busy. The meals were not only enjoyable with live kitchen performances but also delicious, with attention to detail evident even in condiments like butter and mustard on the table. It’s clear that great care is taken in selecting ingredients as well. Overall, I was delighted by the hospitality of all the staff, making it a truly wonderful stay. Thank you very much!

    Generally satisfied

    The accommodation was overall kept clean, making for a pleasant stay. Meals were freshly prepared and served buffet-style, with satisfying taste and variety. The only downside was that the price of alcoholic beverages felt a bit high for this class of accommodation (beer medium glass from 900 yen). As I am not a heavy drinker to opt for the all-you-can-drink option (2,500 yen), it would have been appreciated if single drinks were slightly more affordable.

    Compared to the same...

    Compared to the same Hotel in Minakami Onsen, the meals were a bit underwhelming, but the staff's service was excellent. The cleaning was thorough, and the Room was clean. Considering the price, the meals might be understandable, but it would be appreciated if at least hot miso soup or soup could be served.

    Thank you for your hospitality! The warm service from the staff (especially praised by my father!), the delicious meals, the clean room, and the perfectly tempered open-air bath—everything was truly satisfying! It’s rare to find an accommodation I’d want to stay at again, but Juraku was such a wonderful place that I would love to visit again.

    Three-Generation Vacation

    We stayed here for a three-generation trip and were very satisfied with the cost performance. However, it was disappointing that there was no coffee service in the Room, so we couldn't enjoy coffee during a relaxing time after breakfast. While complimentary coffee was available during the welcome time, it was unfortunate that on the following day, we could only enjoy it at the breakfast venue. The dinner was very delicious.

    Family Trip to Grandmother's Hometown

    The Hotel was very kind and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay with features like the standing bath. The hot water was excellent. The food was also delicious. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

    The meals are served buffet-style, not in the room, so I expected some dishes to be lukewarm or just visually appealing. However, including the live kitchen, the variety and taste exceeded expectations. Everyone praised it, and the cost performance is excellent. The room's bath does not seem to be an Onsen (though I did not confirm), but it was clean and spacious enough to be satisfying. All staff were kind and attentive. I would love to visit again!

    It was quite good.

    The hospitality was excellent, and the buffet meals were very enjoyable. The Facility was well-maintained and clean, and although the live performances after meals were small in scale, they were quite soothing. The Onsen, being part of a large Facility, had a circulation system but was still satisfactory. The sauna and cold bath were also available, making it a satisfying experience overall.

    It was excellent.

    Annual stay at Juraku Accommodation. It was indeed a great place. I chose the SORA Room, and it was truly the best accommodation for me. However, I was disappointed that although dinner was supposed to be until 7:15 PM for the 5:45 PM slot, I was told it ended at 7:00 PM. Other than that, everything was excellent.

    The toilet in the Room is too small, even for a slim person to move comfortably. Also, the distance from the elevator to the bath is quite far. Sorry for being picky. Looking forward to staying again!

    It was excellent!

    It was excellent! The Onsen was amazing, and the food was delicious! Especially the white rice!!! The room was spacious and satisfying. However, it was disappointing that the Taiko no Tatsujin game in the arcade returned coins even after inserting them.

    Highly Satisfied

    During my trip back to Iwate, I had the pleasure of staying here. The warm welcome and farewell were so wonderful that it made me want to visit this Ryokan again. Of course, all the other staff members provided excellent service as well. The SORA room was also very lovely. The quality of the breakfast and dinner buffet was high, and everything was delicious. The whole peach dessert available during this season was sweet and so good that I finished it in no time. I have already made a reservation for my year-end trip home, as I would love to stay here again. I am very much looking forward to my next stay!

    Satisfaction

    This was my second stay. This time, I brought my dog with me (if you plan to leave your pet at the accommodation, it is essential to confirm with the hotel before making a reservation. They can accommodate up to four small dogs on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check availability in advance before completing the reservation). After confirming that I could leave my dog there, I brought proof of rabies and vaccination. The place for leaving dogs is not at the main entrance but in a separate area. There is an entrance specifically for dogs there, and upon opening the door, I found four cages where pets can be left. While meals and walks need to be taken care of by yourself, the space was clean, well-organized, and odor-free. What I enjoyed about bringing my dog was being able to walk around town together. In the morning and evening, we went out for walks and enjoyed foot baths at Iizaka Onsen. Although we couldn't spend time together during our stay inside the accommodation itself, it felt like a better option than leaving my pet at a regular pet hotel.

    Excellent

    This was my second stay. The large public bath is pleasant and offers variety, making it enjoyable. The buffet doesn't have anything particularly unique, but the food is simply delicious. Perhaps because it was June, we were able to enjoy handheld fireworks in front of the hotel this time. It was so much fun after a long time. Also, by chance, there was a trumpet performance, and I listened to live trumpet music at high volume for the first time—it was such a wonderful experience. The staff are very friendly and one of the reasons I choose this accommodation. I often visit luxury accommodations as well, but there are quite a few where the staff's attitude isn't great despite charging high prices. At Juraku, it's very reasonable yet both the Onsen and staff are excellent. I will visit again!

    I chose this accommodation (SORA stay) for my solo trip, hoping to relax in the onsen and enjoy delicious food. From check-in, all the staff were kind and attentive, which left a great impression. The SORA room had a special atmosphere and was incredibly comfortable! The dinner buffet I was looking forward to was so delicious that there were still many dishes I wanted to try but couldn’t because I was too full! The steak portions were quite large, so having a smaller size option would be nice. Since most guests seemed to be families, being alone felt a little lonely at times. I planned to make up for it at the breakfast buffet but ended up oversleeping because the bed in my room was just too comfortable! Missing breakfast due to such an unfortunate mistake is entirely on me... With check-out at 11:00 AM in the SORA building, I let my guard down. As it’s far away from where I live, revisiting might be difficult. However, if I get another chance someday, I'd love to enjoy breakfast as well. Thank you very much to all the kind staff members!

    Repeat visits are welcome.

    If you were born in the Showa era, you might have seen a commercial for Hotel Juraku at least once. Finally, I had the chance to stay here. The room was SORA. With a dedicated elevator, there was minimal waiting time. Yukata and amenities were already set up in the room, so no need to pick them up from the front desk floor. Freshly ground coffee could be enjoyed, and a large sofa as comfortable as a bed allowed for ultimate relaxation. Dinner had designated start times and seating arrangements, while breakfast started at 7:00 AM with a system where guests used "In Use" plates to reserve their seats. Ingredients that had been sitting out too long were promptly replaced with fresh ones, and even when guest numbers decreased, food was replenished almost to full capacity. The onsen offered three temperature options: lukewarm, just right, and hot baths—plus an array of outdoor baths. While I don't have major complaints or suggestions for improvement, here are some minor points: 1) The one-way street in front of the hotel has unclear signage about traffic directions. 2) Accessing the large public bath requires using stairs only; it seems wet towels cannot be exchanged. 3) Due to the hotel's natural surroundings, there are many insects such as small moths or mosquitoes both in outdoor baths and occasionally inside rooms. Despite these points, we followed sightseeing recommendations shared by what seemed like one of the shuttle service drivers? We enjoyed our time at both meals and baths until nearly closing time while capturing plenty of memorable photos along the way—it turned out to be an even better trip than expected! Although I usually don’t revisit places I've stayed before, I’d love to return while that person is still around!

    I had a relaxing time.

    The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were very satisfying. The baths offered a variety of options, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The Room felt slightly old but was quiet, spacious, and comfortable for relaxation. Autumn foliage season seems like the best time to visit. I would love to stay here again.

    Sakura no Iizaka Onsen

    This was my second stay. This time, it was during the cherry blossom season. Originally, I planned to return home but decided to stay for one night. Since my previous experience was great, I chose Iizaka Juraku again. The room was spacious and on the riverside, with a separate bedroom for relaxation. I have also visited Minakami and Manza before, and the meals here are buffet-style but very delicious. The vegetables and fruits are fresh, and the live kitchen steak is truly amazing—I even went back for seconds! The breakfast lineup includes all my favorites. Before leaving, I received a recommendation for a nearby spot with beautiful cherry blossoms—the cherry blossoms in the city hall garden were stunning! The staff at Juraku are always kind and welcoming with their smiles—it makes me so happy. I definitely want to visit again!

    The comfort is exceptional.

    It was very good. The freshly fried tempura, pizza, and sushi were delicious. The steak was a bit tough. The breakfast rice balls were the best! The omelet was also delicious. It would have been even better if the Room's private open-air bath was an Onsen. It was a Hotel I would like to visit again.

    This was my first visit. The Room was clean and the size was just right. The receptionist was very pleasant, and I enjoyed trying out the various baths. The cleaning inside the facility was thorough. The buffet was delicious. If I come to the Fukushima area again, I would definitely like to visit.

    It was a wonderful trip,

    Stays Juraku is a familiar property from the past, but this was my first time staying there. Since it was a three-generation family trip, we stayed in a special room with a large space. The room was larger than any I've stayed in before, and it was equipped with various amenities like a massage machine and hair iron. The accommodation cost was also very reasonable, so I was very satisfied. The meals and bath were also very good. My elderly parents were also pleased. If I have the chance, I would like to stay at another Juraku. Thank you very much.
