The bath and meals were excellent.

I stayed here as a solo traveler. Above all, the Onsen and the meals were excellent. The Onsen includes two indoor baths (one hot and one lukewarm), plus an open-air bath. The hot and lukewarm Onsen suited me perfectly and felt wonderful. The food was also very delicious, and I was especially impressed that I could enjoy kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) both at dinner and breakfast. The Room itself was generally clean, though it did feel a bit dated. I couldn’t find any power outlets on the walls (there was one near the TV), so I hesitated a little when choosing where to sleep. Also, while there is drinkable Onsen water available at the drinking station, it was a bit confusing that the Onsen water from the bathroom sink in the Room was marked as not potable. If it’s not for drinking, I would have preferred a separate faucet independent from the tap water. That said, having an in-room bath with Onsen water is very appealing, and with a spacious Room as well, it was an Accommodation where I could truly relax. I visited Ito for an errand this time, but if I can enjoy this much at this price, next time I’d like to come specifically for the Onsen.

    Second time.

This time, we brought our dog and also used the Shuttle Service. Dogs can’t be taken into the dining area, but there is a mini buffet and the food is delicious. We keep buying the spicy wood ear mushrooms as a souvenir. The Room doesn’t have an outside view, so it might be a bit boring for dogs. It would be nice if there were a small area where they could play…

The high-quality Onsen and attentive service were excellent.

The free-flowing Onsen has two baths—one lukewarm and one hot—making it perfect to alternate between them. The open-air bath was also pleasantly hot. The lukewarm bath in particular was so relaxing that I could soak for a long time and lose track of time. I was also impressed that the pick-up from Ito Station arrived promptly with just a quick phone call.

    The hot water was great.

I stayed here again in February and March. The water is excellent, and in my personal opinion, it seemed to improve my skin condition. It’s great that not only the large public bath but also the hot water in the Room bath and washbasin is Onsen. The Premium Twin I stayed in March had a spacious in-room bath connected to a terrace-like area, giving it an open, semi-open-air feel. Since outdoor baths can be cold in winter, this felt like a better option. The bedroom has carpet flooring, but there were no indoor slippers provided, so I used my own disposable slippers that I brought just in case.

The meals and the Onsen are outstanding!

I had been staying at another Ryokan in Ito since the day before, but due to train delays and cancellations on my way home, I decided to stay one more night and booked this Accommodation at short notice that morning. I really appreciated how kindly they accommodated my allergies. The Room felt a bit old, but it was a simple Japanese-style room where I could truly relax. There was also a convenience store and a 100-yen shop nearby, so I was able to get anything I needed for my stay. Above all, the meals were delicious and made me feel genuinely happy. The abalone and kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) were such a treat—luxurious and wonderful. Breakfast was also great, and I ended up eating more than usual. The bath was incredibly relaxing, and I went in many times. It was also nice to try the drinkable Onsen water! Another highlight was the post-bath lounge, which had an excellent selection of manga. I hadn’t known about it in advance, so it was a pleasant surprise that really lifted my mood!! Highly recommended for manga lovers. Since the Room’s age stood out to me a little, next time I’d like to upgrade to a higher-grade option. This stay became a great memory—thank you very much!

    It was great.

Overall, it was great. There was a karaoke facility and massage services available. Regarding the meals, there seemed to be an all-you-can-drink course, but it wasn't clearly stated that it was only for those who ordered the course. It might be better to clarify this to avoid any misunderstandings.

There were some good points, but...

The Ryokan had its charm, but it felt quite old. While some areas were well-maintained, the presence of mold made the age very noticeable. Additionally, the fire alarm went off early in the morning without any apparent reason, leaving us feeling uneasy. The meals were delicious, but overall, it turned out to be a disappointing trip. I cannot say I was fully satisfied.

The bath, which is open throughout the stay, was excellent. The staff's service was great, and the massage for women was outstanding.

A reliable accommodation in the Ito area.

We stayed for one night as a couple in the height of summer. The parking lot is well-maintained, and there is a shuttle service to the nearest station, making access convenient. Despite the hot weather, the onsen offered both hot and lukewarm baths, providing a comfortable experience. The spring water, which can also be consumed, is worth trying. Even during peak season, the pricing was relatively reasonable, suggesting that much effort has been put into operations and staffing. The room was very clean, and above all else, the abalone and golden-eye snapper served at dinner were incredibly delicious—truly capturing the essence of being in Izu. The variety of dishes, seasoning, and presentation were perfect; no complaints here! This accommodation appears to have been quite busy during its heyday in the Showa era but has successfully repurposed its space while offering excellent staff service for a comfortable stay without any issues. During this time of year in Ito's coastal area, fireworks are displayed nightly and can also be enjoyed from this accommodation. If I may make a suggestion: while it’s great for families or large groups who can spend ample time here without issue, for smaller groups or adult couples like us, it would be ideal to enhance post-bath spaces or hospitality features tailored to such guests. For example: adding amenities like massage lounges, theater rooms or mini-bars—even if it means slightly increasing prices—would likely encourage repeat visits. Additionally: remodeling areas such as the entrance hall near reception or small souvenir corner into these facilities might be beneficial. Overall though—it felt like an excellent value-for-money accommodation with high cost-effectiveness. You can sense all staff members' dedication through their efforts. While elevator congestion at certain times was stressful—it’s understandable given circumstances!

    The Room was clean. ...

The Room was clean. The meals, especially the sashimi, simmered golden eye snapper, and spiny lobster hot pot, were particularly delicious. The pool was old but spacious with shaded areas, and my three-year-old son had a great time swimming with his float.

    Onsen Hotel

Stayed in a Japanese-Western style room. Knowing in advance that the view from the window was of MaxValu, there was no disappointment. The toilet being small was unfortunate. Having Onsen water available in the room is truly a highlight of Ito. Meals were plentiful, and the much-anticipated kinmedai (golden eye snapper) was delicious. The amount of sake served in masu cups varied quite a bit, perhaps indicating staff are still in training? However, their hard work even in a foreign land left a positive impression. For this price during Golden Week, it’s recommended!

    It was very relaxing.

This is my third stay at this accommodation. A friend of mine also stayed here before and spoke highly of it. The hot springs, meals, and customer service are all excellent. Despite being busy this time, I was glad to have a chance to chat with the front desk staff. I appreciated learning that the famous "Nagashima Manager's Hellish Ito Camp" (intense training for young Giants players decades ago) took place at the site of the current city hospital behind this hotel. I intended to give all five-star ratings, but like other hotels in this area, the parking lot was crowded, so I rated it four stars for that aspect. I'll stay here again. Thank you very much!

    Satisfied.

It was a traditional Ryokan with a nostalgic atmosphere. I went with high expectations for the meals after reading the reviews, and I was more than satisfied! The apple pudding dessert was delicious. It was nice to feel the spring at the front space. I would like to use it again.

    It was very good.

I went with my family. It was helpful that we were picked up at Ito Station. The Onsen was pleasant, and the food was delicious. Both the interior and the Room were clean, and I would like to visit again.

    The food was delicious.

This was my first time using this service. I was looking for a hotel where I could stay with my beloved dog. I decided on this place because there were many reviews saying the food and onsen were good. I knew before going that the room windows were small, but they were very dirty, which was disappointing. Since it's a place that must be opened for ventilation, I think it should be cleaned. The dog amenities were sufficient. The breakfast bento was luxurious and delicious. Since I could have it in the room, I didn't have to leave my dog alone. I thought such consideration was wonderful.

    This was my second visit.

I visited Ito City for the first time a few years ago and stayed here. The hot springs were wonderful, so I wanted to stay again and made a reservation through this site. It's fine if you plan to spend the night inside the hotel, but the distance from the station near the downtown area is a bit tricky—it's close for a taxi but slightly far for walking. It would have been even better if there was a timetable for buses to and from the station.
