    Highly Satisfying Accommodation

    We stayed as a group of six, including two elementary school children. The kids were happy and enjoyed the various on-site activities (craft workshops, the pool, fireworks on the beach, table tennis, and other games). The adults were also satisfied with the high-quality food despite it being a buffet; in particular, the sashimi that was sliced to order was fresh and delicious. We were pleased with the breakfast buffet as well. The Hotel staff were kind and provided pleasant service. There are a few minor points—such as the small toilet in the Room and the somewhat complex layout of the Hotel—but overall we had a very satisfying trip.

    Even as a senior couple, we really enjoyed our stay.

    I booked this Accommodation through IKYU at the last minute when I went to visit my niece who lives nearby, and there happened to be just one Room available. I wasn’t expecting much, but the ocean-side Room was clean, and I also enjoyed the scenic-view bath. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes and everything was delicious. Draft beer, sake, and shochu were included, so my husband—who loves drinks—was very happy. The morning hamburger made with Hitachi beef was especially excellent. There were also various summer vacation activities, which I think would be fun for families with children. Next time, I’d like to stay with my niece and her husband and their children.

    Satisfied.

    This was my first time staying at an all-inclusive Hotel, and it was very comfortable and easy to relax! The beer, wine, and sake were all delicious. I would definitely like to stay again.

    About the Hotel

    All-inclusive. Excellent. A real treat for those who enjoy a drink. If the weather is good, you can see the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean! Both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying. However, as a curry lover, I was a little disappointed there was no curry at breakfast. It would be even better with an open-air bath. Still, it’s an Accommodation that makes you want to come back.

    Our family of four stayed here. Our junior high and elementary school children had a great time playing darts and table tennis in the playroom. The dinner buffet offered a wide variety of dishes and was very delicious. However, we arrived after 4:00 p.m., so we missed the welcome service and afternoon tea, which was disappointing. Other activities such as craft experiences and karaoke also ended earlier than expected, so we think we would have enjoyed it even more if the time limits were a bit more flexible.

    It was very good. The only disappointing thing was that the tatami mats in the changing area were old and frayed, which felt unhygienic. If this is improved, there would be nothing to complain about.

    My Tokyo-based friend’s first trip to Ibaraki

    As the title suggests, I stayed here for a 1-night, 2-day trip to Ibaraki with a friend from Tokyo who came to see the nemophila at the seaside park. The exterior feels a bit dated, but the interior is very clean and modern. Everything was well maintained and spotless throughout. The all-inclusive plan was excellent—being able to enjoy COSTA coffee anytime was the best (they also had orange juice and other drinks, including alcohol). Best of all were the dinner and breakfast buffets! Everything was delicious. We could make our own seafood rice bowls with salmon roe, fresh shirasu, and sashimi. The sweet shrimp was also fresh and tasty. Personally, I loved being able to make my own hot pot, and it was great that we could choose from two types of broth. There weren’t many dessert options, but they make up for it with Häagen-Dazs ice cream, which was amazing. The staff were very attentive—for example, they cleared dishes promptly—which made the experience even better. My friend loved it too and said they want to stay here again during kokia season. I’d love to bring them back. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

    Just as described in the Review

    I made a Reservation to see the nemophila flowers, expecting good Reviews, and it was absolutely the right choice. The staff in every section were wonderful, making for a very pleasant stay. The breakfast and dinner buffets were more luxurious and delicious than expected; I was so full that I couldn’t eat dessert, which was a shame. There were many all-inclusive menu options as well, and I wasn’t sure where to go. The afternoon tea was especially nice for me since I have a sweet tooth and don’t do well with alcohol. The morning soup was also delicious. The massage chair felt great, and the view from there was amazing; next time I’d like to choose a Room with a semi-open-air bath overlooking the sea and enjoy a more relaxing stay. There were flower arrangements at the entrance to the large public bath and along the hallways too, which made me feel truly welcomed. This is a Hotel I’d love to visit again.

    It was a very satisfying Hotel.

    From the pre-check-in lounge and light snacks to the Room, playroom, karaoke room, and large public bath, everything was clean, comfortable, and plenty of fun. Dinner was long-awaited, and we enjoyed more crab than we ever have before; the fresh seafood and beef steak were also very satisfying. Breakfast was just as excellent—especially the delicious burgers. Our whole family had a wonderful stay. Thank you very much.

    An old Hotel that isn’t worth the price.

    Because it was nemophila season, it cost over 70,000 yen for two people. It was far too expensive and not worth the price. The building felt like something from decades ago, which was disappointing. Although it is advertised as all-inclusive, it only included unlimited drinks and a few snacks. People seem to come just because it’s by the sea; honestly, I didn’t find it appealing.

    Fun for both adults and kids—everyone will be delighted!!

    This was my first time staying here. I made a Reservation in the East Wing, and the Room was very new and clean, which I really appreciated. With the all-inclusive plan, I enjoyed a truly luxurious stay. The selection of drinks was satisfying, and there were so many buffet options that it was impossible to try everything. The staff were all kind and helpful. Although the weather wasn’t great, I was able to fully enjoy my time at the Hotel, and there were even a few sunny breaks the next morning so I could take a short walk outside. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay!!

    I’d love to stay here again!

    This was my first stay, and I stayed for two nights. It was a bit disappointing that there is only one large public bath, but otherwise I was very satisfied! The renovated Room was also very clean, and I could use it comfortably with plenty of space.

    Plenty of relaxing spaces!

    The lounge services are excellent. There are plenty of relaxing spaces, making it easy to spend quality time outside the Room. It’s a shame that the large public bath is small and tends to get crowded, but overall we had a very positive impression! The meals offered a well-balanced selection without feeling cluttered, which was great.

    Family Trip

    For senior guests, it seemed tiring to walk around a large venue for the buffet. The Room had a bath, but it felt like it was added through a forced renovation, so the view from the Room was not very good because it was blocked by the bath. It may not be suitable for those who want a calm trip without having to line up for everything. I had set my expectations too high for the afternoon tea sweets. It felt better suited for lively groups and large families.

    This was my first time staying here. At check-in, there were many young guests and families with small children. From the Room, the ocean was right in front of me and it felt wonderful. There was truly so much food that I couldn’t finish it. For older guests, a system where each dish is brought to the table might be better! I was overwhelmed by everything and didn’t feel like I could eat at a relaxed pace. It may be best suited for people who want to eat and drink a lot! The bath was an open-air scenic bath, and I could soak and relax. The bath in the Room wasn’t very user-friendly. My favorite part was the cafe space on the first floor. You can enjoy not only coffee but also beer and wine, which is great for those who like alcohol. There were also some light snacks, which made me happy. This is an Accommodation you’ll want to visit with a big group for a lively time.

    A wonderful Hotel.

    I stayed in the East Wing for one night to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was our first visit, and during dinner, we were surprised with a celebratory cake and a photo session. The cake came with a message plate, and the photo was placed in a frame and handed to us at checkout. My wife was delighted by this unexpected surprise—thank you so much! The room had an ocean view, and watching the sunrise was truly breathtaking and beautiful. The wooden flooring felt great underfoot, and the indirect lighting across the walls as well as the placement of outlets and switches were thoughtfully designed for convenience, making it easy to charge devices like smartphones. We had a very comfortable stay. Additionally, public spaces such as restaurants were beautifully designed with excellent aesthetics. Above all else, I was deeply impressed by the attentiveness and kindness of all Hotel staff members—it made this trip truly memorable. One small point: on the 9th floor of the East Wing where there is an observation bathhouse, I found that the shower water pressure was low, which was slightly disappointing. I assume this is due to limited water pressure from rooftop pipes given its location on the top floor; perhaps adding a pump system specifically for 8th-floor lines could improve this issue further. Because of this minor inconvenience, I rated it 4 stars instead of 5; however overall it’s an excellent Hotel that left me very satisfied! I would definitely love to stay here again!

    The Hotel was not senior-friendly. The Room we stayed in had a significantly high raised floor, and my mother, who wanted to sleep on a futon, chose the bed instead because she was afraid of going to the bathroom at night. However, as she wasn't used to sleeping on a bed, it seems she couldn't sleep at all. It would have been helpful if this feature of the Room was mentioned beforehand. We will not be returning.

    A Long-Awaited Family Trip

    We stayed at the Hotel as a family of three, including our 27-year-old son, to relax and enjoy some quality time. We fully enjoyed the all-inclusive experience! We are very satisfied. Thank you very much.

    The dinner and break...

    The dinner and breakfast buffet were very delicious. The Room had an ocean view, which was very relaxing. We arrived by car, but it was a bit disappointing that there was no assistance with luggage or send-off service. It seems like a Hotel you can visit casually. I will visit again.

    Had a wonderful time with my grandchildren.

    We visited for an autumn trip with three families. The Room was clean and well-organized, and the children's amenities were helpful. However, the Room key was difficult to use, and we had to ask the front desk staff to adjust it for my son's Room; we would prefer a card key system. At the buffet, although my grandson with an egg allergy found limited options, everything was clearly labeled, making it easier to choose suitable dishes. This was our second visit to Oarai Hotel this year, and it is a comfortable Hotel. We will visit again.

    It was a perfect Resort Hotel for families with children.

    Reservations are often fully booked, and I had always wanted to stay here. At first glance, the exterior made me wonder, but once inside, it was a truly lovely space. The free-flow lounge and numerous relaxing spots with ocean views were fantastic, as was the direct access to the beach. Being able to go outside made it easier to relax even if children got a bit noisy. The buffet was luxurious and delicious. Despite being crowded, everything was kept clean and organized for smooth dining—an impressive operation overall. I appreciated how karaoke rooms, craft workshops, table tennis areas, and other spaces repurposed from former banquet halls were utilized effectively. The staff provided seamless service and were wonderful. The room layout felt a bit unusual in terms of sink placement or storage design but was more than sufficient. The ocean view and balcony were amazing! It gave off resort vibes that excited both us and our kids. Allowing drinks to be brought into the room is very convenient for families with children. The selection of liqueurs for alcohol lovers was excellent; however, having sparkling wine or whiskey available during the buffet would have been perfect. Personally, I wasn’t fond of their wine or sake options. Considering factors like the size of the facility or its age—it wasn’t overly polished but still stylishly maintained—making it just right for families with kids to enjoy comfortably. I’d love to visit again!

    This is the fourth time.

    This is my fourth time staying here. I am always very satisfied with this Hotel. The location is simply amazing. The meals are even more outstanding. The staff's attentiveness is excellent. Thank you for always helping me unwind from the fatigue of the city's hustle and bustle. I look forward to visiting again soon.

    The meals are excellent.

    The welcome service is excellent, especially the pizza and cocktail service. The buffet meals were a step above those at other Hotels. It would be great if there were open-air baths or similar facilities. The view in front of the sea is stunning.

    Welcome drink upon check-in, all-you-can-drink alcohol, and pizza for a truly satisfying experience. Enjoy one hour of free karaoke as well! I always choose Oarai Hotel for my mother's birthday every year. This time, I visited with my boyfriend, and he was very pleased and wants to come back again.

    Family Accommodation

    Initially, we planned to stay as a couple, but our two children joined us unexpectedly, so the four of us stayed in a Moderate Twin Room. The room was filled with beds, but it couldn't be helped. The buffet was of high quality overall and quite good for a buffet. Breakfast was delicious as well, though I ended up overeating and feeling uncomfortably full later—just a minor issue. Considering the accommodation fee of 30,000 yen per person, the buffet matched its value. Since our family doesn't drink much alcohol, we didn't fully benefit from the all-inclusive option; however, the coffee and other beverages were high quality and enjoyable. We would love to stay here again!

    Family Travel

    The Accommodation Fee felt high, possibly due to being inclusive and during the summer vacation. The Room was spacious and comfortable, but it was disappointing that the floor felt gritty and dust had accumulated. It was appreciated that separate room wear for children was provided. Thanks to the inclusive service, drinks were readily available. We wanted to try pizza and other items but couldn't due to limited time on this visit. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, which we enjoyed. The seating area was spacious as well. Being able to prepare your own hot pot and having a large selection of seafood were great features. However, at the drink bar during meals, options like orange juice were only available in carbonated form, which caused trouble for children who couldn't find suitable drinks—this might be intentional but leaves younger kids without options they can consume easily. Although limited in number, free fireworks with buckets and lighters provided were a nice touch. The pool is small but not overly crowded; towels are also available for borrowing, which was very convenient.

    I want to visit again.

    It was so much fun and delicious! We stayed with a friend's family. On the first day, we enjoyed activities at the Hotel: pool → cycling → dinner → karaoke → festival games → fireworks → large public bath. In between, we had plenty of drinks. The kids were all smiles and fully enjoying themselves, while the parents were exhausted (haha). On the second day, after a delicious breakfast following dinner from the night before, we visited an aquarium. It was an incredibly enjoyable two days. The staff at the Hotel were very accommodating, and we would love to stay again!
