    Highly satisfied.

    Every year, we only admired the peach orchards from the highway on our way back from cherry blossom viewing in Nagano. This time, we decided to get off the highway and take our time by staying at Isawa Onsen. We chose Hotel Fuji on IKYU.com based on its great reviews, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. Our room was on a high floor with a view of various hotels and even snow-capped distant mountains, which was delightful. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, and as light eaters, my spouse and I were able to select items that suited our tastes perfectly—very satisfying! Above all, the staff members, including those in charge of cleaning, were incredibly kind and provided excellent service. Thanks to them, we had a relaxing stay. Since we checked in early, I left my napping husband behind and tried solo karaoke for an hour at ¥880—a new hobby I've recently started. The staff kindly guided me to a luxurious room where I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was fantastic!

    We stayed here for a three-generation family trip. Since the children wanted a buffet, we chose this accommodation based on its good reviews for food. Indeed, the variety and taste of the dishes were excellent, but the dining area felt cramped for the number of guests, with tables placed too close together, making it quite noisy. Compared to a slightly more expensive hotel in Hakone where we stayed the previous night, the food here was just as impressive. However, the lack of a calm atmosphere was disappointing. I hope for a more relaxed dining space and better presentation of dishes to fully enjoy meals at leisure in future visits. The room had been renovated and was spacious and clean, while the onsen was also delightful. I would love to visit again if improvements are made to create a more serene dining experience by then!

    Relax with meals and Onsen!

    The buffet was truly amazing. Not cheap-looking, and everything was incredibly delicious. I was surprised by the variety and quality, which made me very happy. I even squeezed in some filet steak at the end because I wanted to try it so much. The staff who guided us to our Room provided excellent support, offering to bake pizza for us and kindly pointing out when my child wore the wrong yukata—it was fantastic service. The bath area was clean with no unpleasant spots, making it a very comfortable experience. The spacious bath allowed me to relax fully. Although there were group guests staying as well, we were able to enjoy the meals, baths, and karaoke without any issues. The Room design has a slightly old-fashioned feel, and the view from the window wasn’t particularly great (at 175 cm tall, I barely fit through the entrance), but since it had been recently renovated with a bed and sofa included, we could lie down or sit comfortably upon arrival—it was very relaxing overall.

    The room was clean.

    The room was very clean and comfortable to use. The meals were quite strongly flavored, which seemed intended to encourage drinking. We chose the buffet, which allowed 90 minutes for dinner and 60 minutes for breakfast. This is sufficient for adults, but it was quite hectic with children. First, we had to choose food for the hungry children and make sure they ate without dropping anything, and then select food for the adults. We found that there was not enough time, and we had to rush through the desserts. I understand this is the nature of a buffet, but I think it would be better if there was a bit more time allowed.

    Great for families!

    I heard the buffet was good, so I made a reservation. Indeed, the buffet is great! It's especially nice that they make tempura, steak, hamburgers, sushi, and rice balls on the spot. The buffet doesn't just consist of dishes that can be made in large quantities at once; there are many items that feel like individual dishes, which is wonderful! I think the buffet is great whether you go as an adult or with your family. The onsen and rooms are average. There are some aspects of the construction and age that make you go "huh?" I think it's better not to expect too much from the facility's quality, but I thought it was sufficient for a family visit.

    I will never go again!

    A nail was sticking out from the shoji handle, and I got injured. There were no words of apology, and it was an untrustworthy Hotel. I will never go again!

    I stayed with my mother and husband in a room with two rooms and a semi-open-air bath. There were two toilets, which was convenient.

    I was satisfied.

    We stayed here for an onsen trip during the New Year holidays after a long time. The shuttle service from the station was available, and the service was excellent. The meals were buffet-style and very delicious, just as the reviews said. The room was a renovated room, and we could spend our time spaciously. We will visit again.

    I used it for a girl...

    I used it for a girls' trip. I came looking forward to the meals, and as expected, I was able to enjoy a wide variety of delicious dishes. The steak was tender, and the freshly fried tempura was also delicious. You can enjoy a hot pot individually, so I think it's enjoyable even if you go with friends. The bus seems to be for coming to and leaving the Stays, so if you have plans to go out, it's better to come by car.

    The dinner buffet is excellent, but the breakfast is...

    We stayed in a room with an Onsen bath (both open-air and indoor). Overall, we were satisfied. 〇 Positive Points - The room's bath was spacious and deep, providing a warm experience. - We appreciated the chair placed in the room for my elderly mother with leg issues. - The dinner buffet was impressive. Everything was freshly made and delicious. (Tempura, sushi, steak, etc., were freshly prepared on the spot. There were many small-sized cakes of various kinds, both Japanese and Western.) - The spa treatment was skillful. 〇 Points That Could Be Improved - The bath chair in the room was small and uncomfortable to sit on. (We requested a nursing chair, which was initially declined, but my elderly mother asked again, and it was provided.) - There was no place to hang towels in the room (there was a towel rack, but it was not large enough for bath towels). - Breakfast was served in a basket, and we were told we could eat anywhere, but it was inconvenient to bring drinks from the buffet area. The basket did not include chopsticks or spoons, so we had to go back and forth to the buffet area. All the food was cold and lacked flavor (it was disappointing, especially since the dinner buffet was so delicious).

    The buffet is amazing.

    I was scheduled to check in at 6 PM, but I was 30 minutes late and was still able to check in smoothly. The meals are buffet-style with a wide variety, making it hard to choose. The freshly fried tempura and rice balls were truly delicious. The bath was also very nice. I was able to relax and rest well.

    It's not bad, but everything is somewhat off.

    I used the special room. It was spacious and clean, but it didn't feel special and was quite ordinary. The hairdryer in the bathroom was quite old, making crackling noises and emitting a burnt smell, which was frightening as it seemed like it might catch fire. I believe it needs to be replaced immediately. The response from the front desk, the guidance to the guest room, and the service from the staff during meals were quite unsatisfactory. Please start by studying proper language usage. Dinner was a Wagyu Plan, but it was really just Wagyu, and I thought the menu needed to be reviewed a bit more. Balance is also important. It's not terrible, but I don't think I'll be visiting again.

    With my mother and sister

    It was a stay for three people, including my elderly mother and my sister who just had knee surgery. We arrived by car, but upon arrival, there was no particular guidance, which felt somewhat strange. The room was near the large public bath, so perhaps due to the tall trees, the room was dark, and the lighting was also very dim, which was concerning. The meals had a wide variety and were very satisfying. The trip for the three of us after a long time turned out to be enjoyable. Thank you very much.

    The dinner buffet was excellent. We ordered a wine tasting set for an additional fee, so we focused on selecting items that would pair well with the wine, and we were very satisfied with the wide variety available. We were full before even getting to the hot pot or main dishes. The breakfast buffet was somewhat ordinary, and I would have been happier if there had been more types of freshly baked bread. It was also disappointing that there were no desserts in the morning, so I gave it four stars.

    The food was so delicious that I overate.

    I enjoyed the buffet. It was so luxurious that I ended up taking too much. I think the hamburger that comes with the steak is unnecessary. It's too big and goes to waste. The small rice balls made on the spot were very delicious. The staff was also kind. I think it was sweetfish, but the salt-grilled fish was too salty. The large public bath is spacious and provides a pleasant experience. It's too hot for me, as I prefer lukewarm water, so I couldn't soak for long. It seemed like everyone was getting out quickly.

    I ate too much dinner.

    I had seen it in the reviews, but the dinner buffet was amazing. Not only was there a wide variety, but the taste and presentation were also excellent. It was the first time I saw a hot pot at a buffet, and there were three types. The bath was large, so I could relax, but it would have been even better if the amenities were more complete. The staff's response was also kind and pleasant.

    It was really great!

    The Facility was clean, the bath was spacious, the equipment was new, and the buffet was very well-stocked and excellent!! The best part was that the staff responded with a smile and were very courteous, which was great! It was a place I would recommend!

    The Onsen bath was spacious and pleasant. In the open-air bath, there were some guests with poor manners who lay on the rocks where the Onsen water flows out, causing the water to run over their bodies and into the open-air bath, which was unpleasant. It would be helpful to have measures to prevent people from lying on the rocks where the water flows out. The lock on the Room window was misaligned and could not be closed. This made it easy for insects to enter the Room, and pest control was necessary.

    This is my second stay. The service from the staff in charge of entertainment facilities such as karaoke and table tennis was excellent. The elderly woman in charge of meals also provided courteous service. Thank you very much. The meals were elaborate, like a la carte dishes, and they looked beautiful and were very good. The surface of the open-air bath in the large public bath was a bit disappointing. One concern is that the room for playing table tennis had no partitions, and the smell of cigarette smoke was so strong that I couldn't help but open the window. Since children also use the entertainment facilities, I would like to request a strict no-smoking policy, especially throughout the entire property. It was unpleasant due to the smell. The staff was very good, so please address this issue. Thank you.

    The buffet allowed us to eat as much as we liked, so we were satisfied with the delicious meals. The staff's response was also kind. It was unfortunate that we couldn't choose our meal time because they were fully booked. The hot springs had various types, including an open-air bath and sauna, which allowed us to relax, but my family and I felt that the water temperature was slightly lukewarm.

    A place I would like to stay again

    Considering the age of the building, it can't compete with the latest hotels, but it's comfortable as the common areas and other key spots have been well-maintained. The staff's cleaning and maintenance are thorough, truly befitting a long-established hotel. The food was excellent, and although it was a buffet, the menu was so abundant and delicious that I couldn't try everything I wanted. The hot springs were also very pleasant! In any case, this is definitely a place I would revisit.
