Returning for the first time in several years.
I made the mistake of thinking I had booked the same Room as before, not realizing it had been completely renovated, and only noticed after entering. I hadn’t read the description carefully enough. It was my first time using a daybed, but it felt modern, and I’m satisfied with it in its own way. As for the in-room bath, last time it rained and we got caught in the rain while using the open-air bath, but this time it felt easier to use than before. However, adjusting the temperature is still a bit tricky. The meals were just as satisfying as before in both portion size and taste. Last time, simmered golden eye snapper was served at the end when I was already very full, so I couldn’t finish it, but this time it was served midway through and I was able to eat everything. That said, the seasoning of the spiny lobster dish didn’t quite suit two elderly guests like us. It felt overly elaborate and seemed to mask the lobster’s natural flavor. For us, something simpler like sashimi or simply grilled would have been better. Our attendant was a foreign national and did their best to explain each dish clearly, which we appreciated; casual conversation might be difficult though. It seems that staffing shortages have reached Hotels as well. We were impressed that you greeted us right as we drove in upon arrival and saw us off at departure—service that remained just as attentive as last time. If we have another chance to visit Izu, we would like to stay with you again. Thank you very much.

This is my second stay.
Unfortunately, it rained on the day of our stay. Due to strong winds, the open-air bath on the 5th floor was unavailable. It was a bit disappointing, and I wondered if there could be any measures in place. The rotating baths were great. We also enjoyed being able to take our time with the meals. The Shuttle Service driver was very pleasant.

It was amazing!
We stayed here to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Our Room in the qoomo area on the 5th floor had a daybed, an open-air bath, and a balcony with a sofa, so we were able to relax and unwind the whole time. The amenities were well stocked, and there was also a coffee machine—perfect for a stay-in getaway. Although the station is close as the crow flies, you have to take a detour to get there, so it was very kind of them to provide a shuttle bus at any time except around lunchtime. The large public bath doesn’t have many washing stations, but it’s spacious and you can soak comfortably. We only tried the seasonal mandarin orange bath in the open-air area, but we couldn’t find a clock and didn’t know what time it was, so having even a small clock installed would feel reassuring. The rooftop footbath only fits about six people, so if it was full we either had to give up or wait on the terrace chairs. Unfortunately, the bar that opens only during full moons wasn’t open during our stay, but I’d love to try it if I get another chance. There’s a convenience store right in front of the property, but there are practically no other restaurants or shops nearby, so finding lunch can be quite difficult. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding—we enjoyed delicious seafood and mountain specialties until we were completely full. Considering what you get, it felt very reasonably priced. My partner was happy too, so we’d definitely like to stay again!

The Onsen was great.
We drove there as a family for a one-night, two-day stay. We stayed in a 4th-floor Room with an open-air bath, and both the view and the Onsen quality were excellent. The Onsens on the 1st and 2nd floors were also wonderful, with great variety—cypress, rock, and orange baths. We also went to the top-floor open-air bath, but it was raining and cold so we gave up after five minutes; without the rain, I think it would have been very satisfying. Dinner had many dishes and everything was delicious—especially the rice. If possible, it would be helpful to have towels available at the large public bath instead of having to bring them from the Room... There was also a billiards area, and it was fun for our family to try billiards for the first time. We’d love to visit again lol

The meals were very disappointing...
When visiting the Kawazu cherry blossoms, we stayed in a Qoomo Room because of its convenient access.\nThe Shuttle Service arrived quickly, which we really appreciated,\nbut it was disappointing that we had to carry our own luggage at a Ryokan of this class.\nThe Room itself was lovely, but the layout was inconvenient (the route from the open-air bath to the washbasin area),\nthere was no lighting in the open-air bath so it was very dark at night,\nand the daybed was hard and not comfortable to sleep on—overall, a bit disappointing. The most disappointing part was the food.\nWe have tried many kaiseki meals, but both the selection and seasoning made us wonder if it could really be called kaiseki.\nThe simmered kinmedai also tasted bland; the portion was so large that it felt unbalanced for two people.\nHaving soup, bouillabaisse, and another soup dish back-to-back felt repetitive; with hoba-yaki being grilled at the table, the smell lingered,\nand overall even the meat did not cook tenderly and remained tough.\nThe rice also tasted like it had been cooked in a rice cooker, and this was our first time not being able to finish it. Because we stayed during peak Kawazu cherry blossom season at a higher-than-average price, we were not satisfied overall and ended up disappointed with this trip.

The Onsen is amazing.
This was a three-generation trip with my mother, my daughter, and me. We were looking for a place that wasn’t too noisy and where we could relax. The Onsen options were varied, meals were served in a private dining room, and our Room was quiet—we couldn’t hear voices from the hallway—so we were able to unwind peacefully. The food was excellent, the staff were very pleasant, and my mother, who is nearly 80, was delighted. I’m glad we chose this place. Thank you very much.

Dinner: Golden Cuisine
The golden eye snapper was outstanding. The sauce wasn’t overly sweet, which was a plus. It was one plate for two, but it was quite large, so we were completely satisfied with just that.

The red lantern lighting was wonderful!
I traveled for the first time as friends with someone I’ve known for about 30 years. After arriving at Atagawa Station, we headed to strawberry picking. Someone from the farm came to pick us up and kindly drove us to the Hotel. It really felt like mutual support and kindness. Dinner was wonderful: the sashimi was glossy and beautifully fresh, and the simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) held its shape perfectly—so impressive it’s hard to describe any other way. The sweet-and-savory flavor was delicious, and I was truly moved. A professional touch. I usually don’t eat white rice at dinner, but the rice served was so good that I ended up eating far too much. The white rice at breakfast was just as good, and the gentle menu left me completely satisfied. Thank you for the wonderful meal. The rooftop bath has no privacy screen, so unless you use the clothing provided, it can feel a little unsettling. Bathing in an Onsen while wearing clothing is not something I’m used to. We used both of the large public baths with open-air baths on the 1st and 2nd floors (with men/women switching), twice each. Great water temperature, wonderfully moisturizing water—and in the early-morning open-air bath, we even saw a squirrel. We take Onsen trips about 5–6 times a year. As we get close to 60, yukata (including colored yukata) are not always comfortable; having samue provided would be more relaxing. Our Room had a daybed, but we hardly used it—I personally would have preferred a table and chairs instead. Those were my two small disappointments. The view from the terrace—steam rising from the hot springs, the sea, and red lanterns—was spectacular. It made me want to visit Atagawa Prince Hotel again.

Reasonably Priced Accommodation
There are no particular complaints, and this is a cost-effective accommodation that I would like to visit again. Despite the recent price increases at nearby accommodations, this place has maintained its reasonable pricing over the years, which is highly appreciated. The meals do not use expensive ingredients but are delicious, showcasing the high culinary skills of the chef.

The meals were excellent.
The room was on the 5th floor in the premium top-floor "Qoomo" zone, but it didn't feel particularly special. The size was decent, but it wasn't a two-room suite nor did it have an open-air bath. The facilities and cleanliness were excellent, making it a comfortable room to stay in. The Vietnamese staff member who guided us was very polite and kind. Above all, the meals were outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed them from New Year's Eve to New Year's morning. The food design was impressive. We also enjoyed the rooftop open-air bath as well as the large public baths on the 1st and 2nd floors. We would love to visit again!

We look forward to welcoming you again.
The staff were all wonderful. Thank you for your thoughtful care from check-in to check-out. I would love to visit again. Meals This time, it was a Plan without in-room dining, but the dining area was semi-private, creating a very pleasant atmosphere where I could enjoy my meal in peace. The meals were very hearty; although I couldn't finish everything, it was all delicious. Baths Due to unfortunate weather, I didn't use the rooftop bath, but the 2nd-floor bath was more than comfortable and extremely satisfying.

The simmered golden eye snapper was large and delicious. Meals were served in a private room, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. The Room's cypress bath was spacious, and bathing while enjoying the ocean view was very refreshing.

I would like to use it again.
Though the property is old, it is impeccably clean, and the hospitality from every staff member was wonderful, making for a very pleasant stay. The baths were so enjoyable that I used them multiple times. Among them, the open-air bath with panoramic views of the mountains and ocean was exceptional—especially under the moonlight or during sunrise. The meals were also a highlight, showcasing the chef's dedication with beautifully presented dishes that exuded delicacy and provided a truly blissful experience. There also seems to be a co-working space available, making it an ideal environment for getting some work done if needed.

Comfortable Onsen Hotel
We stayed as a couple in our 60s. The 5th-floor accommodation had an elegant and serene atmosphere. We enjoyed the view of the sea and Atagawa Onsen town while relaxing on the daybed. The large public bath, with plenty of washing areas, was never crowded even during the holiday period, allowing us to enjoy various types of baths. The rooftop open-air bath provided a luxurious experience both at night and in the morning as we had it all to ourselves. Meals served in a private room with a sense of grandeur were exceptional in both quality and quantity, offering great value for the price. In particular, the large kinmedai (golden eye snapper) was delicately cooked to perfection with an exquisite sauce that made it one of the best dishes we've ever had. The freshly cooked rice complemented it perfectly. However, we felt slightly disappointed that some dishes like lobster bouillabaisse and beef simmered with okara seemed overcooked; we would have preferred different preparation methods for these fine ingredients. All staff members were friendly and warm, making our stay very comfortable and pleasant.

Unexpectedly...
I made a sudden reservation and didn't check the details thoroughly, but both dinner and breakfast were well thought out and delicious. The simmered golden eye snapper was excellent. The morning rice cooked in the kiln was irreplaceable and wonderful. The indoor baths had plenty of tubs with warm water that heated the body well, which was satisfying. As for the rooftop open-air bath, it could use a bit more improvement.

Abundant hot water and perfect temperature.
The Onsen town itself was honestly quite quiet, but the Onsen was excellent. Highly recommended for those who want to relax peacefully away from the hustle and bustle.

Only questions remain.
The hotel offers many baths and a pool during this season, which made me excited to complete the reservation. However, upon arrival, I found out that I needed to bring the bath towels and towels (for each person) from the room to use at the pool or baths. After use, I had to take them myself to the front desk for an exchange of clean ones—an inconvenient process, especially with two small children. Even modern business hotels deliver fresh towels directly to your room... Also, despite the relatively high price, everything felt outdated. The sink was yellowed and unpleasant. Additionally, the staff's quality was so poor that it seemed like they needed proper training. At this price point, I will never return—and even if it were cheaper, I still wouldn’t go back.

We stayed here for our child's birthday trip. The Room, food, and Onsen were even more wonderful than the pictures, and our family of three was deeply impressed. However, there was one disappointing point... We had booked a Japanese-Western style room, but the futon was quite thin. Sleeping on it caused me to wake up with body pain. I assume this might be due to considerations for heat measures, but I would appreciate it if this could be improved. We look forward to visiting again next year! Thank you in advance!

The bath and meals were excellent.
The detailed explanation provided by the lady who guided us to our room was excellent. The cold tea offered as a welcome drink was very delicious. There were many baths, and the Onsen water was wonderful, leaving my skin smooth and soft. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in a private dining room, allowing us to have a pleasant time with just our family. The food was incredibly delicious. The simmered golden-eye snapper was exceptional. As for the open-air bath in the room, it is better not to use it at night when it's dark. There were insects, and it was pitch black outside with nothing visible. Daytime is recommended for enjoying it fully.

The Golden Course meal was excellent. The portions were generous, and I felt sorry for not being able to finish it all. The dining area was spacious, and having a private room to enjoy a quiet meal was delightful. The bath facilities, including the changing room and relaxation space, were also spacious and convenient to use. However, the air conditioning in the Hotel's hallways was weak, making it uncomfortably hot during summer.

Old Hotel
Good Points: - The Onsen was excellent, odorless, and clear. There were many outdoor baths, and it felt like my skin became smoother. - The meals were so plentiful that I couldn't finish them. - There was a pool, which made the children very happy. - The view from the room was quite nice. Bad Points: - The building is old, with cracks and peeling walls visible in various places. There was a strong sewage smell coming from the sink in the room's water heater area. - There were many insects; I got bitten during my stay, and my ankle swelled up significantly. - During our multiple night stay, the check-in explanation only covered the first day’s details; there was no information about baths or meals for the second day provided at all. - No guidance about the hotel bus schedule either; by the time we found out about it, we were told that its operation hours had already ended. - It felt very unkind overall. Therefore, with more negative points than positive ones, I would not recommend or use this accommodation again in the future.

The meals are absolutely delicious.
While the Facility may show its age, the exceptional quality of the meals more than makes up for it, making this Hotel highly satisfying. The dinner's "Simmered Splendid Alfonsino" was perfectly seasoned—not too sweet or salty—and truly delightful. The breakfast, themed "Mago wa Yasashii," lived up to its name with a well-balanced and delicious menu. The kiln-cooked rice was especially outstanding! This was my first stay here, but it has become a Hotel I would love to visit again. I am grateful to have discovered this Hotel.

Accommodation where solo travelers can enjoy their stay with peace of mind.
I visited for a solo trip seeking relaxation. Although I was the only passenger on the shuttle bus upon arrival and felt a bit self-conscious, the staff were incredibly friendly and courteous, which put me at ease. The front desk staff and restaurant team were also bright and attentive, leaving a positive impression. The meals exceeded my expectations; I especially enjoyed both the simmered and sashimi versions of kinmedai (golden eye snapper), which is synonymous with Izu. Dining in a private room allowed me to enjoy a quiet, luxurious time at my own pace—a big plus for solo travelers! Next time, I look forward to visiting on a full moon night when the rooftop bar is open to experience something extraordinary. Thank you very much!

Is the facility a bit outdated?
Overall, it was an enjoyable and relaxing two days. However, voices from the hallway could be heard inside the Room, and the shower water in the large public bath became lukewarm at times. The Facility felt a bit dated. That said, the staff's kind hospitality was very comforting. The meals were excellent and absolutely perfect. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance.
