    Used for temporary return trips

    This was my first time using this accommodation. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and I had a pleasant stay. I stayed in the Yuragi Japanese-style room, but one concern was that the window glass showed noticeable smudges when sunlight hit it. Since the room is new and clean, this stood out more. It might be good to reconsider the cleaning methods. I also used the private bath service, which I thought was a great system; however, having to go back and forth from the Yuragi room to the front desk to get the key could be improved from a user perspective for better convenience. As for breakfast, although it may have been due to my late timing, there were some missing dishes which was slightly disappointing. Despite these minor concerns, overall I had an enjoyable time and would love to stay again!

    It was very good.

    - Location I think it's a great location, just a 10-minute walk away. - Check-in I wanted to try some street food before checking in, so I left my suitcase and checked in an hour later. The check-in area was crowded with other guests, but there were many staff members, so the process was completed quickly. The explanation of the Facility was a bit difficult to understand, but there was an easy-to-understand map, so it was not a problem. - Souvenir Shop I thought the sake was a bit cheaper at the souvenir shop outside the Hotel. The selection was abundant, and I could shop at my leisure. - Private Bath The time flew by, but the water temperature, the hot water, and the view were all excellent. - Guest Room The view was also great. Right after entering the room, the neighbors must have just entered their room too. It was noisy for just a few minutes, so I thought the walls were thin and decided to be careful about noise. I think this is something that can't be helped. - Dinner I was able to enjoy local specialties like meat sushi, pork miso on magnolia leaves, and Keichan, which was wonderful. I also got to drink local Gero beer, which was fantastic. The white rice was delicious, and I was happy. The explanation of the dishes was difficult to understand, but there was a menu, so it was not a problem. - Large Public Bath ~ Open-air Bath The hot water, temperature, and view were all excellent. The tatami-floored stairway leading to the open-air bath was cold. I think it's difficult, but if there were measures against heat shock, it would be perfect. - Breakfast Everything at the buffet was delicious. The glasses were small, so I had to refill my orange juice several times. - Check-out I was happy that they called a free taxi for me.

    About the Room

    The room on the mountain side only has a view of the parking lot, and the room's washroom and bath are extremely old and dirty. I've never seen such a Facility before. I was surprised. We received various explanations at check-in, but they were too fast to understand. The Onsen and meals were good. I never want to stay in that room again.

    It was a good year-end trip.

    We stayed in a general room at Keikansou with the "Leave the Room to Us" Plan. As expected from a long-established property, the facilities were scattered around, and it was necessary to transfer elevators, but it was fun to explore with the family. The room's bath (toilet) was a bit old, but since we only used the large public bath, it didn't bother us much. We were very satisfied with the variety of baths, including the tatami-mat bath, open-air bath, and carbonated spring, which we leisurely enjoyed. The buri shabu for dinner was particularly delicious. Breakfast also had a wide variety of menu options, and we had a great time until the end. Thank you very much. There were many foreign staff members, and I was impressed by their earnest work using difficult Japanese. Thank you for your hard work.

    Relaxing Moments

    Thank you for your hospitality. The meat was delicious. Unfortunately, there are two things that concern me: the entrance door lock and the living room table, which is full of scratches, as well as the stains on the floor. The old chair in the elevator was also an issue. Other than that, everything was good.

    I was very satisfied!

    I used it for a maternity trip! We had Hida beef sukiyaki for dinner, and it was very delicious! The volume was also satisfying. There were many foreign staff, but everyone was kind and nice. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a room along the river, but it was spacious and comfortable enough. However, the bathtub in the room is somehow at the foot, so I'm just worried about slipping. The large public bath was also spacious, and the tatami bath was rare, so I tried all the baths! The only downside is that the open-air bath seems to be completely visible from outside. Everything else was great, and I would like to stay again! Thank you very much!!

    Tatami Bath

    The tatami bath was great as I didn't have to worry about my feet. We also enjoyed the baths, including the open-air bath, on a rotating basis. The food was delicious, and the staff responded politely. Thank you very much!! The stairs to the open-air bath might be a bit challenging for the elderly.

    I was able to relax.

    The shabu-shabu for dinner and the dobin-mushi were also delicious. The timing of the service was good, and we enjoyed our meal. Since I am not good with hot baths, it was nice to have it a little lukewarm so I could take my time. Both the bath and the Room were clean, and I had a pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

    This class is difficult.

    The hospitality was really good. It was heartfelt, and I was able to stay in a good mood. However, the meal content was not great. It was all about Hida beef, but there was no chef's touch, just grilling or shabu-shabu without any creativity. Brand beef is delicious anywhere, so it was a bit disappointing. The hot spring was just ordinary water. When I think of Gero, I imagine silky smooth water, but it was just a regular, clear hot spring. The room was also ordinary. The bathroom in the room was spacious, and the view was nice. However, accommodations of this class are really difficult. They cater to the masses but also want to be high-end, so they end up being mediocre. It's a Japanese-style room, but I think a sofa would be more comfortable and better. In Gero, there are many floor chairs. I wish they would learn from other hot spring areas. Nowadays, high-end inns don't have floor chairs (laughs). It feels like they charge about 80,000 yen for something that would be around 50,000 yen for two people at other places. I can't highly recommend it, but given the good location in Gero, Ogawaya might be an option.
