  I learned about Shibu Onsen from a magazine and wanted to visit Togakushi Shrine, so I decided to go since it was only an hour's drive from the shrine. While searching for a good place to stay, I came across Sakaeya, which had high ratings in reviews, and decided to give it a try. As mentioned in everyone's posts, I was very pleased with the warmth of the staff, the delicious food and drinks, and the indescribable atmosphere of the Shibu Onsen hot spring town. We were offered an upgrade to a room with an open-air bath at the last minute. Although I thought a regular room would be sufficient since there were public baths and an outdoor bath tour, we decided to take the offer, and it turned out to be a perfect match for us, who love hot springs. We repeatedly enjoyed the outdoor baths, the public baths, and the bath in our room, which helped alleviate the pain in my ankle. The climate, heat, and humidity were all mild, making it refreshing and perfect. This is an inn I would definitely like to visit again. In about a month, I think the cold winter will gradually set in, so please take care of yourself. Thank you very much.

We are very pleased to hear that you found our hot springs to be very suitable. Our hot springs are a unique blend of two different types of hot springs, not found in the public baths of Shibu Onsen.   I went to Nagano to ...

  I went to Nagano to attend a lecture and stayed at Shibu Onsen this time. I was very satisfied with the townscape and the hot springs, and I would definitely recommend it to friends who love hot springs. The hotel was also large and satisfactory, but it seems there are various types of rooms, making the pricing structure difficult to understand. The food and service were very good, but the only disappointment was that despite having mentioned via email that I am not fond of chicken, it was mistakenly served to me.

  Thank you very much for choosing to stay at Shunran no Yado Sakaeya the other day. We sincerely apologize for mistakenly serving you chicken despite being informed of your aversion to it. As it was served in a dobin mushi, it was difficult to see inside, and although we had placed a sticky note, it was removed too early. We will change our procedure to remove it just before serving in the future. We are truly sorry for this mistake. We also apologize for the confusion regarding the room types and rates. Our rates are generally a combination of the room and the plan (four basic types). We will consider ways to make this clearer. We sincerely appreciate your valuable feedback.
