    It was very comfortable.

    Directly connected to Shinsaibashi Station, so access was excellent. Since Shinsaibashi is located between Umeda and Namba, it felt a bit less crowded. There is a supermarket in the Hotel basement, and Daimaru Department Store is also nearby, so we could buy food and eat in our Room. The guest lounge was quiet and very relaxing. The staff were all courteous and made us feel very welcome. Thank you very much.

    First, aim for a passing score.

    A new Hotel has opened in Osaka, Shinsaibashi Quartz, on the site where the Louis Vuitton flagship store used to be. I had business nearby, so I stayed one night as a trial. Direct access from Shinsaibashi Station on the Midosuji Line leads into the building basement; from there, you can take the elevator straight up to the lobby on the 26th floor. With few high-rise buildings around, the views are wide open and very refreshing. To reach the guest rooms, you transfer elevators and go down to a lower floor. The room was a standard twin, but it didn’t feel cramped. Even though it’s standard, I was surprised to find two sinks in the vanity area. Amenities were typical; two bottles of mineral water were provided, and the refrigerator was empty. Coffee was via a Nescafé Barista machine, and there was also an electric kettle along with black tea and Japanese tea. One question: why are there cups but no saucers? The beds were two singles. The bathroom had a separate washing area; the tub was deep but compact—an easy-to-use size for Asian guests, though it may feel tight for Western guests. Breakfast felt far more substantial than you’d expect for this class of Hotel—perhaps because they operate “Fufu” within their group as well. I chose the “Fukumusubi Japanese Set.” The freshly cooked rice in a clay pot was excellent, and finishing with their special curry over rice is highly recommended. Convenience, value for money, and food quality all met expectations. I didn’t use them this time, but the rooftop bar and terrace on the top floor also look appealing. I’ll be happy to stay again next time.

    We’ll definitely come again.

    It was the monthly memorial day for my husband. My heart was healed. The breakfast curry had Japanese pepper in it, and I was moved by the flavor—it was my first time tasting something like that. The bath was wonderful.

    Choosing The Gate Hotel for our stay in Osaka was truly the best decision—no question about it. There’s absolutely no need to worry about any issues that can come with a newly opened property or inexperienced staff. Everyone provides wonderfully warm and flawless hospitality! It was only one night, but it added the perfect touch to our wedding anniversary trip, and we’re sincerely grateful. We truly hope to stay here again the next time we visit Osaka.

    We had a very comfortable stay.

    As a fan of Gate Hotel, I extended my Kyoto trip to stay at the new location in Osaka. The location was excellent, and I also enjoyed the great views, making it a very pleasant stay. One of the highlights at Gate Hotel is the local breakfast, and it was delicious as well. I often travel solo, so it was nice to be able to chat casually with the staff. I would definitely like to stay here again.

    Thank you very much.

    Given the location, it was understandable, but with the heavy rain it was a bit inconvenient that there was no Hotel parking, and the elevator at the Hotel entrance was slightly hard to find; aside from that, it was a wonderful Hotel. The top-floor rooftop lounge had a great atmosphere, and the Japanese breakfast was delicious—we were very satisfied. All of the staff were also very pleasant; although some operations were still new since it had just opened, they did their best to assist us. We would like to stay again soon.

    The location and the view are both excellent.

    It was only a one-night stay, but it was a truly wonderful Hotel. From the spacious lobby, you can see the cityscape of Osaka and the mountains—an expansive view you never get tired of. Thank you for arranging our Room on a high floor as requested. The Room was also clean and well maintained, and just like the lobby, it offered an amazing view. The night scenery was beautiful as well. The staff were kind, and I’m glad we chose this Hotel. When I visit Osaka again, I would definitely like to stay at this Hotel again.

    The view is spectacular.

    The views from the lobby, breakfast venue, and lounge were wonderful. I had made a few requests before my stay, and everything was prepared as requested. Even the wine cooler was set up with crushed ice already inside, which was very helpful because I could chill my drinks right away. Breakfast at this Hotel doesn’t have a huge variety, but you can really tell everything is carefully prepared. The staff were also very considerate—during breakfast and when using the lounge, they recommended seats and cleared plates at just the right time, showing they were truly thinking from the guest’s perspective. I had a great time and will stay again.

    Simply outstanding!

    I stayed for four nights right after the opening during a long business trip to Osaka, and it was simply outstanding! In the middle of an intense work trip from morning to night, I was looking forward to switching Hotels three times. When I found out this Hotel was opening right then—and since I had previously stayed at The Gate Hotel along the Takase River in Kyoto—I was even more excited. It was originally a three-night stay, but I decided to extend my trip and didn’t hesitate to add extra nights at The Gate Hotel. The Room was more than spacious enough for a business trip, with refined interiors, a luxurious front desk area, a wonderful restaurant space, and a guest lounge—so much so that it made me want to come back for leisure rather than work. The views from the Room, restaurant, and lounge were also fantastic. When I returned to my Room, I intentionally raised the blinds to enjoy the night view. The overhead shower—and having a chair and wash basin provided—was also very convenient. I became hooked on the medicinal breakfast soup. On my final day, the French toast was delicious. The fact that they use Bordier butter even reminded me of Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris. All of the staff were kind as well. Coming back late at night for an iced coffee in the lounge—and starting mornings with that medicinal soup—was truly soothing. I definitely want to stay again! Even compared with international luxury Hotels, it feels like excellent value for money.

    I stayed here on the opening day.

    I stayed on your opening day. The GATE Hotel is one of my favorite hotels, so I was really looking forward to it. Since it was the first day, the staff seemed a bit inexperienced and nervous. I usually love breakfast at this hotel, and this time I had the “Fukumusubi” Japanese set meal (available only to guests) in the dedicated lounge. However, there was one very disappointing moment. As I was about to leave after finishing my meal, someone stopped me and told me that coffee was available after the meal. By then I didn’t have time, so I declined. During the meal I wanted iced coffee, but since it wasn’t listed on the menu, I assumed it wasn’t available. It would be normal to inform guests during the meal that coffee will be served afterward. I was disappointed that I was told only after standing up and already leaving. I understand this may have been due to it being a new opening and the staff being new on their first day, but please share this feedback with the restaurant so other guests won’t feel disappointed. The breakfast itself was excellent and delicious, and my Room was upgraded as well, so I could relax comfortably in a spacious Room.
