Enjoy breathtaking views all to yourself from Shinsaibashi.

A highly rated Gate Hotel, well known in Kyoto and other cities. I stayed here because it has been creating a buzz as a newly opened Hotel right in the heart of Osaka. The view from the high-floor lobby is exceptional and instantly lifts your spirits from check-in. At the top-floor lounge, which all guests can use, you can enjoy breathtaking scenery along with carefully brewed coffee or tea prepared cup by cup. With so many lounges being self-service these days, the attentive service here felt truly comfortable. Breakfast is served in separate venues for Japanese and Western options; this time I chose the Japanese breakfast in the lounge. It was very filling and offered a highly satisfying selection. The Room features a smart layout and stylish interior, and the spectacular view from the window is soothing. This Hotel is perfectly located to enjoy beautiful views of Osaka’s cityscape from many different spots. The staff’s hospitality was outstanding—highly recommended!

    It was excellent.

I stayed here with my daughter for a relaxing hotel getaway. I had high expectations because of the great reviews and because it’s a newly opened Gate Hotel, and it exceeded them. The view from the lobby on the 26th floor of the sparkling new building in Shinsaibashi was breathtaking, and the views from our Room and the lounge were excellent as well. The furniture and Room design were also wonderful. The Hotel staff were pleasant and welcoming at check-in, at the bar, and in the lounge. We only had breakfast, choosing Japanese breakfast in the lounge, and it was truly delicious—we were very satisfied. The lounge available to all guests was spacious and never felt crowded, so every visit felt elegant and relaxing. The night view from the lounge was also beautiful. The entire building where the Hotel is located has many great shops and restaurants, so even on a very hot midsummer day we could enjoy ourselves without going out much. If I have another chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

Thank you to all our staff.

My daughter fell ill, but the staff were very considerate and supportive, which was a great help. Thank you very much. Of course, the Facility was new and clean, and we were able to relax in the lounge as well. The bar in the evening had a lovely atmosphere, and we truly enjoyed a leisurely Hotel stay.

    Escape the everyday and recharge.

The lobby is on the 26th floor and is wonderful with its large windows. The Room also had a great view. There are two sinks, and bath salts are provided, but there are no cleansing products (makeup remover, etc.). I happened to have some from another Hotel in my pouch, but I’d like this to be clearly stated. The lounge is on the 28th floor and is quiet, so you can relax with soft drinks and snacks. I also enjoyed the Diamond benefit sparkling wine at a separate sky terrace. The northern night view is gorgeous, but it was hot and noisy this time, so the lounge felt more spacious and relaxing. There’s a small grocery store on the 1st floor, so even with No Meals Included it’s more than enough. For breakfast, I chose the Japanese set in the lounge because it had good Reviews, but it wasn’t as good as I expected. The rolled omelet and rice cooked in a clay pot were delicious, but instead of simmered pork belly in the morning, I would prefer lighter dishes. For fish, I prefer grilled with salt rather than Saikyo miso. You can choose the buffet as well. It was also disappointing that the miso soup was lukewarm. This time I was able to stay at a great price by using a coupon.

    Excellent

It was excellent. I think it’s among the best in Osaka. At the Western-style breakfast venue in the morning, I couldn’t find where the salad was at first, so I think some guidance is needed.

    There is nothing unpleasant.

I have no complaints. I think it’s a wonderful Hotel. I was very impressed with how our requests were handled and with the guidance from check-in to the elevator. The location, security, and view were all excellent—I was very satisfied. From now on, I think this is the only Hotel I’ll stay at in Osaka.

    A Cozy Hotel

The view from the lobby and the Room was wonderful. It was convenient with direct access to the subway. I was surprised that the Room pajamas did not have a front opening. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    About the Front Desk Staff

As the Hotel has only recently opened, the front desk service felt unpolished. Even while I was checking in, staff were chatting among themselves, which was unpleasant, and there was no explanation or service regarding Diamond member benefits. Since the Hotel is directly connected to Shinsaibashi Station, has an excellent location, and offers beautiful night views, I may stay again. I hope the front desk staff will be better trained by my next visit.

The front desk service is slow.

The front desk service is slow. Perhaps because there are many international tourists, each guest takes a long time, and the response is far too slow.

Excellent location! Amazing Japanese breakfast! Disappointing pajamas...

I had high expectations after hearing a new Hotel had opened in Shinsaibashi, and I was able to stay for one night at a great rate through IKYU. We also enjoyed the perks—sparkling wine, chocolates, and late check-out—which made for a very relaxing stay. The direct access to the station was incredibly convenient, right in the heart of Shinsaibashi, and the view from the 26th-floor lobby was amazing. What was disappointing was that our west-facing Room got intense afternoon sun, so we ended up keeping the shades down from check-in until evening. Also, noise from cars—especially loud vehicles at night coming from the Midosuji Line area—echoed more than expected and bothered us. Most disappointing of all: there was only one pajama size available. It was far too small for my husband (he is not overweight and normally wears men’s size L). Since it’s an over-the-head style rather than front-opening, he couldn’t even put it on (we quickly bought one nearby at UNIQLO). Even for me (162 cm tall and usually wearing women’s size M), it didn’t feel particularly roomy. (I confirmed with the front desk just in case, but they said there is only one size for all.) I saw a Review posted soon after opening recommending the Japanese breakfast, so I chose it without hesitation—and thanks to that helpful Review, it did not disappoint. Freshly cooked rice; freshly rolled dashimaki tamago; freshly grilled black cod; Osaka-style niku-sui with tofu; and many other delicious items in small portions. Thank you for such a pleasant morning on the 28th floor with its great views through floor-to-ceiling windows. The coffee cup was so large that I was shocked by how much coffee it held! I felt bad about it, but I ended up leaving quite a lot. It felt wasteful—I wish there were an option to choose cup size. Lastly, checking out directly from the Room went smoothly and was very helpful.

    This is the best Hotel.

I’ve been staying at newly opened Hotels one after another to enjoy a break from everyday life, and among them, this Hotel is truly top-class. Although the price is relatively affordable, it provided a wonderfully relaxing space. I booked a Plan with breakfast, and it may well be the best Japanese breakfast. Freshly cooked rice, freshly made rolled omelet, and freshly grilled Saikyo-yaki—everything was delicious, and the wide variety of dishes was impressive. I want to recommend it to everyone.

    Highly satisfied

In any case, the service and attentiveness of all Hotel staff were outstanding. The Facility and location were also excellent. I chose the Japanese breakfast, and it was truly delicious with a very generous portion. The breakfast staff also provided wonderfully thoughtful service, and I was completely satisfied. I’ve already made my next Reservation. Thank you very much.

    Excellent value for money.

I’m happy that such a wonderful Hotel has opened in Shinsaibashi, where I often go shopping. It will be very convenient when friends visit from out of town as well. Including the restaurant, all the staff were smiling, greeted us warmly, and were very kind—everything was excellent. Thank you.

    Beautiful, efficient, modern interior

I became a fan of The Gate Hotel in Kyoto, so I stayed here in Osaka as well. The location is, of course, excellent. Every Room offers a wonderful view. The interior is clean and efficiently designed. Details like the side tables use eco-friendly materials, giving it a modern feel throughout. Breakfast was delicious across the board, and I was very satisfied. I will stay again.

The staff were very kind and left a great impression. The Room was a 110 m² suite, so it was spacious, but the quality of the walls and finishes felt a bit below standard. A refrigerator was provided, along with complimentary service of three bottles of wine. The location in Shinsaibashi was convenient for getting anywhere. I also included photos of what I ate in the lounge.

It was a modern, cutting-edge, and comfortable Hotel in a prime location in Osaka.

Your Hotel is the coolest high-rise building in Shinsaibashi. I really enjoyed using the lounge—it felt modern yet relaxing, and I think I’ll be staying at your Hotel more often when I come to Osaka. I came from Shiga Prefecture.

    Newly opened, so it’s clean.

Perhaps because it has only just opened, it felt a bit inconsistent, as if the concept and target guests have not yet been clearly defined. I had various impressions, but I will mention just one. The direct connection to the subway station was the main reason I chose this Accommodation, but the elevator location was very hard to find. It would be helpful to add clearer signage or provide more detailed directions in the access section on booking sites.

    Shinsaibashi Hotel

The Hotel had only recently opened and was truly spotless. We stayed in the smallest Room, but it had a closet, and the layout—such as the placement of the sink—was excellent with no wasted movement. I did accidentally use the wrong lever for the rain shower and got soaked a few times, though... For breakfast, we chose Japanese cuisine on the top floor. It was relaxing and very enjoyable. I had planned to stay two nights with my daughter, but she couldn’t make it back from her business trip, so it ended up being just one night with my husband at short notice. We will definitely stay here again.

    Wonderful.

I stayed on the second day after opening. I assumed the operations might still be unfamiliar and tried not to expect too much, but that worry was unnecessary. The guest room is a bit small, but it wasn’t inconvenient. The restaurant and lounge were both wonderful—pleasant service and great views everywhere. It made me feel that if I were to stay one night at The Ritz-Carlton, I’d rather spend three nights at this Hotel instead. In particular, the freshly cooked rice at breakfast was outstanding, and there were Osaka-specific dishes as well—I was beyond satisfied. Even when dining alone at the restaurant, I was very pleased with the attentive yet perfectly balanced service. I will stay again in two months. Whenever I come to Osaka, this will be my regular Accommodation.

The service was excellent. I’d like to stay again.

This was my second stay. The Hotel is in an excellent Shinsaibashi location, with shopping and dining within walking distance. The Room was clean and thoughtfully designed, and the amenities were well stocked—its newness makes it especially comfortable. This time, the Room I was shown at check-in had a stale, sweaty odor trapped inside, so I asked the front desk to change Rooms. The staff member who assisted me handled it very politely. Although Rooms of the same grade were fully booked, they went out of their way to upgrade me to a higher-grade Room. Later, the manager even came in person to offer a courteous greeting, which left a strong impression. A Hotel’s true service shows when issues arise, and here—from the staff to the manager—everyone responded sincerely and professionally. When I visit Shinsaibashi again, I will definitely choose this Hotel.

This was my second stay since the opening day. I had a great experience on opening day, so I decided to stay again. This time, there were many international guests. I arrived around 2:30 p.m. and headed to my Room, but it seemed that the area in front was a linen room, with a housekeeping cart left there. I understand it may have been unavoidable given the time, but it remained there until around 4:00 p.m., and each time I entered my Room I ended up seeing the linen room left open. I was also concerned about an odor in the hallway after getting off the elevator. The breakfast is delicious, so I will visit again (unfortunately, I forgot the chocolate provided for Diamond members).

    Perfect for special occasions

We stayed here for a special anniversary trip. Not only did they fulfill the requests we made at the time of our Reservation, but they also showed thoughtful care throughout our stay, making it a truly memorable experience. The Hotel has new Facilities, and the Room was very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent as well—convenient for sightseeing, dining, and shopping—so getting around during our stay was never an issue. We would love to stay here again.

A new Hotel with excellent service

It was my first time staying at a Hulic Hotel, and everything was well organized. The bed was very comfortable. Daimaru is right in front, which is very convenient. There are also popular restaurants and cafes on the lower floors of the Hotel building, which was handy.

    A lot has happened, but…

Because the Room air conditioning was not working properly, we were moved to another Room. In the new Room, the room key did not work properly (an issue with the card), but the staff handled everything so wonderfully that it didn’t leave us with any negative feelings. The restaurant staff were also very courteous, and overall we felt this is a Hotel with truly excellent people. For breakfast, we had the Japanese set meal. There was quite a lot of food, and since we don’t eat much, we felt sorry for leaving some. I believe it has only been about a month since opening, but the operations are very well run. We would love to visit again.

    It was very comfortable.

Directly connected to Shinsaibashi Station, so access was excellent. Since Shinsaibashi is located between Umeda and Namba, it felt a bit less crowded. There is a supermarket in the Hotel basement, and Daimaru Department Store is also nearby, so we could buy food and eat in our Room. The guest lounge was quiet and very relaxing. The staff were all courteous and made us feel very welcome. Thank you very much.

First, aim for a passing score.

A new Hotel has opened in Osaka, Shinsaibashi Quartz, on the site where the Louis Vuitton flagship store used to be. I had business nearby, so I stayed one night as a trial. Direct access from Shinsaibashi Station on the Midosuji Line leads into the building basement; from there, you can take the elevator straight up to the lobby on the 26th floor. With few high-rise buildings around, the views are wide open and very refreshing. To reach the guest rooms, you transfer elevators and go down to a lower floor. The room was a standard twin, but it didn’t feel cramped. Even though it’s standard, I was surprised to find two sinks in the vanity area. Amenities were typical; two bottles of mineral water were provided, and the refrigerator was empty. Coffee was via a Nescafé Barista machine, and there was also an electric kettle along with black tea and Japanese tea. One question: why are there cups but no saucers? The beds were two singles. The bathroom had a separate washing area; the tub was deep but compact—an easy-to-use size for Asian guests, though it may feel tight for Western guests. Breakfast felt far more substantial than you’d expect for this class of Hotel—perhaps because they operate “Fufu” within their group as well. I chose the “Fukumusubi Japanese Set.” The freshly cooked rice in a clay pot was excellent, and finishing with their special curry over rice is highly recommended. Convenience, value for money, and food quality all met expectations. I didn’t use them this time, but the rooftop bar and terrace on the top floor also look appealing. I’ll be happy to stay again next time.

    We’ll definitely come again.

It was the monthly memorial day for my husband. My heart was healed. The breakfast curry had Japanese pepper in it, and I was moved by the flavor—it was my first time tasting something like that. The bath was wonderful.

Thank you for helping make our special anniversary truly memorable.

Choosing The Gate Hotel for our stay in Osaka was truly the best decision—no question about it. There’s absolutely no need to worry about any issues that can come with a newly opened property or inexperienced staff. Everyone provides wonderfully warm and flawless hospitality! It was only one night, but it added the perfect touch to our wedding anniversary trip, and we’re sincerely grateful. We truly hope to stay here again the next time we visit Osaka.
