It may be unavoidable since it’s new.
During mealtimes, the staff were extremely busy and seemed overwhelmed. However, I felt it may not be suitable for guests who want a quiet dining experience. It honestly felt like eating at an izakaya. The staff also made mistakes with orders, and even while we were still eating, they said things like, “Please leave this much and we’ll bring the next dish,” but then at other times it took a very long time for food to be served even after they said they would bring it. To be honest, it was stressful. I wondered if this can happen even within the Kato Pleasure Group, or if it’s just because the property is new.

Hehe.
Following our stay in Hakone, we stayed at this Accommodation on Jogashima this time. The facilities were flawless, but I wondered whether it is part of Fufu’s concept for families with children to run around energetically in the lounge and at dinner. The staff also seemed very strictly manual-driven, and it may be unfair to compare it with Suishoen, which is in the same group. Perhaps my expectations were off, as I had imagined Fufu as an adults-only hideaway. The Room, bath, and the 4th-floor lounge were wonderful.

With Keikyu’s long-s...
With Keikyu’s long-standing ownership, this property enjoys an exceptional location that would be impossible to secure today, along with outstanding views. The food was also delicious, and we were very satisfied. There aren’t many nearby restaurants where you can make a Reservation, so finding a place for lunch may be a bit difficult. As we’re older, we’d rather not wait in long lines.

I was able to visit my favorite Fufu on its opening day.
I visited on the opening day. I’ve stayed at Fufu several times and love it, so I was really looking forward to this trip. Before and after my stay, I enjoyed walking along the rocky shore right in front of the Accommodation. I also got to play with the cats. After check-in, I first went to the rooftop lounge. Sitting on the outdoor sofa and enjoying free-flow drinks while taking in the spectacular panoramic view through the glass was amazing. The sea, the rocks, and Mt. Fuji were all beautiful. Among Fufu properties, Kawaguchiko has been my favorite, so this felt like a complete contrast. The Room, floors, and interiors featured many ocean-inspired designs and were very stylish. There was also a space in the bath area to place drinks. Dinner and breakfast were a seafood feast. The sashimi platter in particular was beautifully presented. It was wonderful to have Misaki tuna at both dinner and breakfast. The main dish is selectable, so you can choose what you like. I enjoyed it with a sake pairing as well. The clams and strawberries at breakfast were impressively large. The salad and curry also had plenty of seafood. It was my first time trying purple carrot juice—it was sweet and delicious. One small disappointment was that the white rice at breakfast came quite late—after I had already finished more than half of the set meal dishes. Overall, though, all of the staff who assisted me were kind and left a great impression—it was an excellent stay.
