    Thank you very much for your hospitality. My mother and I stayed with you three times over the past five months—in November, January, and again this April. We truly appreciate your kindness every time. The meals, both Western and Japanese, are delicious and beautifully presented, and we enjoy them very much. This is our favorite Hotel, and we will visit again.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    The meals, bath, Room, and overall atmosphere were all wonderful. Although this was a last-minute Reservation, everyone at the Hotel was truly kind and welcoming, which made us very happy. We also really appreciated the delicious onigiri bento prepared for us to take on our way home. Next time, we would like to stay for two nights and enjoy a more relaxing visit.

    Enjoy a Solo Trip

    I changed my plans for two nights in Tokyo and took the Shinkansen to Fukushima. After reading the Reviews, I just had to visit. Even during our email exchange beforehand, your courteous replies made me feel very reassured. Thank you as well for the Shuttle Service to Fukushima Station. The property was wonderful, and the Room was spotless and very clean. I immediately called my family and showed them—by video call—the open-air bath on the balcony and the view, and they were thrilled. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be during autumn foliage season or with a snowy open-air bath view. Dinner was served in a private dining room, which gave it a truly private feel. Everything was delicious, but the nikusui was exceptional—I’d love to try it someday from a big pot. The only disappointment was that I overindulged in Tokyo the day before and didn’t feel well until morning, so I had to Cancel breakfast at short notice—and I still regret that. Even so, you kindly prepared a bento with gentle-on-the-stomach rice balls instead, which meant so much to me. I enjoyed it later. Because of my flight schedule, I left the Ryokan early on departure day, but the owner drove me to the station and shared stories about your Ryokan and affiliated Hotel properties. He also gave me helpful tips—such as being able to discuss meal requests when making a Reservation through your official website. This time I stayed for one night, but I truly enjoyed traveling solo. Next time, I’d like to bring my family and stay for two nights. Thank you very much to all of your staff for taking such great care of me.

    Wonderful Onsen

    The Onsen was wonderful. It had a gentle sulfur scent, but not so strong that it lingered after bathing. The water is alkaline with a smooth feel on the skin, and it warmed me through to the core. Both the open-air bath in the Room and the large public bath have no circulation equipment—pure free-flowing luxury. The towels after bathing were clean and fluffy as well. With modern Facility throughout, I fully enjoyed an Onsen-focused stay. Everyone who assisted us during our stay was warm and welcoming, and their hospitality truly came through. For meals, after much deliberation we chose Japanese dinner and Western breakfast. Both were original and delicious. As for the Japanese meal, overall it felt slightly sweet to me. The beef Yoshino-style suited the sweetness well, but the chawanmushi and ochazuke tasted overly sweet. I was disappointed that the spring menu item shown on the website—wild sea bream and king crab—was not included in this course. The Western breakfast—including croissants and French toast—was also delicious and quite filling. This Accommodation lived up to its high Review ratings, and I would love to visit again.

    Fully enjoy your stay.

    As the Hotel title suggests, this is a wonderful Hotel experience for adults. The meals, the staff service, and the bath were all excellent. I have stayed at many Hotels across The whole country, and this one ranks among the best. The portion sizes were just right, and everything was delicious. I will visit again. Thank you very much.

    A Stay Surrounded by Warm, Thoughtful Hospitality

    We stayed for three nights. From the warm welcome on the first day to the kind send-off on the last, this was a wonderful Accommodation where we felt genuine hospitality throughout. At dinner, we asked for advice about our plans for the next day, and you kindly shared detailed local information. The next morning, you even remembered our conversation from the day before and naturally continued it, which made us very happy and allowed us to spend a truly relaxing time. Including when we called the front desk, every staff member was outstanding—it was impressive how attentive this Accommodation is. The meals were delicious every day, and we enjoyed them very much. We chose Japanese cuisine all three days, and each meal featured different ingredients and dishes, making it highly satisfying. Thanks to everyone, we had an unforgettable four days. We sincerely appreciate everything. Thank you very much.

    A modern, luxurious Accommodation

    Set amid the nostalgic streetscape of Tsuchiyu Onsen, this is a modern and stylish Accommodation. The staff who greeted us at the parking lot and the lobby adorned with beautiful kumiko woodwork made it an unexpectedly refined space—luxurious and elegant enough to make you forget everyday life the moment you step inside. After taking a breather in the lobby, we were shown to our Room, which was spacious, with a large open-air bath fed by free-flowing natural hot spring water that carried a faint sulfur scent—perfect for relaxing at length. The public bath also had a generously sized auto-löyly sauna. With the all-inclusive Plan, everything in the in-room refrigerator was free. When I asked for another beer after having one, it had been replenished while I was at the public bath—hospitality at its best. For dinner we chose Japanese cuisine, served course by course in a calm private dining room. The “Fukushima beef meat soup” was especially outstanding! At breakfast, the rice was so delicious I went back for seconds. We checked out at an unhurried pace, and even received a “souvenir”—ume-and-kombu onigiri and tamagoyaki! It was wonderful hospitality from start to finish. A truly memorable Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

    I was able to enjoy ...

    I was able to enjoy a quiet stay without running into the noisy foreign tourists I usually try to avoid. The interior with kumiko woodwork and the Tendo Mokko chairs were truly wonderful. I also enjoyed the French dinner. I’d like to visit again.

    My husband chose this Accommodation for my birthday, and we stayed here.

    I often look for Accommodations with an open-air bath in the Room, and I chose this place almost by chance because it simply looked nice—but my spouse and I both love rivers, and being able to enjoy a snowy-view bath while looking out at the river was absolutely amazing. Maybe because we stayed on a weekday (Thursday), we happened to be the only guests. At first I felt bad about that, but thanks to the incredible hospitality of the staff, that feeling quickly disappeared, and we were able to spend a truly wonderful birthday. Some notes: - The Onsen water is quite strong and very hot, but in the in-room bath you can dilute it with cold water for a while and then soak slowly and comfortably. - The Room was spotless down to every detail, making our stay extremely comfortable. My husband especially loved the gently rocking chair and sat in it all day. - The staff were so professional that we could relax completely and enjoy ourselves. - Every dish was delicious. You could really tell how skilled the chef is—especially the dashi; I wanted to ask for the recipe. - Personally, I also really appreciated that children of elementary school age or younger are not allowed. It makes it much easier to relax. Overall: great views, an amazing Onsen, a Hotel that is clean and pleasant throughout, outstanding food, and warm, wonderful service from everyone—an Accommodation that was perfect in every way. We will definitely stay again!

    The hospitality was exceptional.

    The Room, the private open-air bath, and the service were all outstanding. At most Accommodations we’ve stayed at, dinner portions have been so large that we couldn’t finish them—leaving food feels rude, but forcing ourselves to eat is tough. This time, the amount was just right, so we were able to enjoy a bottle of our favorite wine. We stayed for one night this time, but next time we’d like to relax with a Multiple Night Stay. Thank you for helping make our trip such a wonderful memory.

    Relax in a soothing hot spring bath while enjoying snowy views.

    I stayed here to coincide with a piano recital in Fukushima (Fujita). My check-in ended up being late, but the Shuttle Service was very helpful. The warm, refined kumiko woodwork creates a wonderfully calming atmosphere. The large public bath was spotless and spacious, with a sauna as well, and I enjoyed a relaxing open-air bath while watching the snow. The post-bath drinks were also much appreciated. The open-air bath in my Room had excellent-quality hot spring water, and I soaked many times and warmed up slowly. Breakfast was served in a private room, with a wide variety of dishes including local specialties from Tsuchiyu, and everything was delicious. They also provided a Shuttle Service back to Fukushima Station, so I made it home without feeling worn out. I would love to visit again when I want to relax somewhere quiet and enjoy great hot springs. (Solo female trip, part 2)

    Highly recommended dining options.

    From the moment of arrival by car to the farewell after checkout, the service was exceptionally attentive, making for a very pleasant stay. The Room was clean, and I enjoyed relaxing while sipping on beverages from the refrigerator. For dinner, I chose Japanese cuisine; the "beef soup" broth, simmered conger eel rice bowl with crab soup were incredibly delicious, and the quality of the dessert at the end left a lasting impression. However, some men might find the portion sizes slightly insufficient. Additionally, regarding inclusive drinks, it would be perfect if champagne or sparkling wine were available and if there were small snacks in the lounge. I look forward to visiting again in a different season.

    I was very satisfied.

    The weather was bad on the day, and we arrived much earlier than the check-in time, but the staff's thoughtful hospitality was truly impressive. The interior, unified with intricate woodwork designs, felt like being in an art museum. The meals were not only delicious but also served in carefully selected dishes that resembled works of art. With only 9 rooms available, we hardly encountered other guests and enjoyed a luxurious time as if we had rented out the accommodation just for ourselves. We were extremely satisfied. Everything was perfect except for one minor disappointment: the concrete walls from pre-renovation demolition work were visible from various spots, which slightly diminished the sense of luxury. It might be better to cover them with greenery or similar solutions. We would love to stay here again!

    Second Stay as Repea...

    Second Stay as Repeat Guests Stayed with my mother and sister on the day of my father's first death anniversary. Everything during our 2-night stay was excellent. The staff were very kind and even prepared a seat for my father, allowing us to have a meaningful memorial service. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Clean and Quiet Accommodation

    The staff were incredibly kind, leaving a great first impression. The welcome drink, peach juice, was rich and so delicious that I enjoyed it several times during my stay—it was the best peach juice I've ever had! The room was clean, and the disposable slippers were soft and comfortable, making my stay very pleasant. My spouse and I chose Japanese cuisine for our meals, which showcased the chef's dedication and creativity—absolutely delicious. The final dessert exceeded all expectations; it was the most wonderful and tasty dessert we've ever had at any accommodation or hotel we've stayed at! Although I'm not usually a fan of sweets, the refreshing parfait dessert was so perfect in both taste and presentation that I finished it instantly. The Onsen in our room's bath and shower was excellent, allowing me to sleep soundly. This is an accommodation we would love to visit again!

    I had a relaxing and restful stay.

    I stayed for a multiple night stay of three nights in late 2025 to relax and recover. One reason I chose this accommodation was the option to select between Japanese and Western meals for both breakfast and dinner, which kept the meals from becoming monotonous. The food was very delicious and satisfying overall. However, the quality of the Japanese breakfast felt slightly lacking, so I rated the meals 4 stars. Despite having only nine rooms, this accommodation featured a spacious lobby floor, large public bath, and sauna, offering a luxurious sense of space. The use of intricate kumiko woodwork throughout created an excellent modern Japanese atmosphere. The staff were bright and provided attentive service. As a left-handed person, I was surprised to find that my chopsticks were set up for left-handed use during dinner one evening. When I asked about it out of curiosity, they explained that they noticed me using my left hand while eating appetizers upon arrival. I was impressed by how they observed guest behavior carefully and reflected it in their service through proper information sharing—a level of attentiveness not commonly found in accommodations (perhaps only about 10% achieve this). This demonstrated well-trained staff. Thick towels and all-inclusive services also enhanced satisfaction during my stay. Overall, this was an exceptionally satisfying accommodation experience. I would love to visit again. As an additional note: when choosing this place initially, I referred to reviews from other guests. Some comments had concerned me at first but had already been addressed by the time of my visit: - Requests for samue attire: Samue attire is now provided. - Separate indoor slippers vs outdoor slippers: Now replaced with soft unified slippers. - Concerns about toothbrush quality: Toothbrushes have been upgraded with softer bristles.

    Hidden Hot Spring in Fukushima: A small Ryokan-style Hotel with abundant natural hot spring sources.

    Originally accommodating 100 guests, the Hotel will reopen in February 2025 with just 9 luxurious rooms. Each room features a private open-air bath with natural hot spring water. The entire first floor is dedicated to a large public bath, spacious enough for about 20 people, offering an almost private experience. Additionally, it includes a sauna for complete relaxation. Meals are served in private dining rooms with the quality of a high-end Ryokan.

    Perfectly balanced hot spring temperature!

    I stayed at the accommodation at the end of the year. Due to concerns about snowfall, I arrived early, but the staff welcomed me warmly. I was offered a welcome drink (coffee) and hors d'oeuvres (salmon, dill, quiche?), but I felt that coffee and salmon were not a good match. Perhaps small baked goods or slightly warmed thin-skinned manju with green tea would be better to give a sense of being in Fukushima. The onsen in the room was slightly hot but had excellent water quality! I enjoyed soaking while overlooking the river. Encouraged by this experience, I also tried out the large public bath! The indoor bath was slightly lukewarm, while there were three types of outdoor baths that were hotter. The cypress bed area near one of the spouts had higher temperatures due to its smaller size and provided great warmth. It felt well-maintained. For dinner, I chose Japanese cuisine served in a kaiseki style starting with appetizers and offering various dishes. The beef soup made with Fukushima beef was particularly delicious—I even finished all the broth! Other dishes also showcased excellent use of dashi stock; however, each portion was too small for my liking. Reducing variety and increasing portion sizes might be better overall. My biggest disappointment came during sashimi service when carpaccio was served instead—it did not feel worth what we paid. Returning to our room after dinner revealed an issue: for three guests staying together, only one futon on tatami mats (not beds) had been prepared—and we had to set it up ourselves from storage! Typically at ryokans after meals are finished staff prepare bedding for guests automatically. Additionally sleeping close to windows on low-level tatami exposed us directly against cold drafts making rest uncomfortable—an extra bed should have been provided instead along with sufficient amenities like toothbrushes or razors which seemed limited only accommodating two people rather than three. If accommodation prices are set high expectations naturally rise accordingly so thoughtful attention towards enhancing services tailored individually per guest becomes essential moving forward sincerely hoping improvements occur soon enough given how genuinely kind smiling faces among team members left positive impressions preventing immediate feedback shared earlier onsite yet ultimately decided voicing concerns here now matters equally much still overall experience could elevate further aligning uniquely local offerings exclusively showcasing best aspects surrounding region itself ideally sourcing ingredients within 20km radius emphasizing fresh seasonal produce meats fruits vegetables over forcing seafood inclusion unnecessarily blending traditional-modern elements seamlessly without rigidly adhering strict course structures either way apple gift received upon departure proved delightful reminder potential awaiting realization ahead altogether wishing everyone involved success crafting unforgettable stays celebrating everything wonderful about Fukushima truly deserves recognition worldwide someday soon hopefully achieved together collaboratively always striving excellence beyond expectations forevermore

    The service was excellent!

    The facilities are excellent, but what stands out the most is the service. From being warmly greeted upon arrival and having our luggage carried to the room, to the exceptional dinner service and heartfelt send-off, it was truly impressive. Having stayed at many Onsen accommodations in Tohoku, I believe this place offers top-notch hospitality. The room was also outstanding. The intricate kumiko woodwork decorations were not only in the lobby but also in the guest rooms and dining areas. The meals were perfectly portioned and absolutely delicious. As for areas of improvement... While it may be expected in Tsuchiyu, the water temperature in the large public bath was extremely hot—too hot to enter comfortably. It felt like a waste given how new and clean it is. However, I appreciated that we could adjust the temperature ourselves in our private room bath, which was spacious and comfortable. Additionally, although we didn’t opt for an all-inclusive plan this time, I felt that if we had chosen it, there might have been limited alcohol options available. As a wine lover, I would have liked to enjoy champagne for a toast during French cuisine or pair white wine and red wine with each course accordingly. There wasn’t any glass wine on the menu—perhaps because we ordered Japanese cuisine? Among so many Ryokans out there, Mukaitaki is one I’d love to visit again! Looking forward to seeing further improvements in future stays!

    Staying at Hotel Mukaitaki was truly wonderful. The quality and quantity of the meals were impeccable, and I was especially impressed by the dishes made with fresh local ingredients. As a Diamond member, I enjoyed exclusive perks such as appetizers, which showcased their attention to detail. Additionally, the refrigerator was stocked with exquisite ice cream—a delightful surprise. Relaxing in the open-air bath and experiencing their attentive service allowed me to fully refresh myself. The all-inclusive Plan was excellent, letting me enjoy a worry-free and luxurious stay. I definitely look forward to visiting again!

    Japanese Modern Style

    Upon arrival, it was raining, and we were greeted with umbrellas. We enjoyed a welcome drink and sweets in the lobby before being guided to our room. The room had a comfortable Japanese-modern design that felt relaxing and easy to navigate. As an all-inclusive accommodation, the room's refrigerator was well-stocked with drinks, and we appreciated the ice cream as well. However, we were surprised by the notice regarding the all-inclusive refrigerator, which we had not encountered before. The shower room and open-air bath had a faint sulfur scent, which I personally enjoyed. A minor disappointment was related to amenities considering the price range. The quality of the toothbrush could be improved; personally, I would have preferred a brush over a comb. Additionally, I would have liked an extra bathrobe or towel since reusing sweaty towels multiple times is uncomfortable for me. A chair in the shower room might also be helpful for those who may lose balance while washing. As for dining, we could choose between Japanese or Western cuisine; both offered just the right portions with refined flavors that left a lasting impression—it was truly delicious! While some staff seemed less experienced in timing food and drinks perfectly, everyone was friendly and approachable. We also received a warm greeting from the manager during our stay. Upon checkout, we were even given fruit as a parting gift—leaving made us feel reluctant to go home! It was wonderful to discover such an exceptional accommodation. I look forward to visiting again during another season!

    I was looking forward to staying at this newly opened accommodation. It exceeded my expectations and was truly the best accommodation. The service and meals were absolutely satisfying. If I had to point out something, it would be the significant difference in the design of the large public baths, where all bath doors except for the entrance need to be manually closed, and the noticeable disparity in the design of outdoor baths. Recently, as many rooms have private baths, fewer guests use public baths or only use them for a day. It might be better to create a more symmetrical or uniform design for such facilities. The next morning, while looking outside from my room, I saw sheep walking by—I had to do a double take! Apparently, they belong to a neighboring accommodation that initially raised them for food but ended up keeping them because they found them adorable—what a surprise! I would love to visit again. Also, the dorayaki shop near Fukushima West Interchange was incredibly delicious!

    Private Use Muka-taki

    We had the entire accommodation to ourselves as it was a Friday weekday and still a bit early for the autumn foliage season! We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a welcome drink at the luxurious front desk. My husband had draft beer, while I had peach juice! It tasted just like eating fresh peaches... so delicious that I had it again the next morning! Both large baths were reserved for us, which felt almost too indulgent. The water had a slight sulfur scent but was silky smooth to the touch. The room's ceramic bath was also incredibly smooth and comfortable. The staff were very friendly yet maintained an appropriate distance, providing excellent hospitality. However, there were disposable indoor slippers and outdoor slippers provided, but since high-quality socks for indoor use were also available, I thought it might be better to focus on improving just the outdoor slippers' quality instead of offering both types. Additionally, the toothbrush quality could be improved—it wasn’t great this time. Normally I bring my own toothbrush because of this reason but forgot it on this trip; hence my feedback after using theirs. Given concerns about bear sightings these days, perhaps it's challenging to address this issue—but seeing what appeared to be styrofoam-like trash along the riverbank visible from our room was disappointing. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with its exceptional hospitality, luxurious room, exquisite cuisine, and delightful drinks at this high-end accommodation!

    Enjoyed thoroughly.

    A very beautiful accommodation. The room had both a sofa and a tatami table, which was very lovely. The onsen had a faint sulfur scent, and I enjoyed the sauna in the large public bath. The ceramic-style bath in the room was incredibly relaxing. While the onsen was amazing, the food was absolutely exceptional as well. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding, with every dish being meticulously prepared and delicious! I couldn't help but exclaim how wonderful it all tasted. I would love to stay here again!

    An Onsen Accommodation with a Pleasant Sulfur Aroma

    We stayed at Mukaitaki in Fukushima as a couple. This Ryokan has only 9 rooms, but the staff's hospitality was excellent. The Onsen, with its colorless and transparent water and a pleasant sulfur scent, along with the sauna, was very satisfying. The meals were served in a private room, which was also very satisfying. The shuttle service car was luxurious, and we would love to visit again when we come to Fukushima.
