    This was our first stay with our dog.

    The location was excellent, and the Hotel lobby, Room, pool area, and other facilities were all very clean and relaxing. This was our first stay with our dog, and our pet was able to spend time comfortably in the Room. We were also happy that a celebratory message for our daughter and a cake were prepared in the Room. Regarding dining, we wished there were more options for dinner (including kid-friendly menus). Also, check-in took some time, so it would be nice to have welcome drinks available. When making the Reservation, there was no mention of a pet fee, so we were confused when it was added at check-out. Overall, many of the staff members were international, and everyone was friendly and kind. It has become one of our favorite Hotels—one we’d like to stay at in every season.

    I’m a local from Osa...

    I’m a local from Osaka, and I chose this place after reading Reviews because I wanted to enjoy good food and relax, but the staff attitude, service, and both the breakfast buffet and in-room dining were disappointing—far below expectations. From check-in, the female front desk staff was matter-of-fact with no sense of hospitality… The two staff members next to her kept talking while staring at their computer screens, with no greeting or any mention of Shuttle Service… To top it off, they served me a hand towel and tea at the narrow front desk counter—expecting me to drink it standing there—which left me disappointed and made it clear I had chosen the wrong Hotel. After that, I went to the 1st-floor café to get cake to take back to my Room, but I was kept waiting… It wasn’t even full—were they really that busy? Some waiting is understandable, but what was fatal was that even while I stood looking at the display case, not a single staff member spoke to me. I had no choice but to call out myself, only to get an unapologetic “Please wait a moment”… Within minutes of checking in, my mood dropped sharply as I wondered if this was really the level of both front desk and restaurant staff. The breakfast buffet had plenty of variety but was completely average… It felt like they tried too hard to offer everything and sacrificed quality across individual items. The in-room dining food was average at best—if not below average… The facilities themselves were very nice, but for this price point the service does not match at all. Of course I will never stay again, and I can’t recommend it to anyone.

    This was my third st...

    This was my third stay. Compared to before, the hospitality around the front desk had improved even more. Thank you for your thoughtful care. This time, I tried lunch at the 1F restaurant “P72” for the first time, and I was very satisfied with the comfortable atmosphere and service, as well as the beautifully presented and delicious dishes. Breakfast was outstanding as always. I was able to relax and fully enjoy my time in my Room. I look forward to visiting again.

    The view of Osaka Castle is great.

    I made a Reservation for a Room with a view of Osaka Castle. I was impressed from the moment I walked in. The staff’s greetings were excellent as well. The surprise I requested was a great success, and I sincerely thank everyone at the Hotel for their support. Since it was during summer vacation, the pool was lively, but it was comfortable with a sauna and jacuzzi too. In the evening, I visited the bar and enjoyed beautiful night views in a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast at the restaurant on the 19th floor offered a wide variety of options, and I had trouble choosing. I was able to relax and had a wonderful stay at this Hotel. I would like to stay again.

    Train foreign staff!

    I stayed at Patina Osaka. First, I was extremely satisfied with the Facility and amenities. Perhaps because it is still a new Hotel, everything inside was spotless and impeccably clean, and the interior design and furnishings felt truly luxurious. The guest room was spacious, with thoughtful attention to detail throughout—overall, the physical aspects were exactly what you would expect from a luxury Hotel. The location next to Osaka Castle Park is also wonderful, and in terms of enjoying the Hotel itself, I think it is a very appealing Accommodation. On the other hand, what disappointed me during this stay was the service side—especially staff hospitality. Having many international staff members is not an issue in itself; in fact, I see it as a positive in terms of diversity. However, from a Japanese perspective, there were several moments when I wished for more—not only in wording but also in reading the situation and proactively offering support. Rather than an issue with individual staff members, my impression was that training and shared service standards as a Hotel have not yet been fully established. Because the Facility is so outstanding and expectations are naturally high for a luxury Hotel, the gap between that quality and the service stood out even more. The physical aspects are unquestionably excellent, so if staff training and hospitality continue to improve over time, I believe it will become an even more complete Hotel.

    I stayed here while attending the Tenjin Festival.

    I reserved a Room with an Osaka Castle view. Watching the fireworks from a cool, comfortable Room was a luxurious and unforgettable experience. After check-in, I enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, and breakfast the next morning was just as delicious as during my previous stay—I was completely satisfied. Although I live in Osaka City, this is a Hotel I’d like to stay at several times a year.

    A Hotel stay that satisfies you in every way

    Although I live in Osaka, I stayed at Patina Osaka, which is very close to my home. Above all, the hospitality was outstanding in every aspect from check-in to check-out, and even though it was a short one-night stay, it was an extremely satisfying Hotel stay. The meals (in-room dining) and breakfast were both delicious—I was impressed the entire time. The turndown service was also meticulous, with everything kept spotless; the service was truly attentive, making it the most comfortable Hotel I have ever stayed at. It is also very pet-first, so my family and I could relax with complete peace of mind. I will definitely be back again. My heartfelt thanks to all the hoteliers at Patina Osaka. Thank you so much!

    Second time.

    This was my second stay, and it was just as great as ever. The breakfast menu had expanded, and the meat soup was absolutely delicious! I also loved being able to enjoy Osaka’s unique local specialties.

    Wonderful Summer Vacation

    I stayed with my elementary school-aged sons, and the Room was spacious with a great view. The staff were kind and attentive, making it a wonderful summer vacation! My kids were happy too, saying, “Everyone is so nice.” We spent two full days without leaving the Hotel at all—swimming in the pool, relaxing in the Room, and enjoying delicious meals. I’d love to stay again when we can take time off!

    The Hotel’s atmosphere felt like a resort.

    I used to see it every time I drove on the expressway, but since only the Hotel was there, I wasn’t very interested. The other day I visited just for the restaurant, and the Spanish cuisine was quite good, so this time I decided to stay. Unlike my initial impression, it was a Hotel that truly felt like a resort. I could relax while staying there, and I thought the restaurant was also of a high standard. The service was excellent as well—overall, a very satisfying Hotel.

    A one-of-a-kind Hotel where you can relax and enjoy a leisurely stay with views of Osaka Castle.

    Choosing a Room with an Osaka Castle view was absolutely the right decision—it made for a truly memorable stay. The Room was new and spotless, and I was genuinely moved by the experience of being able to enjoy a panoramic view of Osaka Castle all day long. Since it was such a special occasion, we ordered in-room dining at night, and it felt like having a private restaurant reserved just for us. The food was excellent, and we could order various items even late at night—an incredibly attentive Hotel experience overall. The anniversary treats were also wonderful: an umeboshi with rice inside and a plate decorated with pumpkin seeds were both new flavors for me, delicious, and very impressive. One disappointment was that the pool was packed with inbound guests and felt like a public pool, and there was also a Chinese guest who started speaking loudly on the phone. I had been looking forward to it, but ended up leaving quickly. That said, everything else about the stay was perfect. I would definitely like to stay again, and it’s a Hotel I can confidently recommend to others.

    I’m a returning guest.

    I love this Hotel for the Room interior, which suits my taste, and the wonderful view. The food is delicious, and all the staff are friendly and cheerful, so I always feel comfortable and have become a repeat guest. I use all of the restaurants regularly as well, and they are very comfortable. With carefully selected ingredients, the meals feel truly unique, and I think this is one of the few Hotels where you can dine with peace of mind. Regarding the negative point: I used late check-out again this time, and although I was told in advance that the Room key would be adjusted for late check-out, it was still set to the standard check-out time without an extension, so there was an incident where I could no longer use the elevator; therefore this time is a minus.

    We recommend the Osaka Castle view.

    As a local resident, I stayed here as a mini getaway to refresh. When I entered the Room, the ramparts of Osaka Castle and lush greenery opened up right in front of me—it was truly impressive to find such a view in Osaka. It has a very different feel from a high-rise cityscape, and you can spend time away from the hustle and bustle. The Facility as a whole isn’t large-scale, but you can sense the attention to detail, while still feeling relaxed rather than overly formal—just the right balance. All of the staff were exceptionally hospitable, and I received comfortable, pleasant service throughout. I also used the pool; there were some families with children (myself included), but overall it had a calm atmosphere. For dinner, I had a course at INAKI. There are plenty of à la carte options as well, so that might have been another good choice. Breakfast doesn’t have an extensive number of items, but each menu offering feels thoughtfully curated. Hot dishes such as eggs are made to order and brought to your table. I wanted to eat more, but I ended up completely full. Since you can check in and out on your mobile device, you can relax in your Room until the last minute and then head out right away. Working out at the pool and gym, enjoying great meals, and unwinding in my Room made for an ideal refreshing stay. I’d love to stay again. (The city view faces a busy road and traffic noise can be noticeable at times—so I definitely recommend the Osaka Castle view!)

    The Osaka Castle view from the Room is amazing.

    I stayed here with my mother as a slightly belated Mother’s Day gift. When we took the elevator up to the lobby, we were truly impressed by the full glass walls and the view of Osaka, and the view of Osaka Castle from our Room was also absolutely wonderful. At first, I felt a little uneasy because there seemed to be fewer Japanese staff members and more international staff, but everyone spoke Japanese very well, so we were able to communicate comfortably. Most of the guests were also international, but no one was noisy, and we were glad we could spend our time peacefully. This time, we booked a Plan that included a 10,000-yen Hotel credit as an opening anniversary offer, so we used in-room dining. The food was delicious and generous in portion size, and we were very satisfied to enjoy our meal while taking in the view from our Room. It did take a little time for the food to be served, and they even called us to apologize for keeping us waiting. They also kindly gave us an assortment of sweets as an apology. We weren’t concerned about the timing at all, but we truly appreciated their thoughtfulness. With IKYU Diamond member benefits, we were able to use one-hour early check-in and late check-out, which allowed us to fully enjoy a relaxing hotel staycation at our own pace. My mother seemed to love it as well—this is definitely a Hotel we would like to stay at again in the future. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

    All the staff were kind, and the high quality of service was outstanding.

    After watching the WBC, we stayed to celebrate a family birthday. Thanks to the outstanding hospitality of the staff who handled our reservation call, suggested valet service, and assisted us at the front desk, we had a very comfortable stay. When we requested a 1-hour late check-out, they kindly accommodated us, which allowed us to enjoy afternoon tea at Nijiri from 13:00. The layout of the Junior Suite was perfect—it was the most ideal Room we have ever stayed in. There was also a sofa bed on the spacious balcony, and Osaka Castle looked beautiful. We were delighted by the thoughtful birthday message as well as the cake and fruit. At breakfast, they also helped us celebrate. When I worried whether there would be enough time to order à la carte, they suggested splitting one dish into two portions for us, so we were able to enjoy delicious ramen as well. Next time, I would like to check in while it’s still light out and relax even more. It was a wonderful trip—thank you very much to everyone.

    It felt like more in...

    It felt like more international guests stayed here than Japanese guests. Personally, I really liked the atmosphere of this Hotel; the staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious. The Room was also relaxing and comfortable, and I would definitely like to stay again. Due to the location it can’t be helped, but I often woke up at night because of loud motorcycle noise and ambulance sirens.

    The front desk staff...

    The front desk staff were incredibly kind and gave us a warm welcome, and the food was healthy and absolutely delicious. The Room design was very stylish with a calm atmosphere, and it was truly relaxing. There was a yoga mat in the Room, so doing yoga on the tatami while looking out at the greenery of Osaka Castle felt amazing! At night, being able to lie back on the tatami and enjoy the Osaka Castle night view was such a luxury—truly an exceptional seat you can only experience here. The Room was also spotless, making this an unforgettable stay. Thank you very much!

    Impressive.

    The Hotel is a bit far from the station when walking with luggage, but the Room is spacious and relaxing, and the view is wonderful. I was satisfied with the Nijiri afternoon tea. The staff service was also good. Breakfast was good as well. My only complaint is that I don’t think the spa is worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend it.

    It is a wonderful Hotel.

    The view from the 20th-floor lobby, looking straight out at Osaka Castle, is truly stunning both day and night. It feels like an angle you can only get at this Hotel. The Facility is new and sophisticated. In particular, copper accents used throughout—so fitting for Osaka, the “city of copper”—add great character and really catch the eye. Since we mainly came for a staycation, we were able to relax and enjoy the comfortable atmosphere. The food was also excellent; dinner at Barin was very satisfying. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety, and you can order as many à la carte items as you like, so it’s easy to overeat. If I had to mention anything that stood out: there was no skincare set in the Room, and the toothbrush was made from natural materials. They brought them when I asked, but it’s unusual not to have a skincare set at this level. I bring my own toothbrush so it wasn’t an issue for me, but more Hotels are providing bamboo or wooden-handled toothbrushes these days; they aren’t always easy to use, and they feel rough against the gums, which I don’t like. I assume both choices are part of the Hotel’s environmental policy. There were many young staff members—some seemed a little inexperienced—but overall everyone clearly tried to ensure guests had a pleasant stay, which I appreciated. I would like to stay here again when visiting Osaka.

    Our family stayed on...

    Our family stayed one night in a Junior Suite. There was no escort to the Room—only guidance as far as the elevator on the reception floor. It didn’t feel like service you would expect from a luxury Hotel. The welcome drink (herbal tea) tasted very good, but the portion was too small, there were no snacks, and there wasn’t even water for our child. I couldn’t understand the purpose of offering it. At the very least, I think Suite guests should be offered something like complimentary alcohol served in the Room. We ordered dinner via room service, but perhaps it was geared toward foreign guests—the flavors were overly strong across the board, and my child and mother couldn’t eat it. At check-in, we were told that Diamond member benefits allowed checkout until 1:00 PM, but at 12:20 we received a call saying checkout was at 12:00 noon, which was confusing. I understand it may have been a busy period, but unless service standards are more consistent, I feel only a certain type of guest will continue to stay here.

    At last, your go-to Accommodation in Osaka

    With my Diamond status restored, I decided to squeeze in a stay during the Hotel’s inaugural year.\n As it was my first visit, I referred to the Reviews here and my expectations were already high—but the experience exceeded them by a wide margin.\n Just as everyone says, the view is outstanding. Osaka Castle is right in front of you (directly ahead from the pool), with nothing obstructing it. And for such a central location in Osaka, I don’t think there’s anywhere else with scenery this lush and green. It’s easily among the best views in Japan.\n Using the Hotel credit, I had afternoon tea at “Nijiri.” Both the savory items and sweets were thoughtfully crafted—nothing was overly sweet or spicy, and everything was delicious. They offer a free-flow selection of teas from various brands and producers; in particular, there’s an impressive variety of Japanese tea and Japanese black tea, so tea lovers will be very satisfied. They also kindly accommodated my requests—dining solo and substituting ingredients I can’t eat—and combined with my love for Ginori’s DIVA series, it became the best afternoon tea I’ve ever had.\n The Room and amenities are flawless: over 50 square meters and extremely comfortable. They also accommodated early check-in/late check-out as a Diamond benefit, and the original bag is very sturdy—I expect it will be useful for outings with my child. The children’s pajamas I requested in advance were also perfectly prepared in the Room (even at similarly ranked—or higher—Hotels, this is surprisingly often missed).\n I used the pool both morning and afternoon; it never felt crowded, and again the view was superb. The abundant greenery also creates a sense of continuity with the landscaping outside, which was incredibly relaxing.\n Breakfast was delicious across the board—especially the seasonal sakura pain suisse, which truly surprised me. The Chinese congee was so good I’d happily have it every morning (was it previously a main dish?). Being able to adjust portions buffet-style was actually better. It was also helpful when traveling with a child that ramen and udon were available among the unlimited made-to-order main dishes.\n If there’s one drawback, it would be that access isn’t very convenient. On arrival we walked from JR Morinomiya Station; on departure we took a taxi and it cost under 1,000 yen, so we’ll do that except when the weather is pleasant enough to walk. Assistance from reception to the car drop-off area was also very smooth.\n Next time, I’d love to visit when we have clear weather as well.\n

    This was my second stay, following last summer. Restaurant INAKI is simply outstanding. Not only is the food delicious, but the staff’s friendly, warm hospitality creates such a comfortable atmosphere—I definitely want to return. I hope the Accommodation side of things, including check-in, will improve going forward. The Room is wonderful, but both last time and this time the check-in experience was quite disappointing. I really love the Hotel overall, so I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    I ended up staying overnight in Osaka at short notice and chose this Accommodation, which I had wanted to visit for a while. The Room with an Osaka Castle view that I wanted wasn’t available, so I chose a different Room, but it was stylish and relaxing, and I was able to unwind. Every staff member provided excellent service and was very pleasant, so I had a comfortable stay. It was also great that check-out could be done on my phone, making everything smooth and easy.

    Everything was wonderful. Done!

    I was satisfied with everything—the service and the Facility. Both breakfast and lunch were wonderful, and the staff’s smiles were truly soothing. True to Kansai style, chatting with the fun staff had me laughing out loud from the morning. It really refreshed my mood. The meal was a delight. Also, the Diamond member benefits were excellent, and I was genuinely happy to feel so warmly welcomed.

    It was my first stay...

    It was my first stay in about a year. Compared with my previous visit shortly after opening, the staff seemed much more settled this time, and their service was naturally warm, friendly, and attentive—it felt truly relaxing. The view from the Osaka Castle View Room was flawless, and the beautiful fresh greenery that constantly caught my eye was wonderful. Also, compared with a City View Room, I barely noticed any road noise at night. To be honest, on my first visit I was impressed by how substantial and delicious breakfast was, so I came this time really looking forward to it—but unfortunately it felt slightly downgraded. The quality of the ingredients themselves and their freshness were still excellent. However, there seemed to be fewer items on the buffet counter, and it appears Basque dishes have disappeared entirely. Perhaps due to holiday crowds, it took quite a long time for main dishes and drinks to be served, and I often noticed items left empty on the buffet counter without being refilled. That said, I highly recommend the vanilla soufflé pancakes I ordered from the main menu—they were very delicious (although when they first arrived they were undercooked with a liquid top layer, so I asked for them to be remade… if you find something runny inside later on, please note it is not vanilla sauce). I’ve written various things here, but in terms of taste, views, and service overall, this is a restaurant I really like with high satisfaction. One thing that bothered me this time was that I often received emails guiding me to complete procedures via chat using my smartphone (StaHo), so I tried it—but found it difficult to use. I also questioned why pre-check-in includes a step requiring submission of identification documents (I stopped at that point; however, check-in itself had already been accepted). Writing a handwritten signature on a smartphone is also very difficult for me as well—so next time I will handle everything at reception instead. In addition، there is an input field for turndown requests; apparently entering “+1” in the chat indicates you do not want turndown service—which is confusing. I requested turndown again verbally at check-in. Since I had booked a spa appointment in advance، I assumed they would come during that time، but it wasn’t done. They came promptly after I called، though. Maybe the system is still in transition—I’m not sure.

    Hospitality that never disappoints

    I stayed here last year and was so impressed by the staff’s hospitality that I returned. I had mentioned in advance that it was our 37th wedding anniversary, and during afternoon tea, our time at the spa, room service, and breakfast, each staff member congratulated us with “Happy 37th wedding anniversary!” The level of communication throughout the Hotel was exceptional and left a wonderful impression. I would like to make another Reservation again.
