    Highly satisfied

    Due to the typhoon, our planned two-night stay became just one night. We really wanted to stay one more night. Our shy eldest son was thrilled because the front desk staff were wonderful and he got very excited. The Room was spacious and clean, and the view from the bath was great. Also, one of the services is a Shuttle Service around the island, and they took us to Kouri Beach. The kids were very happy, and it made for a fun summer vacation. The Shuttle Service wasn’t listed online (or we may have missed it), but we feel that highlighting it more prominently—including the shuttle vehicle—would make the property’s appeal come across even better.

    The most unforgettable Hotel experience ever

    This Hotel impressed us in every way—hospitality, Facility, everything. At check-in, a staff member even came out to the parking lot to greet us. While enjoying a welcome drink, we received a thorough explanation of the property. The kids were beyond excited about how spacious and spotless the Room was, and about the view. There were thoughtful loan items such as card games, so not only the children but also we parents had a great time. We were also happy to find ReFa straightening and curling irons and a SHARP drum washer-dryer permanently installed, with detergent provided as well. The cleaning was impeccable down to every corner—truly impressive! (We stayed at another luxury Hotel the night before and noticed uncleaned areas and even flies, but here there was nothing like that—everything was beautiful.) At night, we relaxed by floating in the pool while gazing at the stars. And then breakfast—again, amazing: tender Wagyu steak in the morning and carefully prepared dishes using local ingredients. We had mentioned it was an anniversary trip, and they even prepared a cake and drinks for us. Every staff member was polite and warm; our 6-year-old son says it’s “the best Hotel ever.” I didn’t know Kouri Island could be such a wonderful place. We would absolutely love to stay again—with this Hotel as our main reason for coming back.

    A Hotel with Excellent Service

    It’s a wonderful Hotel where, thanks to its small scale, the service is truly attentive, and we were able to enjoy a special occasion. When we arrived, they came to greet us at the parking lot. The welcome drink, the pool that blends into the view—everything about the scenery was simply amazing. From the hilltop slightly away from the sea, we could enjoy a beautiful ocean color with depth that you can’t appreciate up close. The real view is even better than in photos! At night, a staff member took us to a spot where we could see the stars clearly, and for the first time in Okinawa we fully enjoyed a star-filled sky. Even though it should have been a season with lots of insects, there were none at all—I was impressed and thought it must be thanks to how well the staff maintain everything. Simply an outstanding Hotel. I want to come again. Thank you for an incredible experience!

    Multiple Night Stay for a Family Trip

    This was our third family trip to Okinawa, after visiting on our honeymoon. It was our first time on Kouri Island, and the ocean was incredibly beautiful. There were also plenty of nearby places we wanted to visit—Churaumi Aquarium, cafés, and more—so we chose this Hotel, and it was absolutely the right decision!!! The Hotel was spotless, spacious, and stylishly designed. The amenities, the ReFa hair dryer, and the washer-dryer in the room were especially helpful for a Multiple Night Stay with family. The mini kitchen and BALMUDA microwave were great for late-night snacks as well. Even the coffee cups and glasses were lovely—I was impressed by the thoughtful attention to detail in everything. The guest-only pool was easy to use, and our daughters (one in university and one in elementary school) were thrilled. Dinner at the Italian restaurant was unforgettable—the pizza, pasta, and salad were all delicious, easily one of the most memorable meals of our trip. The homemade focaccia paired perfectly with the ricotta cheese on the side—it was unbelievably good. Enjoying that meal in such an open setting with ocean views made it even more amazing. All of the staff were truly kind and welcoming—thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. This was the best Hotel we have stayed at in Okinawa so far. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

    I would like you to reconsider the Room name.

    I complained immediately after check-in. With so many Resort Hotel options available, I chose this one based on the photos on the website, but the view was completely different. There were two options—Ocean Suite and Garden Suite (the price was the same)—so I selected the Garden Suite (photo 1, second image). When being shown to my Room at check-in, I was told, “If you open the bathroom shade, people outside may be able to see in, so please be careful.” I assumed that meant there was no fence around the garden and someone might catch a glimpse—but it wasn’t a garden at all. The terrace and even right in front of the bathroom faced the parking lot (photos 3 and 4). A “Garden Suite”? Isn’t this actually a “Parking Suite”? That’s what I complained about. The female staff member at reception only responded with, “We’re very sorry. However, this Room is classified as a Garden Suite.” So I asked to speak with a manager and told them that the Room name is misleading and that changing it to something like “Parking Suite” would be more honest. The manager offered to move me to an Ocean Suite, but I didn’t like being treated as if I were just complaining to get an upgrade, so I said it was fine as is. After that—at checkout as well—not a single apology was offered. It really came across as though they didn’t feel sorry at all. If the Garden option were cheaper than Ocean, I could understand expecting a less impressive view. But with the same price as Ocean—and with website photos showing a botanical garden along with wording like “a soothing garden surrounded by greenery and sea”—I trusted what was advertised. A parking-lot view made it impossible for me to relax; since I chose Garden specifically for relaxation, I couldn’t open either the living room curtains or the bathroom shade throughout my stay. From how Hotel staff explained it, they seemed to mean these are called “Ocean” and “Garden” Rooms but do not necessarily come with an ocean view or garden view—if that’s true, then they should change their website photos and promotional wording accordingly. That said, OCTO’s food had a wonderful charcoal aroma and was delicious...

    I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Kouri Island.

    There’s also a service that picks you up and drops you off around the island by cart, so you won’t need a taxi even if you’ve been drinking. We used the pool as well and it was great—relaxing at a leisurely pace while surrounded by nature was the best.

    Thank you for your support the other day.

    The scenery, Room, and Facility were all wonderful, but what stayed with me most was the warm hospitality of the staff. This time, I stayed for one night with my dog. There were so many thoughtful touches—careful consideration for my dog and little surprises throughout our stay—that made me genuinely happy as well. I could truly feel that you welcomed my dog as “an important guest,” which allowed us to relax and feel at ease. The teamwork among the staff was also outstanding. No matter who we met, everyone seemed fully aware of our situation, creating a warm atmosphere where each person felt personally cared for. It was the perfect balance—close enough to feel like you were truly paying attention to us—and it made our time there incredibly comfortable. I stay at Hotels often, but there are not many where I have felt this level of warmth in the service and genuinely thought, “I want to come back.” Thank you very much for such a wonderful holiday.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    This was my first stay on Kouri Island. The Hotel is located at the end of a narrow, steep road, so I was a little worried about access at first, but it turned out to be a quiet and truly wonderful Hotel with a panoramic view of the Kouri Bridge. The pool even had complimentary swim rings available to use, which I really appreciated these days, and swimming while looking out over the Kouri Bridge was the perfect way to refresh. Having a washing machine in the Room also meant we could pack lighter, and it was very helpful not having to worry about availability or timing. The bathroom was bright as well, and I enjoyed soaking in the tub many times. The on-site restaurant offered a dinner course with generous portions and outstanding flavor. I was also deeply impressed by the refined hospitality of the woman who served us at dinner. I’m grateful for all your thoughtful care both at the restaurant and throughout the Hotel. Even in the heat, providing Shuttle Service by cart to Michi-no-Eki became one of our favorite travel memories. Next time, I’d love to join your stargazing tour as well—we had to give up due to cloudy skies this time. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

    Relax and enjoy a luxurious stay.

    We stayed here for an anniversary, and the staff’s hospitality was outstanding from start to our send-off. The restaurant was excellent—every dish was delicious, and we were happy to receive the complimentary celebratory plate. There were also thoughtful touches in our Room, which made for wonderful travel memories. Being taken to Heart Rock by the Hotel cart (vehicle) was a rare and fun experience. We enjoyed chatting along the way as well, and it’s a Hotel we truly want to return to. Next time, we’d love to bring our daughter too. Choosing Baton Suite was absolutely the right decision.

    We had a wonderful time!!

    My spouse and I stayed here during our first visit to Kouri Island the other day. It’s a new Hotel, and everything—the building, the Room, the interior design, and the view—was beautiful. The staff’s thoughtful hospitality was also wonderful, and we were able to enjoy a truly luxurious and lovely time. I love blue, so I was thrilled with the beautiful blue-themed interior—it really lifted my spirits!! For breakfast, both my husband and I chose the Western-style meal; it looked amazing and everything was genuinely delicious. We arrived late for check-in so our stay ended up being short, but we’ll be back again to take our time.

    Thank you very much again for everything. This time we were blessed with wonderful weather, but above all, I can’t thank everyone at your property enough for your warm hospitality. At every moment, so many staff members kindly spoke to us, and both my dog and I were able to spend our stay feeling comfortable and in great spirits. I was also surprised that even staff members I met for the first time seemed to know about Kotaku—your team clearly shares information well. I truly felt it was outstanding hospitality. As always, the Room was very comfortable, and once again we thoroughly enjoyed the meals. In particular, the Yanbaru chicken with salt lemon was exquisite. The chicken was unbelievably tender, and the salt lemon blended perfectly with its flavor—it was almost too delicious. The pescatore was also incredibly generous with seafood—so much so that you could hardly see the pasta. Everything we ate was truly delicious. Please also share our thanks with the OCTO chef and all staff members. Next time we visit, we would love to enjoy different menu items as well. In any case, at BATON SUITE, not only are the facilities comfortable, but the kindness of your staff makes the stay even more pleasant, and our overall satisfaction is extremely high. Thank you very much as well for preparing such an adorable handwritten Welcome Board in our Room—perhaps a repeat-guest perk? (laughs) Your thoughtful gestures from everyone on staff made us very happy and added something special to our trip. Kouri Island & BATON offer a perfect escape from busy workdays—a beautiful view and a truly refreshing experience. We would absolutely love to visit again.

    It was excellent.

    I was truly impressed by this Hotel, with its stunning views and exceptionally high level of service from the staff. The meals were also very elaborate, and I was amazed that they source outstanding seasonal ingredients not only from the whole country but from around the world. It is a Facility where I would definitely like to stay again next time.

Not only were the Room and meals wonderful, but all the staff were very kind, and although I stayed alone, I was able to spend a quiet, relaxing time.     We had an amazing time.

    On this trip, I stayed in the Villa Suite as a solo traveler with my dog. Not only was the Room environment outstanding, but the thoughtfulness and service of all the staff were simply exceptional. Thank you to OCTO for arranging for us to dine with my dog on the terrace. We enjoyed quite a lot, including pasta and steak, and finished everything in no time. The filet steak in particular was exquisite and highly recommended. Even the baguette showed great attention to detail—it was so delicious that I ordered an extra one separately the next morning. Unfortunately, we had continuous rain, but it was such a comfortable stay that it more than made up for it. My dog met the staff every time we went for a walk and seemed very happy with all the affection he received. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this level of top-class satisfaction. I’m sure I’ll be back again, and I look forward to your kind support then as well.

    An amazing Hotel that will make you want to wake up early!!

    Everything was amazing! The Room was spacious, with plenty of space to relax—it was wonderful...! The complimentary drinks were well stocked, from alcohol to tea and juice. I was happy that the showerhead, hair dryer, and hair iron were all ReFa. The view from the balcony in the Room was absolutely incredible—I spent almost all my time out on the balcony. I will definitely stay again!!

    It was great.

    The view from the window of Kouri Bridge and the ocean stretching out on both sides was wonderful. However, when you look down, you can see private homes and building rooftops, which felt a bit mismatched and was slightly disappointing. I stayed on the 4th floor, and the Room was spacious with well-equipped Facilities, making it very comfortable. Taking off your shoes at the entrance is clean and nice. I booked a plan with breakfast and dinner included, and the restaurant staff who served us were kind, and the food was excellent. I have been staying at other Hotels on Kouri Island every year for several years, but this was my first time using your Hotel. I would love to stay again if I have another opportunity. I think it would be better to provide a baggage rack.

    We really enjoyed our stay!

    We stayed for two nights starting April 15. I often use Daiwa Roynet Hotels on business trips, and since this Hotel was being promoted, we decided to stay here. For reference, we stayed at the Omoromachi Premier on the 17th. We were very satisfied with both stays, and thanks to you, it was a wonderful trip and a great memory for the two of us as a couple. In particular, the spaciousness of the Room, the Facility offerings, and the amenities were all outstanding. The Shuttle Service around the island by electric cart also felt like an excellent service (we’d like to use it next time). If I had to suggest one improvement, having Japanese cuisine available for dinner at the restaurant would be greatly appreciated by older guests. We could have used the cart Shuttle Service to go to a Japanese restaurant on the island, but... Seeing how much Kouri Island has changed since our last visit 10 years ago surprised us, while the view of Kouri Bridge from our Room and the unchanged surrounding scenery truly soothed us. We will visit again.

    It was amazing!

    The three of us—my 81-year-old mother, my 24-year-old daughter, and I—stayed here. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful space from the entrance, and both the Room and the view were outstanding. We also enjoyed delicious dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. It would have been perfect if the bath and toilet had been separate. We are truly grateful to the staff for their warm, hospitable service.

    A Luxurious Small Hotel

    This is a new Hotel that opened last year. The Rooms are spacious, the furnishings are carefully selected, and every area of the Hotel is stylish and beautifully designed. The Room entrance was very wide with double doors, giving it a solid, luxurious feel. All staff provided excellent service. I stayed on a Plan with dinner included. As the weather has been getting warmer and there are more insects, the door at the entrance to the Italian restaurant was left open, so insects came inside. Since I was wearing sandals, I kept noticing mosquitoes and couldn’t focus on my meal. I think it would be better not to leave the door open. The restaurant food was very delicious; in particular, the octopus was large, tender, and excellent. For breakfast I chose Japanese cuisine. It started with a smoothie and also included steak. Rice and miso soup could be refilled, and everything tasted great. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

    An Elegant Hotel Stay on Kouri Island with Spectacular Views and Exquisite Cuisine

    With breathtaking views of Kouri Bridge and the emerald-green sea, I was able to comfortably balance time at the Hotel with sightseeing around Kouri Island and nearby areas, making for a highly satisfying stay. This time, I stayed solo for three nights. I had visited Kouri Island before on day trips, but this was my first time staying overnight. What impressed me first upon arrival was the beauty of the view from both the lobby and the Room. Looking out over the emerald-green sea, Kouri Bridge, and the sky and greenery beyond the terrace, time naturally felt slower, and I felt it was an environment where you can truly enjoy the stay itself. The Room was spacious, with tasteful furniture and amenities. Both going out exploring and spending time in the Room were comfortable, and even during a Multiple Night Stay I never grew tired of it. Using this Hotel as a base, I also explored northern Okinawa (Cape Hedo and Daisekirinzan). The balance between travel time and relaxing at the Accommodation felt just right, making it an ideal location to enjoy both Kouri Island and northern nature without overextending yourself. Dining at Restaurant “OCTO” also left a strong impression. From octopus paella to vongole bianco, every dish was delicious, and I could take my time enjoying my meal in a calm setting while admiring the view. In addition to three breakfasts included in my Plan, I visited multiple times during my stay—once for lunch and three times for dinner. All of the Hotel and restaurant staff were wonderful—friendly yet respectfully unobtrusive—which made me feel at ease throughout my stay. The limited-time sauna was also memorable. In addition to a poolside sauna setup, using the pool as a cold plunge—and then reclining on chairs in the pool while looking out at Kouri Bridge—made for an exceptionally open-air experience unique to this location. I believe one of this Hotel’s greatest strengths is how well it lets you enjoy both sightseeing and your stay without leaning too far toward either. If given another opportunity, I would love to visit again.

    An Exceptional Experience

    We visit Okinawa every year as a family. When we stay during summer vacation, we rarely go sightseeing because we spend most of our time at the beach and pool without leaving the Hotel. This time, however, our trip was during spring break to celebrate our son’s junior high school graduation, and we stayed at BATON Suite on Kouri Island for the first time. The weather was great, so the views from the Hotel lobby and from our Room were amazing. Even our son, who isn’t usually interested in scenery, was impressed and took photos. The Room was spacious, clean, and truly comfortable. Since there are no convenience stores nearby, the drinks in the refrigerator were a huge help. Both dinner and breakfast at the on-site restaurant OCTO were very enjoyable—reasonably priced and delicious. After dinner, they took us by cart to near the top of Kouri Island, and the starry sky we saw from there was unforgettable. All of the Hotel staff were warm and kind-hearted, and their thoughtful service made our stay extremely satisfying. Our whole family would love to return. Next time we will definitely book a Multiple Night Stay. Thank you very much.

    It was a Hotel with excellent quality and outstanding hospitality.

    It was my first time back in Okinawa in 20 years, traveling with my husband. Since we had stayed the night before at a large international Hotel, the contrast made the warm hospitality here stand out even more. The Hotel had just celebrated its first anniversary, yet it felt like they deliberately chose high-quality touches even where they could have cut corners. That uncompromising approach elevated the overall value and atmosphere. It became a wonderful anniversary trip—thank you to Y for taking care of us, and for the thoughtful message! Just outside, the area was a quiet rural setting, but that was part of the charm and we truly enjoyed an authentic Okinawa experience. There are places to eat nearby, but they close early, so I’m glad we booked with meals included. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting that much, but it exceeded our expectations—we were very satisfied. Not only was the food excellent, but the service also felt as reliable as a restaurant in the city. The Hotel itself was great, and above all, every staff member was wonderful—thank you very much.

    I love Kouri Island ...

    I love Kouri Island and visit Okinawa twice a year, and I always stay for at least one night either nearby or on the island. This time I made a Reservation because the two-meal plan seemed like great value, but after booking I honestly kept wondering until the last minute whether it would be okay, since it’s on the bridge side where you can’t see the sunset and it feels a bit busy. But once I stayed here, the Room was so comfortable that I’m glad I chose Baton Suite this time! I usually choose larger Rooms, and I loved the luxurious space from opening the door to the area where you take off your shoes. It would have been even better if the TV could be turned to face not only the daybed but also the sofa. The coffee setup is a type I often see these days and use at home too, so I didn’t bother making any (haha). On the other hand, the Okinawan tea in teabags was really delicious. We had dinner and breakfast at OCTO—both were well-seasoned with generous portions. We ate enthusiastically from early on, so we ended up leaving a little at the end. Sorry about that. I was also touched by the surprise birthday celebration plate—thank you so much! One disappointing point: I think if we had paid for drinks at dinner directly at the restaurant, cash would have been accepted. However, we were encouraged to charge it to our Room, and then at checkout we were told cash payment wasn’t possible—so my partner ended up paying even for my drinks… That really brought me down right as we were leaving. I know guest circumstances may not matter on your side, but I wish we had known in advance. Still, I’d come back again outside of summer! The pool doesn’t feel especially appealing for adults to enjoy, so I’d like to revisit during a season like this as a place to relax slowly with great food.

    The Facility, meals, and the staff’s service are all excellent.

    Upon arriving at the parking lot, the staff greeted us with warm smiles. As soon as we entered the Hotel, we were amazed by the breathtaking view of Kouri Bridge and the ocean from the lobby. Then, when we stepped into our Room, we were surprised by how spacious it was and how well it was equipped with top-class amenities. Although the sky was unfortunately cloudy that day, the sea seen from the balcony still appeared in shades ranging from emerald green to light blue. Dinner—the Mediterranean cuisine—was absolutely delicious, and when we asked about some unusual ingredients, every staff member kindly explained them in detail. The next morning, we chose a Japanese breakfast as well; it was healthy and exactly to our taste, so we were very satisfied. By chance my birthday was coming up soon, and they even prepared a birthday plate and a gift for us—it truly became an unforgettable trip. Thank you very much. Everything was wonderful, but what I found most appealing about this Accommodation is the thoughtful, heartwarming hospitality of all the staff. It’s far away so it’s not easy to visit often, but next time I’d love to come with three generations of my family.

    Wonderful Hotel!

    The Shuttle Service to sightseeing spots on the island was available and it was excellent. The female staff member who assisted us was also wonderful—her service was very pleasant and professional. This was a fantastic Hotel in every way, and it made us want to return again. I added more details in the comments on the photos. The two people traveling with me loved it as well, and we have already made our next Reservation. It feels like a hidden getaway you almost want to keep secret. We’re looking forward to our next stay. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to relax in a calm, elegant setting.

    All the staff greete...

    All the staff greeted us with a warm smile even when we passed by, and their service was very pleasant. The food sometimes tasted a little salty, but there were many dishes and we were very satisfied. We were drinking a bottle of white wine, and they kindly offered us a complimentary glass of red wine with the meat course, which we truly appreciated. At night, they took us by cart to see the starry sky, making it an unforgettable memory. The Room was also comfortable, and we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    A Hotel I highly recommend

    Our family of four stayed in an Ocean Suite. First of all, the view is incredible. You can fully enjoy it from the lobby, the Room terrace, and even while soaking in the bathtub. The Room was spacious enough for four adults. My husband and son used the bedroom, and my daughter and I used the daybed, but it never felt cramped. The shower head and hair dryer were ReFa (and there were both straightening and curling irons), which made my daughter very happy. For breakfast, I chose the Japanese set and it was delicious. A variety of ingredients were prepared with different seasonings, so you can enjoy each bite. My husband chose the Western set and was also very satisfied. I tried a spoonful of purple sweet potato potage, and it was excellent. This Hotel was even more comfortable than we expected, and our kids said they want a Multiple Night Stay! With a washing machine, mini kitchen, basic cookware, and a microwave, it’s perfect for longer stays as well. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout, always greeting us with smiles. It may be basic hospitality, but there are many Hotels that feel indifferent. When we checked out and drove away by car, a female staff member kept waving until we were completely out of sight. We’ve been seen off before at other places too, but for some reason this really stayed with me—my husband told me that if I posted a Review at all, I absolutely had to mention it. Even small gestures add up to make your stay a lasting memory. Baton Suite has a warmth and comfort you don’t often find at large Resort Hotels. We visited on our first family trip in quite some time to make memories with our daughter before her wedding later this year—and we were truly satisfied. Thank you very much.

    Okinawa in February: a winter getaway with 20°C temperatures, and exceptionally vivid seas and skies!!

    Highly recommended for seasoned IKYU members! I had wonderful memories of the breakfast and hospitality at other hotels in the same group—Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kyoto and Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kagoshima Tenmonkan—so when I learned that a sister Hotel had opened on Kouri Island, Okinawa, we stayed there to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The staff welcomed us in front of the Hotel, and as soon as we entered the lobby, we were greeted by a breathtaking view of Kouri Bridge. Our Room was brand-new, spacious (all Rooms are 60 m² or larger), and extremely comfortable. For dinner, we enjoyed a course meal at OCTO, the on-site international restaurant. The number of dishes and generous portions were very satisfying, and everything was delicious—especially their signature island octopus paella. The interior also felt like a restaurant in Morocco overlooking the Mediterranean, with an exotic atmosphere that made the evening even more special. We were truly impressed by the attentive service from all staff members. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options; we chose Japanese cuisine, which even included steak in the morning—absolutely outstanding. Every member of the Hotel team provided exceptional hospitality with just the right sense of distance: attentive without being intrusive. On our February stay in wintertime Okinawa, there was hardly any wind and temperatures reached 20°C; from our Room terrace, the sea and sky looked even clearer than in midsummer. With fewer people around, time seemed to pass slowly and peacefully. For experienced IKYU members looking for an adult getaway, wintertime Kouri Island is highly recommended.     A Hotel where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Kouri Island’s emerald-green scenery.

    Kouri Island is the most beautiful coastline on Okinawa’s main island, and a place we visit every time. We heard that Daiwa Roynet Hotels opened its first Resort Hotel there in March 2025, with all-suite Rooms and ocean views, so we made a Reservation right away. After arriving at the Hotel, we were first amazed by the postcard-like panoramic view from the lobby. My spouse and I have traveled all over Japan, and this was the most moving view we’ve ever seen from a Hotel. The layout is designed so you can enjoy this scenery not only from the balcony of our Room, but also from the bed, bathtub, restaurant—everywhere—making our stay even more satisfying. The furnishings are thoughtfully selected as well; everything we touched reflected refined taste. The staff’s warm smiles and hospitality were outstanding—it was truly a wonderful Hotel.
