    Thank you for a wonderful stay! Our time at Rosewood Miyakojima was truly exceptional. Thanks to the beautiful scenery, the serene atmosphere, and above all the warm hospitality of the staff, it became a stay we will never forget. During one of the ocean activities, I had an accident and cut my foot on a rock, but you provided first aid right away, which made me feel very reassured. Thank you so much. Also, when I got sunburned, your recommendation of aloe vera helped calm my skin and was a huge relief. I really appreciated your thoughtful care. My spouse and I usually share our travels on YouTube, and we plan to publish our Miyakojima trip soon. We would love to highlight the charm of Rosewood Miyakojima as well as the wonderful hospitality of your team—please watch it when it goes live!     It was excellent.

    This was the best Hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The pool, the food, the Room, and the hospitality were all excellent. I’d love to come again.

    It’s best to go without setting your expectations too high.

    We stayed here on the last day of our long trip as a birthday getaway for my partner. Unfortunately, it rained on both days, so even though we booked a villa Room, we couldn’t enjoy the beach or the pool at all, which made the trip disappointing. What concerned me most was the staff service. The distance from our Room to the dinner venue was far and it was drizzling, so we contacted them to arrange a buggy. However, it never came even when it was time, and since we were going to be late, we ended up walking to the restaurant. Overall, I felt that buggies took an extremely long time to arrive. For dinner we went to the Japanese restaurant CHOMA, but during service they repeatedly squeezed between me and my companion every time they served us. We also ordered about two bottles of wine, and each time they brought a large decanter in the same way as above; their jacket hem kept brushing against us every time, which was unpleasant. To make matters worse, there was a small ant on one of the plates that came out toward the end. When I pointed it out, they gave only a brief “sorry.” Later when my partner got up to go to the restroom, they apologized again but added something like “we’ve only just opened,” which sounded like an excuse. If being newly opened is used as justification for poor service quality, then shouldn’t there be opening-period pricing? We paid full price and had also told them it was my partner’s birthday—so this level of service felt unacceptable. We booked what should have been one of the best Rooms in this Facility and expected an experience and service worthy of a birthday celebration. It ended up being a very disappointing Hotel.

    We stayed here for our honeymoon. We had been looking forward to Rosewood for a long time, and it exceeded our expectations—we had a truly wonderful time. Thank you as well for the anniversary gifts of champagne and cake. No matter where we dined, the food was delicious and very satisfying. One thing: at the breakfast buffet, flies were gathering around the salad and bread, and there were items we couldn’t eat even though we wanted to, which was disappointing. We understand that insects are inevitable in such a nature-rich location, but we would appreciate measures such as fly covers or lids. We would love to visit again.

    I stayed for three n...

    I stayed for three nights, and with the good weather, it was an excellent stay overall. In terms of the Facility and the views, it was the best among Hotels in the same price range that I have stayed at so far. On the other hand, there was a duplicate charge on my credit card, so I feel there is some room for improvement in operational handling. I had dinner at “Choma” and “Nagi,” and for restaurants within a resort, both were satisfying. However, I don’t think breakfast matches this price range. Overall, this is a highly recommended Hotel. If you want to enjoy an escape from everyday life, I suggest visiting during a season with good weather.

    We thoroughly enjoyed an exceptional resort stay.

    I always thought that if I went to Okinawa, I would rather travel abroad, but by a happy chance I visited Miyakojima for the first time. I stayed at Rosewood Miyakojima to see a staff member I had known for some time. From the moment I arrived at the airport, every detail was handled with such thoughtful care, and I was able to spend an incredibly happy time. During Room cleaning, when they noticed I had left a paperback out, they quietly placed an original bookmark beside it; and my charging cable even had a cable band attached—thoughtfulness in every way. From the Room, you can enjoy the famous “Miyako Blue” while listening to the sound of the waves. It was a stay that made me want to return again next year.

    Not worth the price?

    Rooms: The Hotel is new and clean, but it doesn't exude a luxurious atmosphere. If you get a room facing the west side with views of the main beach, it might be worth it. Service: About 70% of the guests are foreigners, so many staff members are not fluent in Japanese. It's better not to expect detailed service in Japanese. However, if you think of it as being at an overseas resort, this aspect can also be enjoyable. Dining: On the first day, we dined at a restaurant called MAAS. The head chef was a friendly Japanese person who explained various things and made the experience enjoyable. However, there was visible tension between him and a female chef in the open kitchen. The serving speed was slow and made us anxious at times. On the second day, we had Italian cuisine at NAGI. It was decent but nothing exceptional. While neither restaurant stood out particularly for their food quality, both offered stunning views of Miyako Island's beautiful beaches and sunsets that were well worth it. Impressions: Most guests were foreigners but generally calm individuals; this created an ideal environment for relaxing on the main beach. During our stay, I spent most of my time lounging on beach beds with books—an incredibly relaxing experience. There is no shop within the Facility or nearby convenience stores or dining options around; having a casual dining space would have been nice. The price is very high; however, I recommend this place to those who want to relax without being particular about Japanese-language services and have some flexibility in their budget. For someone like me who struggles with English communication skills, there were moments of stress during my stay.

    For better or worse

    It felt like being abroad. We were upgraded and enjoyed direct access to the beach, as well as easy access to the restaurant and main pool without needing a cart, which made our stay stress-free. However, perhaps due to high expectations, overall satisfaction was low. Many staff members did not speak Japanese, which was disappointing even for an international accommodation. We had to repeat ourselves in English, creating situations where guests felt they needed to be considerate unnecessarily. Do not expect Japanese-style hospitality here. We initially planned to spend 2 nights and 3 days entirely within the hotel but ended up booking another hotel's restaurant as the food did not suit our taste. The Caprese salad left us wondering why such unripe tomatoes were served—it was quite surprising. The facilities are excellent; we hope other aspects will improve in the future.

    Not just the box, but also enriched software.

    Located about a 10-minute taxi ride north of the center of Miyako Island and less than 20 minutes from the airport, this is a convenient location. Most cottages (with some exceptions) feature spacious and comfortable private pools compared to other resorts on Miyako Island, but there is still room for improvement in terms of service quality. Simply staffing with newcomers or foreign workers does not add value. The lack of workplace experience and leadership skills among top staff was evident. At what is likely the most expensive izakaya-style restaurant within the resort, dishes like thickly battered spring rolls (reminiscent of fried frankfurter sausages from fast-food chains) and a limited menu selection were disappointing. Under these circumstances, it seems that the opening of the Japanese restaurant still under preparation will take some time. The Italian restaurant offers lunch priced at ¥15,000 per person. Before such pricing, it would have been nice to delight guests with appetizers like snacks or bruschetta. As for breakfast, while the menu list appears luxurious, calling it buffet-style (with only drinks—alcoholic beverages are charged separately—salads, and pancakes available) feels misleading; instead, it operates more as an order-based system that fails to stimulate morning appetites. For a chain Hotel boasting several three-star properties elsewhere, this dining experience felt underwhelmingly sparse in content.

    The atmosphere, scenery, and room on the premises were exceptional. This hotel is more than enough to fully enjoy Miyako Island with its special ambiance. We traveled with a 2-year-old and a newborn. We stayed in a room that allowed direct access to the beach from the room. Playing in the private pool of our room and then heading straight to Miyako Island's private beach was perfect for traveling with kids! I also had an esthetic treatment. Initially, I thought it was overly expensive, but after experiencing it, I understood why—it was so luxurious that it brought me to tears (perhaps because I was exhausted postpartum). The meals were also satisfying. It’s high-end French cuisine, but they provided children’s chairs and even had udon (around 1,600 yen), which made dining stress-free for families with kids! There’s nothing to worry about when bringing children here! There were hardly any Japanese guests staying at this accommodation; it felt like being abroad! Upon asking, I learned that over half of their guests are now from overseas. Many staff members are also from different countries (though there are plenty of Japanese staff as well), and they reportedly support around 16 languages—truly globalized service! While my experience deserves a five-star rating overall and left me very satisfied, there are some points where improvements could be made: ① Coordination among staff seemed lacking at times. For instance, the person who guided us from check-in at the front desk to our room didn’t seem aware of pre-booked esthetic or meal reservations we had made beforehand—they frequently said they needed to confirm things instead of already knowing them ahead of time before our stay began. During my esthetic session running close against dinner timing: when informed about this situation by myself directly afterward—their response indicated surprise ("Oh your dinner starts at X o'clock? There's no time left!") suggesting poor internal communication beforehand regarding schedules/reservations shared across departments. ② My husband ordered dessert plates featuring personalized messages during one meal—but unfortunately these got forgotten until later delivered separately back upstairs into rooms post-dining instead—a disappointing oversight indeed! ③ Although booked under breakfast-inclusive plans initially forgotten upon arrival itself—menus handed out within morning venues displayed itemized pricing options ranging between individual dishes versus full sets alike leading us mistakenly assuming additional charges applied beyond inclusive entitlements therein only realizing otherwise retroactively reviewing checkout invoices confirming zero extra costs incurred regardless selection choices previously misunderstood unnecessarily confusing presentation methods better avoided via non-priced menu alternatives exclusively tailored towards such package deals inclusively clarified upfront avoiding misinterpretation altogether moving forward ideally rectified accordingly futurewise improved experiences guaranteed satisfaction assuredly enhanced comprehensively addressed concerns resolved effectively implemented adjustments recommended suggested feedback constructive criticism offered positively intended helpful insights shared transparently
