The location was great, and the Room was clean. The bathroom and toilet were separate, so we had a comfortable stay. Check-out is at 12:00, so we could take our time. It would have been nice if amenities included facial toner and moisturizer. I would like to stay again.

    The Room and Facilit...

The Room and Facility were new and comfortable, and being able to use the Umekita Onsen was very relaxing. Breakfast was crowded, but I could order items like a café latte and Eggs Benedict, and everything was delicious. Since I had access to the club floor, I used it and was able to relax on the first day. However, when I used it on the second day—just before 20:30—I had an unpleasant experience. At entry, I was told that last order was at 20:30, and I acknowledged this. But as soon as I poured myself one drink and sat down at my table, another staff member told me again that this was last order. I replied again that I understood. A few minutes later, I was told once more that it was last order (I hadn’t even gone for a refill). Being approached repeatedly in such a short time made me feel uncomfortable; although it is available until 21:00, I left within less than 10 minutes of entering. (There were still about two other groups there when I left.) I understand they wanted to start cleaning up early, but since I had already responded each time yet kept being reminded repeatedly in a short span, it made me not want to use the club floor for the rest of my stay. It was disappointing during what should have been an enjoyable visit.

A female staff member reacted angrily when I complained.

I had the worst service of my life at breakfast. No one showed me to a table, and no cutlery was set out. When I went to get a cutlery case myself, a young female staff member in her 20s came over without greeting me, silently pulled only the fork out of the case, and threw it directly onto the table. When I said, “Isn’t it unhygienic to place it directly on the table? Please replace it with a new one,” she pointed toward the entrance and told me, “The cutlery is over there—if you want a new one, go get it yourself.” However, she had plenty of brand-new cutlery in her hands. Even so, she refused to give me any. When I asked again for her to hand me what she already had, she repeated “Go get it yourself,” glaring at me with an irritated expression. I couldn’t believe it and complained. In the end, a man who seemed to be the manager came out and apologized. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced service this unpleasant. It felt less like customer service and more like talking to someone rude and aggressive. More than anger, my first reaction was shock. I was truly shocked.

There were many great points, but also some disappointing aspects...

[What I liked] - The Onsen “Ren” was excellent. It felt elegant and truly relaxing. - The breakfast egg sandwich is made to order, but I ate quite a bit while waiting and worried I wouldn’t be able to finish it when it arrived. However, perhaps because it was crispy, I finished the large portion easily—it was very delicious. - The lounge doesn’t have a wide variety of snacks, but the combination of dashi broth and toasted rice was great. Masters Dream beer is simply outstanding, and there’s also a wide selection of whisky. It’s a great lounge for those who enjoy alcohol. - The pillows were soft and comfortable. - The toilet and bath were separated across the hallway, which made them easy to use. - The ice machine on the floor let you choose from three options—water, ice, or water + ice—which was subtly convenient (at other hotels I’ve only seen ice). - As dining Facilities, having only the 5th-floor restaurant & bar is a bold and refreshing choice. Likewise, not stocking alcohol in the in-room refrigerator (which I usually don’t use) was another refreshingly clear decision. [What disappointed me] - I couldn’t figure out how to get there from Osaka Station’s “Umekita Underground Exit,” so I got lost and it took 18 minutes from getting off the train to arriving at the Hotel. Along the way there were almost no signs with the Hotel name; this is partly my fault as not remembering “Grand Green Osaka” contributed significantly. (I did try heading toward Osaka Station West Exit via the elevated walkway from the 2nd floor of the Hotel afterward—this route was easy to understand. Using West Exit as your main exit might be a good idea.) - Many Hotels allow check-in/out at the lounge, but everything here was handled uniformly at the 5th-floor front desk. The terminals were efficient large-screen units that made good use of IT; however, since there were many international travelers as well, it became crowded.)

Exclusive Club Lounge Alcohol Hour Only Available Here

I love the quality of the club lounge and the relaxed stay, so this was my second time staying here. Even though it’s right in the heart of Umeda, Osaka, it’s set slightly away from the hustle and bustle—an ideal location for a morning walk around Grand Green. Among the many hotels out there, I’d say this club lounge stands out by far for both the selection and quality of alcoholic beverages. As expected from a Hotel in the Hankyu Hanshin Group! Even without much knowledge, the staff kindly offered advice on various options, and I had the rare experience of discovering new drinks. Thank you! The Room was also spacious and comfortable. I truly enjoyed a luxurious, unhurried time in the city.

    The room is comfortable.

We stayed on the Club Floor and chose a Room where we could relax on the sofa and enjoy concert videos on the in-room TV, making the most of a mother-and-daughter Hotel stay for the first time in a while. The breakfast buffet had a good selection; I especially appreciated the salad and warm vegetables—particularly sautéed mushrooms—and having several types of oils available. The freshly baked croissants were delicious. I hadn’t realized Eggs Benedict could also be ordered in addition to the buffet, so it was a pleasant touch when a staff member informed us and brought it over. We also used the Club Lounge, but since it was shortly before last order, we felt slightly rushed. We didn’t have any alcohol and instead enjoyed coffee and baked sweets. We left fairly quickly while watching them begin to tidy up; as someone who also works at a Hotel, it wasn’t an issue with service itself, but more of an atmosphere that stood out. The Facility and amenities were modern and comfortable overall. As a small detail, however, the towels in the guest Room restroom were kept in a basket, so I thought it would be helpful to have a bar or hook to hang used towels. As this is a new Hotel, everything was clean and we had a wonderful time—we would definitely like to stay again.

    This is my fourth st...

This is my fourth stay at this Hotel. It’s convenient for using Time Out Market and the shopping complex directly connected to the Hotel. However, it feels farther from Osaka Station on foot than you might expect. Since it’s still fairly new, it’s clean and feels more upscale than Respire, and the lobby is quiet. However, when I’m in the Room, I constantly hear building noises (like creaking). The type and volume vary depending on the Room, and this time it was the loudest… with sudden “thud!” “bang!” sounds that seem different from a ventilation fan… It was quite noisy while sleeping, and some people might not be able to sleep at all. Also, as soon as I entered the Room on the first day this time, there was a cigarette-like smell. It was a non-smoking Room, but many overseas tourists come from cultures where common courtesy doesn’t always apply, so it may have been smoked in… One more thing: paper cups in the free drink area on the 6th floor often run out, so please check and restock them frequently. I already have a Reservation for my summer trip next time as well, so I look forward to staying again.

Truly impressed by the lounge staff.

We stayed on the Club Floor again this time and were impressed by the consistently excellent service. They even made us a Cherry Split Salty Dog–style cocktail. Thank you very much.

    Highly satisfied.

Close to Osaka Station, it was very convenient. Despite being near the station, it was quiet and we were not bothered by noise from cars or other traffic. The Room felt clean and had a modern, calming atmosphere with warm wood tones, making it easy to relax. The bathroom was also spacious enough. There were many shower options as well, which helped relieve our fatigue. Breakfast offered a wide variety and was enjoyable, but perhaps because staff were busy, used plates were not cleared promptly and were often left on tables. Overall, we were very satisfied and would definitely like to stay again.

The Room itself is comfortable, but...

The Room facilities and amenities were excellent, and I had a very comfortable stay. I especially appreciated the bath salts and the floor chair in the bathroom. However, there were issues with cleaning. When I entered the Room, there were many women’s hairpins scattered on the carpet—something that should have been noticed during vacuuming or a final check. Also, there was quite a lot of dust left in the toilet. At breakfast, it took far too long to bring out the special menu (separate from the buffet). By the time I went to get food from the buffet and returned to my seat, it had simply been placed on the table. If it was available, I would have preferred to order instead of going to the buffet. After 9:00, wedding staff began preparing for a party while chatting casually, which made it impossible to relax. Shouldn’t guests be informed in advance, or breakfast hours be set to close at 9:00? Alternatively, preparation should start after breakfast service ends. Several staff members also repeatedly told me “breakfast ends at 10:00,” which was frustrating. The first time I was told this, I replied that I understood and would leave by then. It is a Hotel where you can stay comfortably overall, but unfortunately these points made my rating lower. I hope none of this happens again on my next visit.

I had a comfortable stay with the new facilities.

I found it easiest to access from the West Exit of JR Osaka Station, making it very convenient when traveling by JR. The toilet and bath are separate, and the water-related Facility, including the washbasin, was excellent. The front desk staff were also kind, and I would like to stay here again when visiting Osaka.

Somewhat in-between; satisfaction may vary depending on the purpose of your trip.

I’d been curious because the Reviews were surprisingly harsh for a newly opened Hotel in Umeda, but after staying there, I understand why. First of all, the amenities are below even a Business Hotel level. The Room slippers are not disposable; they’re made of a leather-like material with large seams. The seams rubbed against my feet and felt uncomfortable, and I also had hygiene concerns. Having items that make it easy to imagine other guests using them left me with an uneasy impression. Amenities such as toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and razors are placed in the front desk area, and you have to pick them up yourself—there are none in the Room unless you do. With only three items, there’s no need for a “buffet-style” setup; I wish they were provided in the Room from the start. Sustainability is important, but it was disappointing—I've never even thought twice about amenities at budget Business Hotels. The Room layout is practical, but the air conditioner is quite loud. It also seems you can’t lock it to cooling or heating: at 26°C it felt hot, but lowering the temperature blew cold air and made it chilly… which was mildly stressful. As other Reviews mentioned, I also heard frequent building noises like creaks and cracks (“mish,” “paki”), which isn’t something I’ve noticed at many other hotels. In terms of location, since it’s on the far west side of Umeda (aside from Grand Green), the surrounding area feels quiet and there isn’t even a convenience store nearby. If you’re not using Umekita Onsen or the Hotel restaurant(s), Eki Marche Osaka has convenience stores as well as Don Quijote and supermarkets (plus deli shops), so it’s best to stock up there. It’s quite a walk to Midosuji Line or Hankyu Line stations. If you’ll be heading that way often, Hotel RESPIRE (the non-Grand one) or hotels in central Umeda are overwhelmingly more convenient for access. If your plan is to relax mainly around Umekita Onsen and Grand Green on Umeda’s west side, overall satisfaction should be fairly high.

    A Wonderful Stay Experience

Thank you for a wonderful stay experience. The place was thoroughly cleaned down to every detail, and the Facilities were very well equipped, so I was able to stay comfortably. Considering the price, I think this is an excellent Hotel with great value for money. I highly recommend that everyone try it!

    I visited Osaka for ...

I visited Osaka for the first time in several years and chose this new Hotel. The Reviews were mixed, but I decided to give it a try. I was very satisfied with my stay. The Room was beautifully decorated—stylish, elegant, and very clean. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were kind and helpful. On the first day, I had a little trouble finding Osaka Station and the shopping areas, but by the second day I got used to it and found the location very convenient. If I have a chance to visit Osaka again, I will definitely choose this Hotel.

I had a comfortable stay, but there was a smell of cigarette smoke.

It’s a new Hotel and the Room was clean! I was satisfied with the Facility, but some guests smoke in the smoking room located between the 5th-floor front desk and the restaurant and then enter the restaurant. The smell was an issue when they lined up at the breakfast buffet. The elevator was also filled with cigarette odor, which was very disappointing, and the smell lingered on my clothes. Please make improvements.

    The check-in experience was disappointing.

It seems the check-in machines don’t start operating until 3:00 PM, so guests who arrive early end up in a long line. Even though we’re paying for the Room from 3:00 PM, having to spend too much time just to check in is a negative start. Also, there was no explanation of the amenities and no introduction to the guest lounge, so I couldn’t use it and my satisfaction was low. The Room is clean, so it feels like a missed opportunity.

    We had a relaxing stay.

We stayed on the Club Floor and were able to use the club lounge, fitness center, and Onsen. All of the facilities were well equipped, and we were able to relax. I’d like to stay again when I just want a break with no particular plans in mind.

    It was great.

The other day, I stayed one night on the Plan that includes access to Umekita Onsen “Ren” and the club lounge (with breakfast). Some Reviews mentioned poor service, but the customer service felt average. Above all, I was glad the Hotel was very clean. The club lounge had a nice atmosphere, but it was disappointing that it was only available until 9:00 p.m. Umekita Onsen “Ren” is a great Facility and I was satisfied, though it was a bit disappointing that you can only enter once. I went to breakfast first thing in the morning and enjoyed being able to eat at a relaxed pace. There were also plenty of Osaka specialties among the ingredients, which was great. However, I felt there is room for improvement in how the food is arranged and in the variety of tableware provided. With Expo having ended and despite it being a day before a holiday, it wasn’t very crowded due to the off-season—maybe that’s why everything felt so pleasant—but overall I had a wonderful time and am very satisfied.

Please note that meals require special attention.

The building itself is new, so everything is clean. I especially liked the high ceilings. Even though I booked a plan including breakfast, I was charged an additional JPY 1,100 for my child. By 8:30 a.m. it was almost full, and several groups had to wait outside. Even close to the last order at 9:30 a.m., there were still groups waiting. It’s disappointing that it gets overcrowded and some menu items run out. Overall, I’d say it’s more “no” than “yes.”

    The review was helpful.

Having just become a limited Diamond member, I initially made a Reservation at this Hotel based on gut feeling. Then, after the cancellation deadline had passed, I ended up reading everyone’s Reviews (low ratings). There were so many harsh ones that, honestly, I considered paying the Cancellation Fee and switching to another Hotel. However, since some of them were from the early days after opening, I decided to see for myself and write a Review. As of February 2026, it may also be because there are hardly any ill-mannered inbound guests these days. I was able to enjoy breakfast at the buffet comfortably, and before check-in I could relax with a coffee in the lounge (6th floor) without any badly behaved children around. That should be how it is… What concerns me most is that despite being ranked as high-class, the amenities for standard guests feel far too limited. The Hotels I usually stay at aren’t high-class, but they offer plenty of amenities such as bath salts. In particular, I was concerned about hygiene with the in-room slippers. Since many Reviews pointed this out, I bought disposable slippers in advance; my partner was very pleased. If you’re as particular as I am, I recommend bringing disposable slippers ahead of time (especially if you made a standard Reservation). Honestly, if you’re going to provide disposable heat packs as a “thoughtful touch,” then you should provide disposable slippers instead. The staff were polite and helpful. They didn’t just stand by the self check-in machines—they were attentive and proactive. Perhaps because my room was on the 10th floor there was no view at all at night, but on the other hand I wasn’t bothered by strange noise from wind pressure or anything like that. Thanks to carefully reading Reviews beforehand, I could anticipate most things and avoided any unpleasant surprises. This time I stayed at a great price deal-wise; however, without discounts—at an amenity level comparable to (or worse than) a Business Hotel—I don’t think there would be a second stay for me.

The on-site Onsen facility was great.

The Room is newly built, clean, and offers excellent Facilities for the price. The in-room bath has a separate bathtub and shower, which is very convenient, and there is also a desk where you can eat or do some light work. Check-in and luggage storage are systemized, so unless you are staying at the club level, you may not have many opportunities to experience direct service. I especially like the attached Onsen Facility, and this was my second stay this month. It is directly connected to the Hotel and offers a guest-only rate. Overall I was very satisfied, but I’d like to share a couple of minor points: - With IKYU’s Plan that includes Umekita Onsen, you can use the Onsen once between after check-in and the end of your check-out day. However, this was not clearly stated; I planned to use it in the morning on check-out day but couldn’t apply the benefit at that time, so I ended up paying the regular fee for morning entry. - Even if your Room is ready early, early check-in is not available—you cannot enter your Room until after 3:00 PM. If you arrive early, only luggage storage is available. I really like this Accommodation and would love to stay again.

    I will not stay again.

I booked with IKYU as a Gold member, but there were no benefits at all. The Room assignment was terrible. If I’m paying the same price, I’ll choose another Hotel. It’s far from the station and the design is awful. It’s also hard to get a taxi. This is not a Hotel for business owners like us to stay at.

It’s very far from the center of Osaka Station.

    - “Directly connected to Osaka Station” isn’t exactly false, but it’s only directly connected from the Osaka Station bicycle parking/parking area, so it takes at least 20 minutes to reach the Midosuji Line ticket gates if you want to go out toward Namba. During this stay I was here for an event at HEP HALL, and it was to the point that I had no choice but to take a taxi every time. Also, there are guardrails along the road in front of the Hotel, making even getting in and out of a taxi difficult. On top of that, there isn’t a single convenience store nearby. The Hotel itself is new and clean—but that’s about it.

    Solo trip to Osaka

I had been wanting to stay here since it’s a Hotel that opened in Grand Green Osaka. The atmosphere was impressive from the 1st-floor entrance. The lobby on the 5th floor was also stylish. I stayed in a room on the 18th floor, and I immediately loved the sleek, modern design. The city view from the window was wonderful as well. Lighting and air conditioning are controlled via a tablet next to the bed. There is an guests-only lounge on the 6th floor where I could truly relax. In the evening, I visited the bar at the all-day dining restaurant on the 5th floor—dry cocktails paired perfectly with the city views. Guests receive 10% off, so be sure to take advantage of it. I was told that cash payment is not accepted. The breakfast buffet is also served at the all-day dining restaurant on the 5th floor. The selection wasn’t large, but everything was delicious and very satisfying. It’s about a 5-minute walk from JR Osaka Station, so access is excellent too. It’s a wonderful Hotel—definitely give it a try and stay here at least once!

    Excellent location

This was my first stay. Since I know the area, the location was excellent, but it may be difficult to find for first-time visitors to Osaka. The Corner Twin Room was spacious enough, with a beautiful night view, and the shower had good water pressure. It was disappointing that there were too few amenities.

Conveniently located near Osaka Station. The facility is new, and the dinner offers great value for money.

Conveniently located with good access from JR Osaka Station. Although the location was a bit hard to find, it was not an issue once we arrived. The Facility itself also seemed new, clean, and provided a comfortable stay.

    Unfortunately.

I checked in late at night and didn’t know the amenities were available in the lobby, so I was inconvenienced when I wanted to take a bath but couldn’t find any amenities. It would have been helpful if this was mentioned at check-in. The bath and shower water felt lukewarm even when set to around 42°C. The lounge didn’t have milk, so the café latte ended up being just regular coffee. While the guest rooms and location are great, I hope for services that better match the price. Umeda Onsen had excellent baths, pools, and well-stocked amenities.
