    Used this Hotel to r...

Used this Hotel to relax. At check-in: The front desk only said, “Please check the details on the in-Room TV,” and the check-in process was very brief. However, the in-Room TV information only provided the Wi-Fi details, and I could not find any information about the guest lounge. I had to search on Google to learn the hours. Overall, I felt this was unhelpful for first-time guests. Guest lounge: The seating layout was spacious and relaxing. During afternoon tea time, the coffee machine was under maintenance for a long time, so I could only have cold drinks such as juice. Later I learned there was another coffee machine elsewhere, which left me disappointed that I might have been able to use it. During cocktail time, there were many options such as red and white wine, Kirin Lager, Asahi Super Dry, sparkling wine, etc., so the selection was plentiful. Other: After enjoying some time in the lounge and returning to our Room, an unfamiliar child was standing in front of our Room door trying to open it. It seemed they had entered our Room without us noticing; shocked, we called the front desk for assistance. A few minutes later a staff member arrived, but instead of speaking with us first (the ones who requested help), they began talking in Chinese with the child and an accompanying adult. After finishing that conversation, they responded with what felt like a slight smirk, which made me distrustful. There were signs someone had been inside (an opened cup of instant noodles that we did not bring had been left there, and the TV—which we had not turned on—was on). We checked our belongings stored in the Room and asked to change Rooms; we were initially offered a neighboring Room next door. We requested a different floor instead and were moved accordingly. The Hotel may not have been at fault for what happened itself; however, during resolution we found it extremely unpleasant that staff did not speak with us first upon arrival and handled things with an expression that appeared like a faint smile/smirk. This left us feeling very uncomfortable and distrustful.

    Lounge access?

Close to Makuhari Station and surrounded by many shopping and dining options, so we had no trouble finding places to eat. The Room had been renovated, and the bathroom was spacious with a large bathtub, making it very relaxing. The view was also great, and there were no issues with the Room at all. It was a very good Hotel. It included lounge access, but it was extremely crowded and noisy, so it didn’t feel relaxing. In particular, many people were lining up for the small pancake machine that only produced one pancake per minute. During cocktail time, almost all sweets were gone and there were mostly snacks left, so I had a beer and headed out for dinner right away. Breakfast also had a lot of pre-made items; aside from the omelet station, I felt it was like a slightly better Business Hotel breakfast. Also, only the lobby floor felt dated and had a strong scent like restroom air freshener. Since the restaurant is also on the lobby floor, it reduced my appetite in the morning. That said, it’s close to the station and the Room was very clean, so if there is a Plan with lounge access but no breakfast (No Meals Included), I would like to stay again.

We had a relaxing stay in this wonderful Room.

I stayed for an event, and thanks to a complimentary Room upgrade, I was able to relax and enjoy my time. The Room was spacious and comfortable—I even stepped out of the event to come back and unwind. I had a Multiple Night Stay, and the meals changed each day, so I truly enjoyed them. If I’m ever in Makuhari again, I’d love to stay here again. Thank you very much.

    Thank you very much.

Due to a Facility issue, we were moved to a different Room. We sincerely appreciate your behind-the-scenes support for my elderly father. We also enjoyed the lounge food presentation. This is a Hotel I highly recommend!

How to Spend a Wonderful Summer Time

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days to attend a live concert by a well-known artist. A wonderful staff member kindly followed up with us for months in advance regarding the main bar we had reserved separately being unavailable, and we were truly touched by their thoughtfulness. As a result, we had such a lovely time that more than made up for not being able to enjoy the main bar. The only disappointment was that, perhaps due to the building-wide air conditioning system, the cooling was weak, and it was tough during the extreme heat... (This is due to the building’s Facility; the staff’s hospitality was outstanding.) It was a Hotel that made us want to visit again without fail.

There may be some difficulty with the shared toilet and the check-in instructions.

The shared restroom on the first floor had been soiled, which unfortunately spoiled the Hotel experience, but I was very satisfied with the Room. Also, it would be helpful to have a floor map during the check-in explanation, as I couldn’t tell where or how far to go before tapping the key card.

The location, Room, and front desk service are all excellent.

I stayed for two nights with my daughter during summer vacation, and thanks to you we had a very comfortable stay. (Luxury Twin Type-B, breakfast included) When we entered the Hotel, there was no typical check-in front desk; instead, there was a table at the entrance to the dining area where they handled reception. It felt welcoming and pleasantly unpretentious. Our Room was unexpectedly on the second floor, which turned out to be very convenient. After unlocking the glass security door with your key, you enter a corridor lined with guest Rooms. The Room wasn’t especially large, but it was comfortable, with high-quality beds that were great to sleep in, a sofa by the window, a large wall-mounted TV, and a spacious bathroom. In the first-floor dining area, there is complimentary sweets, light snacks, and drinks during snack time from 3 p.m., which was nice for taking a break when we got tired after being out since morning. It seems they also have an evening alcohol hour. I did wish the breakfast buffet had a bit more variety. If I have business at Makuhari Messe again, I’d like to stay here again.

    I stayed for two nig...

I stayed for two nights. The staff seemed insufficiently trained, and the Facility was noticeably inconvenient. 1) A large insect appeared in my Room. Although they responded with insect spray, they said “We’re sorry” in an overly cheerful tone, which did not feel appropriate. *It was the kind of insect I really don’t want to see even at home. They changed my Room, but because it was late at night, it was hectic and exhausting. 2) The coin laundry and vending machines are only in the main building. There are only two washing machines, and you cannot check availability from the in-room TV information system. 3) There is no phone in the Room, and there is only one small trash bin. 4) Breakfast has limited variety. This stay was for a concert, but it overlapped with a fireworks festival and there were no available Hotels elsewhere, so I chose this one. Since the rate was much higher than usual, honestly, if I were paying this price I would have preferred to stay somewhere else.

    Happiness

From the moment I stepped into the lobby, it felt luxurious and like entering a dream. It smelled wonderful. The staff were courteous and attentive to every detail, which made my stay very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and the complimentary snacks were a great touch. I left feeling truly happy.

I’d like to stay in another Room as well.

It felt like I was visiting an art museum! The lobby had a luxurious atmosphere, and the Room was calm and wonderful. Next time, I’d like to stay in a Room with a park view! The housekeeping staff also greeted me so cheerfully, which made me very happy! The services were excellent, and it was a great-value Hotel!

The Hotel service is somewhat lacking.

I arrived at the Hotel about 15 minutes before the 2:00 PM check-in time, but was told that check-in starts at 2:00 PM and to wait in the lobby until then. At 2:00 PM, everyone who had been waiting lined up at the front desk, and we were guided to the lounge one by one and told to wait again until it was our turn. While waiting in the lounge, I was told it was my turn, but since I had luggage, I needed a moment to get ready to carry it—however, the staff member walked off ahead without waiting. At check-in, I asked about parking payment, but the explanation differed from what another staff member told me the next day. I was only told that my Room was on the second floor; no one helped carry my three pieces of luggage or showed me to my Room. When I reached the second floor, there were cleaning staff there—we made eye contact, but there was no greeting. The Room number was hard to find, so I had to ask for help and have them confirm and guide me. I have stayed at many Hotels, but this service felt cold with no smiles—more like checking in for a karaoke room than a Hotel. The Room itself was clean, but overall it was very disappointing. I did not feel welcomed at all; it felt more like renting a room than staying at a Hotel. I had high expectations, so this was extremely disappointing.

    I felt refreshed.

I was so exhausted from work that I made a last-minute Reservation. The clean Room with a lovely view of a green park was very soothing, and the bathroom had separate washing and bathtub areas, so I could relax and take my time. The lounge sweets and light snacks were delicious, and the breakfast buffet was also excellent. When I’m worn out again, I’d love to stay with you again. Thank you very much.

    Very nice.

Last time I checked in around 7:00 PM, but the lounge truffle popcorn was so delicious that I decided to head to check-in a little after 2:00 PM this time. As a result, while there isn’t alcohol during afternoon tea time, it’s definitely when the food selection is at its fullest. The open-faced sandwiches were great, and the automatic pancake machine was especially fun—I ended up eating a lot. After that, there were also snacks to go with drinks, and even though I went back to my Room a few times, I was able to fully enjoy the lounge. Of course, the Room was clean as well. This time I had a Room with a view bath; it was on a lower floor than I expected, so it takes some courage to enjoy the view during the day, but at night—once you dim the lights in the Room—it felt wonderfully relaxing. Breakfast was delicious too, the staff were kind, and above all I think the value for money is unbeatable. The entrance staircase is apparently a famous spot; depending on the time of day there are often moments when no one is around. The Hotel’s decor and furniture are also beautiful. It truly turned into an amazing stay, and I’m glad I came back.

Meeting up with a friend after a long time.

I stayed at this Hotel in Kaihin-Makuhari to meet up with a friend I’ve known since elementary school. The staff were very welcoming at check-in, and although we had made a Reservation for a Superior Twin, we were happily upgraded to a Deluxe Twin on the top floor—my friend was delighted. There was also tea time from 3:00 p.m., which gave us a chance to relax and chat at length. I’ve stayed at many Hotels before, but this was my first time being able to enjoy tea service starting at 3:00 p.m. The automatic pancake maker was delicious as well. Since the area has many commercial facilities, there isn’t much sightseeing, but it’s become a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at again. We had a very comfortable stay.

    A Mini Resort Getaway Nearby

This was probably my fifth stay. Because it’s close to home, I don’t need to wake up early—I can head out at a relaxed pace, enjoy shopping at the outlet, unwind at the Hotel, and the next day take my time over breakfast before going to work. There are also filming locations that drama fans will love, and I think this Hotel is worth visiting even just for its luxurious lobby that evokes the Showa era. I always look forward to the club food presentation and nightcap, and Carmel’s buffet has become another favorite. My friends tilt their heads and ask why I’d stay at a Hotel so close to home (laugh), but hotel lovers go to enjoy everything—its atmosphere, service, and food. For that reason, this is a Hotel I’d like to visit again whenever I have time.

It was my first time staying in the Japanese Suite.

Highly recommended for families with young children. Our family (ages 7 to 61) stayed here, and everyone loved it! We chose the dinner-inclusive plan, and the food was delicious. The kids were a bit disappointed because there wasn’t fried chicken this time, which they had on our previous stay. For adults, everything is consistently great, so we always book with dinner and look forward to it every time. We were also happy to see the made-to-order omelets at the breakfast live kitchen back again—they weren’t available last time!

This was my first stay last year, and I loved the lounge time and the spacious, relaxing Room, so I chose to stay again this year. Once again, I was able to check in while unwinding in the lounge, and I also enjoyed the evening bar time. Even though it’s close to the station, it’s quiet. The outlet mall is just a short walk away, and if you want to eat out, there are plenty of options near the station within walking distance—overall, it couldn’t be more convenient. The Hotel staff were also very courteous and handled everything pleasantly. There’s no doubt this is a Hotel I’d like to return to.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our staycation.

I really enjoyed a Hotel stay with lounge access. I hope the notes below will be helpful for future guests. Points to note - Breakfast: The bite-sized rice balls wrapped with nori and the omelet that always show up in online Reviews were not available. - Slippers: I was told there are two types (reusable and disposable), but only disposable ones were provided (they weren’t in the Room to begin with, so I had to request them). - As mentioned in recent Reviews, it seems there may be an issue with the water pipes on lower floors, and there was no hot water. They changed my Room and I was able to stay comfortably, so all’s well that ends well. - The lobby and lounge were cold—especially the lobby, which felt almost like being outside! Maybe because of the high ceiling, the air conditioning doesn’t work efficiently. - Floor numbering is confusing. With a 4-digit Room number, the second digit indicates the floor. Is that common knowledge? Since guests aren’t escorted to their Rooms like at many Hotels, it would have been helpful if this had been explained at check-in. What was great - All staff were pleasant and responded quickly when issues came up. - Breakfast: The Eggs Benedict from the live kitchen was delicious—the bread was toasted piping hot. There were also some unique items like Greek yogurt mixed with tea leaves, which was nice. - During evening time they served amazake. There were toppings like cut oranges and yogurt as well—stylish and tasty. Extra points for serving Cava as the sparkling wine. - The bath was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed a relaxing soak in a large bathtub. - Complimentary bottled water in the fridge. Personal requests - I’d love for alcohol service hours to be extended—ideally available from check-in. - If possible, I’d love a draft beer server. If that’s difficult, could you increase the variety of beers? I love both Kirin and Super Dry, but honestly pouring domestic bottled beer for myself doesn’t quite match the atmosphere... - It would be great if amenities were more substantial. The single-use toner/lotion set is truly minimal. Body lotion would have been nice too. I rebooked several times on IKYU because prices kept changing, so I apologize for any inconvenience caused to reception staff. I’ve written quite a lot here, but I don’t think there are many other Hotels at this price point that include lounge access with alcohol service. Please continue offering an easy-to-book Hotel stay at an affordable rate.

A Short Trip for Grandma and Grandpa

There is a ticket machine on the downhill curve into the parking lot, and you can’t take a ticket without getting out of the car. The staff were very pleasant. The Room was very cold—since it’s still February, heating should be on. The Room was a corner Room with a city view, and the scenery was excellent. However, the washbasin area in the bedroom was small and inconvenient to use, and there were not enough towels. The breakfast buffet was very delicious.

    Extremely convenient and highly satisfying.

I’ve stayed in Makuhari a few times, but this was my first time here. It’s extremely close to the station—this is a big plus. And with an outlet mall nearby, you can enjoy shopping as well. The entrance is luxurious, and the lounge entrance also serves as the reception area. There are two escalators, and they arrive quickly, so there’s no stress. The Room is a comfortable size. The sink area is inside the Room, but having the bath, toilet, and sink all separated is very convenient. The bathroom has a washing area, so you can relax in the tub. There’s also a magnifying mirror next to the sink, which is great for makeup. The lighting at the entrance and in the toilet is sensor-activated. However, as others have mentioned, there was nowhere to place my suitcase. There was enough space, so it would have been even better with a luggage rack—I ended up placing it directly on the floor. I used the lounge during tea time. There were lots of small sweets to choose from, so I could try many and was very satisfied. It wasn’t crowded either, so I could relax. Breakfast was also excellent—I could really feel their attention to detail and originality in the menu items. Depending on the time of day, it was convenient that The Springs Hotel next door serves as a limousine bus stop; even if it’s cold or hot outside, staff will call out to you if you wait near this Hotel’s front desk area indoors. That day was cold with strong winds—and due to traffic congestion—the bus was significantly delayed, so being able to wait comfortably inside really helped me out. I also used Furusato Nozei and got a great deal on my stay overall."""

This was my first stay near Kaihin-Makuhari Station, and the staff were very helpful, giving me lots of information about nearby shops and the limousine bus. Everyone was kind and courteous. My south-facing Room had a pleasant view—I could see the park in front and even the sunrise rising beside a high-rise apartment tower. The Hotel was close to the station and quiet.

Thank you for your continued support.

Unfortunately, our stay coincided with the Coming-of-Age Day celebrations, so we couldn’t dine at Carmel, but we were very satisfied with the restaurant recommended in the Hotel information. Although it’s nearby, we can truly relax here, so we plan to visit again.

    It was a comfortable stay.

Thank you for staying with us in the Premier. The staff at both the front desk and lounge were very courteous, making our stay extremely comfortable. The Room was minimal but sufficient. We heard that there was an online streaming shoot scheduled in the lobby during our stay, though we were not present at that time. For those wanting to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere, it might be a concern that the lounge's Christmas music could not be heard during such events. The lounge's sweets, drinks, and breakfast were all excellent. Thank you very much!

This was my first time using this service.

The parking lot is underground, making it very convenient. There were both disposable and non-disposable slippers available, which was convenient. The bath was relaxing and helped relieve travel fatigue. The view was beautiful, and the Room was clean as well.

    This is my fourth st...

This is my fourth stay at this hotel because I like it so much. While I understand the situation, it's a bit disappointing that some of my favorite breakfast items in the lounge are no longer available, such as rice wrapped in seaweed and omelets. My child was especially sad this time as the omelet they enjoyed so much last time was gone. Choosing the dinner-included option was a great decision! There are various fairs to enjoy each time, and the food is delicious. I hope the thin fries we loved can make a comeback at Restaurant Carmel!

    I had a relaxing time.

This was our second stay, and we visited with four family members. The lounge was very relaxing, which we really enjoyed. Since it was a weekday, it wasn't too crowded and had a calm atmosphere. There were also several families with small children, but it wasn't noisy at all. The lounge's timetable content remained mostly the same as last time, with limited snacks and sweets available. During cocktail time, only light snacks like nuts were offered, so it wasn’t enough to replace a meal. For dinner, we went to the main building's lounge restaurant instead. Guests can enjoy a buffet for 2,000 yen and add an all-you-can-drink option for 1,500 yen for dinner. Although there are various restaurants near the hotel, I think 3,500 yen for both is quite reasonable. The buffet selection was average but included seasonal items like bouillabaisse and roast beef during Christmas season. The drink menu for the all-you-can-drink option included lemon sour cocktails, beer, highballs (whiskey soda), plum wine (umeshu), and shochu—though the variety was limited compared to izakayas (Japanese pubs). However, considering it's in a hotel setting with great ambiance at an affordable price point compared to pubs made up for that. We had originally reserved a luxury room but due to some issues were downgraded slightly; while smaller than expected—it sufficed just fine since we mainly used it just to sleep comfortably! Netflix & YouTube access added convenience too! Looking forward already towards another relaxed gathering here someday soon!

    It was excellent.

Stayed for one night to attend an event at Makuhari Messe. Luggage was stored in the morning and placed in the room before check-in at night. Thank you! The room was a Deluxe Twin, offering plenty of space. The truffle salt popcorn served in the lounge at night was incredibly delicious! During breakfast, the lounge had many international guests, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The lounge is spacious, so there’s ample room even during breakfast hours. It would be nice if there were vending machines inside the hotel, but with a convenience store nearby, it wasn’t an issue. I’d love to stay here again when attending another event in Makuhari!

The hospitality is beyond expectations, and the cost performance is excellent at this Hotel.

This was my first stay at this accommodation. I was first impressed by the lounge service. The services during tea time and dinner time were more than sufficient, and I was amazed by the hotel's hospitality. It truly became a wonderful stay. Additionally, I learned that this location has been used for various drama shoots. The classic yet retro-gorgeous atmosphere made exploring the interior enjoyable as well. This time, I stayed in a Luxury Twin Room Type B. I really liked the room layout and would love to stay in the same type of room again. Although I requested a higher floor when making my reservation, my room was on the 2nd floor. When I mentioned to the front desk staff that I'd prefer a higher floor, they informed me that this type of room is only available on the 2nd floor. It’s unfortunate there aren’t similar rooms on higher floors... I look forward to staying here again soon!
