    Wonderful.

    I stayed for two nights to attend a party held at this Hotel. They kindly helped me arrange a kimono to wear on the day and advised me on gifts for local hosts, which was greatly appreciated. The Room and spa were clean and comfortable, and the hospitality of the Hotel staff was excellent, making my stay in Osaka truly pleasant.

    There is a shortage of Japanese-speaking staff.

    This was my first time staying at Four Seasons. The lobby design left a strong impression, and the room was very comfortable. With abundant use of wood, it beautifully combined a Japanese aesthetic with modern convenience. What disappointed me was my experience at the spa: when I visited, there was no reception staff member who could speak Japanese well. The person assisting me didn’t know how to phrase certain explanations in Japanese while describing how to use the Facility, and said with an embarrassed laugh, “I don’t know how to say this in Japanese… (laugh).” Despite placing great emphasis on Japanese sensibilities in terms of the physical space, I felt they have not developed staff (the service side) who can explain even standard spa procedures in Japanese. Although it is located in the heart of Osaka—one of Japan’s leading cities—it made me feel, unfortunately, that they may be catering only to inbound visitors.

    This is a return visit.

    We stayed at this Hotel last year when visiting the Osaka Expo, and we were very satisfied with the services, Facility, and breakfast. This year, we stayed again on our way back from Mount Koya to celebrate my husband’s retirement. The service was just as good as last year. However, although it was partly our mistake for not reading everything carefully when making an IKYU Reservation, three of us stayed but breakfast was included for only two people. Unfortunately, that issue—together with the front desk response—ruined what should have been a special trip. It was very disappointing. I hope the details will be explained more clearly in the future.

    This was our first time staying here. After my daughter stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto, she wanted to try Osaka as well, so we chose this Hotel to celebrate her new job. Our stay on the “Club Floor” and the “GENSUI” floor exceeded expectations. I had read various Reviews, but nothing compares to real experience. Check-in at the tea lounge “SABO” was relaxed and comfortable, which was a highlight. It may be different from what you imagine for a club floor, but the tea lounge was excellent. I also liked that the drinks available change depending on the time of day. What I personally enjoyed most: ・ Check-in at tea lounge “SABO” (excellent) ・ Welcome tea (excellent) ・ Breakfast (great to have options): Japanese breakfast at SABO, in-room dining, or Jardin ・ Japanese afternoon tea (excellent) — a Reservation for your preferred time is required ・ Refreshments (I didn’t use them, but they left a good impression) ・ Evening aperitif (I heard there are three rotating light bites daily). Since afternoon tea also changes, it seems enjoyable even for a Multiple Night Stay. Activities (such as origami) are offered daily; if you’re interested, it feels best to make an early Reservation. It was a stay with outstanding hospitality that helped me understand why so many people are fans of Four Seasons Hotels. Even small details felt thoughtfully considered throughout. With larger properties, cleanliness can sometimes slip in certain areas, but here everything felt well maintained and consistently comfortable. It was such a good stay that it made me want to visit Tokyo next as well. Thank you very much.

    This was my second stay. They had prepared birthday fruit in the Room, but I noticed some black spots and reported it to the Hotel just in case. They then brought an even more luxurious assortment of cut fruit, and I felt sorry for the extra trouble. They also changed our Room to one near the elevator for my elderly mother, which truly moved her. At checkout, the manager came to greet us and even gave us a gift. As if that weren’t enough, they also arranged a car for us! It was genuinely a huge help. My message is late, but I would like to once again express my sincere gratitude for everyone’s hospitality and thoughtful care at the Hotel.

    We stayed for one night as a family. It’s a wonderful space where you can relax in peace and quiet. We especially loved the large public bath in the spa—it's rare to find one that size at a luxury Hotel. All of the staff were kind, but we were disappointed that the check-in briefing about the facilities was too brief, which left us with various questions later on. We would love to stay again.     Dream Hotel

    The Chinese cuisine and bakery here are truly delicious, and I used to visit just for the food. I had also been curious about the interior, so this was my long-awaited stay. I was able to check in at the lounge, where they made me a lovely cup of tea. Many of the staff were from overseas, which made it feel like being in an international Hotel. It was fun—they even taught me how to make mizuhiki. The room felt like a relaxing Onsen Ryokan—very calming. It has a Japanese touch while still feeling modern, and it was even nicer than I expected. The Nishikawa mattress and pillow were excellent, and I slept very comfortably. The bedding area is on a raised platform, clearly separating the floor space from the sleeping area, which made it easy to use. I’d love to do something similar at home. The bathroom had a calm black-toned atmosphere. The bathtub is very spacious—big enough for four people. This time I enjoyed afternoon tea, a dinner buffet, and breakfast—so much food! I’ve always loved their bread and cakes and would always buy them when visiting Osaka, but the salads and fish dishes also felt stylish yet delicately seasoned—not too heavy—and everything was delicious. The afternoon tea was more filling than it looked—I was completely full. Lunch and afternoon tea were slightly lively since there were many young guests and women. At night it was very quiet. In the morning there were many people, but it still felt calm. Great food really matters. I had such a comfortable stay. I would definitely like to stay again.

    We visited this Hotel for the first time to celebrate my younger sister’s birthday, and you surprised us with delicious sweets and balloons. She was truly touched—thank you very much. The design is sophisticated, the Room was wonderful, and the square-shaped bath was perfect for a relaxing soak. The pool and public bath were both beautiful, the breakfast bread was delicious, and all of the staff were courteous and attentive. Everyone said they want to come again, and we made great memories. Thank you for a wonderful time.

    It really hits you.

    Because I love club lounges, I stayed in a Tatami Premier Room with club lounge access. At first, since it’s an international brand, I thought it might be just average—but it turned out to be one of the best Hotels I’ve stayed at, with the perfect level of attentiveness that grows on you over time.

    A gift to celebrate a new baby

    My mother, my aunt, and I often stay at various hotels, and we chose the Four Seasons Hotel to celebrate a new baby. We have stayed at the Four Seasons in Otemachi before, but this was our first time in Osaka. Since I was traveling with my son, we booked a Tatami Premium room. The tatami flooring was very convenient for a baby, and they also lent us various baby items such as a crib and a diaper bin, which made our stay very comfortable. We were also delighted that they prepared balloons, a cake, Japanese sweets, non-alcoholic champagne, and even chocolates for the celebration. We also used the pool and spa—everything was clean and it felt truly elegant. One point to note is that the club lounge was different from what I expected. I had heard that tea and Japanese sweets would be available, so I assumed there would be a variety of Japanese sweets to choose from; however, it was basically one type per day. Since I love Japanese sweets, that was a bit disappointing. Also, as others have mentioned, there were many times when Japanese did not seem to be understood well. It may help to have at least one Japanese-speaking staff member on duty at all times. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay, and I would like to visit again once my son is older.     A Comfortable New Year Holiday

    I stayed at the Four Seasons Osaka this New Year’s holiday and had an exceptionally comfortable break. Although most of the guests and staff are international, soaking in the large public bath with a sauna next to the gym while enjoying the view outside truly gave me a Japanese New Year’s atmosphere, and it was wonderfully relaxing. The international staff spoke excellent Japanese, and I received outstanding hospitality throughout my stay. Breakfast was also great—the sukiyaki was delicious—and I had a perfect holiday. Thank you very much.

    This is my second stay.

    I stayed at this accommodation once when it first opened and felt dissatisfied with the front desk service, including being addressed only in English despite being Japanese. This time, I stayed for the second time to celebrate a special occasion. Firstly, the front desk service was still not good. There were no smiles, and the guidance to the check-in counter was unhelpful despite its confusing location. The check-in process itself was handled by a non-Japanese speaker, making it difficult to understand explanations clearly. The room was clean as expected. However, the bathroom located near corner windows felt very cold. Despite this, I was satisfied with the room overall. I also visited the sushi restaurant on the 37th floor and a café on the first floor. While I found their facilities impressive, it seemed like their customer service focused more on foreign guests rather than providing balanced attention. Having stayed at other Four Seasons Hotels and various luxury accommodations before, this experience left me feeling disappointed in comparison—it was unlike anything I've encountered elsewhere.

    They gave me a truly moving birthday celebration.

    We stayed here to celebrate a birthday and our engagement. After letting them know in advance, the Room was prepared with balloon decorations, a cake, muscat grapes, and heartfelt messages from the Hotel staff. The moment we opened the door, we were so moved that we couldn’t hold back tears. Every thoughtful touch felt truly warm, and we could feel how much they valued our special day. Not only were the Room and services excellent, but the staff’s hospitality was outstanding—it became an unforgettable memory. This is a Hotel I wholeheartedly recommend for important anniversaries and major life milestones.

    First Time at Four Seasons Osaka

    It was my first stay at the Four Seasons in Osaka. The front desk service, room, Chinese restaurant, and spa were all highly satisfying. After playing golf, the spa felt amazing for my tired body. The bathtub in the room was square-shaped, and I enjoyed a relaxing soak the next morning. I would love to visit this hotel again!

    It was my first time staying at the Four Seasons Hotel, and I was very impressed with the luxurious feel of the room and facilities, making it a wonderful memory. However, there were several instances where I felt communication issues with some foreign staff. Additionally, items requested via the room phone took several minutes to arrive, but when using the tablet in the room to chat in English, responses were immediate. I would love to stay again and hope for improvements in foreign staff's Japanese language skills. The pool felt slightly cold even during the day; it would be appreciated if the water temperature could be higher during winter.

    A hotel that teaches the challenges of operating a luxury Hotel.

    The room's interior and amenities meet the standards of a luxury Hotel, except for the overly heavy room doors. However, in terms of staff responsiveness, it unfortunately falls short of what is expected from a high-end Hotel. The staff seem preoccupied with following manuals and lack flexibility when unexpected situations arise. For instance, while they repeatedly confirmed my check-in time and purpose via email beforehand, guests do not always arrive as planned. In my case, I checked in 15 minutes earlier than I had informed them. It would have been nice if the front desk had ensured that the Room was ready under such circumstances. When I entered the Room, a surprise arrangement that we had exchanged emails about three times was still incomplete. Later on, another staff member rang the doorbell saying they were delivering the surprise. Instead of showing up unannounced at my door, they could have called ahead to inform me. While it seems like they added an extra item to their surprise as a gesture of goodwill from their side, if it's not something enjoyable for us as guests, it feels more like "imposed kindness." Additionally, while I was using the public bath facilities (SPA), housekeeping came in to make up (adjust) my bed without prior notice or consent. This took longer than expected; by the time I returned to my Room after bathing—staff were still hurriedly finishing up before leaving abruptly upon seeing me return! A simple question such as "May we enter your Room for adjustments?" could have been asked during check-in or at SPA reception. Afterward yet another staff member rang again asking: “Is everything alright?” At this point all wanted peace & quiet already replied politely smiling back saying nothing wrong comfortable here but wondered whether anyone genuinely shares honest feedback under such circumstances? Perhaps reports might show glowing satisfaction scores marked down somewhere internally however reality remains next stay elsewhere instead likely better suited alternative options available nearby given overall experience felt rushed premature opening lacking clear operational guidelines empowering team deliver consistent hospitality excellence envisioned initially intended ultimately disappointing outcome overall impression left behind sadly missed potential opportunity improve future guest stays moving forward hopefully addressed soon enough rectify shortcomings identified herein constructive criticism shared openly transparently respectfully offered sincerely hope taken positively spirit intended constructive improvement purposes only thank you consideration attention matter     Stay after visiting the Expo

    The environment was excellent. I used the pool and the attached bath twice. It was especially quiet in the early morning, and the view was beautiful. I also enjoyed a Chinese dinner, which offered both amazing views and delicious flavors.

    The spa was very relaxing.

    The spa was very relaxing. You can enjoy a view of the Nakanoshima area from the bath. At night, you can admire the beautiful night scenery, and it was delightful to relax in the large bathtub. The changing rooms and other facilities were clean and satisfactory. The amenities in the guest room were also of high quality and impressive. However, it was disappointing that some staff members' service was not as good as at other Hotels. That was truly unfortunate.

    Beautiful scenery

    The most disappointing aspect was the poor customer service. The lack of basic greetings left a very unpleasant impression. In the guest room, when I tried to use the hand soap, the dispenser's nozzle unexpectedly came off, which surprised me. Additionally, connecting to YouTube was inconvenient. The smell from the air conditioner's filter was also noticeable. The toilet lid was broken, and the tank seemed misaligned, giving an overall untidy impression. However, the view, bed, and bath were absolutely excellent.

    I stayed here to visit the Osaka Expo. The convenience of being close to the city expressway was a deciding factor, but the excellent hospitality made me want to stay again. I also appreciated being able to choose from main dishes for breakfast, and all the room service meals were delicious.

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. While it was more compact compared to the Four Seasons in Kyoto, the staff's attentiveness, thoughtfulness, and smiles made for a very satisfying stay. There was also a surprise cake and wine, which delighted my wife. I regret not properly expressing my gratitude at checkout—thank you so much for your kindness! Since many guests are international travelers, there were quite a few foreign staff members as well. Perhaps it's inevitable that some details or communication might not fully align... I'll work on improving my English skills (haha). Whenever we visit Osaka again, we will definitely stay here! Thank you for making it such a wonderful trip!

    Returning after a year

    We revisited after a year, combining it with a visit to the Expo during summer vacation. Last time, we stayed on the standard floor, so this time we chose to stay on the Gensui Floor. Although we arrived late after returning from the Expo and couldn't fully enjoy our time at the accommodation, we were still able to relax and rest our tired bodies. The bedding was in futon style with a two-layer structure. While different from a bed, it was surprisingly comfortable and provided good sleep quality. There was an issue with the bathroom facility in our room; however, the hotel provided recovery measures that exceeded expectations, leaving us completely satisfied by checkout. We would love to visit this accommodation again.
