We stayed as a couple. We had been interested after seeing it on the website and social media, and our stay exceeded expectations—especially the meal at LA VIGNE DINING FÛDO, which left a lasting impression. Being able to savor dining at the Hotel at a relaxed pace made for a truly satisfying experience. The Room and interior spaces were beautifully designed, and we found the scent throughout the property and in the bath amenities very soothing. The bright Room also had a kitchen, which made it feel more like staying in a vacation home than at a Hotel. It was such a wonderful stay that we’d love to return. Highly recommended.

The building and Room were very clean, and the staff treated us with exceptionally courteous and warm hospitality. The meals were French cuisine, which I don’t usually eat, but I really enjoyed them. However, the sink, bath, and toilet are all in one unit—completely in an overseas Hotel style—so guests who don’t care about the bath or toilet may be fine, but those not used to this international setup might find it disappointing. Since it’s part of the Facility, there isn’t much that can be changed now, but I personally felt a bit disappointed. Looking back, the extremely polite service and how kindly they spoke with us made my overall impression even better. Thank you very much.

A Hotel with excellent, high-quality Facilities and delicious cuisine
This was my second stay, following my visit in July. Last time I chose à la carte for dinner, and because the sauces were so good, I made a Reservation for the French course this time. The quality was exactly as expected, and I was very satisfied. In particular, the bright-red appetizer—an Amela tomato filled with crab meat—was visually striking; it was my first time trying it, and it was delicious. The pork, slowly grilled over time, was tender with an excellent bite. At the end of the meal, the chef came to greet us as well, and as someone who loves cooking, I really enjoyed hearing an explanation of the dinner menu. This Hotel also seems to be used by skiers for longer stays, and the appliances are well equipped for everyday living—from coffee you can grind from beans to high-quality robes and towels. I think it’s wonderful how consistently high they keep the quality of everything.

The view and the Facility are both excellent.
We stayed in one room with four people. The place felt almost all-inclusive, with the latest amenities—beautiful and like new—and the soothing scent of hinoki throughout the building was very relaxing. With a kitchen, plus two bathrooms and two toilets, it was extremely comfortable and convenient. We only had breakfast, but we were very satisfied with the authentic and plentiful dishes. If I had to make just one request, it would be perfect with chairs at the Onsen and in the smoking area.

Challenging Bath
Breakfast and the teppanyaki on the first day were very satisfying, and my grandchild was happy to eat a wider variety of foods than usual. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious, thoughtfully prepared dishes. We were also satisfied with everyone’s service. Thank you. However, the French dinner on the second day felt somewhat lacking: the appetizers were miniature, and the main dish did not stand out, so we would appreciate further creativity and improvement. Also, when I drank white wine it was not cold enough, so I asked for it to be chilled more, and I was surprised to be told, “Because the private room is warm, perhaps the wine warmed up.” The bathroom has a major issue. There is no shower curtain, and it is unrealistic to use the shower without water spilling out of the bathtub. I believe this bathroom ranks last among those in Facilities where I have stayed.

Early in the morning, the view of the Hakuba Sanzan from the window was breathtaking. The Room was new and comfortable, and having fas amenities was an excellent choice! The only downside was the hair dryer—it was practical, but its performance wasn’t great. The food was delicious, and the wine pairing made for a truly enjoyable time. Breakfast was also lavish and very high quality. The service was attentive, and I was very satisfied.

The green season is calm and relaxing.
[Bath] We deliberately booked two of the lowest-category Standard Twin Rooms. Higher-category rooms are likely to have a shower attached directly to the bathtub and may not have a separate washing area. When we requested a shower chair for my elderly parents, they also placed a rubber mat in the tub. The towels were plush and felt luxurious. [Room] We requested the top floor (5th), but you still shouldn’t expect much of a view. You can see the ski jump, but the residential area right in front is under construction. It might be better when everything is covered in snow. That said, the Room was spacious and very functional—and above all, spotless. It’s new, of course, but housekeeping was impeccable. I actually moved the beds myself to separate them (and put them back), and even under them there wasn’t a speck of dust. Amazing. [Dining] This was outstanding! The teppanyaki is highly recommended. We chose one of the higher-priced courses, but even the standard course might be filling enough. The ingredients and sauces were delicious across the board—only the Spanish mackerel had a slight odor. The breakfast buffet has fewer items than some places, but everything is delicious and carefully prepared. The tonjiru (pork miso soup) was unforgettable. There aren’t many bread options, so it’s best for those who don’t prioritize that. [Hospitality] Also excellent. The greeter (probably the only non-Japanese staff member we met), the female front desk staff, and everyone who guided us to our Room were all wonderful—it reminded me of classic luxury Hotels. A young man at the restaurant also kindly chatted with my parents while they were waiting for teppanyaki prep to finish; it never felt forced, and it was just the right amount of conversation. The chef was very friendly as well, and my parents were truly delighted with how enjoyable dinner was. [Overall] Because this is a pure Hotel property, there are no public facilities such as a large communal bath or gift shop at all. You’ll mostly stay in your Room or take walks outside; perhaps because it wasn’t ski season, there were no rude overseas guests or noisy children (sorry), and it felt calm—mostly adults spending their time quietly—which made it very comfortable. The price is certainly on the bold side considering there’s no Onsen, but it absolutely feels worth it. Still… if condominiums or low-rise apartments end up being built right in front, I’m not sure how that will affect things—the view really is such a shame. The teppanyaki really was incredible. We often go to places like Ukai-tei as well, but this was on another level. Thank you very much for everything. Wishing you all strength through the busy winter season!

Before our stay, they kindly helped with various requests such as arranging taxis and pickups, and on the day they also assisted with ticket arrangements and an unexpected pickup during heavy rain—we truly appreciated their thoughtful attention to detail. For dinner, we chose the teppanyaki course and enjoyed lively conversation along with delicious locally grown vegetables and meat. The Room also offered more than enough amenities, including coffee and other drinks.

A Hotel where you can relax as if you were at home
This Hotel uses an owner-owned property as a Hotel, and the Facility was exceptionally good. I rated the bath 4 only because the shower splash guard glass in the bathroom is not a fully closable type, so water can splash outside the tub area. I rated the Facility 4 only because there were no paper towels by the toilet for drying hands—just a minor point. Overall, the Facility was excellent. The quality of the towels, gowns, and pajamas was also very good. It was also great to be able to grind coffee beans and drink freshly brewed coffee. We did not order a set dinner, so we chose à la carte; however, each portion was large. The trout (said to be specially farm-raised) was very delicious, and even when shared between two people it was more than enough. The salad likewise was enough for two people. The clam chowder was also tasty and well seasoned. Like a studio-type room, it is equipped with a washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, IH cooktop, etc., making it very convenient for long-term stays.

Enjoy breathtaking views
Although it was the off-season, we were able to fully enjoy the spectacular views of Mt. Hakuba still covered with lingering snow. Our Room was a 5th-floor corner Room, so we could also see the ski jump up close. The layout and flow of the Room suited me well, making it very comfortable to stay in. Since it’s a Hotel, a unit bath is understandable, but I thought having a chair in the powder room would be helpful when doing makeup and would make it less tiring. We chose teppanyaki for dinner, and everything was delicious. All of the staff were very pleasant, and thanks to them we had an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay. It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again in another season.

Next time, I’d like to stay a little longer.
Overall, we had a very comfortable stay—thank you for taking such great care of us. Not only was the location wonderfully out of the ordinary, but thanks to the thoughtful hospitality of all the staff, our stay was pleasant from start to finish. With a kitchen available as well, we would love to stay a bit longer next time.

Thank you very much.
Your warm hospitality instantly melted away my everyday fatigue. The location was wonderful, and the Facility was perfect. For dinner, I was able to join a wine event and directly feel the passion of the people who make the wine. The food was also delicious—it was pure bliss. At breakfast, we enjoyed heartfelt dishes, including onigiri with what seemed to be yamame trout roe. The staff’s kind words throughout our stay were so comforting that it felt like coming home. We will definitely return. Thank you very much for everything.

Warm hospitality
We stayed for two nights in November during the peak of autumn foliage. As it is a new hotel, the facilities were spotless and impeccable, and all the staff were courteous and kind. We enjoyed teppanyaki for our meal, which featured an abundance of Nagano ingredients. Each dish was beautifully presented, delighting both our taste buds and eyes. It was such a wonderful hotel that we would definitely love to visit again.

Delicious Cuisine and Wine
We enjoyed a variety of dishes crafted with care by the chef. However, while the lamb dish had great flavor, it was a bit tough and slightly challenging to eat. The wine tasting plan included nine types of domestic wines, allowing us to savor the differences in origin and grape varieties, making for an enjoyable experience. Breakfast was served buffet-style with a limited selection, but each dish reflected attention to detail and was delicious. As this is a very new facility, the room was clean and offered an excellent view of the Ushirotateyama Mountain Range on clear days. Unfortunately, during our stay, the weather wasn't ideal; however, glimpses of snow-capped mountains through breaks in the clouds were stunning. The condominium-style room may be subject to personal preference—it was spacious with well-equipped amenities for comfort; however, the bathroom felt minimal in size and lacked comfort compared to other aspects of the accommodation. All staff members provided warm hospitality wherever we went within the accommodation, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay.

As a new Hotel, the clean and spacious Room was great. The meals were delicious, and we enjoyed the wine as well. Above all, the staff were very pleasant and attentive. However, the structure of the bathroom in the Room was not ideal as it wasn't properly separated, causing shower water to flow towards the sink area, which made it inconvenient to use.

I was as satisfied as during my first stay in July 2025. The friendly staff, the dinner featuring local ingredients, and the wine were just as excellent as before. I look forward to visiting again next summer season.

<Negative Points>
<Negative Points> 1. The sheets and duvet cover felt a bit stiff, making the sleeping experience less comfortable. Some parts of the Room felt slightly cramped. 2. A younger front desk staff member seemed a bit inexperienced, with slightly hesitant communication and awkward service. 3. The breakfast selection was limited; more variety would be appreciated. <Positive Points> 1. Regardless of the weather or time of day, the view was exceptionally beautiful. 2. A female front desk staff member who appeared to be in her 40s provided excellent service, making our stay very pleasant. Restaurant staff were also kind and left a good impression. 3. While dinner did not feature particularly special ingredients, it was delicious and satisfying overall.

A Memorable Gourmet Stay That Delights Even on Your Return
The previous stay was so wonderful that I revisited after about two months. This time, I made a reservation for the plan with wine tasting again. Previously, it was all-you-can-drink, but this time it was changed to an 8-glass course, which was still more than enough to enjoy. In fact, I could savor each wine carefully, making the experience even more fulfilling. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a warm "Welcome back," and their thoughtful hospitality deeply moved me. The food was once again excellent this time, and the pairing with recommended wines was outstanding. The lamb in particular overturned my previous image of it—it was so tender and incredibly delicious that it left a lasting impression. I also had the opportunity to chat with the chef about local topics, which made for a very enjoyable and memorable moment. My daughter who accompanied me said, "The food and wine were amazingly delicious; I'd love to stay here again," creating wonderful memories together as parent and child. The Standard Twin room we stayed in this time had a bathtub next to the shower booth, making it very convenient to use. I'm already looking forward from my heart to seeing all the staff members again—the chef, wine concierge, and especially the kind female staff member who welcomed us warmly. It was another highly satisfying stay!

New and refreshing!
Stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed French cuisine and teppanyaki for dinner. During my 5-night stay in the Hokushin area, I chose French cuisine three times, and this was the most delicious and modern among them, leaving me very satisfied. While a famous hotel in Niigata offered slightly classical French dishes, the French cuisine here had flavors closer to the latest trends in Tokyo, which I highly recommend. The facility is state-of-the-art, providing a very high level of satisfaction. However, I would like to point out a few areas for improvement: - Breakfast could be improved further. Compared to the aforementioned classic hotel, breakfast here falls significantly short. The omelet was also overcooked. - The bathtub is a shallow Western-style one, making it impossible to soak up to your shoulders as with traditional Japanese baths—this was quite disappointing. Regarding bathtubs specifically, Japanese-style ones are preferable not only for Japanese guests but likely for international guests as well. Please consider this during future renovations. Overall though, it was an extremely satisfying accommodation experience!

It was wonderful.
This was my first stay, and the location was beautiful. I even got to see a rainbow in the morning. The room was clean and allowed me to relax comfortably. I had teppanyaki for dinner, and everything from the vegetables to dessert was truly delicious and impressive. The breakfast buffet was also tasty, making me wish I could stay longer. I definitely want to stay here again!

The main meat dish at dinner was disappointing.
It is hard to find a clean and spacious accommodation for five people, but this place was beautiful, and the room was excellent. However, one disappointing point was the French main dish; the meat was so tough that neither elderly nor children could cut it with a knife! Although it was cut in the kitchen upon request, it felt like chewing rubber and was inedible. We were aware that this hotel does not have an onsen or large bath facilities, but we chose it looking forward to the meals. Unfortunately, our family trip ended up being ruined.

The staff's hospitality is truly comforting.
I stayed for three nights for a hiking trip. The staff were exceptionally kind, and I enjoyed discussing hiking routes and mountain stories with the male staff member in the main dining area. The hospitality from all the staff was excellent. However, there are a few points I hope can be improved for future visits: While the Onsen is nice, it would be great to have a large public bath, especially after descending from a hike. The Room's bathroom had a mountain-view bathtub but no washing area, and the shower was not very user-friendly. In my Room (this may vary), the room temperature did not stabilize at the set temperature. After three nights, staying in just one Room felt monotonous; having access to a lounge would be appreciated. For meals, I enjoyed French cuisine on the first night and teppanyaki on the second night featuring local Shinshu ingredients—they were delicious! However, on my third night, while it was French again, it felt ordinary and lacked excitement—perhaps three consecutive nights of dining is challenging to maintain variety. Despite these comments, I truly appreciate all that your wonderful staff did during my stay—thank you!

Thank you for the hospitality and delicious meals!!
A relaxing and comfortable Hotel. The staff, from seasoned professionals to younger members, provided excellent and pleasant service. They kindly recommended Onsen spots and soba restaurants in Hakuba. Thanks to their thoughtful hospitality, we had a fulfilling stay. The guest room offered breathtaking views from the window. The Facility was well-equipped, which was great. Particularly appreciated were the towel warmer, bathroom dryer, and washer-dryer. For dinner, we enjoyed teppanyaki. The live cooking experience was fantastic, and the teamwork of the chef and restaurant staff made for a very pleasant dining time. From appetizers to dessert, everything was beautifully presented and delicious—truly satisfying! One suggestion would be to expand the selection of non-alcoholic drinks to pair with meals. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of Japanese and Western options—it was also excellent. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

I had a relaxing stay.
This was a 2-night, 3-day family trip. We booked the dinner for both nights through an IKYU Plan, so initially, the meals were the same for both nights. However, after contacting us in advance, they kindly changed the meal plan to offer different options for each night. On the first night, we had teppanyaki, and on the second night, French cuisine—both were absolutely delicious. All of the staff warmly engaged with us during our meals, making it a truly enjoyable experience. They also kindly provided recommendations for outings, allowing us to make the most of our 2-night stay. Although this Hotel seems relatively new since its establishment, it was outstanding. Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for your kind support.
It was our first time in Hakuba, and we were thrilled to visit the places we wanted and see the beautiful blue Himalayan poppies. My mother was overjoyed! The Shuttle Service to Hakuba Goryu and Tsugaike was incredibly helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with freshly made galettes, omelets, and sparkling wine that paired perfectly with what seemed like homemade dried fruits. It felt so luxurious that we almost wanted to cancel our plans for the day! The Room was clean and comfortable. Cooking Hakuba's fresh vegetables in the kitchen and enjoying them in the crisp mountain air created an unforgettable dining experience. For dinner, we opted for à la carte instead of a course meal since it's usually too much for us. The wine was excellent, and we had such a wonderful time chatting—it truly made for a memorable evening. When being driven to Tsugaike by Shuttle Service, one of your staff mentioned how lovely it would be if we could spot an ermine (stoat). This adorable suggestion added excitement to our hike as we wondered if we'd see one—just like children filled with anticipation! Next time, we're hoping to visit during autumn foliage season or enjoy some delicious mushrooms! My mother is already looking forward to planning our next trip together. We love staying at places where it feels like living there rather than just visiting—and this place is perfect for that! Thank you so much for everything!

Perfect for wine lovers!
This time, I stayed with the Wine Open Tasting Plan. It was the same price as the regular plan, but it allowed me to enjoy a pairing of carefully selected Japanese wines, making it a delightful plan for wine lovers. You can freely choose from 8 types: 2 sparkling wines, 3 red wines, and 3 white wines. The staff provided advice and explanations, enhancing both the wine and cuisine for an exquisite experience. In the end, I ended up tasting all 8 varieties! The conversations with the staff were enjoyable as well, and I had a blissful time. Thank you very much!

A quiet and comfortable stay.
The staff provided exceptionally polite service, accommodating our slightly early arrival with great hospitality. The teppanyaki dinner featured carefully prepared dishes using plenty of Nagano-sourced ingredients, and the enjoyable conversation with the chef made the meal a memorable experience. The bath offered scenic views through the window, providing a relaxing moment. However, while the bathtub had an atmospheric design, it was somewhat inconvenient to use. Additionally, the lack of towel racks in both the bathroom and toilet was slightly inconvenient. While there is an emphasis on design aesthetics, incorporating more practical features could enhance comfort further. The amenities were eco-friendly yet stylishly curated, and having a fully automatic washing machine available was incredibly convenient. Being off-season, the Hotel was quiet and serene throughout our stay, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful and leisurely time. This Hotel truly adds comfort and charm to any stay in Hakuba.

A cozy Hotel with breathtaking views
I stayed at this accommodation during both the winter and green seasons. In winter, it's perfect for skiing, and in summer, it's ideal for activities like hiking to Happo Pond, trekking, exploring nature parks, or visiting Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort. This hotel is highly recommended for families and couples. The room was spacious and tidy with a cozy atmosphere enhanced by potted plants that made it feel like home. From the window, I enjoyed stunning mountain views of Hakuba Sanzan and Goryu Dake. Witnessing the beautiful morning alpenglow from the room was truly moving. The equipped kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, and washing machine were very convenient—perfect for remote work or long-term stays. Breakfast was served buffet-style with both Western and Japanese options available. I especially appreciated local specialties like soba noodles and fresh fruits from Nagano—they were delicious. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. This hotel offers a very comfortable and convenient experience. I look forward to visiting again in another season!

The understated quality is truly charming.
This was my third visit to Hotel Onkochishin, and once again, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The overall atmosphere exudes quality through tasteful design rather than excessive luxury. This sense of refinement is evident not only in the interior and exterior but also in the cuisine and hospitality. The course meals and wine were all delightful. The main dishes—chicken, char fish, and beef—were served consecutively, paired with Japanese wines accompanied by detailed explanations, making for a highly satisfying dining experience. While there are many summer retreats to choose from, spending a relaxing time in Hakuba while enjoying views of the summer mountains was truly refreshing.
