    This was my first vi...

    This was my first visit. The hotel is conveniently located near the station, making access very easy. I enjoyed the adorable dinosaur nuggets for breakfast every day during my stay. One issue I encountered was during check-in when I was asked to choose a specific breakfast time from 3-4 options due to expected crowds. Since my plans for the next day were not yet finalized, I asked if I could decide later, but they insisted on deciding immediately. When I provided a time, they requested that it remain the same for all days of my stay. While this worked for me, it made me wonder if guests staying multiple nights might prefer different times each day. For my first breakfast, when asked whether I'd prefer a counter or sofa seat, I chose the counter as it offered better views of this beautiful hotel. However, I was seated at a spot without any view. In hindsight, perhaps asking to switch seats would have been better since there were open spots with views available at that time. Breakfast had a one-hour limit which felt rushed and left little room to relax and enjoy the meal fully—even though it wasn’t crowded during that period. On the second morning's breakfast, upon requesting an outdoor-facing counter seat again, I managed to get one and enjoyed watching the sunrise over stunning scenery while dining peacefully. Nearby guests also admired and discussed how beautiful everything looked together with their meals. However suddenly mid-meal—just as sunlight began illuminating—the screen descended completely blocking out those breathtaking views entirely! On prior mornings only half-screened areas allowed partial visibility still possible; hence everyone around seemed disappointed too commenting similarly about losing sight unexpectedly like myself included! While some may find direct sunlight uncomfortable others cherish such natural beauty moments outdoors instead so perhaps staff could ask before lowering screens altogether? Overall though delicious food combined scenic surroundings deserved more leisurely appreciation opportunities ideally!

    Close to the station and very comfortable. I would like to use it again.

    Conveniently located near the station with delicious restaurants nearby. I was satisfied with the amenities, including coffee and a water purifier (a great eco-friendly touch). The Room was, of course, comfortable. However, if I had to point out a downside, it would be that there was only a shower booth (perhaps better Rooms have bathtubs). The staff provided excellent service with a pleasant attitude, but the front desk was crowded (likely due to their thorough service), and it was unfortunate that there were no additional staff to assist during busy times. Overall, I was very satisfied and would love to stay again.

    It was a good Hotel.

    The female staff at check-in was bright, kind, and attentive. Thank you for your suggestion regarding the children's breakfast. Although I initially did not have high expectations for breakfast, there was a wide variety of options that satisfied both adults and delighted the children. The food was replenished promptly, and the taste was excellent. It was even better than the breakfast at a five-star Hotel I stayed at recently. The positive impression at check-in allowed me to enjoy my stay comfortably until check-out. First impressions truly matter.

    A Hotel I Would Like to Use Again

    Conveniently located near the station, the Hotel offers great views from its high floors. The Room and bathroom are clean and spacious enough. The staff provides excellent service, and the casual bar has a nice atmosphere. I would love to stay here again when visiting Fukui.

    Recommended Hotel in Front of Fukui Station!

    This was my first time staying here for a 2-night, 3-day trip to Fukui. The hotel is clean, conveniently located near the station, and all the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a great variety of options. I would love to stay here again when I visit Fukui in the future.

    In front of the station

    Located right in front of the station, offering excellent access. The Facility is clean and stylish, and while the Room is small, it is compactly arranged with a good design. The downside was the shower room, which felt cramped and a bit claustrophobic. Additionally, having discounted access to the sports club in the same building was a great perk.

    The service was excellent, and I had no complaints. The Room was clean. However, the volume on Netflix was too low, which was inconvenient. I would like to stay in a Room with a separate toilet next time.

    Mistake

    During the August holiday, we had reserved a room for three people as a family. However, at check-in in the evening, we were told, "We apologize for the mistake; we did not prepare an extra bed for the third person. Please wait 25 minutes while we arrange it immediately." Although I was tired and wanted to lie down on the bed right away, they handed us drink tickets and said, "Please wait in the lounge." In the end, I was able to lie down on the bed after 15 minutes. However, I hope such mistakes can be avoided in line with Marriott's reputation (what if it had been an urgent guest?).

    Conveniently located near the station, providing a comfortable stay.

    It was necessary to cross an uncovered intersection in the rain, but the accommodation was very close to Fukui Station and convenient. It would have been ideal if it were connected underground to the station, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. The hotel entrance was hard to find and felt quite plain for a Marriott property, resembling more of a business hotel. The usual excitement from entering a Marriott property was missing. However, I was very satisfied with the service provided by all staff members. Their professionalism reflected excellent training by the hotel as well as their own natural qualities and efforts. I truly appreciated their courteous assistance. The room exuded cleanliness; although there wasn’t a bathtub, the spacious and clean shower room sufficed perfectly. The mattress was comfortable, allowing me to sleep soundly (the blackout roller curtains on the windows were highly effective in ensuring uninterrupted sleep until morning). The availability of purified water throughout gave me peace of mind as I could enjoy drinks like coffee or tea without worrying about running out of water supply. As someone who always needs milk with my beverages, I would have appreciated having enough milk proportionate to the amount of coffee or tea provided (there were only two portions). Additionally, there seemed to be an imbalance between the amount of coffee dispensed and cup size—it made me wonder if there might be an issue with the coffee machine itself! For future improvements when replacing cups or machines, perhaps smaller cups or machines that dispense more coffee could be considered. For lunch at SUBSTANCE on the 15th floor during Obon season’s limited-time Tropical Sweets Buffet event, everything from food and drinks to fruits and desserts offered ample variety and quantity while being deliciously satisfying. The restaurant interior was bright and clean; staff consistently cleared unnecessary plates while checking on buffet items’ conditions—ensuring guests remained comfortable at all times—which I greatly appreciated. Overall, this stay at this accommodation left me extremely satisfied. When visiting Fukui again in the future, I would love to stay at Courtyard by Marriott Fukui once more!

    I visit Fukui every ...

    I visit Fukui every year, but this was my first time staying here. While there is an elevator transfer, I felt it added to the security and didn’t mind it. The stay was very comfortable, and my son also enjoyed it. I’m considering staying again in November.

    It was an excellent location.

    The reception staff at check-in were polite and provided clear assistance. The Room was well-cleaned and had a sense of cleanliness. The view from the Room was also excellent. I would love to stay here again.

    It was a quiet and nice Hotel.

    The entrance was a bit hard to find, and we were unsure where to unload our luggage as we arrived by car. However, the front desk staff kindly provided detailed guidance, allowing us to check in smoothly. The Room was on the top floor with an excellent view. We had a wonderful 2-night stay.

    Only dissatisfied with the dining area...

    The dining area was quite disappointing. The food was very delicious and there were plenty of options, but the dishes were not replenished, leaving many empty plates. Even the person at the next table mentioned that there was hardly anything available. I understand if this happens near closing time, but I went at the very beginning of the session. I spoke to a staff member about it, but only one item was replenished while others were left empty. Even condiments were completely gone. Additionally, my plate with food on it was cleared away for some reason while I stepped away to get something else, even though I hadn’t returned my meal card yet and wasn’t finished eating. If there’s still food on a plate, it would be better to leave it or at least ask before clearing it away. As expected, none of the items from my cleared plate were replenished and I couldn’t eat them. Also, I found the wooden toothbrush uncomfortable to use... The amount of toothpaste provided wasn’t enough for two days either. Other than that, the hotel is conveniently located near a station and is new and clean with restaurants nearby. The front desk staff are pleasant as well—if visiting Fukui again in the future, I’d consider staying here!

    Comfortable

    I always stay here when on business trips to Fukui. I am very satisfied with the staff's service, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the comfort. I will continue to use this hotel in the future.

    The hospitality was exceptional.

    It was my first trip to Fukui, and I found the Hotel very convenient with its proximity to the station, shopping, and dining options. I arrived at the Hotel without getting lost, but it might have taken longer if I were alone. The interior and fragrance inside the Hotel were lovely. The Room was a corner room and very comfortable; above all, I could enjoy a panoramic view of the scenery, which was beautiful both in the morning and during the sparkling night. The Room had great design sense, and the bed was so comfortable that I slept soundly. Additionally, breakfast was excellent. The presentation was delicate and thoughtful, making it easy to serve myself. I also enjoyed local Fukui cuisine during my stay. Thank you for providing such an enjoyable experience during my visit!

    Unfortunately disappointing for a Marriott.

    To reach the Room, you need to transfer twice between escalators and elevators, which may not be suitable for elderly guests. The view from the Room is obstructed by a nearby apartment building, making it difficult to open the curtains for privacy. Despite being a Marriott Hotel, cleaning was insufficient as previous guests' hair was found in the Room. Breakfast appears well-presented but lacks attention to detail. While rice and miso soup are available, there is no Japanese tea; only black tea was offered when asked. Simply providing tea bags would have sufficed. Overall, it felt like a Marriott with some noticeable shortcomings.

    Stunning View

    Stayed at the accommodation on the first day of a four-day, three-night trip. Conveniently located in front of Fukui Station, with excellent staff service and an amazing view from the room. Will definitely use this accommodation again when visiting Fukui.

    Stayed here on the last day of my first trip to Fukui. Conveniently located near the station, with high floors offering amazing views. The accommodation is still new, so the room is clean and has a fresh feel. It was a No Meals Included plan, but there are shops nearby which was helpful. Although it only had a shower, it was comfortable without any issues. I would love to stay here again.

    The top choice near Fukui Station.

    Recently opened, the interior features state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, ensuring utmost cleanliness. The guest rooms are equally impeccable. As for the price, it offers an unbelievable value considering the quality. If visiting Fukui (or nearby areas) again, this will undoubtedly be my top choice. Wishing for its continued success.

    Please consider improving the amenities.

    The atmosphere of the facility and the staff's hospitality were truly up to Marriott standards. The breakfast was very delicious. While the rice and miso soup were tasty, there weren’t many side dishes that complemented them, so it would be nice if there were more options. The crackers were a bit stale. A whole apple was provided, which felt international, but from a Japanese perspective, it seemed inconvenient and more like decoration. It would have been helpful if there was a note saying "We can cut it for you." There were no instructions for using the coffee server in the Room, so I tried using it but found that both buttons only made espresso-like coffee, which wasn’t ideal. The eco-friendly wooden toothbrushes were appreciated; however, toothpaste wasn’t provided and would have been useful. Additionally, I didn’t expect that makeup remover wouldn’t be available. Although the TV remote had buttons for YouTube and Disney+, we couldn’t access these services, which greatly disappointed my child. As for parking, using an affiliated lot reduced the fee from 2,000 yen to 1,500 yen; however, additional subsidies would make this even better—ideally reducing it to around 1,000 yen considering nearby parking options. The bathroom only had a shower room instead of a bathtub; hence my rating is three stars. Despite these points mentioned above—the staff’s service quality along with the spaciousness and beauty of our Room as well as delicious meals—combined with perks like late checkout time or free stays offered towards preschool-aged children altogether made this stay satisfying overall! Thank you very much!

    The food in Fukui was all delicious.

    I enjoyed the breakfast and the substantial dinner, both of which were delicious. It was my first time staying at Marriott's Courtyard brand, and I noticed some differences in service quality. While some staff provided service comparable to Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, or JW Marriott, others communicated more casually, like a high school part-timer at a convenience store. I understand this is a business hotel-like brand, but I hope the overall level improves to make it an even more wonderful hotel. The coffee made with the mineral water provided in the room was excellent; however, I was told that additional bottles could not be provided. It would be appreciated if additional bottles could be made available in the future.

    Very convenient

    The Hotel is located right in front of Fukui Station. The first floor of the building houses a dining area, making it very convenient. There is also a convenience store inside. The view from the Room is great as well. People in Fukui are very kind, so we had a relaxing stay. The only improvement we would suggest is that the entrance to the Hotel was hard to find. As others have mentioned, we ended up asking someone at one of the shops for directions.

    Exquisite Dining

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. The convenience of its location in front of Fukui Station and the view from the upper floors were excellent. Access to the front desk was slightly inconvenient, possibly due to construction work on the building. What stood out most was the exceptional quality of dinner at "Fukui." From appetizers to dessert, the flavors, presentation, and plating were outstanding. In particular, the crab and eel dishes served on the second day were absolutely exquisite. The service was warm and pleasant as well. However, I found it disappointing that removing the cover from bathroom amenity containers was unexpectedly difficult due to their stiffness. Overall, I believe this is a wonderful Hotel full of charm that will continue to lead Fukui as it develops further in the future.

    Ideal for use during relocation.

    I live nearby, but I used this place out of interest and while preparing for a move. The view from the 26th floor was amazing, and the Room was clean and pleasant. I had heard there was no bathtub, so I was prepared for that, but the shower room was comfortable and didn’t bother me at all. In the future, I think it might be nice to enjoy a staycation in Fukui City occasionally to experience something out of the ordinary.

    Hotel is people.

    It was a wonderful stay. I contacted the hotel beforehand with some questions, and their excellent response convinced me to visit. The staff who assisted me on the day of my stay were also amazing, and I was deeply impressed by their service. They listened to all my requests in detail, which made me feel almost apologetic. It had been a while since I experienced such a pleasant stay—the service was perfect. After all, it's the people that make a hotel great. The room had an incredible view, and the Marriott bed provided excellent comfort for sleeping. However, I really wish there had been a bathtub. Since I plan to visit again—not as a trial stay next time—I’ll book a room with a bathtub and enjoy breakfast as well!

    A comfortable Hotel.

    I stayed for one night and two days. Located in front of Fukui Station with an adjacent parking lot, the access is very convenient. Being on a high floor, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Fukui City. The staff provides polite service, and the room is impeccably clean. While single-use may feel slightly expensive for business purposes, it is reasonably priced for two-person stays.
