    Overcrowding (too many guests), too many children, and blocked walkways.

    We stayed here to celebrate my parents’ 60th birthday, but from check-in the front desk was slow and the process barely moved forward. There were many foreign staff members, and it was difficult to communicate small details. I’d like to see more effort put into improving service quality. We were looking forward to the all-inclusive plan, but it was crowded like a food court and didn’t feel like an atmosphere adults could enjoy. Dinner also had hundreds of people, and even during the buffet it was so packed that it was hard just to get food. The Onsen hair dryers had handles that got hot, so you should switch from SASONIA. There were also only about six drying stations for the number of guests. Our Room was a triple room with a theater setup, and there was even a potty in it, so I assume children stay there too. But when I opened the large trash can in the wash area, there was a terrible smell—maybe like diapers—so I called staff and had them take it away. If odors remain, you shouldn’t reuse them. It was extremely unpleasant. Also, in any case, the elevators never come. This might be fine for families with kids who just want an inexpensive stay, but it’s not suitable at all for couples or adult trips. The only good point was the nice view.

    It’s disappointing and such a waste.

    I thought the staff’s efforts, the meals, and the service were good. However, the number of elevators in operation does not match the number of guests, so they take a long time to arrive. Also, because there are many guests and cleaning cannot keep up, I was particularly concerned about trash buildup between the lounge service area and the sofas.

    The all-inclusive package was great.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. At this all-inclusive Hotel, the draft beer in the 1F lounge after arrival was delicious. There were plenty of seats, so we could relax and enjoy it. On the other hand, in the lounge after bathing, only water and tea were available, which was disappointing, and the spacious lounge was empty. As for dining, we enjoyed it along with alcohol. The local specialty Matsusaka beef miso stew was tasty but not very memorable. I thought we could have enjoyed Matsusaka beef more if it had been served as shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, or steak. Our Room was an ocean-view twin with an extra bed added for three people, so it felt a bit small. However, the view was beautiful, and having the bath, toilet, and washbasin separated made it very convenient—overall a great Room. Overall, considering the price and service, it is a good Hotel and one I would like to stay at again.

    Great value for money.

    The value for money was good, but there were many children, so the shared areas such as the dining area, bath, and lobby did not feel relaxing; we spent our time unwinding in our Room.

    Excellent value for money

    We stayed as a couple. The all-inclusive plan offers excellent value for money. However, the soft drinks served in the lounge and restaurant tasted watered down (especially the orange juice and oolong tea), perhaps because the machines were not refilled in time. Meals required making a Reservation via mobile phone, but there was no guidance on when Reservations for the next morning’s breakfast would open, which felt unhelpful. We were satisfied with both the variety and taste of the food, and the selection of alcoholic drinks was also sufficient for us. Located within Ise-Shima National Park, it has great views, and we were able to relax at our own pace, so we would like to stay again.

    Amenities

    Since amenities like lotion are only available at the large public bath, I wished they were also provided in the Room. The ice cream was only available from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and it overlapped with dinner time, so I couldn’t have any, which was disappointing. Other than that, the food was delicious and the staff were kind, so I was satisfied. I’d like to visit again.

    The hospitality, meals, Facility, and service were all outstanding!

    Enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks in the lounge while watching the evening sky, relax in the Onsen and post-bath area, and start your day with a buffet breakfast with an overwhelming variety of choices. The Room was also thoroughly cleaned and spotless. The view of Ago Bay was outstanding. When we visit Ise-Shima again, we would love to stay here again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything was delicious.

    The meals were delicious with a wide variety of dishes, and we were very satisfied that the all-inclusive plan even included draft beer. The bath was also spacious and relaxing. The Room was large and clean. The only disappointment was that the toilet had an unpleasant urine smell. It was also a shame that the gift shop wasn’t open in the morning and only opens from 4:00 PM, so we missed the chance to buy anything. Since it was a Multiple Night Stay, having laundry facilities was very helpful. We would like to stay again if we have the opportunity.

    Close friends

    Convenient access to the Hotel via Shuttle Service bus. The Room was relaxing, and the location was excellent. There was such a wide variety of food—more than we could finish. We were very satisfied. There was also an open-air bath, and we could enjoy ice cream afterward. In the lounge, we relaxed with drinks and snacks. We will definitely come again—thank you very much.

    Family Trip

    The meals offered a great variety, which was nice. However, there were too few carts. They are essential when traveling with children, so I’d like to see more carts available and for guests to return them promptly after use. There were never any carts available whenever we went. The food was delicious, but I was concerned to see a male staff member sneezing toward the food while clearing dishes. Even if his hands were full, it didn’t feel appropriate. The bath area had soap for children, which was very helpful. The wait for the elevator back upstairs was long, and it was also hot and humid… I wish the air conditioning had been cooler. After such a nice bath, I ended up sweaty again while carrying my child… There always seemed to be quite a wait at the elevators… If there are two elevator locations, clearer signage might make it easier to find them… In the lounge, the kids happily enjoyed the snacks. It would have been even better if there were plastic cups for children as well! We’d love to stay again. Thank you very much!

    It was great.

    I usually choose a separate-type Room, but there was no baby cot, and there were no separate-type Rooms in the Japanese-style rooms. Also, if we weren’t on an upper floor, we might not have been able to use the elevator, so we chose a triple Room (and choosing an upper floor was the right decision). The Onsen had a baby bath, which was a huge help. It didn’t seem possible to manage in the Room’s unit bath, so we were truly grateful. The diaper pail was also very helpful. It suddenly got hot, but we were able to relax in a very cool Room and had an enjoyable trip. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We will stay with you again. Thank you in advance.

    They were an amazing person.

    I stayed on a Saturday, and it was incredibly crowded. It did feel a bit hectic, but I guess that’s to be expected at a popular Hotel. Breakfast was delicious, and as an IKYU Diamond member I was able to relax until 12:00. The view from Yokoyama Observatory was wonderful, and the taiyaki at Ugata Station was delicious too—I’d like to visit Ugata again. Thank you very much.

    I love this Hotel, but I wish they paid a bit more attention to safety.

    This was my first stay at this Hotel. It was clean, and the staff were very pleasant. The meals were delicious, and I enjoyed them. However, there was a small step at the entrance to the large public bath’s washing area, and I nearly slipped—it was quite scary. I think it would be safer if a rubber mat were placed there. In addition, the floor inside the bathing area felt a bit slippery, and I almost fell. There were also elderly guests with limited mobility, and I worried about what could happen if someone fell. The bath area itself was also dark; it would be nice if it were just a little brighter. Near-miss incidents are important to address, so I would feel reassured if you could consider these improvements.

    This is not all-inclusive.

    The “all-inclusive” offering felt more like a name only. There were set time slots, and there was nothing in the Room refrigerator. Because the times were fixed, it was very crowded. Despite the large Facility, there were few elevators, so we often had to wait quite a while. It was disappointing that even though we went in July, the pool still wasn’t open. However, if you don’t think of it as all-inclusive, it’s a reasonably priced Hotel with delicious meals.

    This is a Resort Hotel.

    I think it’s a very good Resort Hotel. I stayed here to coincide with a visit to Ise Grand Shrine. However, since I was hoping for a quiet, relaxing stay, it may not have fully met my expectations. For example, there were children who were not yet potty-trained in the bath, and children swimming with long hair left down… and some areas of the changing room were soaking wet… I’m also very grateful for the Shuttle Service, but the connections with other transportation options didn’t work well… and being told “please call a taxi yourself,” etc… Also, the taste of the coffee in the lounge and at the buffet… The Room and Facility were spacious, clean, and very nice. As the name suggests, it’s a Resort Hotel, so I think this was simply my mistake in choosing it.

    Because it was very reasonably priced, I headed to the Hotel casually with a plan to stay two nights and get some work done, without expecting much. I was amazed by the buffet meals and the Onsen, and I even played table tennis between work sessions to get moving—overall, it was a very satisfying three days. Guests ranged from small children to seniors, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I’ll be back again soon.

    Excellent value for money

    In terms of location, the building, and the staff, this Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The lounge is open from 30 minutes before check-in, so you can enjoy beer as soon as you arrive at the Hotel, along with other drinks and snacks. The large public bath was also very clean throughout, including the changing area, and felt well maintained. Breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style, and every dish was delicious—adding even more enjoyment to the trip. In every respect, I felt that the staff here truly put guests first. If I had to mention one small wish: the bath currently closes at 11:00 PM; if it were extended to 12:00 AM (midnight), I think even more guests would appreciate it.

    This was my first stay.

    The price was very reasonable, and it felt like great value for money. It was amazing to be able to stay for about the cost of going to a casual izakaya and then having drinks at one more place. It’s perfect for people who enjoy alcohol, but if you don’t drink at all, it might feel just okay.

    It was disappointing...

    It was disappointing that we couldn’t use the open-air bath due to the typhoon. The meals didn’t include tempura or meat, and there were too many people, which was unpleasant.

    Very satisfied

    I stayed in a Room with a projector. Thanks to the Diamond benefits, I was able to check in at 2:00 PM and check out at 12:00 PM, which was great because I could relax and enjoy watching videos in the Room. Since I enjoy drinking, the inclusive drinks were much appreciated. Waiting for the elevator was expected. I wish towels had been provided at the large public bath; I felt a bit uncomfortable having to use the same towel multiple times.

    I was disappointed that the quality of the meals had declined.

    The Room was a Superior Twin with an ocean view, and the bath, toilet, and washbasin were separate. The view was great and it was comfortable, so I liked it, but I was disappointed that the quality of the meals had declined. I visit places like Lake Hamana, Tonami in Toyama, and Lake Biwa, and while they may seem similar, the quality of the meals is different—so I hope you will give this a bit more thought.

    Great value for money — a small change of perspective

    The good points: The buffet was better than I had imagined. Aside from the pork steak being extremely tough and the noodles feeling overcooked, there were so many options we couldn’t finish everything, and it tasted better than dinner buffets at other Hotels. Since the start times are staggered and the venue is spacious, I was surprised at how comfortable and stress-free the buffet dinner was compared with other Accommodations we’ve stayed at. The donuts were decorated cutely, but maybe because they were thawed, the donuts themselves felt a bit heavy. There were quite a few staff members, and they cleared plates promptly. It was a shame that even though it was all-you-can-drink, my mother and I only managed 2–3 drinks each including the lounge. The beer at dinner is automated, so even the foam came out nicely. The Room was very clean with a blue color theme. The disappointing points: Even though most of the lounge seating faces outside, the balcony floor bricks were covered in dark moss-like growth, and there were patches of weeds that looked like they could be pulled out in about 30 minutes—this really lowered my mood right after arriving. It would be nice to have planter flower beds; if not, at least please remove those weeds. Also, since the round lounge glasses are hard to hold, I’d appreciate it if you could provide slimmer ones as well. The dark, calm atmosphere feels special and is nice, but for people in my mother’s generation (over 70), the darkness makes it hard to see. The bath on B1 (or rather the signage guiding you to it) is truly too dark to read (I saw several people looking confused). I hope this can be improved. Because of presbyopia as well, it’s hard to read small text on items like toner/lotion or shampoo—please label them with larger names. The elevators are old and close quickly. A lot of people get out first, and by the time you try to get in they close; even pressing the outside button doesn’t reopen them properly, so my family got caught several times. I also saw several other guests who looked like they might get caught too—please be careful. Overall, for our family who prioritizes food and Rooms when traveling, we’d like to make this a regular trip once a year.

    Bed Height and Footing Around the Open-Air Bath

    I was surprised at how high the bed was—it felt like a height where an elderly person could fracture a bone if they fell. When the floor around the open-air bath gets wet, it becomes extremely slippery, and I almost slipped and fell, which was scary. The place is very clean and comfortable, and I would like to stay again, so I would appreciate it if these points could be improved.

    The Room was spacious, and we were able to fully enjoy the view.

    I stayed in June. The Room was spacious and comfortable. The view from the window was wonderful, and I was able to relax. There was a great variety of food and it was very enjoyable, but the area where the food was set out felt cramped, and I was a bit worried about bumping into other guests. Still, I imagine it’s difficult to offer this much at this price, so it may be unavoidable. It was my first all-inclusive stay, and being able to use the lounge with encore service felt like a dream (lol). If I have the chance, I’d love to stay again.

    I’d love to stay here again!

    We stayed as a group of five with our grandchildren and daughter, and had a truly wonderful time. The grandchildren even said they want to come stay again next week. The place was spotless and excellent. If I could make one request, it would be great to have unsweetened sparkling water available where the alcoholic drinks are. Thank you very much.

    Grand Mercure Ise-Shima

    We visited Mercure for an Ise-Shima trip with a senior couple we greatly respect. We relaxed in the lounge with a beer, then opened the door full of excitement. Thank you for arranging, through your staff’s thoughtful consideration, a renovated Room with an ocean view. The beautiful scenery of Matoya Bay was truly soothing. Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, and we enjoyed tasting small portions of many items—our guests were very pleased. Breakfast was also fun to choose from. With desserts and even soft-serve ice cream, they said they would like to come again. Mercure is always enjoyable whenever we visit. During dinner, I spoke with an older staff member who has been here since the Daiwa era. When I mentioned that during COVID, staff stood in the banquet hall and served dishes almost like an assembly line when I stayed before, it brought back memories and made for a great conversation. All the staff were pleasant, and it made me happy to see that some have been here since the Daiwa days. We already have Reservations for Minabe and Nagano as well, and we’re really looking forward to them. Ise-Shima is close and easy to visit, so we will be back again.

    Relaxing at the Hotel was great, and I’d like to stay again.

    Great views, great value for money, and wonderful staff—I was satisfied with everything. The international staff were also excellent and assisted me politely. I had made a Reservation for a standard mountain-view Room, but they upgraded me, and I was given a lovely ocean-side Room. As an older guest, I would like to stay again just to relax at this Hotel even without going sightseeing.

    It wasn’t exactly relaxing, but we still enjoyed it and felt it was great value for money.

    I chose the one-night stay with two meals Plan, and I think it offers excellent value for money. I was very satisfied with the price (it felt very affordable). I chose a Room with separate bath and toilet, and the in-room bath was larger and cleaner than expected, which I was happy with. I enjoyed the lounge, dinner, and breakfast with no complaints. However, considering the price this may be unavoidable, but it was crowded so it didn’t feel very relaxing. Overall, what stood out to me was that there are too few elevators. Despite having a fair number of floors and Rooms, there were only three elevators. During busy times such as check-in/check-out and meal times, the wait was long and the elevators were uncomfortably crowded.

    We stayed here as a couple to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

    I stayed on Sunday. I was surprised that there were more guests than expected. First, I used the lounge. I was excited by the wide variety of drinks, but there weren’t many snacks I wanted to eat. The Onsen is spacious, but there were only about three bottles of lotion at the vanity area in the changing room, which made it inconvenient to use. For meals, there is a LINE call-up system, which is convenient, but in the end we still had to wait in line, so I would appreciate it if things could run more smoothly. Since I visited with adults only, it wasn’t an issue for me, but families with children seemed to struggle during meals. Even having a childcare service just during that time slot would allow guests to enjoy the luxurious meal without worry. Overall, it was a satisfying stay.
