    A comfortable and stylish space

    It was my first visit. The beautifully renovated Hotel interior was clean and provided a comfortable atmosphere everywhere. The Room was spacious, and the bathroom facilities were easy to use. I particularly enjoyed the generously sized tub bath, which exceeded my expectations. The lobby offered a perfect balance of an urban vibe and scenic natural views, creating a soothing experience. Dinner featured an innovative fusion of Italian cuisine with Japanese elements, which felt unique and tasted delicious. The organic farm vegetables were especially delightful, with every bite being flavorful. The pool matched the images—clean with pleasantly warm water that made swimming enjoyable. However, the public bath was slightly small, which is why I deducted one star. The staff's hospitality during meals and throughout the floors was excellent. It turned out to be a rejuvenating two-day stay that recharged my energy. Thank you very much!

    This was my second s...

    This was my second stay! I generally like this accommodation as it has a pool and is child-friendly, but all the staff at the breakfast venue were foreigners... Some staff members struggled with Japanese and couldn't answer our questions, which was surprising. We are traveling to the Onsen area of Hakone Gora in Japan, not abroad. Please ensure there are staff proficient in Japanese for better service. It was quite unpleasant.

    The dinner was delicious.

    There seemed to be many foreign staff members, possibly due to the high number of international guests. The service was flawless and excellent. The public bath felt a bit small, but the private open-air bath in the room was very relaxing and enjoyable. For dinner, you can add truffle as an option for your meat dish—highly recommended! It was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was a buffet, but the selection was fairly standard.

    Very courteous service

    Stay with your beloved dog. The staff were very polite and left a great impression. Even the farewell at the end was wonderful. The dinner was delicious, and the room, despite being pet-friendly, had minimal odor and was very clean. If I had to point out one thing, it would be that the water facilities in the room could use slight improvement. Other than that, everything was perfect.

    I had a pleasant stay.

    The overall interior was tasteful and created a comfortable atmosphere. The best part was the stone open-air bath in the Room, with flowing hot spring water at just the right temperature, which was very relaxing. The authentic tea was delicious. I felt like I would love to come back again.

    I visited again this year during the same month as last year because I was deeply impressed during my previous stay. However, I was surprised when asked at check-in if it was my first visit. It seems there is no prior investigation into whether guests are repeat visitors. The dinner, which had been incredibly impressive before, no longer felt worth traveling all the way to Hakone for and was far from creative Italian cuisine. The Service Fee is relatively high, yet plates were placed on top of menu explanation papers, and despite requesting a drink without ice, water with ice was served—this felt like third-rate service. Breakfast had changed to a buffet style, but there was no mention of this on the official website. I had been looking forward to breakfast as it had been very delicious before but ended up feeling disappointed. As for the Room, while I liked the Onsen with an open-air bath attached and chose it again this time, just like last time cleanliness wasn’t up to par. The terrace wasn’t very clean either and even showed signs of rust—it made me question whether this price is justified. Additionally, in a three-person Room where one futon needed to be laid out according to the site (which we didn’t notice), the space became quite cramped and far from relaxing. There weren’t enough chairs for three people or space around the table for everyone—it didn’t feel like a proper three-person Room at all. I invited my aunt who has been grieving after losing her daughter in hopes of cheering her up with a wonderful Hotel experience; however, our one-night stay only left us feeling disappointed overall. Even in the lounge area where tea varieties seemed unchanged from last year’s lineup—there wasn’t any sense that repeat guests would be offered new excitement or encouraged to return again. Thank you for your hospitality nonetheless.

    Apologies for the delayed review. I stayed for one night in June. Since the accommodation was renovated about a year ago, everything inside was clean and well-maintained. The onsen pool was definitely the highlight of my stay—it felt amazing! I also appreciated the mist sauna as a nice feature. However, I noticed some guests taking photos with their smartphones despite it being prohibited, and there were families swimming with large splashes around others. It would have been reassuring if staff were stationed nearby to monitor these situations. While I understand the desire to take pictures in such a stylish pool, perhaps allowing photography might reduce frustration among rule-abiding guests—though it could become overwhelming if everyone starts taking photos. Additionally, I discovered the terrace above my room's open-air bath could be opened or closed only on the following morning. If I'd known earlier during check-in, I might have enjoyed gazing at the moon while relaxing in the onsen—a bit of a missed opportunity! That said, overall this is a wonderful hotel with an onsen pool that’s quite rare even in Hakone's competitive accommodation scene. I'd love to visit again!

    The meals at this accommodation were absolutely delicious. The taste, preparation, and portions exceeded our expectations. The breakfast buffet was also delightful, with a variety of options including curry that made even the kids happy in the morning. The pool was spacious, clean, and provided great enjoyment for us. All the staff were friendly and kind—thank you for your hospitality!

    It was a clean and comfortable Hotel.

    This was my first time using this accommodation. The stylish and open-feeling room and lobby were just as shown in the photos during the reservation process, which was very nice. However, during check-in, despite having reserved under my name (female), when I mentioned my last name while standing next to my boyfriend, the staff mistakenly confirmed a different male guest's name (likely someone with the same last name staying on the same day). I understand there was no ill intent from the staff, but it seems that when couples or married pairs check in together, there is often an assumption that reservations are made under a male's name. Expanding awareness on this matter could make it more comfortable for many guests in the future. The staff member assisting us was very kind and there were no issues with their service itself. Additionally, since "relaxation" seemed to be a theme here, I had high expectations for the sauna when making my reservation. However, I was disappointed to find that there wasn’t a cold bath in the public bath area. It seems that using the relaxation terrace requires separate access from the baths; this aspect felt slightly unclear. Other than these points, everything else was comfortable! Both dinner and breakfast were creative and enjoyable. The all-you-can-drink beverage selection offered great variety and was fantastic; being able to take home a tumbler as part of their service was also delightful. Overall, it’s a wonderful hotel where I'd love to stay again! Next time, I hope to enjoy both baths and sauna facilities separately!

    A Relaxing Getaway to Hakone During Your Work Break

    The renovated exterior and interior have a completely different atmosphere, but the unified interior space was truly stunning. The spacious Room felt nothing like the stress of rooms feeling smaller than they appear in photos—it was impressive! The large bathtub allowed for a relaxing soak. The staff provided excellent service, making it a truly relaxing experience both mentally and physically. My companion also mentioned that this was the best Hotel they had ever stayed at. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much!

    Very satisfied

    Located in the mountains of Hakone, access roads can be slightly challenging. This accommodation is small to medium-sized, with no large groups, ensuring a pleasant guest atmosphere. Meals are rich in vegetables and well-balanced. While dinner does not use particularly luxurious ingredients due to pricing, the fresh and high-quality ingredients are stylishly prepared with just the right portions. It may not suit those who prefer strong flavors or large portions. Facilities include an Onsen, pool, tennis court, and a well-maintained lawn garden. The chic architectural style evokes the feel of an old Imperial Hotel nestled in the forest. A place worth visiting every year!

    The worst accommodation

    The stay here was the worst experience. First, ① The cleaning was not thorough. The large public bath and private open-air baths were full of insects and spider webs, making them unusable. ② The staff's level of service and ability, especially their response, was appalling. At 3 a.m. on the night we stayed, the fire alarm went off with a very loud sound for about 30 minutes without being addressed. Concerned about what was happening, I went to the reception area where around 30 people had gathered seeking an explanation—families with children who had been woken up by the alarm included—but there was no one present at all. Once the alarm stopped temporarily, everyone returned to their rooms without any explanation provided; not a single staff member appeared during this time. Unable to sleep afterward, I stayed in the lobby until finally one staff member came out and asked if everything was okay. They claimed they couldn’t come out earlier because they were busy answering calls at reception and contacting emergency services—but even if that’s true, someone should have come out briefly to explain what happened! It seemed more likely that there simply wasn’t anyone available. As if this wasn’t bad enough already: when heading to breakfast in the morning at their restaurant area—a Japanese male employee with longish hair and an unfriendly expression (I’ll be reporting his name directly as part of my complaint)—seated our group of five adults across three separate two-person tables instead of accommodating us together despite being informed beforehand about our party size! When we requested for tables to be joined together properly? He sighed loudly before slamming them into place against walls noisily without saying another word before walking away rudely… Absolutely unfit for hospitality work! Other guests nearby whispered among themselves wondering “What’s wrong with him?” leaving everyone feeling uncomfortable. Finally—the checkout process: after expressing dissatisfaction regarding poor service overall earlier during check-out itself—I later reviewed billing details inside my car only discovering unauthorized charges mistakenly added onto final invoice requiring follow-up phone call clarifications afterward confirming errors made again by incompetent team members involved here too! This accommodation doesn’t deserve any Service Fee whatsoever given how poorly managed everything remains throughout entire experience encountered firsthand personally witnessed repeatedly ongoing issues unresolved previously mentioned Reviews ignored entirely evident lackluster attitudes displayed consistently amongst employees working onsite currently employed presently altogether     It was a clean Hotel.

    We visited this accommodation for the second night of our Hakone trip. Since it was during the Obon holiday and many guests were staying, we felt that the timing between dishes during dinner could have been a bit quicker. The next dish took time to arrive, while the children's menu was served quickly, resulting in a significant time gap in finishing meals. The pool was clean and enjoyable to use. As expected from a thermal pool, the water temperature was just right.

    Discovered a high-potential Hotel

    Visited to fulfill the wish of a first-grader wanting to go to a pool and the parents' desire to escape the intense summer heat. The staff had wonderful expressions, and while it was a quiet accommodation, it had a warm atmosphere. The design and ambiance of the front desk, bar zone, and sofa space near the entrance were excellent. As someone who likes high chairs, their presence was appreciated. The large glass windows beyond the sofas provided a great view of the garden outside. Since it was summer, visiting the garden at night is recommended. Although there were only tables and chairs with no one around, lighting on the plants seemed well thought out for an incredibly comfortable experience. The well-maintained landscaping on-site was particularly impressive. The pool turned out to be an onsen, which kept our child entertained for hours. Surprisingly few people were using it. We stayed in a room with an open-air bath; its balcony was much larger than expected—a pleasant surprise! Having been renovated just a few years ago, even areas prone to dirt remained clean and made for a comfortable stay. It would be nice if they expanded their bar offerings further. While they had coin-operated wine dispensers commonly seen elsewhere, portions were smaller than expected with limited options available. Ideally, turning sofa spaces or bar counters into lounge-like areas where orders could be placed would enhance this experience significantly. On another note: The herbal teas produced within their grounds offered unique flavors that we found delicious—my wife mentioned she would have purchased them if sold in their shop. As for public baths: It seems major changes couldn’t be made from previous accommodations; there’s one indoor bath alongside one outdoor bath without any notable new features discovered during our visit. This stay included breakfast only; dinner consisted of convenience store cup noodles eaten in-room instead. Though not mentioned in past reviews—it’s worth noting that having access to microwaves at this hotel makes reheating convenience store meals quite practical! Regarding breakfast: The buffet area felt cramped—more space would’ve been ideal since limited room resulted in fewer food options overall compared against typical buffets elsewhere leading towards lower satisfaction levels here specifically during mornings. Suggestions include staggering start times or utilizing spacious gardens by adding shaded terrace seating arrangements outdoors as potential improvements moving forward!

    The indoor pool is excellent.

    I stayed in a twin room with an open-air bath for one night with my 3-year-old, 6-year-old, and myself. The indoor onsen pool was incredibly relaxing, and we enjoyed it thoroughly for two days! However, please note that there is no lifeguard at the pool. The pool has varying depths, and my 3-year-old almost had an accident. It’s better to use a float or stay within the fenced shallow area, though it’s narrow. The Italian dinner looked beautiful but... While the trout appetizer was good, the pasta and chicken main dish seemed more focused on presentation than taste—just being honest. As other reviews mentioned, this hotel seems catered more towards international tourists. That said, I was surprised that medium-rare beef steak was served as part of the kids' meal for elementary schoolers! It seemed very delicious as even my 3-year-old ate it enthusiastically. The tomato sauce pasta and bread were also well-received. In terms of service: towels were readily available at both the pool and baths; laundry facilities (including drying) were completely free; coffee and sparkling water were offered as free drinks—all of which were great perks! Breakfast was crowded but satisfying with tasty smoothies and homemade pudding. However, beer could only be brought to rooms in bottles while draft beer was limited to the lounge—this kind of information would have been helpful to know beforehand. If there’s a good deal on a plan in the future, I’d love to return just for the pool!

    The Standard Twin Room was spacious and comfortable. Many of the staff were foreigners, and they kindly assisted us with cheerful smiles, doing their best to communicate in Japanese.

    This is my second stay since last month.

    This was our second stay, following last month. Although we booked two rooms under the same name and through the same site, it was disappointing that during check-in, we were treated as if it was our first stay and there was no explanation about changes to the breakfast menu. We would have appreciated explanations tailored to our room or family composition rather than just following a manual. For example, since we brought a pet, more detailed guidance on how to access the dog run would have been helpful. Additionally, as we had children with us, clearer information about the pool would have been appreciated. A bit more attentive hospitality at the front desk would enhance the experience. Apologies for this critical comment. On a positive note, all of your dining staff were very attentive and accommodating. We felt comfortable even with children present and appreciated their thoughtful explanations regarding my husband's interest in alcohol as well as their timing in serving meals. The food was delicious again this time. Hakone has wonderful Onsen facilities and I believe many people wish to make it their regular accommodation spot; hence I wanted to share my thoughts here. The staff's service upon departure was also excellent!

    It was a good Hotel.

    The Hotel was very clean, possibly because it was recently renovated. It was already a compact and good Hotel before, but now it has become an even higher-quality Hotel. The meals were prepared with great attention to detail, making them enjoyable and delicious. I would love to stay here again.

    Delicious vegetables from our home garden!

    The larger the Hotel, the lower the quality of the breakfast buffet. Especially with inbound guests, I was frustrated by behaviors such as putting bread in personal bags, filling thermoses with drinks, and speaking loudly. I was looking for a medium-sized Hotel where I could relax quietly. This Hotel, which my wife found, had excellent staff service and delicious vegetables from their own garden—so good that even I, who dislike vegetables, enjoyed them. The creative Italian dinner was beautifully arranged in a Japanese style and very tasty. I’ve added this to my "Hotels to Visit Again" category. We had a wonderful time here—thank you!

    Delicious Creative Italian Cuisine

    This was my first visit. The creative Italian cuisine was incredibly delicious, and the wine offered excellent value for money. In the morning, the vegetables were very fresh and tasty, and the hydrogen-roasted coffee, a first in Kanagawa Prefecture, was also exceptional. Above all, the staff were attentive, kind, and provided outstanding hospitality, making it a very comfortable stay. The only downside was that while there is a sauna in the large public bath area, there is no cold plunge pool available.

    A quiet Resort Hotel surrounded by nature

    As a Hotel that was renovated about a year and a half ago, the exterior showed its age, but the interior areas we could see felt about 90% refurbished and were very clean. We used the shuttle bus from Gora Station by Reservation, and we appreciated how flexibly you accommodated same-day changes. The free-flow drink bar in the building was very convenient, and we still use the tumbler we took home! The restaurant is not very large, so depending on what time you go for breakfast there may be a short wait for a few groups, but the vegetable-focused offerings were satisfying. Around Hakone there were many inbound visitors, but on our stay at this Hotel it seemed to be only about 20%. With a limited number of rooms it was quiet, yet we could enjoy the pool and Onsen and spend a peaceful time. Thank you very much!

    A special Hotel where you can enjoy a comfortable time and space.

    The hotel has been newly rebranded, so while the exterior of the building feels slightly old, it is spacious, solid, and exudes a calming atmosphere. Upon entering the hotel, the lobby offers a wonderful space that feels like a world apart from daily life. It is simple yet provides a relaxing place to unwind. I arrived a bit early, but the front desk smoothly accommodated an early check-in without any stress, which was great. The room and restaurant also had a simple design without being overly elaborate, creating an ever-present sense of calm and comfort—perfect for forgetting daily life and enjoying special moments in peace. The Onsen and pool were not particularly large or flashy but were cozy enough to provide excellent relaxation for tired bodies. The restaurant meals focused on fresh homemade vegetables with healthy dishes that were all incredibly delicious and impressive. This is truly a hidden gem of a hotel where you’ll want to return whenever you feel tired from everyday life. Thank you very much!

    Good luck with your cleaning!

    Overall, it was a satisfying stay. However, there were significant differences in staff service depending on the individual, so please work on improving training. I also noticed some cobwebs and areas that were not properly cleaned, so please focus on cleaning the rooms and facilities.

    I had a relaxing time.

    The Italian course dinner and breakfast were delicious, highly recommended for women and young people. The hot spring quality was excellent. The staff were all kind, allowing us to spend time in the lobby before check-in and letting us into the room early, which we greatly appreciated. This time, we stayed as three sisters, but we have already made a reservation for a family trip during summer vacation. Looking forward to it!

    We had a wonderful time.

    The front desk staff were incredibly attentive and took great care of us. We had a wonderful time. The high level of privacy made it the perfect environment to relax both mind and body. The breakfast was made with fresh ingredients and of excellent quality, leaving us fully satisfied. Spending time in such a calm space allowed us to recharge our energy.
