    The lounge on the 10th floor is wonderful.

    The view from the lounge was wonderful, and the seating was spacious and comfortable. You can also enjoy complimentary drinks at the bar. The large public bath in the Onsen was amazing during the day, with a great view of the lake. Honestly, both the service and the meals were very good. This is an Accommodation I would highly recommend for couples’ trips.

    Satisfied

    This was our second stay since last year. We stayed for the first time last year and were satisfied in many ways, so we returned again this year. We love family trips and have stayed at various Hotels across the whole country, including a certain H resort, but my wife says, “Other than here and a certain attraction-facility-operated Hotel in Chiba, I don’t want to repeat anywhere else.” I agree—last year I was a bit bothered by insects in the open-air bath, but this year it was properly cleaned and I was impressed (given the location, insects seem unavoidable, so I even wondered how you managed to prevent them almost completely). All staff members were pleasant as well, and it felt like training and operational guidance are thoroughly implemented. Above all, I truly admire that the cleanliness of the Facility, the meals, and the service level we experienced last year have been maintained. The only comments from my family (my wife) were that while it’s fine for my height, the open-air bath is a little deep for elderly guests or children (especially females), and that there is only one indoor elevator. Both seem structural issues so they may be difficult to change. Lastly, please continue serving udon at night—my daughter said she definitely wants to have it again next time. Personally I’m also curious about another group Hotel (Hotel New Awaji), but as a family we’d like to return again next year.

    Your go-to summer accommodation

    Every August, we stay here each year while visiting our family grave. Since we travel with our dog, we always choose a cottage. Our dog has gotten used to the dog run and had a great time running around. Our sixth-grade grandchild jumped right into the pool, and the nearby baths are another favorite. Everything has a lake view—this is a wonderful Hotel. We can always use the lounge on the 10th floor, and the welcome dessert is delicious every time, which makes us very happy. All of the staff provide excellent service and kindly accommodate us without showing any displeasure, even when we make unreasonable requests. We will be back again next year.

    Highly satisfied!

    This was my second stay. I thought it was amazing last time, but this time was even better!! The building is very clean, and everything is spotless wherever you look. The eggplant soup at dinner was shockingly delicious!! The crispy grilled tilefish is unbelievably good no matter how many times I have it. All the staff were smiling, kind, and attentive. We really appreciated all the thoughtful help during both dinner and breakfast. On our way out, a gentleman who seemed to be the manager was also very helpful—I can’t thank you enough. This is an Accommodation I can recommend to everyone. Thank you very much. We’ll be back again.

    What are the issues?

    During meals, the manager helps clear the dishes and chats with guests around the tables. This welcoming atmosphere carries through to the rest of the Hotel staff as well. Of course, both the food and the Facility are excellent! We’ll be back.

    The best Accommodation I’ve ever stayed at.

    It was a truly satisfying trip. My family felt the same, and there wasn’t a single disappointing thing. We’ve stayed at various Hotels with our dog, but everything here—cleanliness, food, hospitality, and service—was outstanding! Above all, the view of Lake Biwa was so beautiful that I found myself wishing I could stay here forever while taking it in. There aren’t any more places in Shiga Prefecture we want to visit as tourists, but we’d love to come back again just for this Hotel.

    We would love to stay again.

    It was a wonderful Hotel where we could truly enjoy Lake Biwa. The Room offered a panoramic view of Lake Biwa and felt incredibly open and airy. The interior also had a luxurious touch, and we genuinely enjoyed spending time in the Room itself. All staff provided excellent service, proactively checking in with us, so we never had any trouble during our stay. The Onsen was especially memorable. The water quality was excellent, and the view of Lake Biwa from the open-air bath was exceptional. On the day we stayed, a crescent moon reflected on the lake’s surface, creating an enchanting scene. The amenities were also high quality. We were very satisfied with the all-inclusive lounge as well. With its high ceiling and spacious atmosphere, enjoying drinks freely while looking out over Lake Biwa was simply perfect. Dinner’s full-course Omi beef meal was outstanding—so much so that it felt like great value for what you get. There was also an impressive selection of drinks, and we were especially happy to see many local sake options available. They paired beautifully with the fresh ingredients. Breakfast was a buffet featuring locally sourced ingredients with plenty of variety. The restaurant had ample seating, so we could dine comfortably without waiting while enjoying views of Lake Biwa. If I had to make one request: since most Rooms are designed primarily for two guests, it would be great to have more options that make it easier for families of four with older children to stay together. Also, if there were a Plan without dinner available, it would make Multiple Night Stay visits more flexible—for example, dining out one night during the stay. For that reason, we changed our planned two-night stay to one night this time—but after actually staying here, we regretted not booking Multiple Night Stay because it truly is such an excellent Hotel. Next time, we would definitely like to return for a Multiple Night Stay.

    It was a fun trip.

    We visited again this summer vacation at everyone’s request. The Room was spacious, there was a dome, and even a pool—and the kids could get excited without being scolded (haha). There were massage chairs, and every Room had a TV where we could watch YouTube and more. They also prepared plenty of delicious coffee for us. We enjoyed an amazing feast until we were completely full, plus a surprise cake. The yokai quiz, late-night udon, running around on the lawn, and taking a bath while looking at countless stars and a beautiful moon—there’s nowhere else this close by where both adults and children can be so satisfied! We were also happy that everyone remembered our favorite staff member we see every year. We were told it was their day off and said how disappointing that was—then they surprised us by coming to greet us the next morning before we left. The kids were thrilled to hand over the letters they brought and to chat together! Thanks to your warm hospitality, we made wonderful summer vacation memories again this year. Thank you very much.

    An Accommodation You’ll Want to Return To

    We stayed for one night on a family trip. The space was clean and stylish, and the other guests were well-mannered. We felt very relaxed. The staff all seemed to be working happily, and we became fans of Biwafront. It was a shame that the welcome sweets in the lounge were only mini-sized. We hope you will stock Club Harie products in the shop! We’ll be back!

    We had a wonderful time.

    I stayed one night at the dog-friendly villa with my daughter. Both the Room and the meals were truly excellent. As rumored, the staff’s service and hospitality were outstanding, and we had a very comfortable stay. The weather wasn’t great, so we couldn’t see the sunset or starry sky we were looking forward to, but I’d love to come back for another try. We were very satisfied with both the view from the lounge and the service. It would be even better if there were more amenities for women in the Room.

    Excellent.

    The Room was well equipped, very clean, and the view was outstanding. They even provided an accessible shower chair in the bathroom for a family member with health issues. We didn’t end up using it because they weren’t feeling well, but we truly appreciated the consideration. The meals felt just right in both quality and portion size for middle-aged adults. The lounge was quiet and relaxing—perhaps thanks to the guests—without any loud, party-like drinking. The large public bath isn’t very big, but it has a great view, and it was wonderful to sit in the tub and enjoy Lake Biwa. The post-bath relaxation area is also spacious and comfortable. Starting with the manager, most of the staff were kind and cheerful; from arrival guidance to escorting us to our Room, as well as at the dining venue and in the lounge, we had no unpleasant experiences at all. Although it’s quite far from home, this is a Hotel I definitely want to visit again, and I would recommend it to others. It was an Accommodation where both people and Facility were friendly toward guests with disabilities.

    Unforgettable Memories

    We stayed with our dog to celebrate our third daughter’s birthday. The service was excellent—this was the best Accommodation we’ve ever stayed at!! We chose the BBQ, and dinner while watching the sunset over Lake Biwa was amazing. Dogs are allowed on the 1st and 10th floors, so we could relax and enjoy a beer. We’d love to come again.

    Second stay

    This time, we stayed one night in a dog-friendly villa with an open-air Onsen bath (private rental). (Last time, it did not have an open-air bath.) The Room was spacious, and it was great to be able to use the open-air bath anytime. The meal was a room-service dinner (kaiseki bento), well balanced and very satisfying. It was windy that day, but we had a wonderful time with our pet dog at the dog run and in the Room as well. The private breakfast room also offered a panoramic view of Lake Biwa, which was excellent. We would love to stay again when we have the chance.

    Excellent hot spring water quality!

    About a 1.5-hour trip from Nagoya City. We arrived a little early (13:00). The lounge opens at 14:00, so we were the first to enter. Alcohol options included beer, white wine, and sparkling wine, and the desserts and snacks—nuts, kaki-no-tane rice crackers, etc.—were more than satisfactory. That said, my wife was a bit disappointed there wasn’t any red wine (laugh). After being shown to our Room, we went straight to the open-air bath in the Room. The mildly alkaline water made our skin feel wonderfully silky! If you ask the front desk, they can adjust the water temperature in 1°C increments. Since it was hot outside, we set it to the coolest setting—it was so comfortable we didn’t want to get out. The large public bath was set at 40°C and 39°C—just right. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The staff’s smiles easily exceeded IKYU’s star ratings for us. It’s a very good Hotel, highly recommended.

    Our family of four s...

    Our family of four stayed for two nights in connecting Rooms. From our Room, we enjoyed beautiful views of Lake Biwa and different sunsets each day. The large public bath was also wonderful, allowing us to relax and recover from our travels at a leisurely pace. During our stay, we were able to unwind with complimentary drinks in the 10th-floor lounge as many times as we liked. The staff kindly spoke to us throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. Thank you very much for your heartfelt hospitality.

    A Wonderful Stay

    The Room had a lovely terrace. We enjoyed sweeping views of Lake Biwa and were able to take in the sunset and the calm morning lake scenery to our heart’s content. In the garden, with the setting sun as a backdrop, a Hotel staff member kindly took beautiful photos for us—making it a wonderful memory. Dinner featured delicious, thoughtfully prepared dishes using local ingredients. The chef’s special funa-zushi was especially outstanding. Breakfast was not a typical buffet; each ingredient felt high-quality, and everything was delicious. The Onsen was also very relaxing, and we could soak slowly while enjoying the view of Lake Biwa. The staff were welcoming and attentive, guiding us with bright smiles, which made our stay very pleasant. The reason for 4 stars for amenities is the loungewear and duvet: the loungewear is well-made and comfortable to wear, but it felt stiff when sleeping and made it hard to rest—so having separate pajamas would be appreciated. The duvet was also quite warm for this season (more like winter bedding), so it felt too hot to sleep comfortably. A lighter summer quilt would make sleeping much more comfortable. Everything else was truly excellent, and we had a very comfortable stay overall. We would love to visit again in another season. Thank you very much.

    Lake Biwa is the best.

    We were very pleased with the attentive staff and the Hotel’s kid-friendly facilities, such as the pool and basketball. The extraordinary panoramic view of Lake Biwa was truly satisfying, and we would highly recommend it to everyone.

    It was a comfortable Hotel!

    I was able to stay at this Hotel on a weekday in April, even though it is always fully booked. The Room facing Lake Biwa was bright, spotless, and spacious enough to be very comfortable. The top-floor lounge was also pleasant, and I enjoyed a relaxing time there. I found the young staff’s earnest service genuinely heartwarming. It was a pity that it was cloudy on the day of my stay so I couldn’t see the sunset, but I would love to visit again.

    A Hotel where you can enjoy a very comfortable stay

    From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warm smiles. Check-in was smooth, and we were delighted to find our Room clean and spacious.\n\nUnfortunately, the rainy-season skies meant the view from the terrace was gray, and it was hard to tell where the lake ended and the sky began. Still, with the surrounding quiet and birds occasionally gliding across the water’s surface, we felt a wonderfully soothing sense of calm.\n\nThe lounge was pleasantly uncrowded, and we relaxed while enjoying alcohol and coffee as we took in the tranquil scenery.\n\nDinner featured a thoughtfully crafted menu; in particular, I was impressed by how delicious both the soup and fish dish were.\n\nBreakfast also started with cheerful greetings from the staff, and there was a great variety to choose from.\n\nThank you to all of your kind staff members—and to your friendly manager—for a memorable day. It was a wonderful Hotel!

    Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great.

    Although we were disappointed that we couldn’t see the sunset over Lake Biwa, thanks to everyone’s warm hospitality we were able to relax and enjoy a wonderful time. Thank you very much. I have a question about the dinner menu: are the main fish and meat dishes fixed? The scale-grilled fish and the lava-stone grill They were the same as when we visited last September, so I was a bit surprised.

    We were very satisfied.

    The facilities were excellent and very clean, and the complimentary drinks in the observation lounge were plentiful. The meals were also delicious. All of the staff were very kind, and perhaps because it was a quiet time, we were guided to the lobby rather than the front desk after arrival. It was my first time checking in while relaxing in a comfortable seat. I have stayed at many places, but this was truly the best Hotel I’ve experienced.

    It was very good!

    Because the Hotel was described as being right by Lake Biwa, I decided to stay there—I was visiting Shiga Prefecture for the first time and wanted to see Lake Biwa as well. All of the Hotel staff were very kind, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. It’s a truly wonderful Hotel! The meals were excellent, with great attention paid even to the tableware, and I’d love to visit again—hopefully during the autumn foliage season next time. Whenever I asked questions, everyone gladly took the time to explain. The Room was kept very clean, and the bath was fantastic; the lawn in the garden seen through the window was beautiful. It’s a Hotel I definitely want to return to.

    A Comfortable Hotel

    Even though it was only June, it felt like midsummer heat. After visiting Hikone Castle, we arrived at the Hotel completely exhausted. We took a bath right away and finally relaxed. The food was delicious, and all the staff were very kind, so we had a comfortable stay. Next time, I think late autumn would be nice.

    My favorite place around Lake Biwa

    I love Hotels and have stayed at many around Lake Biwa, but this is my favorite so far. It’s often fully booked and I can’t make a Reservation, which is disappointing. While I’m still able to drive, I’d like to visit as often as possible. As someone who is shy around strangers, I’m not very comfortable when staff speak to me frequently. Please remember that there are guests like me too.

    Indulge in Luxury

    Second stay. I love the top-floor lounge. Just enjoying draft beer and snacks while gazing out over Lake Biwa right in front of me is so refreshing—I lose track of time. Both the indoor and outdoor Onsen let you soak while looking out at Lake Biwa, which makes me very happy. The Onsen is clean and well stocked with amenities, and I was very satisfied. The spacious post-bath area is also wonderful, and the complimentary drinks are healthy and nice. The Room is spacious and excellent. The staff who guided us to our Room (cart service and dinner) were very friendly, which was great. At breakfast, the staff were friendly during my previous stay—both the person grilling fish and the person guiding guests—but this time they were not friendly at all, which was a noticeable difference. Because it’s my favorite Hotel, I’ve already made my next Reservation.

    We brought our dog with us. The Room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. We also enjoyed the dog run. For dinner, we chose a BBQ on the terrace, and there was so much food we couldn’t finish it—we were completely full. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of options, and everything was delicious. We found two centipedes on the terrace the next morning. There was insect spray provided, so we used it, but they hid. The staff were kind and helpful, and they took photos for us when we checked out. The large public bath had a great view, and the hot spring water quality was excellent. We’d love to visit again in a different season.
