Enjoy a relaxing, laid-back stay.
After swimming in the sea, we enjoyed sparkling wine and draft beer in the Executive Lounge at 2:00 p.m. before check-in. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath with my grandchild and daughter. I expected Child Sharing Existing Bedding with my grandchild, but an extra bed had been prepared. In the lobby, coffee beans were available at any time so guests could make coffee whenever they liked, and pleasantly scented bath salts were also provided. Although we did not use it, there was also a washing machine with detergent and fabric softener available. The view from the Room was wonderful, so we were able to spend a very pleasant day.

A Sky Full of Stars
Astronomical observation started at 9:30 p.m., and I joined. I don’t usually look at the night sky and I’m not particularly knowledgeable about constellations, but I was truly moved by the star-filled sky. The Hotel staff were very kind, courteous, and easy to understand, and their wonderful explanations made it an amazing experience. The beach—often called the “Hawaii of the Seto Inland Sea”—was also stunning, with white sand and views of Ehime in Shikoku in the distance; it was a perfect location.

I had stayed here on...
I had stayed here once before, but I was surprised at how different the atmosphere of this Resort Hotel felt compared to last time. Just as the Reviews said, it was a wonderful place, including the ocean view. With the all-inclusive plan, we could enjoy a variety of food and drinks whenever and as much as we liked, which was very satisfying. Dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. However, the meat was very fatty and too heavy for us; we wished there had been an option to choose filet for an additional fee. The outdoor pool was dirty, so we used the indoor pool instead. It was nice that float rings and other items were available to borrow. At night we could see the stars clearly, and we spent a luxurious time simply gazing at the sky from our Room’s balcony. Since our group was large this time, we booked multiple Rooms, but they were not close to each other, which made it difficult to stay in touch. It isn’t cheap so it’s hard to visit often, but it’s a Hotel that makes us want to come back again.

The Hawaii of the Seto Inland Sea
I visited with friends from Yamaguchi Prefecture, and it far exceeded our expectations. The ocean view beyond the water feature seen from the lobby, the complimentary free-flow drinks, and at night a sky full of stars. It was a truly wonderful holiday. I would love to visit again.

It was a very good Hotel.
Overall, we were very satisfied, except that only the park-side parking was available for guests and there were too few coin-operated laundry machines to use. The all-inclusive plan allowed us to relax and take our time.

Refresh by the sea and pool
Right in front of the beach, we could play in the sea and then enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools, which made our kids very happy. Since it was an all-inclusive Hotel, we could spend the whole time having drinks and snacks, so we felt truly refreshed. The food was delicious too.

The service was very friendly and pleasant.
Check-in was at 3:00 PM, and with so many guests I initially felt a bit uneasy about the lively atmosphere, but the staff carried our luggage to the room. With the welcome lounge offering drinks and light snacks, my worries proved unfounded—I enjoyed relaxing time thanks to the comfortable hospitality. The beach in front of the Hotel and the scattered islands were captivating, with scenery that changed its character in the morning, afternoon, and night. The free-flow drinks service at dinner was also handled efficiently, and we truly enjoyed ourselves. Stargazing at night was enjoyable as well, with very thorough explanations. Are people in Yamaguchi Prefecture generally this kind? It was a wonderful stay.

Wonderful Resort Hotel
The wonderful views were truly soothing. The drive to the Hotel was also impressive, with the calm Seto Inland Sea along the way. There was no traffic, so we enjoyed a pleasant drive. We would love to visit again.

Satisfied with the location, view, and Facility.
We were amazed by the spacious Room! It had a canopy double bed and two standard single beds. We soaked in the small open-air bath on the balcony while gazing at the starry sky (there is also a separate indoor bath). The morning beach view from the balcony felt truly resort-like. We also appreciated the all-you-can-drink selection of alcoholic beverages, including Dassai. With a late 11:00 check-out, our little angels were able to play by the shoreline until just before noon using the complimentary SUP board rental.

You can relax here.
Since I live nearby, I come here to relax. However, I think there is room for improvement.

You can relax here.
I’ve stayed here several times and can relax comfortably. However, this time the guests in the next Room seemed overly excited and were noisy until late at night. I always feel they should provide an extra towel for the washbasin; I end up asking the front desk for one every time. Also, I emailed the address listed on IKYU but received no reply, so I had to email again via the Hotel website using their form. It’s been a few years since the Hotel was renovated, but it still feels somewhat inexperienced, and the food quality has been declining. (I stay when rates are low so I’m satisfied, but guests who don’t drink alcohol may be disappointed.)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay thanks to the wide variety of services.
We made a Reservation because it perfectly matched all our needs as a family with a 5-year-old: beautiful ocean views, an indoor pool (since it was still too early in the season to swim in the sea or the outdoor pool), and even an Onsen. We really regret stopping by too many places before check-in and missing the welcome service, but we still received welcome strawberries, fireworks for our child, and bath salts for the in-room bath—even though there is an Onsen. In the evening we enjoyed a hula dance show, fireworks by the beach, joined a stargazing event, and used the night lounge (many hotels don’t allow children at night lounges, but this one seemed fine—probably). I think we enjoyed everything there was to enjoy. It was during Golden Week so I’m sure there were many guests, but the only place that felt crowded was the dinner restaurant. Otherwise people relaxed in different areas, and it felt like guests were well spread out. Both the Room and Onsen were very clean, so we felt comfortable throughout our stay. One night wasn’t enough—we were extremely satisfied! If I had to mention one thing: there wasn’t an overall map or guide of the Hotel in the Room, so we couldn’t tell things like whether there was a locker room at the pool (there is!), or how to get from the pool to the large public bath without going to check first. Also, we could use the pool after checkout as well—but we wouldn’t have known unless we asked at reception. (They told us that after checkout they close the large public bath area; if you’re fine with just using showers after swimming, you can still do that.) The only downside is that it’s far from where I live no matter how I travel—but I definitely want to come again!

Like Hawaii in Japan
My first stay here. The ocean view and gentle, quiet waves seen from the 1F lobby create an atmosphere that almost makes you feel like you’re in Hawaii. The Room on the 3F was spacious and excellent. Dinner was served in a large space, and the food was delicious. There is a bathroom in the Room, but I wanted to relax, so I used the large public bath on the 1F. There is also an open-air bath that seems to accommodate about 5–6 people at once, but this time I had it all to myself and truly enjoyed it. In the space next to the bath area, drinking water and ice cream are available free of charge. The next morning in the lobby, I used a device that lets you grind coffee beans yourself and brew coffee. It was my first time and very interesting. Breakfast is buffet-style; I was satisfied being able to choose what I liked from a wide variety. Next time, I’d like to visit with my family of four during the summer swimming season.

A clean and comfortable stay, with a satisfying all-inclusive experience
The facilities and guest room were very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. The large Onsen bath was pleasant, and the massage chairs available after bathing were also relaxing. The ocean-view location was another highlight. The weather was poor on the day we arrived, which was a bit disappointing, but it cleared up the next day and we enjoyed a refreshing, pleasant time. The dinner course was beautifully presented and tasted excellent. On the other hand, the bath area felt somewhat simple; it would be even better with a bit more atmosphere. We were also slightly disappointed that there was no view of the outside scenery. We also appreciated being able to enjoy Dassai sake with the all-inclusive plan, as well as having alcohol available from morning. There is also Shuttle Service, and overall it was a comfortable stay.

A Resort Hotel Adults Will Fall in Love With
An all-inclusive Resort Hotel featured on “Tabi Salad.” I loved the breathtaking Seto Inland Sea views and the high-quality all-inclusive offerings, so this was my third stay. Not only beer and wine, but also premium sake such as “Dassai” is available with unlimited drinks, and great alcohol helps you truly unwind. The snacks are well balanced too, with chocolate, dried snacks, nuts, and more. Having unlimited premium drinks both at dinner and during bar time is a wonderful service for those who enjoy drinking. I savored the creative French full-course dinner, and the restaurant staff’s smiles and attentive menu explanations made it feel like a luxury resort. Highly recommended: - Time spent gazing at the calm, crystal-clear sea - The clean large public bath (Onsen) - Rental bicycles (about 15 minutes by e-bike to both Itsukushima Shrine and the roadside station) - Breakfast curries: rare Takamori beef curry and Oshima mikan curry (both outstanding) - Just a 1-minute walk from the Hotel: Strawberry farm offering pesticide-free strawberry picking with a sweet fragrance in the air A Hotel I truly hope to stay at again.

It truly felt like the Hawaii of the Seto Inland Sea!
When I read the Review and saw the phrase “the Hawaii of the Seto Inland Sea,” I thought it was an exaggeration—but it truly was. Everything was spotless, both inside and outside the Hotel, and I was extremely satisfied. I had requested a pick-up at Obatake Station, but the local train service suddenly stopped, and I panicked thinking I might miss my connection depending on the timing... Then the Hotel called me, and their response immediately put me at ease. I ended up being 10 minutes late, but I still made my connection safely. When I arrived, the person who had called me came to pick me up—such wonderful service that I already felt glad we chose this place! After arrival, we could grab a bite at the welcome café (?) and alcohol was also free—very satisfying. The French course dinner was absolutely delicious and truly left me feeling fulfilled. The Room was clean with an ocean view, and we were very happy with the large public bath as well. Although we planned to relax in bed, we woke up early to see the sunrise—the view was genuinely beautiful, and we were so glad we stayed here. Breakfast was also excellent; the Japanese-and-Western buffet was very tasty. We came from Hiroshima hoping to relax while looking out at the sea, and it ended up being a truly wonderful one-night stay—we were completely satisfied. Next time we’d like to go strawberry picking. This is an Accommodation where we definitely want to stay again.

A must-visit.
The Room was spacious and very functional, and the towel rack was especially useful. It was essential for hanging laundry that hadn’t fully dried. The view from the Room was also amazing, and the food—especially the dinner—was outstanding; the wagyu beef served with truffle soy sauce was incredible! I was thrilled to stay at such a great price despite it being all-inclusive. It’s a long trip from the Kanto area, but I’d love to visit again if I have the chance.

Highly satisfied
The location and service were both excellent—this is the best Hotel for me! It was a shame I couldn’t do stargazing due to equipment issues, but I spent three days without getting bored at all, enjoying the lounge, rental bicycles, gym, massage chairs, pool, nighttime strawberry picking, and even grinding my own coffee.

I stayed here again!
This was my second stay. Based on what I learned last time, I upgraded my Room, and the sea-view Room was wonderfully refreshing. I was satisfied with the quality of the drinks included in the all-inclusive plan, but as before, loungewear is not allowed at dinner, which still felt inconvenient. If this could be improved, it would be a truly comfortable stay.

We were very satisfied.
It was a very satisfying Hotel! When we arrived, they gave us delicious welcome strawberries—they were so good that we bought some to take home. The bath salts smelled wonderful and were very relaxing. The sunrise from the open-air bath in our Room was amazing and made us feel like we were in the tropics. The Room was also clean and comfortable. Maybe because it was Saturday, there was a hula dance performance in the lobby, which was lovely. The food was delicious—especially the Takamori beef and mandarin orange curry, which I’d love to have again. Free alcohol was also a big help. Dinner is served as a course meal rather than a buffet, which I think is great. However, with the 17:30 dinner time my husband got hungry later at night, so he went back to the lounge for drinks. I felt the sauna temperature was a bit too high—I couldn’t stay in long, which was disappointing. The service was excellent, and I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Overall, I was very ...
Overall, I was very satisfied with my two-night stay, and my rating has changed since yesterday. After the first night, I posted that I wasn’t very satisfied with the dinner because I chose the more affordable dinner-included plan. However, on the second night I had the most premium course included, and since it poured with rain on the first night but turned sunny from the second night onward, my impression changed significantly—especially because we stayed in a Room with a terrace open-air bath. We also enjoyed activities such as free e-bike rentals for cycling and a stargazing event. The hotel was apparently fully booked on the second night, but guests staying in Premium Rooms or higher were thoughtfully provided not only dinner seating but also breakfast seating in a spacious area, which was very helpful. For breakfast, having plenty of obanzai-style dishes and vegetables was truly appreciated while traveling. Dinner was completely different between the affordable course and the premium course—it didn’t feel like it came from the same restaurant—but on both nights, the bread and desserts were excellent. I used the Onsen many times; it was always clean, and there are plenty of amenities in the post-bath relaxation area. There is also a strawberry farm, and in the Executive Lounge (available during designated hours for Premium Rooms or higher), there were lots of strawberries as well as several kinds of cakes topped with strawberries, plus tasty light snacks. In the evening, the Executive Lounge is almost drinks-only, but being able to get beverages at any time was convenient. The dedicated Shuttle Service vehicle and driver were also courteous and excellent.

With a true tropical...
With a true tropical resort vibe, you can enjoy plenty of alcoholic drinks in the lounge as well as during breakfast and dinner. We do not drink much, but the snacks and desserts in the Executive Lounge for Premium and Suite guests were delicious and offered a great variety. The spa features a clean, pleasant radon Onsen, and the spa café is also well equipped with quality massage chairs and drinks—so much so that we did not even need to use the open-air bath in our Room. The Shuttle Service is also very helpful for guests traveling from far away.

Enjoy the Hawaii of the Seto Inland Sea
I live in an area facing the Seto Inland Sea, so I see it all the time and wasn’t sure whether to choose an ocean-view room, but I’m really glad I did. The sea, the beach, and the infinity lagoon were all wonderful. Spending time with the window open while listening to the waves felt truly luxurious. I would have liked chairs on the balcony, but it may be difficult for safety reasons. With all-inclusive service, this Accommodation was perfect for a relaxing staycation.

We would love to stay here again.
This is a Hotel where you can truly relax. The food was delicious, and the abalone sauté and Takamori beef loin steak at dinner were especially outstanding. At tea time from 14:00, I was lucky to enjoy fresh, delicious seasonal strawberries as well. Everywhere—our Room, the large public bath, and more—was thoroughly cleaned and very hygienic. The view from the Room balcony was also amazing. Perhaps because it was the off-season, even though there was a group staying, the Hotel remained quiet and time felt unhurried. The restaurant staff and housekeeping team were all friendly and pleasant. On the downside, perhaps due to the group guests, breakfast buffet items often weren’t replenished enough; in the women’s large public bath changing area there were sprays and oils that could be used for hair and body but no lotion or emulsion (so I had to bring the amenities from my Room); I couldn’t do stargazing because of an equipment issue; and one front desk staff member was rather cold. Overall, I was satisfied. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to stay at again to unwind.

A Wonderful Time
It was a trip to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. The scenery and meals were absolutely wonderful, creating an extraordinary atmosphere. The staff were courteous and excellent! Also, the sunrise viewed from the Hotel was breathtakingly beautiful, unlike anything we had ever seen before. We also enjoyed strawberry picking! Thank you so much for everything.

Repeat guest
I have visited several times with my sister for a relaxing getaway. This time as well, I was able to unwind and recover from the fatigue of the year-end and New Year season. I look forward to being rejuvenated by your wonderful service whenever I feel tired in the future. The strawberries during afternoon tea were delicious and truly delightful. However, one thing that caught my attention this time was that the dinner service felt a bit rushed—dishes seemed to be brought out one after another in a hurry, which made it hard to relax. It felt more hurried than usual, which was slightly disappointing. Still, I love this place and will definitely visit again with my sister when we need some relaxation!

~A Treat for Yourself~
We stayed as a couple. Right before the year-end, we wanted some time to escape from daily life, and the availability of one last room encouraged us to make the reservation. 1. Passing through the spacious entrance, we enjoyed the calming sound of ocean waves and a serene sunset view. 2. Relaxing in-room open-air bath with our choice of aromatic bath salts. 3. Satisfying French cuisine with attentive service from staff; even the breakfast buffet was highly satisfying. 4. Exclusive drinks and homemade snacks for executive guests were delightful. There’s so much more to mention, but it truly became a wonderful way to wrap up the year! Since you mentioned that meal options may change, we’d love to visit again in the future! Thank you very much!

The Seto Inland Sea,...
The Seto Inland Sea, known for its beautiful islands, offers a serene view of calm waters with only the famous small islands visible on TV stretching up to 30 kilometers towards Ehime Prefecture from this Hotel. Even for those living near the Seto Inland Sea, this scenery is refreshing, and I am visiting for the third time. There is also a heated pool where you can relax at your own pace. However, it still feels like some staff are not yet accustomed to their roles. For guests with mobility issues, accessing the open-air bath may be challenging.

Winter at Marissa Resort is exceptional.
I have stayed here 8 times over 2 years during visits to my mother-in-law's grave. During the summer, Marissa Resort tends to be overcrowded, and the dinner service was not very satisfactory. However, this time there were fewer guests and no large groups, allowing me to fully enjoy the delicious Takamori beef and abalone dishes. The service was excellent as well. I will definitely stay here again.

Enjoy the autumn Suo-Oshima Marissa Resort, where you can fully experience adult island time!
If you're looking for a place in Setouchi to experience the serene island time reminiscent of Okinawa's Miyako, this Hotel (formerly Resort Sunshine Southern Seto) might be the perfect choice. Memories of endless sandy beaches and a sea dotted with small islands from 30 years ago came flooding back, and upon searching online, I found that while the beachfront had been boldly renovated, the scenery remained just as I remembered. Thus began our journey to Suo-Oshima. Passing through the open atrium lobby leads you to a spacious terrace with a wooden deck and an expansive cobalt-blue infinity lagoon. Beyond that lies the nostalgic view I cherished. The sudden immersion into this extraordinary space and breathtaking scenery left my family repeatedly exclaiming how amazing it was. If Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands infinity lagoon is an awe-inspiring man-made jewel box view, Marissa’s lagoon offers an ever-changing kaleidoscope of infinite natural beauty—never dull or repetitive. Especially at night, watching Canary Island date palms sway in the breeze from your ocean-view balcony evokes a mystical feeling as if fairies like Miyako’s Kijimuna or Amami’s Kenmun might appear at any moment—a mysterious island time flows here that even inspires reverence for nature. For dinner, we enjoyed a course meal featuring ingredients from Yamaguchi Prefecture. The terrine made with rich duck meat surprised us—it was hard to believe it was duck! The soup made with Iwakuni chestnuts and pumpkin was incredibly delicious; its intense sweetness paired perfectly with pumpkin in what felt like my first-ever experience of such flavors! Though not polite, soaking bread into it made me reach for more wine (laughs). The fish dish featured barracuda from Hagi—usually only prepared grilled—but here it was steamed together with mushrooms and ginkgo nuts inside parchment paper. Opening it up and squeezing kabosu over revealed its aroma alongside tender yet flavorful fatty barracuda—a delightful first-time taste! The meat dish featured veal loin—lean but stuffed with basil paste mixed perhaps with anchovies? This added layers of flavor while keeping the meat tender enough for even older diners to enjoy effortlessly. Dessert resembled pudding but had dense chocolate textures—a treat so good you'd want seconds. Even after all these years away from stone-oven bread paired perfectly throughout each course—or maybe because they were simply delicious—we finished every last piece! Every dish highlighted high-quality ingredients crafted thoughtfully into meals that satisfied both body & soul completely. As an aside...the Premium Lounge truly feels exclusive; access should remain limited strictly based on eligibility criteria for staying guests only—it adds value by preserving its special atmosphere unmistakably unique within this accommodation setting!
