    Overall, the place felt dark and confusing. The locations of the smoking room and vending machines were unclear. Room information was only available by scanning a QR code for confirmation. The water dispenser in the sauna did not work. While the atmosphere was nice, many things were very difficult to understand...

    It was great.

    As it is a new hotel, the facilities were convenient and well-maintained. Being located above a subway station and commercial facilities made it very convenient. Although not spacious, there is parking available, and you can leave your car for sightseeing within 24 hours after check-out. Breakfast seemed a bit delayed in replenishment, possibly due to the high number of guests during an event. One concern was that someone appeared to have eaten instant noodles in the lobby, leaving remnants behind. While eating may not be prohibited, it was surprising to see such a scene for the first time. I didn’t get to use the sauna this time but would love to stay again in the future. Thank you very much!

    This stay was relaxing as well. The room had a different design from last time, featuring wood-grain furniture and a bright yet calming carpeted floor, which was very pleasant. Breakfast included unique vegetables and whole grilled small potatoes, along with homemade jams (strawberry and peach) for the yogurt, all of which were delicious. There was also a variety of bread such as four types of toast, croissants, and milk bread. The dishes like scrambled eggs and bacon were kept warm in deep enamel pots to prevent drying out, making them enjoyable to eat. Most importantly, I could have breakfast at 8:30 when it wasn’t crowded, allowing me to dine leisurely. It turned out to be a great stay that recharged me for work. I would love to stay here again!

    Great value for money

    The number of power outlets is somewhat limited, and the quality of the toothbrush could be improved. Other than that, everything was good. Upon arrival, the front desk service during check-in seemed a bit lacking—perhaps handled by a new staff member?

    Washing Machine

    The loud noise from the washing machine on the lower floor disturbed my sleep, which was very disappointing.

    Unfortunately.

    Stayed in Nagoya for 3 nights for my daughter's graduation ceremony. The first two nights were spent at a Hotel near the ceremony venue, and on the third night, we chose this Hotel with high-floor rooms offering a panoramic view of Nagoya city, as my daughter wanted to relax while enjoying the night view. We found stunning views featured on IKYU.com and looked forward to our stay. The lobby offered an amazing view that got us excited, but from our Room window, half of the view was blocked by a building wall... and right in front was a construction site... To make matters worse, the window glass was covered with fingerprints and grease stains—very disappointing. Dust had accumulated on the table legs, and my daughter found hair inside her bathroom glass. I asked at reception if it would be possible to switch Rooms even if it meant paying extra; however, I was told that all Wide Twin Rooms have partially obstructed views due to nearby buildings. When I inquired about Corner Twin Rooms instead, they said they were fully booked for that day. However, both IKYU.com and the official Hotel website showed availability for Corner Twin Rooms at that time—and even an hour later when I checked again! Were we lied to because we seemed like troublesome guests? While partial obstruction of views might be unavoidable sometimes, I wish at least they had kept their windows clean. The Room's design felt overly stylish for me personally—making it difficult to use comfortably—and even opening doors in areas like bathrooms proved challenging. Amenities were minimalistic; air purifiers/humidifiers appeared designed more for aesthetics than functionality—they were about as small as kettles powered via USB ports but looked awkward when plugged into outlets. Additionally: The humidifier could only hold one cupful of water before needing constant refills... This Hotel seems perfect if you're focused solely on aesthetics or "Instagrammable" moments—but less so if comfort is your priority. After spending just one night here feeling more exhausted than rested—I returned home disappointed overall!

    You can enjoy a pleasant and fun stay.

    Located in the city center, the Hotel provides easy access to various shops connected underground, allowing even those with mobility issues to walk leisurely and enjoy many attractions. One minor inconvenience was that I couldn't hear the intercom sound while the TV was on. It would be great if the volume could be adjusted or changed to a more audible tone. What I loved most was the breakfast. The staff noticed my mobility issues and kindly assisted me, for which I am very grateful. This is a Hotel I would love to stay at again!

    The joy of discovering "What's going on?"

    Upon entering the room and taking a look around, there are many delightful details to notice. After placing my luggage, I enjoyed exploring the room. I was amazed by this unique interior design! First-time guests will surely feel excited just from this experience alone.

    Relax in the evening, indulge in the morning.

    I stayed at the accommodation with a family member who has difficulty walking. We spent a relaxing evening without going out. The Japanese-style atmosphere was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast offered many of our favorite dishes, and the taste was delicious, making my entire family fans of this hotel.

    The corridor and ele...

    The corridor and elevator lighting are too dim. The signs are also difficult to understand, making it hard to know where to go at first glance. The arrangement of the bed and sink in the room is strange and inconvenient. The space is not being utilized effectively.

    The night view is amazing!

    I had to make a sudden reservation, and since I wanted to stay at this Hotel, I chose it. Located in the heart of Sakae, it's convenient for shopping, dining, and has direct access to the subway. There was nothing inconvenient. The view from the Room on a high floor was excellent. Above all, the night view was beautiful. What I hoped for in the Hotel was a coffee maker which is usually provided but unfortunately not in the Room. I felt attention to detail in the Room's interior design, accessories, and electronic devices.

    The view is magnificent.

    We used the corner twin room as a mother and daughter. The view from the room was simply amazing, with an open view of all of Nagoya in front of the mountain range, and we were impressed by the sense of openness from the window. We were also able to enjoy the beautiful night view and sunrise. The location is in the center of Sakae, facing Hisaya Odori Park, and there are commercial facilities below the hotel, which is very convenient. When I forgot my smartphone cable and inquired at the front desk, they immediately delivered it to our room for us to borrow, which was very helpful. Up until this point everything was perfect; however, here are some critical comments: The humidifier and air purifier provided were not sufficient; moreover, their operation might be difficult for elderly guests to understand. Although it appears stylishly minimalistic at first glance, I felt that it slightly lacked comfort and convenience—two essential aspects. For elderly guests staying here may find that room layout along with equipment placement/usage isn't suitable or user-friendly enough for them. As it's a new hotel built just a year ago we hope improvements will be made moving forward!

    Only the hardware and location

    Even without new staff, it's the same Hotel. Checking in is impersonal with no greetings. In that case, an automatic check-in machine would suffice. The sauna has a low temperature and is unbearable to stay in. It's just about the location.

    The view from the Room is excellent, but...

    (This review is merely the opinion of one senior individual.) This time, I stayed in a Corner Twin (present), and found it to be a very inconvenient room. While it's understandable that the elevator inside the hotel is too dark, I had doubts about the layout and specifications of the room. (For example, there are awkward pathways around the bed and transparent doors in the bathroom.) Furthermore, instructions for using room facilities are provided via QR codes to be scanned with a smartphone, which shows no consideration for seniors or those unfamiliar with smartphone operations. I couldn't use either the air purifier or humidifier satisfactorily. Additionally, there were many drawers (some that appeared to be drawers but weren't), making it difficult to find things. The lighting controls were also inconvenient; I couldn't adjust them after getting into bed (or if it was possible, I didn't know how). The location of power outlets was also inconvenient (I couldn't charge my phone by my pillow; there was a pathway between the bed and wall with outlets on the wall side). However, one outstanding feature is "the view" from this room. It holds great value as you can see mountains in the distance during daylight hours while at nightfall Nagoya's cityscape unfolds below... five stars for this aspect alone! It's unfortunate that despite such an amazing view which deserves high praise—the usability issues within this particular Room made my stay less enjoyable than expected—though many may not mind these negative points mentioned earlier... Again reiterating: This remains solely one senior individual's perspective.)

    Stylish

    I thought it was a very distinctive and stylish hotel. The overall lighting from the elevator hall on the first floor to the guest rooms was dimmed, which was a unique feature. Many foreign guests were staying, and I felt the global brand power, allowing me to experience a different time from my daily life. The parking lot is also conveniently located underground. I entered breakfast at the last minute at 9:30, but I was able to enjoy a lot of delicious dishes. I think it is a hotel where a wide range of age groups, such as families and couples, can have an enjoyable stay, and I would like to stay again.

    New and clean

    The building and Room are new and clean, but it's so narrow beside the bed that it's hard to pass through. I almost bumped my foot. The front desk didn't give a good impression. I wonder if they lack motivation... The breakfast was delicious, but one staff member was leaning against the wall looking unmotivated, which lowered the overall quality, and I don't feel like going again next time.

    On the top floor

    I was able to relax very much. A very nice Room for two people! The breakfast was premium, so I enjoyed it, but I would be more satisfied if the buffet had tastier rice and bread. I also used the sauna, but it was too dark to distinguish between the toilet and the door. I was concerned about the gaze because it was a Room with mirrors for changing clothes.

    A modern Hotel that is difficult for people in their 70s to use.

    A simply designed Hotel close to Hoshino Resort. The breakfast was plentiful and good. The front desk (so dark you can't see faces, is this modern privacy protection? The hallway is also dimly lit so you can't see faces). The front desk staff are all kind, proud of their work, and seem to be wonderful people who enjoy their jobs! They explained things carefully, which was reassuring. The elevator was so dark that the elderly thought it might lead to the abyss. I stumbled on the wooden edge of the bed about 15 times. The automatic door was black and monochrome, giving a chic impression, and suddenly opened like magic. Overall, it might be very good for young people and convenient once you get used to it. Another thing that bothered me was that the bath, washbasin, and drinks were right at the entrance, which was disappointing.

    Power/Room is inconvenient

    I always think that the Room is very inconvenient to use. Especially, the location of the power outlets is terrible. Nowadays, not being able to place a smartphone by the bedside is... Also, when sitting on the sofa and using a computer, it's slightly far from the power outlet, and the cable length is insufficient...

    Satisfaction

    It was a very stylish Hotel. The instruction manuals for air purifiers and speakers, as well as mobile phones, can be checked using QR codes, but since many recent Hotels are like this, there was no particular inconvenience. The view from the top floor was wonderful, allowing us to experience an extraordinary feeling. We used it for a stay before my son's university entrance exam, and we were able to borrow a desk lamp, allowing him to study calmly. This time, it was for the exam, so we chose a no-meal Plan, but next time we use it, I would like to try the restaurant as well. Even without meals, there were many restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores in the same building, so it was very convenient.

    After the sunset, the beautiful twilight was soothing.

    This was my second stay since my last visit. I chose the Premier Room because the photos on the Ikkyu website showed the entire room bathed in red, which looked lovely. However, during my previous stay, I watched the sunset from the Shunju Chinese restaurant, and it wasn't very beautiful, so this time I wanted to stay in the Premier Room to see it for myself. But in reality, the room wasn't bathed in red; it was just normal. It turns out that was just a staged photo. I was disappointed. Still, being on the 32nd floor, the view was great, and the sky was beautifully tinted with the sunset. Last time, the bedding suited me well, and I slept soundly, but this time, the air conditioning blew directly on my face. Even when I set it higher, it still hit me, and if I turned it off, it got too hot, so I couldn't sleep all night. I finally turned off the air conditioning in the early morning and slept well, so I skipped breakfast. It's a shame I couldn't adjust the air conditioning. The hotel staff worked hard and greeted me with smiles, and I appreciate their hospitality. Thank you very much.

    Late summer vacation trip

    The hotel room was clean with a great view, and the facilities were compact and very stylish. The breakfast was delicious and not crowded, so I could relax.

    Couldn't you try a little harder?

    It might be because I'm particular about details, but I felt the cleaning was sloppy. There were disappointing areas, such as dust accumulating in places and water stains on the washbasin. Even if there are beautiful tea sets, I wouldn't want to drink in such a room. Also, the elevator had long wait times and was unnecessarily dark. Given the pleasant face-to-face service and the view that takes advantage of the location and height, I felt they should put more effort into the finer details.

    The view is magnificent.

    I grew up in Nagoya, so I was looking forward to hearing that a Hotel was opening in the Chunichi Building. From the corner Room on the 30th floor, I could see Oasis, Nagoya Castle, and the eastern part where I grew up, and I never got tired of the view. The interior of the Facility is generally very dark, giving a sense of being out of the ordinary, but I heard someone passing by say, "It's so dark, I'm getting lost..." The Room was also dark, and I couldn't figure out the Facility, and while the air purifier and other items were nice as interior decor, they seemed too small. I kept making mistakes about which drawer under the sink opened until the end. After searching around, I managed to find the bag for going to the sauna and the tabletop mirror next to the TV, but it was hard to find. Upon entering the Room, there is a wash space on the right, a bathroom on the opposite side, and a bed space beyond the door in front. The toilet is on the head side of the bed, making it inconvenient, and I wished it was the opposite of the bathroom. The bed is set away from the wall, and there are two outlets at the bottom of the wall, but charging a smartphone or other device would mean the cable crosses the bed, which is dangerous, so I charged it at the outlet under the window. There was a lack of space to charge smartphones, tablets, and clocks. Also, the upward-facing light in the space used as a closet was dazzling, and when looking down from a standing position, the afterimage of the light remained, making it difficult to operate the dial of the safe placed below. It was honestly a very inconvenient design and layout, as I couldn't turn off just that light, and I almost tripped over the door stopper installed on the floor. I think there's nothing that can be done about the design now, but I would like some effort to alleviate the inconvenience, such as placing a guide to the Room's Facilities. The sauna has a great view and spaciousness, but with a sauna that can accommodate about 10 people, there is only one shower and one cold bath, so you can't enter the cold bath until the previous person's shower is finished. It seems problematic if someone is using shampoo, etc. If the shower is occupied, people might enter the cold bath directly unless a pot or something is placed to collect hot or cold water to wash off sweat. The lotion and other items were in the sauna, not in the Room, but they were individually packaged and left in varying quantities. It gave the impression that there wasn't much patrolling. The lobby had a lovely fragrance, and I think it's a wonderful Hotel with a great view and location, but I would like explanations about the Facility and Room to help guests relax. I would appreciate your consideration.
