    Excellent Facility

    The property spans 3,000 tsubo with a stunning garden. On sunny days, you can enjoy part of the garden from the parking lot while checking in, but it can be tough on rainy days. The location is close to the sea, offering breathtaking sunsets. With only 8 Rooms, it feels private and relaxing in the Room. Dinner was delicious, though I personally prefer traditional Japanese cuisine over Chinese dishes. It would be nice if dinner seating were more separated since there are only 8 Rooms available. I was very impressed with the facilities overall.

    Loungewear

    The Room was lovely. The living space resembling a dirt floor area, wooden-framed doors, and fittings matched perfectly with the retro Taisho-Showa era vibe of the adjacent cultural heritage restaurant building, providing a soothing atmosphere. It was truly disappointing that there were no in-house wear provided. After arriving in the evening and enjoying the stone sauna and regular sauna to feel refreshed, it felt bothersome to change back into my clothes to head to the dining area. I thought about revisiting but sincerely hope that in-house wear will be available by my next visit. Other than that, I was very satisfied with the dinner supervised by my favorite Ichirin Hanare chef—it was wonderful! It would be even more perfect if the beautiful lounge at the entrance could also function as a bar.

    An accommodation where you can enjoy the essence of traditional and modern wooden architecture. The tranquility within the spacious grounds is also remarkable. The dining area is a pre-war sukiya-style building with intricate design, while the accommodation features a modern sukiya-style structure that seamlessly blends contemporary comfort with respect for tradition. The cuisine offered is Chinese. Dinner consists of creative fusion Chinese dishes, including Sichuan-style sauce on "Mouthwatering Chicken," which carries over to two subsequent dishes, offering a delightful experience as the same sauce changes its flavor profile depending on the dish. Breakfast surprises with an unexpected pairing of Chinese congee and dried golden eye snapper, creating a light yet flavorful combination that works perfectly together. Both dinner and breakfast are full of innovative surprises and are exceptionally delicious. While there may be slight inconvenience in moving between the large communal bath and accommodation buildings, each room features its own hinoki cypress bath for an equally charming alternative to enjoy without using the communal facilities. This is truly an accommodation for adults seeking serenity and relaxation in a peaceful atmosphere.

    The staff are all very knowledgeable about the history of Numazu Club. Maintaining this Facility, including the garden, must be challenging, but I would love to visit again.

    Thank you!

    It was truly wonderful, both the tea pavilion and the accommodation. The meals, especially the Chinese cuisine, were unique and delightful. With Numazu Port nearby, it was a new discovery of Numazu for me. I apologize if I caused any inconvenience by enjoying too much sake. The next day, we visited Sawayaka. I would love to visit Numazu Club again as a base for exploring Numazu. The hospitality of the staff and their detailed explanations about cultural properties were exceptional. It’s been a while since I felt so warm and relaxed!

    It was wonderful!

    Thank you very much for providing us with such a wonderful stay. From the moment we were upgraded due to the originally reserved Room being under maintenance, our excitement was elevated. The service from the staff, the meals—everything was absolutely top-notch. It was a Property that made us want to visit again! It was so good that we felt one night was not enough. Although it was a bit disappointing that the bath was not an Onsen, which is why we gave it 4 stars, the spacious bathtub was large enough for two people to soak comfortably. The outdoor bath at the spa was also delightful. We would love to visit again in a different season.

    Great, but just a few improvements needed.

    As a luxury Chinese-style property, I was a bit anxious but very much looking forward to my stay. First, I was overwhelmed by the beautiful garden and the impressive gate, followed by the stylish and modern accommodation building. The service was very elegant and courteous. Additionally, you can easily access the sea from the back entrance, offering views of Mt. Fuji over the pine forest and a magical hour from the sunset over the sea. It was wonderful. The lack of privacy that some people were concerned about wasn't much of an issue since I stayed in a maisonette room. The large public bath had a sauna and a stone sauna, but there was only one washing area, and a cold bath at the back of the washing area blocked the flow. When I entered, there was one person in the sauna and one person taking an outdoor bath, so I first tried to find an indoor bath but couldn't. Thinking about when someone might come out of the sauna, I didn't have the luxury to wash my body slowly. The facilities, including the open-air bath, are good, but it feels extremely disappointing when there are other guests. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were very carefully prepared, with delicate seasoning that allowed us to enjoy the ingredients. The Shanghai crab was even tastier than what I've had at specialty stores in Tokyo. The biggest concern was having Chinese food for breakfast, but there was no problem, including the dried fish. Especially, although I usually don't like Chinese porridge, I would like to have it again here. After breakfast, we were guided to the tea pavilion, where I felt the genuine magnificence of the architecture from the Taisho era. I have two improvement requests. One is to provide samue or proper room wear so that guests can go to the restaurant in their room wear. At Ritz-Carlton Nikko, you can go to the main dining in room wear. The other is the dirt floor. It's inconvenient to have to put on shoes every time you go from the living room to the water area. If you go to the restaurant with socks on, you can't wear the sandals provided in the room. Can't something like a wooden deck be provided between the living room and the water area? It might ruin the design, but it's a failure as an architect in the first place, isn't it? Also, my daughter was shouting that there was no moisturizer! The hospitality is the best among the properties I've stayed at, and with the beautiful building and delicious food, I would like to visit again.

    A relaxing space

    On the third day of my private stay in Shizuoka Prefecture, I stayed at my favorite Numazu Club. I regretted not staying at this property for all three nights, as the previous two places were not very satisfying. It is a place where you can relax with a stable sense of satisfaction. I enjoyed the bedrock bath, sauna, and treatments, and the anticipated dinner course, which included Shanghai crab, was more delicious than expected, making me want to visit again next season. I have been visiting various properties that interest me, but so far, this Numazu Club is my favorite. Thank you very much for your hospitality this time as well. I will visit again.

    It was a wonderful Stays.

    Stayed for one night The wonderful view, the beautiful garden The room amenities, bed, and interior Small seasonal flowers displayed here and there It was a wonderful property with no flaws Without a TV, I was able to spend a quiet and relaxing time I heard that dinner was Chinese cuisine within the property (It seems to be very delicious, but...) I wanted to eat fish, so I asked the staff and they recommended a very nice restaurant in the city I was able to eat delicious fried horse mackerel and was satisfied The bed was comfortable, and the blanket in the room was thin and warm, which impressed me I wished it could be purchased within the property (I plan to search and buy it in Tokyo) The tea snacks, tea, and evening chocolate were all excellent All the staff were pleasant, and I was able to spend a very comfortable time Thinking about the effort to maintain this building, I am deeply impressed I was able to forget the daily stress and work, and really relax without thinking about anything It became one of the memorable properties Thank you very much

    Very satisfied.

    The modern Chinese dinner and breakfast were excellent. They guided us through all the important cultural properties, which was very nice. We also enjoyed strolling around Sanbonmatsubara and Numazu Port, which were nearby. We had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. The customer service was perfect.
