    It was wonderful.

    The open-air bath in the room was excellent, but the private bath on the second floor of the main building was especially remarkable with its sense of openness. Although it was unfortunately cloudy and we couldn't see Oshima clearly, the cool seasonal weather made it enjoyable. Listening to birds chirping and feeling the breeze through the bamboo grove created a truly wonderful atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast were meticulously prepared, and each dish was absolutely delicious. We are grateful for the warm and attentive hospitality provided by the hostess and all staff members. This is an accommodation we would love to visit again and again. Thank you very much!

    In April, we decided...

    In April, we decided to stay at this accommodation, known for its delicious cuisine, during our trip to the Izu Peninsula. To sum it up, we were extremely satisfied! The dinner and breakfast were amazing, especially the main dishes like golden eye snapper. Everything else we tried was also incredibly tasty. I usually don’t eat much breakfast, but on this day, I even had seconds of rice! We had informed them in advance that my wife was pregnant, and they kindly accommodated our request by avoiding raw ingredients and making substitutions. The hospitality was truly exceptional; it felt great to experience such a well-managed accommodation after a long time. The room included a private bath where we could relax anytime we wanted. We would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    The view from the Room is also highly recommended.

    We visited again this year with my parents, primarily for the exquisite dining experience. Not only was the food exceptional, but the presentation and tableware were also unique compared to our previous visit. Each carefully prepared dish brought us happiness with its delicious flavors. (This time, we particularly enjoyed the appetizers and small dishes.) The meals are not only a treat for your taste buds but also a feast for your eyes and senses. The private bath was spacious (with two washing areas) and came with a pot of water, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time in the hot spring at leisure. Above all, the hospitality from everyone, led by the proprietress, was truly wonderful. Their attentiveness struck just the right balance—not overbearing—allowing us to feel comfortable throughout our stay without any stress. We look forward to visiting again when we have another opportunity to enjoy both their cuisine and the beautiful flowers displayed throughout the property.

    Yuu-chan, who dislikes insects

    Recently, my wife and I stayed at "Ryouri no Yado Izu no Hana" for a 1-night, 2-day trip. The room was clean and comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed the open-air bath. Each dish served was incredibly delicious, with excellent overall balance. The Kinmedai shabu-shabu was especially exquisite and unforgettable. When a bug entered through the open window, the staff quickly noticed and kindly moved us to another room to ensure my wife's comfort. All the staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay very pleasant. This is a wonderful accommodation that we definitely want to visit again. Thank you very much!

    A culinary accommodation on the hilltop of Izu Kogen

    15 minutes by shuttle service from Izukogen Station. This accommodation, located on a hill, offers stunning ocean views from both the room and the open-air bath. The cherry blossoms in the parking lot were in full bloom during our stay, which was a delightful surprise! The onsen is excellent, but the highlight is undoubtedly the exquisite cuisine. We enjoyed fresh local fish prepared as sashimi, grilled dishes, and sushi. The sea bream sushi was absolutely outstanding. The hospitality was exceptional; staff were happy to assist with photo-taking and offering additional servings of rice. This is a superb accommodation where you can relax and enjoy onsen, delicious cuisine, and breathtaking ocean views at your leisure.

    Enjoy the Onsen

    It was truly a comfortable accommodation! From arrival to departure, all the staff were attentive and made us feel at ease. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the meals. The onsen maintained a consistently comfortable temperature, and the water quality left our skin smooth and moisturized every time we bathed! We didn’t want to leave the onsen! We would love to visit again.

    Stayed multiple nights at Izu no Umi

    The day before staying at Izu no Umi, I stayed at this property, which opened as its sister property. As the staff humbly mentioned, the room was not particularly outstanding compared to other ryokans but was clean and tidy. The open-air bath in the room was large and at a comfortable temperature, although the washing area was narrow. The private open-air bath offered a sense of openness with great views of the sea and Oshima (Oshima), and the water temperature was just right. However, since it was midwinter, the passing wind was cold, making it tough to use the washing area. The sunrise view from our room in the morning was truly wonderful and left a strong impression on me—something that cannot be experienced at Izu no Umi. Enjoying an open-air bath in our room while watching the sunrise felt great. As for meals—the main attraction—they were crafted with care for both dinner and breakfast as expected from a "property known for its cuisine," similar to Izu no Umi; everything tasted delicious and did not fall short compared to Izu no Umi. Especially noteworthy were miso soup and rice during breakfast; we requested seconds despite being told otherwise initially. However, my preferences led them also to adjust my wife's meal similarly without asking her preference—a point that left some doubt because usually items I can't eat are substituted with other ingredients elsewhere but not here at this property even after emphasizing she has no dislikes midway through dining yet still had disliked ingredients removed from hers too afterward by staff who maintained smiles throughout keeping appropriate distance making interactions pleasant overall. Since meals themselves met satisfaction levels if improvements occur regarding above-mentioned aspects would consider returning again given closure after ten years visiting regularly now only inheriting spirit within Izukogen region remains hopeful about future prospects ahead!

    We had a very satisfying stay.

    We stayed at the property for our anniversary. We had a truly wonderful time. The meals were not only visually stunning but also tasted exceptional, using local ingredients, which left us very satisfied. The sense of the season and regional characteristics were well conveyed, and we were moved by the heartwarming dishes. They were incredibly delicious. Additionally, during dinner, the proprietress personally prepared our meal and shared various stories with us, making it a very enjoyable time. We are grateful for the warm hospitality. The young woman who welcomed us and those who attended to us during breakfast provided excellent service, and everyone's smiles left a lasting impression. The heartfelt attention made our stay even more remarkable. We made a reservation for a private open-air bath at sunrise after waking up early, and we were able to see an incredibly beautiful view right on time. Moreover, as it was our anniversary, we received gifts that added to the heartfelt celebration; it made us extremely happy. He was delighted as well. Our connection with this ryokan is quite special, and we definitely wish to visit again in the future. We look forward from the bottom of our hearts to being taken care of once more when we visit next time.

    I had a very good end of the year.

    I was able to spend a very relaxing and pleasant time at the end of the year. The staff who welcomed and saw us off, as well as the staff who attended to us, were all very kind. Thank you very much. The room had a well-balanced Japanese interior with a semi-open-air bath, which was very nice. The meals were as delicious and enjoyable as the reviews said, or even more so. Dinner was, of course, luxurious and delicious, but breakfast was also wonderful. I now have another property I would like to visit again. Thank you very much for everything.

    Cuisine GOOD

    A culinary Stays! As the name suggests, the food was very delicious. The staff responded with smiles, and it was GOOD! We had a pleasant conversation with staff member S during dinner, and the service was excellent. It was unfortunate that we couldn't get a coffee refill during breakfast.

    Enjoy a Solo Trip

    I stayed at the property during my solo trip. The room's open-air bath and private dining met all my expectations.     I was able to spend a luxurious time.

    The cuisine was excellent, living up to the name of the Stays, with outstanding ingredients, presentation, and taste. The male staff member who attended to us provided excellent service, making the meal enjoyable. The bath in the Room was large and easy to use. Every dish was so delicious that it was hard to choose a favorite, but the abalone, steamed eel in bamboo leaves, breakfast omelet, and rice were particularly delicious. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

    Struggling with stairs

    There is a rather steep staircase from the main road to the Stays, and as an 87-year-old, I had a very hard time. The staff at the store were extremely kind and gentle, and I express my heartfelt gratitude. Overall, I extend my sincere thanks.

    Perfect for solo travelers

    I was able to spend a very relaxing private time. I enjoyed the bath in the room at my leisure. I was able to finish reading the book I brought in the bath and on the sofa. The meals were impeccable. The portions were not too large, so I was able to eat comfortably. It's nice to be able to dine in a private room. The shuttle service from Izu-Kogen Station is helpful when I'm alone. I would love to visit again.

    I splurged a bit mor...

    I splurged a bit more than usual to stay at this inn, aiming for a room with an open-air bath. I had booked a detached room, but they kindly upgraded us to a room in the main building with a better view. We were lucky this time, as we could clearly see Izu Oshima from our room and enjoyed a very nice view. The room was spacious, with a living area centered around a sofa and a bedroom with two large separate mattresses, allowing us to relax comfortably. There was no noise from other rooms, although at night we could hear the sound of doors opening and closing, but it was still quiet. The open-air bath attached to the room was great as we could use it anytime, and we enjoyed soaking in it for hours on several occasions. I thought it was very nice that multiple bath towels (two per person) were provided. Looking at past reviews, it seems this might have been a recent improvement. As the inn prides itself on its cuisine, both dinner and breakfast were highly satisfying. Both the taste and aroma were delicious, and being able to fully appreciate the aroma is not something you find everywhere, so it was a high point for me personally. We could enjoy our meals in a private room, allowing us to dine leisurely without worrying about others. Also, it was nice to have a bit of conversation with the staff each time they served us. Regarding the service, I had a good impression as everyone spoke calmly. It's rare for me to have such an impression, so this was another high point. I don't often think about wanting to visit a place again, but honestly, I would like to use this inn again. Just a few suggestions for improvement: - Since breakfast offers a variety of side dishes to enjoy, it would be even better if we could freely serve ourselves rice from a rice container. - From the private dining room, we could see the courtyard, and while the staff moving back and forth to serve the detached rooms didn't bother us, seeing them run back after serving seemed a bit out of place with the atmosphere. - There was powdered green tea in the room, but it was hard to mix with a teaspoon as the powder stuck to it. A small stirrer would be nice. - The mandarin sherbet we received upon arrival was delicious, but since there is tea and coffee service in the room, it would be nice to have some snacks as well.

    The best accommodation in every aspect.

    I stayed for one night from Kansai on September 26th. It was my first trip to Izu, and I chose this place with high expectations based on reviews and cuisine. As a result, everything exceeded my expectations, and I was extremely satisfied. The inn has an atmosphere like a hidden retreat for adults, and I was able to relax and forget the time while enjoying the view of Oshima from both the room and the open-air bath in the room. The hospitality from the proprietress and the staff was truly wonderful, and of course, the cuisine was exquisite. Adding delicious sake from Shizuoka to this experience, I can only say I was completely satisfied. It became the best memory of Izu.
