    The hospitality was truly wonderful.

    Despite booking on short notice, we found a wonderful Accommodation. In response to our request for consideration regarding parking, you contacted us immediately, and we truly appreciate your exceptionally prompt support—something we rarely experience even after staying at many Accommodations. The amenities were excellent, and the two of us were already talking about visiting again soon. We hope to build a long and positive relationship with you.

    A Memorable Trip with My Mother

    Thank you very much for everything. As I’m over 80 and finding it harder to travel far, I decided to relax at nearby Arima Onsen and chose this Accommodation. It’s priced as a luxury stay, but the service, Room, and meals were well worth it. Large public baths can be risky for seniors, and my mother was especially worried about bathing, but the private open-air bath was excellent! We would love to stay again.

    As always, the Room ...

    As always, the Room was exceptionally clean. The meals were also very delicious. Even compared with meals at other Hotels, they were outstandingly good. I felt that high-quality ingredients were used as well. For me, one of the priorities when choosing a Hotel is an Accommodation where you can enjoy delicious meals. I think this is an Accommodation that makes you want to stay again.

    We had a wonderful time.

    Although it rained, we were able to spend a quiet and wonderful time. The Room was lovely, the layout was well designed, and it felt very comfortable. The food was delicious and the presentation was enjoyable, so we would love to visit again in a different season. We really liked the mature, adults-only atmosphere of this Accommodation.

    I was able to relax in the Room.

    When we go out as a couple for an Onsen trip, there are often no alcoholic drinks or snacks in the Room, or the Onsen is far away and requires changing floors. Here, everything you would normally expect is conveniently available within the Room. Even if we prefer different TV programs, there are two TVs, so each of us could relax in the Room and enjoy our own choice—it was truly soothing.

    A luxurious Accommodation where you can enjoy the Kinsen hot spring in your Room

    This Accommodation features a wonderful open-air bath in the Room with Kin-sen (golden Onsen). The water quality was excellent, and I enjoyed it many times. The Room was very comfortable, and the amenities, drinks, and snacks were plentiful. It may have been included as part of IKYU’s Diamond benefits souvenir set, but there were also lots of local sweets, which was very satisfying. I was especially happy that the drinks—from beer to wine to whisky—were all from Hyogo Prefecture. During my stay, my leg wasn’t in great condition, so I spent most of the time in the Room without going out much. Even so, it was more than enough—I even felt it would be a waste to leave the Room. If I have a chance to visit Arima Onsen again, I would love to stay here again.

    A Quiet Accommodation

    With only six rooms in the entire property, we were able to relax without running into other guests. The food was also very delicious. We would like to stay again.

    It was incredibly relaxing.

    The hospitality, food, Room cleanliness, view from the window, and the drinks and snacks—everything was excellent. The open-air bath in the guest Room was also free-flowing hot spring water and was wonderful. If possible, I prefer the Silver Spring rather than the Gold Spring, so that might have suited me better. Also, since I like long baths, it would have been perfect if the temperature of the open-air bath could be set lower.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Arima Onsen is expensive, isn’t it? Without IKYU discounts, it was about 250,000 yen. Other Ryokan also cost around 200,000 yen for a nice Room, so compared with other Onsen areas, the pricing feels quite high. If you’re driving, please be careful—the roads are very narrow, and there were signs of scraping. The Room was spacious and relaxing, but since there’s a large TV in the living area, we didn’t use the theater room. There were so many snacks and drinks that we couldn’t finish them all. There is no large public bath—only the in-room bath and an open-air bath with Kin-sen. The open-air bath was spacious, and we could soak at leisure while having a drink. It was a very nice Ryokan, but even so, the price still feels high.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    An open-air hot spring bath with golden water in the Room! It was a nice Ryokan where we could relax quietly. The meals are prepared in front of guests, with various creative touches. If I had to say one thing… it’s hard to have a conversation with the staff, so I wonder if it really needs to be done in front of guests. We also ordered some additional dishes, but they were basically just served as-is… I’d like to see a bit more creativity. I understand they are working hard with a small team, but if you choose this style, I think conversation is part of the dining experience. For example, it would be nice to hear something about the drinks we ordered. [Things that didn’t feel good] - The “prepared-in-front-of-guests” style didn’t offer any real benefits - The toilet is located right next to the bedroom, so even as a couple you feel self-conscious (there is no partition for the bedroom) - There are too many light switches in the Room, making them difficult to use - With service handled by a small team, it’s easy for things to be missed (no one checks in even when drinks run out) [Things that felt good] - The open-air bath in the Room - Plenty of alcohol and snacks provided - Welcome fruit - Quiet atmosphere - Everyone was polite and courteous - A wide variety of amenities etc. Since it was an Accommodation we would like to visit again, I wrote this Review with high hopes.

    The food is excellent.

    I stay here every time because I always look forward to the meals. This time, they had my favorite fugu dishes, so I made a Reservation right away. From fugu hot pot (tecchiri) to grilled fugu and fried fugu, and finishing with rice porridge—everything was delicious. Thank you for the chef’s thoughtful hospitality.

    The staff were all v...

    The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The road was quite narrow for a short distance, making it tight for wider vehicles. If a car comes from the opposite direction, it's tricky! The Room had deliciously chilled fruits, leaving us full and very satisfied. Both breakfast and dinner were extremely tasty! However, the atmosphere was ruined by other guests being loud and disruptive.

    The meals were not as expected.

    The meals were not as good as expected. The sukiyaki was slightly on the sweeter side. The tempura shrimp and sillago did not feel exceptionally fresh. While the dishes were creatively prepared, they were not particularly memorable in taste despite their presentation. However, the ice cream served at the end was delicious. For breakfast, rice cooked in an earthen pot had a bit too much moisture and lacked firmness in the grains. The bath was limited to the Room's private bath only, and since it uses a circulation system, the water did not feel very fresh. Room amenities were excellent, and there were plenty of complimentary drinks and snacks provided in the Room—more than enough to enjoy during your stay. You will also receive a souvenir upon check-out!

    Excellent cuisine

    We always enjoy the exquisite cuisine. We indulged in our favorite ingredients such as pike conger, oysters, abalone, and spiny lobster. The chef's menu was truly delightful. We look forward to visiting again next time!

    Thank you for your patronage.

    The entrance to the Room was narrow, and the inward-opening door made it slightly inconvenient to enter and exit, but overall it was perfect for a cozy stay. The paper towels in the bathroom and toilet felt clean. The food was delicious, and the service was kind and attentive. However, during checkout, when I received a souvenir, the staff mentioned "Since you are a Diamond Member..." which seemed unnecessary to say in that way. On my way back down a steep slope barely wide enough for one car, another Hotel's car came up, so I had to reverse carefully with concern due to nearby ditches.

    Excellent

    The staff provided excellent service, and I felt reassured after calling to confirm my Reservation as they responded very politely. The person who guided me to the Room and the one who served the meals made me feel completely at ease with their manner of speaking and actions, allowing me to relax fully. The garden view from the Room was clearly well-maintained, and both breakfast and dinner were incredibly delicious (personally, it was the best I've had in Arima). I also enjoyed the bath about six times. I will definitely visit again.

    The Room and food are good, but...

    The meals were enjoyable, but regarding the Kinsen bath, while it may hold value for some, seeing random nets placed in front of the bathing area can be disappointing. Additionally, it would be helpful to have light beverages like tea available in the refrigerator. It would be nice to have something to drink after having alcohol.

    This was our first t...

    This was our first time in Arima and our first stay at this accommodation! We arrived a little earlier than the check-in time, but they kindly took care of our luggage and car. They even provided us with a map and directions so we could enjoy some street food. After checking in, we found the room stocked with desserts, snacks, juice, water, and more. There was even a massage chair in the room, which made us very happy! For dinner, they served freshly prepared dishes right in front of us. When we mentioned that we were traveling to celebrate a birthday during our conversation, they surprised us with a pair of couple chopsticks as a gift after the meal—it was such a thoughtful gesture that made us really happy. Although it’s a small accommodation, the room was spacious enough for us. The dining area was conveniently close as well. Breakfast was delicious too; they quickly noticed when rice ran out and promptly served more for us—everything exceeded expectations! On departure day, they even gave us souvenirs to take home. It turned out to be an absolutely perfect birthday trip without any complaints! Since returning home, we've been talking about how much we'd love to visit again every single day. Thank you for helping create such wonderful memories! We will definitely stay here again.

    A Blissful Moment

    To reach the hotel, we had to climb a steep slope that seemed daunting at first. However, after calling, we were relieved to learn that there was a flat parking area with shuttle service available. Upon entering the room, we were surprised by the warm hospitality—there was a pack of strawberries, traditional sweets, snacks, and more! All drinks in the refrigerator were complimentary, and there was even a coffee maker. Since we don’t drink much alcohol, we couldn’t finish everything provided. The food was delicious and visually enjoyable as it included live cooking in front of guests. The explanations about each dish were detailed and added to our satisfaction. The main dish of sukiyaki Unkai Nabe was delightful; however, as meat lovers, we're considering trying the Kobe beef steak course next time—though we're slightly worried about whether it will fit our budget! The room amenities were perfect as well. The open-air onsen with golden waters offered stunning views of Arima’s scenery—we soaked in it multiple times during our stay. It truly felt like an escape from busy daily life—a blissful moment where we could fully relax. As part of celebrating our wedding anniversary, they kindly took a photo of us drinking sake together from a large ceremonial cup and even gifted us commemorative chopsticks—thank you so much for this thoughtful gesture! We also enjoyed the miso-marinated salmon given as a souvenir—it tasted wonderful when we had it the day after returning home. All staff members were kind and provided thorough explanations throughout our stay. This is an accommodation we'd love to visit again if given another opportunity!     It was the best accommodation.

    The cleanliness of the room, the facilities, and the service were excellent. The front desk staff was very polite, and I truly felt their hospitality. This time, I only included breakfast, but both the taste and atmosphere of the restaurant were great, and the chef was also very attentive. I suffered from severe hay fever, but they kindly provided tissues without me even asking, which was incredibly helpful. The curry I received as a souvenir was also delicious. It was an accommodation I would love to visit again!

    Accommodation as comfortable as home

    It was a fulfilling trip! We stayed with a "No Meals Included" plan this time. The location is perfect for strolling and enjoying street food, as it is close to the tourist street. A shuttle service was available from the station, and the driver kindly recommended some great places to visit! Upon arrival at the accommodation, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. Entering the room felt less like stepping into a hotel or accommodation and more like returning to a cozy home. We chose this place for its private open-air bath, but we were also impressed by the abundant amenities and local specialties provided. As we enjoy drinking alcohol often, we initially planned to go out for drinks; however, many establishments closed early due to how safe and quiet the area is. That said, there was an excellent selection of beverages in our accommodation's refrigerator—wine, shochu, highballs, beer, plum wine—and plenty of chasers! The plum wine was especially delicious; I had several refills! Of course, their choice of snacks paired perfectly with drinks too! For non-alcohol drinkers as well: tea snacks along with juice options or even coffee makers were thoughtfully prepared here too! One surprising touch during our stay? A whole pack full of strawberries (perhaps seasonal)—what an unexpected delight! I had such meaningful conversations while relaxing in baths alongside someone special after so long—it truly made everything worthwhile. Next time around though—we’ll definitely opt-in dining-inclusive plans instead!!

    A beloved property where both the meals and baths are exceptional, offering a blissful moment.

    This is my second stay. I first stayed during the New Year holidays and had a truly wonderful time, so I wanted to repeat the experience and came back. (The previous stay was also really amazing, and I wanted to write a Review, but the deadline expired before I could...) [About the Room] The Room is thoroughly cleaned, making it a pleasant place to stay. The Facility is new and very comfortable! The sofa, bed, tray, washbasin, and bath are all clean, allowing me to relax in the Room with peace of mind. Additionally, there were plenty of strawberries, snacks, and drinks in the Room—very satisfying!! And above all else, being able to enjoy Kinsen (golden hot spring) in the Room is exceptional. The washing area is indoors so you can wash up without feeling cold before entering the outdoor bath. It felt like a very considerate design for winter outdoor baths. [Dinner & Breakfast] Each ingredient showed great attention to detail; it was an excellent meal! The presentation was beautiful and tasted truly delicious! Also enjoyed how creatively it was presented—had such fun dining experiences! Staff provided very pleasant service without any discomfort whatsoever. [Staff Response] Everyone was incredibly kind and warmly welcomed us back while remembering our visit during New Year's Eve—it made me really happy. All staff members had smiles on their faces with genuinely wonderful responses! Thanks partly due to them; this turned out as one fantastic stay. Decorations at entrance were beautiful too—a testament of staff's thoughtfulness observed here too. Thank you for such lovely times again—I will be visiting again soon!

    Wonderful! It turned out to be a great gourmet trip.

    The food, service, attention to detail, Room, and the open-air bath in the Room were all wonderful. I was truly surprised by the sweets and drinks prepared in the Room. There was a whole pack of sweet and delicious strawberries, and even matcha with a matcha bowl was prepared so that you could make it yourself, with cute konpeito included. Anyway, the variety of Japanese and Western sweets was amazing, and there were plenty of drinks in the refrigerator. Everything was free, and they even gave us souvenirs to take home, which was very thoughtful. It's perfect for a gourmet trip, as it's calm and quiet.

    A property that offers courteous hospitality.

    We stayed here for a couple's trip. This property provides attentive service to each group. The meals were prepared in front of the guests, making them visually enjoyable, and the flavors were delicious with easy-to-understand explanations. The guest room was clean, with ample amenities and food and drinks, allowing for a comfortable stay. The open-air bath in the guest room features Kinsen Onsen, allowing us to enjoy a bath while viewing the townscape of Arima as many times as we liked. It was a very satisfying trip.

    Full service

    The quality and quantity of the food, the condition of the guest rooms and amenities, and the state of the Onsen facilities in the rooms are all impeccable. Additionally, regarding an issue with one of the purchased souvenir products, which seemed to be a manufacturing defect, the staff immediately addressed the matter and arranged for two replacement items to be delivered to my home the next day. I am truly grateful for their exceptional consideration.

    A Vow in a Dream

    After staying a few months ago, this is my second stay. The charm of Kinsen has been well-documented, but the excellence of Hatago lies in the variety of dishes filled with the desire to serve delicious food, accompanied by the smiles of the chefs explaining them. The Facility is also new and comfortable, so after a delicious meal, a deep sleep naturally follows, and I vow to return in my dreams.

    First-time Inn

    I visit Arima every two months to relax and unwind. I have a regular Stays, but this time I visited Hatago for the first time. It was cozy, the lobby felt like a home's entrance, and there was no shop, which made it feel calm. The Room was spacious, and there were plenty of welcome sweets and strawberries, which was delightful for someone who loves sweets. The amenities were perfect. However, it was disappointing that there was only a pillow and no buckwheat hull pillow. I had trouble sleeping because the pillow didn't suit me. Most Ryokan and Hotels have them. The meals were creatively prepared, but overall they were sweet. Especially the sukiyaki, which used cotton candy instead of sugar, seemed to focus on performance, but it was too sweet, and I couldn't enjoy the deliciousness of the Kobe beef. The breakfast portion was just right.
