I chose this Hotel right in front of the Yokohama Museum of Art. It is also close to Minatomirai Station, which is very convenient. However, having the lobby on the 20th floor felt inconvenient. Around check-in time (about 3:00 p.m.), the elevators from the 1st-floor entrance were packed, and it was the same at check-out—this time with a long line just to go down. I would prefer the lobby to be on the 1st floor. The Room design is fresh and sophisticated. The barrier-free layout is good, but there is a sliding door between the bedroom areas; I pinched my hand in it multiple times, so I hope this can be improved. I stayed in a bathroom with a washing area, but I think a bath chair and wash basin are necessary. As for the restaurant, I think trays are needed. It’s inconvenient to go back and forth many times, so please provide trays. I managed to try the Hitachi beef curry (limited to 80 servings) just in time after reading Reviews—so please arrive early for breakfast. By chance, I was able to stay on the day of the Minatomirai fireworks, which was lucky. The view was amazing and we could fully enjoy it right in front of us—thank you very much.

    Used for a birthday trip.

The Room was very clean, and the view from the high floor was amazing. We would like to visit again with our family.

This was my first time staying at this Hotel. When I wrote a request at the time of my Reservation, I was impressed to receive a prompt reply from the Hotel. A few things I personally hope could be improved: - Only one face towel per person was provided; it would be helpful to have an additional one each (even a hand towel would be fine), since they are used frequently for washing hands and face. - A small trash bin by the sink would be convenient. - A chair in the bathroom would make things more comfortable. - The layout of the sink area and having a place to change clothes for bathing. - Check-in took too long. As it is a new Hotel, everything was very clean, and overall it felt neat, compact, and well organized. At night, I slept soundly without being bothered by noise. Thank you very much.

The building is comfortable, but some of the Facility systems were a bit stressful.

The architecture is comfortable, with large windows, a spacious outdoor terrace in the lobby, and warm tones throughout. However, I felt a few small stresses with the Facility. 1. The HVAC being set to auto heating/cooling is nice, but in July it switched to heating even when set to 24.5°C, and warm air started blowing. 2. The TV system didn’t work—both mirroring and TV checkout were broken and unusable. When I asked about mirroring, I was told it wasn’t available anywhere in the building, and there didn’t seem to be any intention to fix it. It may be an extra feature, but it was disappointing. If it hadn’t been shown in the TV menu from the start, I wouldn’t have noticed. 3. The cold water flow at the sink is restricted too much. It only trickles out, so brushing my teeth takes longer. Also as an extra note: compared with other Hotels in the Minato Mirai area, you have to wait quite a long time for the elevators from the 1st floor up to the lobby on the 20th floor. At checkout time there is a line. Many Hotels in this class recently offer free coffee service in the lobby, so it was also disappointing that there wasn’t any. Overall, the architecture is excellent—but my impression was that the Facility falls short.

This was my first stay for a live concert at Pia Arena. Since it’s right across the street, I could return immediately after the show, which was great. The bathroom had a separate washing area, breakfast was delicious, and even though it was raining I could still enjoy the view (it would have been perfect on a clear day). The staff were also excellent, so this has become a Hotel I’d like to stay at again. I’ll definitely come back even when there isn’t a concert. Thank you for your hospitality.

Staying overnight for a live concert at K-Arena.

Because it’s new, everything is clean and well maintained. The large windows make the Room bright, and since the Hotel floors start from the 20th floor of the building, the view is excellent. The Room is compact but has a sofa; the bathroom was spacious with a bathtub, and the bed was very comfortable. I only used the restaurant for breakfast, but there was a good variety. The recommended French toast was like cake, and the mapo tofu was delicious. It was very crowded because it was a weekend, so I recommend making an advance QR code Reservation. One disappointing point was phone charging: there was only a multi-plug adapter and no power outlet. My companion had one so we shared it, but I wonder if I could have borrowed one if I asked? It’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again—thank you very much.

    We had a relaxing stay.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay with my mother in her 70s. She really loved the layout—such as the flow of movement and the movable partitions—and the high livability of the spacious Room with a separate bath and toilet, so this is a Hotel she requests every year. This year, the slippers had been changed from disposable terry cloth to provided leather-type ones, and she was happy that they felt more stable and were easier to put on and take off than before. What I realized during our Multiple Night Stay was that although it’s located in the middle of the city with convenience stores and commercial facilities just a short walk away, it was very quiet at all hours. With such a comfortable Room and a Yokohama-like view, we were able to feel refreshed. We’ll be back again next year.

    A spacious, relaxing Hotel.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable time on our girls’ getaway. The breakfast was especially delicious—I was disappointed I couldn’t finish it (lol). I’d love to visit again with my friends.

The interior is nice, but the service feels in line with the price. There is no Room service, and since we stayed to celebrate a birthday, I had requested a message card in advance, but it wasn’t provided, which was disappointing. However, the bathroom is spacious and we were very satisfied with the Room overall, so I think it would be a comfortable stay as long as it’s not for a special occasion.

    Not great…

My previous stay left a strong impression and was a great experience, so I chose to stay here again this time.\nHowever, several features had changed, and I found it inconvenient. I couldn’t choose my seat at breakfast, and the seasoning was too strong. I stayed hoping to enjoy breakfast slowly and elegantly as before, but there were many disappointments. I was recommended to use the in-Room TV checkout; it was easy to operate and convenient, but even when I walked past the front desk with my luggage, all three staff members ignored me.\nI was disappointed that the quality had dropped this much.\n\nI felt it wasn’t worth the price.\nStill, the location is good and convenient.

    Improving the Breakfast Reservation System

I stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel Yokohama Minatomirai Premier. This was my second stay, and I have the same concern each time and would like to request an improvement. The breakfast Reservation system requires scanning a QR code, but the restaurant opens at 7:00 a.m., and QR-code Reservations also start at 7:00 a.m., which is very inconvenient. In addition, when I scan the QR code to reserve a time slot, it often shows “You are not currently in line,” but when I go to the restaurant it is full and I have to wait. The QR-code Reservation system is not working properly. I stayed for two nights this time, and the same situation occurred both days. As improvements, I suggest: 1) At check-in the day before, ask guests what time they would like to start breakfast the next morning. 2) Allow guests to reserve a breakfast start time via QR code from the day before. These should not be difficult changes, and I strongly hope you will implement them. The Hotel is wonderful, but it is disappointing that my rating becomes lower because the breakfast Reservation system is so poor. Thank you for your attention.

    Queue at check-in

I was very satisfied with the Room, meals, and location, but I was surprised by the huge line at check-in. The Hotel staff said it is always like this during the weekend check-in window (15:00–16:00), but if that’s the case, I feel there should be some countermeasures. I arrived a little before 15:00 on Saturday and waited about 40 minutes. Standing for 40 minutes while carrying heavy luggage was tough. I have stayed at quite a number of Hotels, but I have never had to wait in a situation like this. Other than that, it is a very good Hotel, so I hope they can do something about it—handing out numbered tickets, providing more chairs, staggering check-in times, or some other solution.

The front desk staff were excellent.

I arrived early before check-in and asked to store my luggage, but they kindly told me my Room was already ready and invited me in. I was very grateful because I was tired. The Room was very clean and well maintained.\nThere was a high-end Sony glass sound speaker, and I really wanted to connect it. I struggled and almost gave up, thinking my smartphone might be the problem, but I still wanted to listen. Even though the front desk was busy, they responded immediately. It couldn’t be solved over the phone, so they came to the Room to check and confirmed an issue with the unit, then replaced it. I listened to my favorite songs on my smartphone with amazing sound quality and was very satisfied.\nThank you for your help despite being busy.

The property was clean, close to the station, and very comfortable. However, perhaps due to the Golden Week holidays, check-in took a very long time, and I would appreciate it if this could be improved. Also, there was trash left in the toilet’s sanitary disposal bin, which was unpleasant. Please ensure nothing is missed during cleaning. If the lounge bar’s menu and pricing were adjusted so it could function more as a proper lounge, it might be easier to use. Despite these points, the staff were very helpful, and I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity. Thank you.

    A very clean Hotel

The Facility may be relatively new, but it was a very clean and well-maintained Hotel. It felt like the cleaning was thorough as well. The interior had warm, calming tones, and I was able to relax comfortably. I would have liked amenities such as toner, and it would have been nice to have a mirror in the Room besides the one at the sink, but otherwise there is nothing to complain about regarding the Room. I also wish the fitness center stayed open a bit later. Overall, I was very satisfied, and it’s a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

Sparkly vibe. Recommended for young travelers.

I have stayed at several other Mitsui Garden Hotels, and although this was my first time here, I was looking forward to it. As many reviews say, the Facilities are beautiful overall—well organized and very clean—and I felt it is a good Hotel. I didn’t have many chances to relax on the lobby floor due to meals and other plans, but I think it would be comfortable during less crowded hours. The overall design is based on bright tones, and the dimmable lighting and indirect illumination feel pleasant; personally, I like this atmosphere. Given the location and concept, there were relatively many younger guests and Asian visitors from overseas, so depending on the time of day or day of the week it sometimes felt a bit less calm. My Room wasn’t one of the larger types in its category, but it had wide windows with comfortable natural light; both during the day and with the night view, it was a pleasant environment around the clock. I personally feel that having laundry Facilities on multiple floors is a major advantage. I would appreciate it if you could include stick-type mouthwash—something that has become more common recently—among the amenities. Access to the station was a little confusing for someone unfamiliar with the area. The nearest station is Minatomirai Station, but many signs around the Accommodation entrance indicate Sakuragicho instead. Unlike Hotels right next to a station, this one is located within an orderly district layout, so opinions may vary for those who want various commercial Facilities immediately outside after leaving the Hotel. (That said, Landmark Plaza’s shopping area and MARK IS are nearby as well, so I don’t think you’ll have trouble finding basic dining options.)

    In-room slippers

The Room size was reasonable, and I was very satisfied with both the air conditioning and the shower water pressure. However, since the slippers were not made of towel fabric, they felt uncomfortable after bathing. I think disposable slippers would be better.

The facilities are good, but the service (hospitality) is terrible.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The building design—especially the beauty and usability of the guest rooms—really impressed us, but the service attitude was terrible. On the afternoon of our second day, we were relaxing in our Room when we could constantly hear housekeeping staff chatting loudly. When I complained to the front desk, trash was left behind even though they were supposed to have cleaned. This did not feel like a simple oversight; it was enough to make us suspect malice or retaliation by housekeeping. We also had unpleasant experiences at the breakfast restaurant on two consecutive days. Even though no one had reserved seats (we checked the Reservation page before going), they seemed unwilling to seat our small party at a larger table and tried to move us to a cramped seat with a pointless lie. When I pointed out the logical inconsistency, a male staff member responded in an annoyed tone: “Ah, okay. Then use this table,” behaving dismissively and rudely. My wife asked a female kitchen staff member if she could cut one whole banana into bite-size pieces and add it to her yogurt. They did it, but apparently with an expressionless “Huh?” reaction, roughly dumping the banana into the bowl and handing it back abruptly. My wife said sadly, “As another woman, I thought she would understand that peeling a banana and eating it in public can feel unrefined and uncomfortable—but it seems I bothered her.” At checkout, we filled out a shipping form at the front desk to send our suitcase home. A female front desk staff member repeatedly pressed us about what was inside. At first she asked what fragile items were included, which we answered. Then she asked what else was inside; as I felt uncomfortable answering, she smirked and said “Clothes,” writing it on the form without permission. Her behavior lacked discretion and professionalism—and honestly felt like sexual harassment. Throughout our stay, their low-level service seemed focused only on efficiency and turnover. When guests expect quietness, comfort, enjoyment, or refined hospitality from a decent Hotel, they are treated as “trouble” or “demanding” and simply managed. It was shocking how poor things were behind the scenes for a Hotel that calls itself five-star and premium on Google search results.

    With this pricing, ...

We stayed for two nights with breakfast included. The interior design was lovely, and the Room felt clean. As mentioned in Reviews, there were some restrictions at the pool, but it should be comfortable if you adjust your timing. It seemed very photo-worthy, and it was nice to see lots of young guests taking pictures. Breakfast was also pleasantly good. At this price point, there’s really nothing to complain about—hotels in central Tokyo would cost more. Overall, it feels like a Hotel somewhere between a Business Hotel and a luxury Hotel.

    View from the window

Reserved for my grandchild to visit the Anpanman Museum. Since the front desk is on the 20th floor, all rooms are on high floors. The view through the floor-to-ceiling glass was spectacular even from my 2-year-old grandchild’s eye level. Although they fell asleep early at night and the next morning was unfortunately cloudy, they were still thrilled with the view from the morning. It became a wonderful memory. My daughter’s family and their 2-year-old child stayed in a Deluxe King Room.

    Excellent

Check-in was smooth with just a quick confirmation—no address form required. The lobby, elevators, hallways, and Room were all very clean. I stayed in a Deluxe Triple, but it felt a bit small because there wasn’t enough space to open my suitcase. The bathroom area was also clean, and I could relax in the bath. When I asked the front desk for a straw, they kindly provided one, which I really appreciated.

I stayed here to go ...

I stayed here to go to Pia MM Arena. It’s right next door across the street, so I didn’t have to take a crowded train after the concert. The Room was comfortable and relaxing. I especially appreciated that the bath and toilet are separate, so I could soak in the tub—particularly nice in winter. I added breakfast, but I didn’t realize the curry (which is standard at many hotels) was “limited to 80 servings,” and when I went to have a bite of curry rice at the end, it had already been cleared away, which was disappointing. With the trendy open kitchen setup, it was also a bit off-putting that you could clearly see food being taken out of large plastic bags.

    The breakfast buffet is amazing!

If you’re staying in Minato Mirai and want breakfast included, this Hotel’s quality makes it the only choice. I think all Garden Hotels are consistently high level. I canceled the pool this time because it was far too cold last time and felt like endurance training both indoors and outdoors. I hope the water temperature has been raised. It can take time to exit the parking lot, so please be aware if you’re visiting by car.

A hidden gem you’ll want to keep to yourself.

The view, location, Room, and price were all comfortable, and I was very satisfied. If I had to mention one drawback, there were only two elevators at checkout, so we had to line up and wait. I’m not sure whether the neighboring Room happened to be quiet or was vacant, but it was peaceful and I could relax; however, there were many Taiwanese or Chinese guests, and they were so loud that their voices echoed down the hallway—I don’t think it would have been as relaxing if my Room had been next to theirs. It would be helpful if Rooms could be assigned separately for Japanese guests and international guests.

    The view was amazing!

The unobstructed view from the top floor was amazing! The separate sink, bath, and toilet made it very comfortable to stay and relax. It would be nice to have bath salts included in the amenities. As always, the delicious breakfast was great, and it was helpful to see the crowd status. However... as mentioned in other reviews, the coffee was weak and not tasty. Perhaps it was just that particular morning.

    It was a wonderful Hotel!

Stayed for one night in January. The room was spacious enough for a solo stay. The bay view from the lobby and the room was excellent. Access to the terrace from the lobby allowed me to enjoy the beautiful scenery both day and night. I dined at the on-site restaurant without a reservation. The dinner course was delicious, with satisfying quality and quantity. The restaurant staff provided detailed explanations of each dish during service and recommended wines that paired well, offering attentive hospitality. Despite many hotels nowadays seeming understaffed, this hotel's lobby had sufficient staff, making check-in and check-out smooth. I would love to stay here again!
