    Clean, with a large pool.

    We stayed for two nights after another Accommodation. The pool is large and open from morning to night, and our kids were happy swimming the whole time. You can’t see the ocean, and there is no dryer (though things dry quickly anyway), no kitchen (there is a sink and plates), and no bath (there is a shower). There is a jacuzzi-style bath next to the pool. Drinking water was available from a dispenser. We prioritized the pool above all else, so we were satisfied overall, including the cost. Even if you don’t book a Room with a private pool, it seems there may also be a shared pool. It’s not too far from central Naha and close enough to visit the aquarium. We had heavy rain but still enjoyed our stay! There’s a convenience store and gas station nearby, but not many places to eat. The staff were polite and kind, and the Facility was clean. Since we used the pool so much, they also replaced our towels many times.

    Ants may appear.

    As mentioned in other Reviews, there were ants in the Room. This may be unavoidable with this type of Room, but if you are not comfortable with that, please be aware. Regarding breakfast, other Reviews suggested there was also a Japanese option, but we were not asked and it was automatically Western-style. Also, the elementary school children did not receive salad. There was nothing in the refrigerator either. Maybe that is to be expected since it was a good-value Plan... However, I had thought I upgraded from the Room I originally booked even after paying a Cancellation Fee, so it was a bit disappointing. The Room was spacious and nice.

    Our policy during typhoon season is as follows:

    I stayed here before and had a great experience, so I booked again. However, this time the response made me feel this is a Hotel I would not want to use during typhoon season. Because my return flight was likely to be canceled, I asked whether I could cancel without a Cancellation Fee, but was told it was not possible without an official flight cancellation certificate… The airline and rental car company allowed me to cancel at no cost, but only the Hotel would not. So I decided to go ahead with the trip anyway, but then I was told: “Because of the typhoon, there is a high possibility of a power outage or water stoppage (pump system).” “If the water stops, please use this (bucket) yourself for the jacuzzi.” Since going out also seemed difficult in the storm, I tried to arrange dinner at the Hotel, but was told: “Because there may be a power outage, we cannot accept dinner reservations.” So I couldn’t cancel my stay—and even if I stayed, services would be limited… As an aside, my flight cancellation was confirmed the day after check-in. I checked out in dangerous conditions with strong winds around 20 m/s and headed home.

    A Disappointing Stay Due to a Severe Indoor Insect Infestation and Inadequate Response

    My wife, our one-year-old daughter, and I stayed for two nights in a pool villa. In conclusion, I would not choose to stay here again, and this experience has made me reconsider using Banyan Tree group hotels altogether. We have stayed at Accommodations in the same price range (about JPY 50,000–100,000 per night) both in Japan and overseas, but this was the first time we felt such strong dissatisfaction with hygiene and staff response. The most serious issue was hygiene. Immediately after check-in, hundreds of ants appeared around the main balcony and service entrance area, and large numbers also entered the Room. The insect spray provided was ineffective, so we gave up using the pool on the first night despite looking forward to it. The next day, when towels were exchanged, we explained the situation and requested additional insect spray, but nothing was done. When we returned to the Room it had worsened further, so we contacted the front desk. The staff member who came said “This is terrible—maybe because a typhoon is approaching,” but only used a hose to wash ants into the pool; no thorough extermination was carried out. Even after we expressed concern because we had a small child with us, they only said that “other Rooms don’t have this issue.” Only after we requested a Room change did they check availability; however, it took over an hour to complete the move. As a result, we were only able to use the pool and jacuzzi for about 30 minutes. Staff response was consistently reactive rather than proactive. A bed guard that we had requested at Reservation was suddenly said to be “not available” on arrival. Even after changing Rooms, essential items were missing (such as chairs by the poolside and in the shower room), and although we were told “we’ll bring them right away,” we waited nearly 30 minutes. Also, it was not clearly communicated in advance that even during a Multiple Night Stay there would be no Room cleaning—only towel replacement. Furthermore, at checkout there was no apology or explanation regarding these issues. I also hope for improvements to in-room amenities: toothpaste was provided only for one use and was insufficient for a Multiple Night Stay; without a bed guard it is difficult for families with young children to feel safe; and only one box of tissues was provided—which was clearly inadequate given how unhygienic conditions were. While the Facility atmosphere and Room design were appealing, within just 10 minutes of starting our stay we encountered serious hygiene problems—and afterward did not receive appropriate support—greatly diminishing what should have been an enjoyable stay. I strongly hope improvements are made to hygiene management and staff response so that other guests do not have similar experiences.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    Because a typhoon was approaching on our last day, they kindly recommended that we move to Naha and quickly processed a shortened stay due to the weather. I’m very grateful to the female staff member who provided such pleasant and appropriate guidance. They also happily cut up fruit we bought at a local market and stored it in the refrigerator for us. We felt so comfortable that we wanted to stay until our final day in Okinawa, but we’ll be back!

    This was my second s...

    This was my second stay, and it was wonderful again. First, my check-in ended up being quite late, but the staff handled it kindly and professionally. Since this trip also celebrated my daughter’s 4th birthday, I requested Room decorations. They gladly accommodated the request, and my daughter was thrilled when she saw them. Thank you as well for the fruit platter. Because it’s a villa with a private pool, we could enjoy the pool anytime without worrying about others—perfect for families with children. Unlimited drinking water was also great, and having two toilets, two sinks, and two showers (in the Room type we stayed in this time) was another big plus. It’s such a comfortable Hotel that I would definitely like to stay here again.

    It was absolutely amazing.

    My spouse and I stayed for one night on March 4 to join an activity in Onna Village. We chose this place because the price was reasonable, but in the best way, the pricing feels unreal. Honestly, we’d stay even if it cost twice as much. A spacious, completely private room and two private garden areas. The jacuzzi is also large—everything was perfect. We should have booked a Multiple Night Stay. All of the staff had such a calm, welcoming vibe, and it really helped us unwind from our trip! We will definitely be back next time. Maybe we’ll try it with meals included then.

    Isn’t it Agu pork!?

    The Room amenities were as expected. Even though we had a child, the amenities were for adults... Whenever we needed assistance or caused any inconvenience, the staff’s response was excellent. However, the air conditioner not working from the moment we entered the Room was disappointing, as this is not a particularly cheap Hotel. That said, the deciding factor was the meals. We like Agu pork, and even our picky child should have eaten Agu pork... It was one of our main reasons for visiting Okinawa. We ordered the Agu pork shabu-shabu with high expectations, but it tasted so ordinary that it felt almost misleading. After one bite, our child wouldn’t eat any more... The appetizers were also adult-oriented, so of course they didn’t eat those either. I was really disappointed. Of course taste is subjective, but both dinner and breakfast didn’t suit our child’s palate. The rating is for how good the staff were. Overall, it didn’t feel like good value for money.

    Third stay. The service has gotten worse.

    This was my third stay in three consecutive years. I’m writing about the service changes that have made things worse this time. 1) Until last year, soft drinks and beer were stocked in the in-room refrigerator every day and replenished the next day. Water is always available from a dispenser (with hot water as well), but since this Hotel has no restaurant facilities, I felt that having drinks replenished in the refrigerator was a valuable service—however, it has been discontinued this year. I stay at Accommodations all over Japan almost every month, and at most places in the 100,000-yen-per-night range for two people with dinner and breakfast included, the refrigerator is usually complimentary. Considering there is no dinner included here, along with the location and Facilities, cutting back on bottled drinks feels unreasonable. Buying drinks is easy enough, but carrying heavy beverages on foot from the parking lot to a Room located far inside is extremely unpleasant. Avoiding that hassle was one of the reasons I chose to stay. 2) At check-in I filled out a form to choose whether sheets should be changed or not. I cannot tolerate sleeping on the same sheets while traveling, so I selected “change,” but they were not changed until I contacted staff and they came to replace them. However, I saw a staff member throw freshly laundered sheets onto the floor before making the bed, which made me feel there was no point in changing them. There were also mosquito stains and blood on a pillowcase. It seemed they did not check cleanliness before bringing items to the Room. *The staff were polite, friendly, and wonderful people.* 3) It stated that Diamond members receive one complimentary beer, but it was not provided. 4) It said welcome soft drinks would be placed in the refrigerator; however, there were only three plastic bottles for the number of adults—each a different kind—and they were all very sweet (e.g., Bireley’s). I didn’t want them and gave them to local friends instead. I would have liked an option to choose. 5) Breakfast was described as “renewed,” but I could not tell what had changed compared with my previous two stays. In any case, it is not breakfast worthy of this price. 6) After returning home, I started receiving frequent direct messages from Banyan Tree Group. Since I won’t be going again and don’t need them, I blocked them. I’m very disappointed because this used to be one of my favorites. Even in January during off-season pricing (60,000 yen per night), this did not feel like service worth paying for. I hope you will improve it.

    A Hotel Where You Can Relax Like Home

    The room had a modern and clean design with no unnecessary elements. Laundry detergent was provided, and we could borrow a drying rack, which allowed us to do more laundry than planned. Both Western and Japanese meals were delicious, and the portion size was just right for me, though it might be small for those with larger appetites. We enjoyed eating in the room comfortably. The room is primarily designed for two people, so if four people stay together, you may need to put away the futons to have enough space to eat at the same time. The books available in the room were interesting; I read some of them. The travel guidebooks were very helpful, especially those about Okinawa's history. Unfortunately, due to bad weather and strong winds during our stay, it was too cold for water activities in the pool. The jacuzzi is fine if you think of it as an open-air bath; however, since it cannot be heated automatically, you'll need to fill it with hot water manually. As there’s no bathtub in the room itself, this feature is quite valuable despite being outdoors where small leaves may fall into it. There’s a convenience store nearby but not many restaurants serving dinner options close by. One evening we dined at "Bar amo," located about 2 km away. Accommodations that can host four people in one room are rare and valuable here. While this place might not satisfy those seeking luxury accommodations strongly, I would consider staying here again when visiting Onna Village or Yomitan Village next time!

    A Wonderful 2-Day Stay

    I stayed for two nights in December at the Yumihapool Villa, and it was wonderful. The pool was heated, so once you got in, it was warm. Although it felt cold when getting out, the adjacent jacuzzi provided a cozy way to warm up. The kids were thrilled to swim in the winter pool and ended up going in eight times during our stay! We traveled with an infant, and upon arrival, the staff kindly prepared a baby chair, diaper bin, and detergent set for us. This made our stay very comfortable. We opted for breakfast included and enjoyed different menus over two days—Japanese on one day and Western on the other—both delicious. The staff were kind, the room was kept clean, and we created wonderful travel memories. Thank you so much! Highly recommended!

    A wonderful Hotel for a relaxing stay

    I stayed here for a girls' gathering. I regret only booking for one night—there's a washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, and even a large bottle of mineral water provided, so no worries about drinking water! If I had known it was this comfortable, I would have booked a multiple night stay! The manager's thoughtful hospitality was subtle yet wonderful. I'll definitely come back to stay again! During my stay, I wanted to relax with my friends without interruptions, and this hotel was perfect for that!

    I had a very relaxing stay. The private pool was a great feature, allowing me to swim whenever I wanted, and I was very satisfied. It was extremely comfortable with no noise from outside. I would love to stay here again!

    Stayed in a villa with a jacuzzi. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable for our stay. The quiet location allowed us to relax at ease. The jacuzzi was incredibly enjoyable, and we used it multiple times during the day, night, and morning. The shower in the bathroom was also very pleasant. The room's speaker system was excellent as well. Although this time we could only stay for one night due to a sudden plan, we would love to stay longer next time!

    Repeat Done!

    Simply the best accommodation. We stayed as a group of 4 adults and a 0-year-old baby. Although we have visited Okinawa many times, this was our first time staying in a villa-type accommodation. Since our other stay was at a resort hotel, we chose this quiet and relaxing accommodation for this part of the trip, and it was absolutely the right choice. With a pool, jacuzzi, and in-room dining available, we didn’t step outside after checking in. It was two days of pure relaxation where I could forget about childcare and fully enjoy the resort atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the Okinawan specialty Agu pork that left us completely satisfied. Additionally, their thoughtful consideration for our baby was incredibly helpful. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Okinawa!

    Repeat Stay!

    Stayed with my husband for a repeat visit. As always, the staff provided kind and cheerful service, and we enjoyed a relaxing tropical resort stay. We had a peaceful and leisurely time together. This is a villa with a serene atmosphere, yet equipped with modern amenities like the latest shower facilities, making it very comfortable and easy to stay. The Hotel perfectly blends comfort, coziness, and tranquility. For those in their 40s or 50s like us, the private pool offers a space to unwind without worrying about others and feel youthful again.     A Mini Trip with Your Family!

    I live in Okinawa, but I wanted to experience something extraordinary, so I decided to stay here. The pool was clean, and I was able to relax without worrying about time. As it got dark, fireflies appeared!!! The starry sky was beautiful, and we were surrounded by the scent of nature. Our whole family felt refreshed. The staff were very kind and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable! Our children are already saying they want to come back again, so we will definitely visit again! Thank you very much!

    I want to visit again!

    The phone response when I informed about the delay in arrival was very polite, and the thoughtful words like "Please take your time and travel safely" made me very happy. It left a positive impression even before arrival, allowing me to start my short trip pleasantly. The Room was so spacious yet impeccably clean, showing how thoroughly it had been maintained. The "quiet private space" was very comfortable, letting me fully enjoy an extraordinary experience. Additionally, having plenty of towels prepared allowed me to enjoy the pool without worry! The water dispenser was also much appreciated. I did notice a stain on the sofa which caught my attention slightly, and I felt disappointed as I had expected Japanese-style breakfast (I interpreted it as being able to choose between Japanese or Western). However, I still had an amazing time overall. Thank you so much! Next time, I would love a Multiple Night Stay.

    Annual Okinawa Trip

    We visited as a group of 7. One member had dietary restrictions, so we made a request via email in advance and received confirmation over the phone. However, on the day of our visit, all 7 meals were prepared with items that could not be consumed by that individual. When we informed the male staff member, his response was dismissive and no action was taken to address the issue. It was extremely frustrating. Is this what one can expect from Banyan Tree?

    With a 2-year-old and an infant

    We stayed in a room with a private pool because our child loves swimming. This year's Golden Week in Okinawa was chilly, so the heated pool was still quite cold, but we warmed up in the bath next to the pool while enjoying it (laughs). Having a bath next to the pool is really helpful on cold days! The shabu-shabu dinner was delicious. The meat portions were generous, and dessert was included, which made us very satisfied. Breakfast being delivered to the room was convenient as well. Since we have kids, we opted for in-room dining this time, but we'd love to try dining at the main building's restaurant someday. However, there was only a washing machine without a dryer, and the drying stand provided was quite basic, so I rated the facility one point lower for that reason.

    Perfect for families with young children!

    This trip was with our 1-year-old child. We were considering a famous Hotel, but chose this one because it has a pool, jacuzzi, and spacious Room where our child could walk around. The result? We were extremely satisfied!! When we checked with the Hotel in advance, we found out there were no bed guards available. However, since there was a Japanese-style Room, we rented futons and slept there instead. Meals were delivered to the Room, so we didn’t have to worry about other people or noise. The Room was spacious enough for our child to walk around freely and enjoy themselves! There was also a water dispenser available at all times for making milk and even a microwave for preparing meals for the baby. We had everything we needed to spend time comfortably without any inconvenience. The staff members were all very kind and polite as well! For being a villa-type accommodation, I feel like the price is quite reasonable too. Located just before Onna Village, it took only about 30–60 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go—great accessibility! We would love to stay here again when visiting Okinawa next time.     An elegant moment surrounded by nature

    I am grateful for the opportunity to stay in such a private and well-maintained space. The hospitality, facilities, and services were all excellent—perfectly balanced without being excessive. My husband and I enjoyed the pool like children, woke up to the sound of cows in the morning, and had a truly elegant time. I would love to stay here again.

    Stayed at Yumihapool...

    Stayed at Yumihapool Villa. Comes with a pool and jacuzzi. The small pool is about 5 meters, not ideal for adults to swim but perfect for kids to play in the water. Spacious and clean with a bedroom, Ryukyu-style Japanese room, and living room. Daily room cleaning is a nice touch. The fridge drinks are replenished daily, which is greatly appreciated. Breakfast is delivered to the room and even set up on the table—very convenient. While there’s no ocean view from the room, it’s quiet and perfect for a relaxing stay, making it ideal for repeat visitors to Okinawa. Overall, it was a satisfying accommodation experience.

    It was a wonderful villa!

    I stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. All the staff were truly lovely, with warm smiles and attentive service! Their hospitality was heartfelt. The Room and pool were very clean. Having a washing machine was also helpful. Although there wasn’t a dryer, I was provided with an indoor drying rack, so it wasn’t an issue at all. As per the concept, I could relax just like at home. The cost performance is excellent as well. I will definitely stay again. Thank you very much!

    Second Stay

    I stayed at the Garden Villa last July and had such a relaxing time that I decided to visit again. This time, I debated quite a bit while comparing it with several nearby accommodations, but as a senior couple, moving around inside massive hotels and dealing with noisy foreign guests was too much for us. So we chose the Pool Villa this time, which allowed us to swim whenever we wanted, enjoy the jacuzzi, and relax in spacious comfort—it was perfect. Last time, the breakfast portions were so large that I couldn’t finish them and found it overwhelming. However, this time they kindly accommodated my request for smaller portions while still serving delicious meals. I truly appreciated their thoughtfulness. On the second night of our three-night stay, winged ants appeared in large numbers near the window. Despite it being past midnight (around 12 AM), staff came to clean up promptly. Apparently, this is common at the end of the rainy season. While I’m fine with insects or geckos myself, my husband isn’t fond of them—so their assistance was greatly appreciated. Since this accommodation is surrounded by nature, you may encounter some insects or geckos here and there; however, our room was spotlessly clean so it didn’t bother us at all. We plan to visit again next year! Thank you very much!

    First Trip with Children

    The Room was spacious, clean, and excellent! The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. It was great to have it delivered to the Room at our specified time. Since we were traveling with a child, they had kindly arranged the bed against the wall in advance. We truly appreciated their thoughtfulness. We will definitely stay here again. It was our first trip with our baby, and it became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much!

    I would love to stay here again.

    We stayed as a group of three friends and enjoyed the spacious accommodation with both a pool and jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing. The pool is heated, so we could use it even on a day when the highest temperature was 24°C. The Room was clean, with two toilets and showers, making it very convenient. Additionally, having a water dispenser and complimentary drinks in the fridge was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service, making our stay very comfortable. It would have been better if there were enough chairs at the table for everyone since there were only two available.

    We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days this time. Traveling with a small child made us a bit anxious, but the staff who guided us at the beginning arranged for check-in to be done in our room, which was incredibly helpful. The room was more spacious and cleaner than we had imagined, and we loved the outdoor jacuzzi so much that we even used it in the morning! We were also grateful for the thoughtful amenities like bottle cleaning supplies and a diaper trash bin! The breakfast was delicious, we slept comfortably at night, and there wasn’t a single thing to complain about. It was such an amazing accommodation that I can confidently say it’s the best place we've ever stayed during our travels. Thanks to the wonderful staff and excellent room, it became an unforgettable trip. Next time, I’d love to stay here with my whole family. Thank you so much! *Even though it was a multiple night stay, when we informed the front desk about going out during the day, they kindly made up our bed, took out trash, replenished dishes while we were away—coming back tired from playing all day to find such a clean room waiting for us truly made us happy!*
