Breakfast Seating
Breakfast Seating Window-side seats with a nice view were all reserved for foreign tourists, and despite being the first to enter, we were guided to an inner seat. This felt like reverse discrimination and left a bad impression. Dinner Service During dinner, there was an explanation of the ingredients and cooking methods, but the staff spoke in a low voice, too quickly, and with poor enunciation. Even though it was in Japanese, it was impossible to understand what they were saying. It felt as though there was no effort to communicate clearly; instead, they seemed to be reciting memorized lines without emotion. Bathroom Amenities Despite staying for one night, only one portion of basic skincare products was provided in the bathroom amenities. Shouldn't two portions be provided for morning and evening use? Overall Impression In general, staff members spoke in low voices and too quickly, making them difficult to understand.

The accommodation is wonderful, but it is difficult to reach.
The accommodation, meals, and staff were all excellent. However, when trying to reach by car, the location did not appear on the navigation system, and I had to call multiple times for directions before finally arriving.

View from the lounge, drinks, spacious Room, and Rurikoin.
I thoroughly enjoyed this accommodation as I wanted a quiet stay. The healthful tea, perfectly balanced drinks, the view of trees from the window (amazing), nature-themed interior, and the garden all contributed to a peaceful and relaxing experience. Crossing the suspension bridge to take the Eizan Railway, dining on a riverside platform, finding my favorite Haagen-Dazs Crispy Sandwich in a vending machine when nearby restaurants were full, and enjoying it by the riverbank were memorable moments. Visiting Rurikoin Temple next door (so close and impressive) for matcha and traditional sweets amidst breathtaking views was another highlight. It was an ideal getaway for adults with so many elements I personally loved about this accommodation. I would love to visit again. The breakfast portion felt slightly small for me, but having inari sushi provided was helpful!

A Luxurious Getaway
We stayed as a family of five to relax and recover from summer fatigue. From the warm welcome, the aroma-filled interior, and impressive decor, our expectations were naturally heightened. With the all-inclusive plan, we enjoyed unlimited soft drinks and sparkling wine in the lounge, as well as complimentary beverages in the room. The room was simple yet cozy with comfortable lighting, a sofa, and high-quality amenities that made it satisfying even without an onsen. The meals featured plenty of locally sourced vegetables and were carefully prepared to delight both our stomachs and hearts. For a late-night snack, inari sushi was provided, while breakfast offered three options to choose from—ensuring satisfaction for all three generations traveling together. Although we didn’t use the highly recommended sauna this time around, we look forward to staying again specifically to enjoy it!

It was amazing!
When driving to the Hotel, I thought I got lost near the station, but after contacting them, I was guided to continue on what seemed like a pedestrian path and arrived safely. The space was calm and very comfortable! Thank you for helping with the birthday surprise in advance; from arranging the Room's bed-making to delivering a cake to the Room, my partner was very happy!! The food was delicious, and the staff's service was excellent—it turned out to be a perfect trip. Thank you so much!!

Revisit
Thank you for taking care of us on our second stay. Following our previous stay in a Superior Room, this time we stayed in a Standard Room. As with last time, we were very satisfied with the meals and service, and the all-inclusive offerings were wonderful, allowing us to enjoy a truly relaxing time. However, there was one thing that concerned us. Our Room was on the first floor, and it seemed that the laundry on the same floor was being used after 1:00 a.m. The washing machine noise was quite loud—so much so that it was difficult to fall asleep. We returned because we were drawn to your wonderful “Reborn” concept, but to be honest, that night felt more like “endurance training.” If a quieter environment could be ensured for our next stay, I believe we would be able to relax even more wholeheartedly.

You can experience an extraordinary atmosphere.
Stepping into the Hotel, you are greeted by the stunning beauty of trees through large glass windows, instantly lifting your spirits. Enjoy a fragrant green tea gin and tonic in the lounge before strolling through the garden as you anticipate dinner time. The creative course meal features freshly harvested vegetables from Ohara, seasonal seafood, and carefully selected beef cooked over a wood fire. The comforting crackle of the fire enhances the dining experience, making it truly delightful. This wonderful Hotel offers an escape from daily life, and I look forward to visiting again in a different season. However, there are some concerns: the Room design prioritizes aesthetics over functionality, and even with a Multiple Night Stay, breakfast remains exactly the same each day. For those choosing Japanese-style breakfast featuring rice cooked in an earthen pot with egg topping as its main dish, it would be nice to have an additional side dish like vegetable ohitashi instead of tamagoyaki (rolled omelet).

It was a great accommodation.
We enjoyed a delightful time at the hotel. First, the garden was wonderful—a "100-year-old historical garden." It wasn't artificially designed but featured layered greenery and dappled sunlight. We could sit in the lounge, sipping tea, and admire it endlessly. With the all-inclusive accommodation package, we enjoyed various original blended teas and alcoholic beverages in the lounge. The room was well-designed with separate bedroom and living spaces. The bathroom had a proper washing area as well. Most impressive was the food—dinner by the fireplace was a first for us. With only three groups dining at the same time, staff attentively paced each course to match our eating speed, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. For breakfast, we chose Japanese cuisine with clay pot rice and local eggs—it was delicious! Since it was after Obon season with fewer guests staying, service felt especially attentive and luxurious; we fully indulged in this relaxing hotel experience. We are already discussing making this our regular accommodation in Kyoto if our next stay is just as enjoyable as this one—we will definitely return!

It was a very nice accommodation.
I was surprised to find such a wonderful place near my husband's family home. The Room was incredibly clean, and the windows were so spotless that they looked almost invisible. The view from the Room was fantastic, and the all-inclusive service was excellent. The entire facility felt like an art museum, and I couldn't stop taking pictures. In the lounge, a staff member kindly shared stories about Moksa with us. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and attentive to every detail. One suggestion would be to add handrails in certain parts of the bathtub in the Room's bathroom for added safety. The edge of what seemed like a marble-style bathtub was quite slippery, and as someone with short legs who needed to step on it to get in, I almost slipped—though it made me laugh. Other than that, everything else exceeded expectations! They provided great phone support and prepared a wheelchair for my grandmother with mobility issues as well as an extra chair for use in the bath—this helped us tremendously. The food was absolutely delicious! The clay pot rice served at breakfast left such an impression that even after making rice balls from what remained, I still didn’t want to leave. This experience created wonderful memories with my husband’s family. Both my parents and grandmother were overjoyed. Thank you very much!

Everything was perfect.
The inari sushi upon arrival, the Room, the meals, and the garden were all exceptional. Each dish at dinner was delicate and delicious, making it enjoyable until the very end. Breakfast also conveyed careful preparation in every dish and was truly delightful. Despite this year's intense heat with little time to relax daily, stepping outside at night brought cool air and refreshing insect sounds. I would love to visit again!

Accommodation at the Foot of the Mountain
Although it’s a bit of a walk from the station, you can enjoy the serene atmosphere of Kyoto as you proceed. There is a small stream in the valley, which is especially delightful for children during midsummer! At dawn, unlike the loud cicadas in the city, you’ll be soothed by the melancholic chirping of higurashi cicadas.

A wonderful accommodation true to its concept
I was looking for a place away from the city to spend some relaxing time, and I found this spot. Although I saw some low-rated reviews, I personally had no unpleasant experiences and enjoyed a very comfortable stay. The atmosphere of the guest rooms and the entire building, the amazing sauna, and the special garden view were all incredibly soothing. The staff were all kind, and both the food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Perhaps because I had been eagerly reading about their concept on their website days in advance, I was able to fully appreciate my visit. Thank you for a wonderful time!

At the Summer Retreat
It was a wonderful inn. The firewood-cooked meals were a first for me, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. Thank you for accommodating all my dietary preferences and removing items I couldn't eat. One suggestion: it would have been nice to have bath salts and a bath slope available. I had a relaxing and leisurely stay, and I look forward to staying again in the future. Thank you!

Accommodation Worth Revisiting
The facility was clean, the staff's hospitality was excellent, and it was a very good accommodation. The meals were delicious and the portions were sufficient. Since I didn't use the sauna this time, I think it would be nice to have bath salts for guest rooms as well as a bath chair and bucket. I would like to visit again in another season.

It was a relaxing experience.
This was my first time staying here. The calm atmosphere, drink service while enjoying the beautiful garden view, and the spacious Room were all wonderful. The hospitality of the staff was also very comforting. I would love to visit again.

A place you'll want to visit again and again, embracing the beauty of each season.
We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. Although we had high expectations based on reviews, the Hotel, service, and dining exceeded them in every way, allowing us to enjoy an extraordinary experience. One of the highlights was the all-inclusive feature—not a typical self-service setup but a refined lounge that embodies the essence of the Hotel. The relaxed atmosphere and selection of drinks were perfect for both alcohol and tea enthusiasts. Each drink was attentively served with care, and even the nuts were incredibly delicious. The Kyoto craft beer and roasted green tea gin tonic were exceptional! The special feeling of being in this lounge made it so enjoyable that even without booking a high-tier Room, we felt highly satisfied. That said, our Room's modern Japanese design was also very charming. And above all else—the food was truly outstanding! In Tokyo, this dinner would likely cost around 20,000 yen per person with drinks included... Considering that, it's incredibly reasonable here! I look forward to visiting two or three times a year during seasons like autumn foliage or winter scenery. The late-night inari sushi snack was also delightful. Breakfast perfectly embodied an ideal Japanese morning meal—it reminded me how fortunate I am to be born in Japan. Before summer arrived, herons visited the pond right outside while wind chimes rang softly amidst fresh greenery—a moment that healed both body and soul completely.

Relaxing Lounge
The highlight of this hotel is the lounge with its excellent location. During our 2-night stay, we visited it 5 times and enjoyed 8 drinks. The staff, including Manager Ikeda, young and charming male staff members, and a friendly female staff member with study-abroad experience who loves Italy, made our time there very enjoyable. The laundry service is also a great convenience. It would be even better if laundry nets were provided. Dinner was delicious, and the free drink menu is already sufficient as it is. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be to provide bath additives for an even better experience. While autumn foliage might be the best season to visit, this early summer season was also very pleasant. I highly recommend visiting together with Enryakuji Temple on Mount Hiei. For a quiet and relaxing stay elsewhere, I also recommend the accommodation "Sakamoto" in Noto. Thank you for providing such a wonderful time!

Beyond expectations, a retreat in an extraordinary environment rather than just a resort.
I had been curious about this accommodation for a while, but since I wasn't particularly interested in its main attraction, the sauna, I had postponed my stay. However, as I needed to visit Kyoto for some errands, I decided to take advantage of a special offer on IKYU.com. Having previously lived in Kyoto and still residing relatively nearby, returning felt like coming back home rather than exploring something new. However, upon arriving at this location far removed from the city center, the journey itself evoked a sense of travel excitement. The sight of the majestic mountains right in front of the hotel was breathtaking and gave me an otherworldly feeling. The quiet staff welcomed me warmly with herbal tea as a welcome drink during a relaxed seated check-in process. Although I stayed in their smallest room this time, opening the window revealed lush greenery that provided an open and spacious atmosphere without any sense of confinement. The lobby offers stunning views of layers upon layers of vibrant green scenery. Exploring further reveals an enchanting Japanese garden with stepping stones leading you through its depths. Each angle presents unique natural beauty that is both exciting and heartwarming—so much so that you may lose track of time while enjoying it. The garden's seasonal transformations make me want to return during different times of the year. After leisurely strolling through the garden, I enjoyed drinks at their bar near reception while admiring their exquisite tea ware collection against the backdrop of beautiful garden views. Tea enthusiasts will appreciate offerings such as herbal teas from Kyoto’s renowned HAHAHAUS shop alongside whiskey and wine selections. Their original roasted tea gin tonic was truly exceptional—a deep flavor that lingers delightfully. The entire facility is incredibly tranquil no matter where you are; even its lighting design enhances this serene ambiance with indirect and spot lighting creating a calming effect. Breakfast exceeded expectations despite opting for a plan without dinner on this occasion—its meticulous preparation made me eager to try dinner next time! The rice cooked in an oversized earthen pot was especially flavorful compared to typical clay pot rice dishes elsewhere. Everything about my stay felt soothing and relaxing down to every detail—including high-quality amenities thoughtfully provided throughout my experience here. Next time around? I'll definitely try out their sauna facilities too—and perhaps enjoy a multiple night stay!

It was a relaxing stay.
We enjoyed a relaxing three-day stay surrounded by lush greenery. Dinner featured fresh local vegetables and wood-fired dishes, complemented by a small but satisfying selection of free-flowing drinks. The room was comfortable, allowing us to unwind and recover from daily fatigue. However, there were a few disappointments: the Japanese breakfast was exactly the same despite our Multiple Night Stay; when requesting late check-out, two front desk staff asked the same question at different times even though they were seated next to each other; and despite requesting a one-hour late check-out, we received a call shortly after 11 AM asking if we had checked out yet. Additionally, there was no acknowledgment of this issue during check-out. It seemed that communication among the front desk staff could be improved. Other than these points, everything else was smooth, and we truly enjoyed a peaceful stay while being soothed by the beauty of nature's greenery.

Repeat guests welcome!
Thank you for your hospitality. The accommodation was very clean and well-maintained, allowing us to have a very pleasant stay. The room, bath, bed, and toilet were all excellent. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. However, there was one mystery... When lying on the bed and looking up at the ceiling, I noticed something attached to the round fire safety device. Perhaps it was overlooked during cleaning as it’s on the ceiling? Upon taking a photo and enlarging it, I believe it might be a medical patch. Why would such an item be in such a place? This was in Room 207. That said, it did not affect our experience at all—we had a wonderful stay! Thank you so much!

A Quiet Hidden Accommodation in Yase
Located in a quiet area away from the bustling streets of Kyoto, this accommodation offers a relaxing stay. The garden features weeping cherry trees and maple trees—perfect to visit during the illuminated season. Dinner was served in an open kitchen with delightful wood-fired cooking. Breakfast was just the right portion, with delicious rice cooked in a pot and egg-topped rice. I tried the mist sauna, though it felt slightly cooler than expected! The late-night inari sushi was a thoughtful touch. I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

It was a trip where I could relax as it was a weekday and Kyoto city was relatively uncrowded. The dinner was not only healthy but also very delicious, making me want to visit again in another season.

Beautiful garden and delicious food
It is located very close to Rurikoin, in a scenic area. The garden with a blue pond where koi swim is wonderful. Also, both dinner and breakfast were orthodox but delicious. The disappointing points are the tea and sauna. I expected the first aroma of brand-name tea brewed in a teapot, but it was quite disappointing that there was only blended tea from a thermal pot. As for the sauna, I gave up due to the extra charge comparable to a massage fee. It might be better not to expect too much from "regeneration."

Relaxing Time
We enjoyed a quiet, unhurried, and elegant stay. After checking in, we visited Okage Shrine and Kurama. Since Ohara is less than a 20-minute drive away, we were also able to enjoy sightseeing with moksa as our base. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and very satisfying, so we would love to return in every season.

The management company is terrible.
The facilities are good, but the staff is not trained at all, which makes me feel sorry for them in a way. Although it is marketed as all-inclusive, there are few free items available, which seems like a sneaky operation. The satisfaction with the service aspect was significantly low, and I felt that a restructuring of management was necessary during my stay. It's a shame given the good facilities; it made me wonder if it's being run as a hobby by the owner.

There were some concerns, but it was a wonderful stay.
Thank you very much for your hospitality. The spacious and comfortable room and the delicious meals were excellent, but if you expect guests to spend a lot of time indoors, I think the amenities could be improved a bit more. Firstly, as others have mentioned, it would be helpful to have something to wear over the indoor wear provided as it can be cold. Also, the number of towels seems insufficient for a hotel of this class. I feel hesitant to ask for more (though I did), and it's also inconvenient. Additionally, it would be nice to have more snacks and tea sweets available to fully enjoy the all-inclusive experience. Furthermore, there was one thing that caught my attention during check-in. A staff member mentioned that "your room has been upgraded," but we stayed in the room we originally reserved rather than an upgrade. It seems there might have been some confusion with another guest's reservation. While offering upgrades is not an issue—in fact, it's appreciated when they happen—how does this affect guests who originally reserved that category? At least some consideration should be given to those who initially booked that category, and perhaps it wasn't necessary to inform us about upgrading someone from a lower category.

The food was delicious.
I left my luggage at the Hotel and first went to the nearby Mikage Shrine. The air was crisp and refreshing, so I highly recommend it. The dinner cooked over a bonfire was delicious and made me feel happy. I liked the orange olive oil so much that I bought some to take home. The breakfast with rice topped with raw egg was also shiny and delicious. Since it was a weekday, it wasn't crowded, allowing for a relaxed and leisurely time. I've heard the sauna is popular, but I thought it would be even better if there were a large public bath as well.

A hideaway to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
As the concept suggests, this is the perfect Stays for those who want to nourish both body and mind. Our family, who wanted to retreat quietly, was very satisfied with the two days spent enjoying plenty of alcohol and a free flow of various teas in the Room. (Being able to drink in the Room was truly the best. I enjoyed it while wondering if it was really okay.) The meals were also a treat, as we could see the dishes being cooked with firewood. The lineup of flavors that brought out the best in the ingredients was very satisfying. The Room amenities included pleasantly scented soaps, allowing us to enjoy a refreshing bath time multiple times. Until now, we have used this Property several times for family trips, but next time, I would like to invite friends as well. Thank you for your considerate service this time as well. It was a good holiday.
