    Stylish! Spacious! Comfortable!

    We stayed for two nights. The location is close to the downtown area, making it convenient for getting to Matsuyama Castle, Dogo Onsen, and anywhere else. The Room was spacious with stylish interiors, and our family of four was able to relax comfortably. It almost felt like a waste to use it just for sleeping. The in-room sauna was also wonderful and very relaxing.

    The room rate is reasonable.

    The Room is spacious and includes a private sauna for one person. The Hotel occupies the 7th and 8th floors, and the view from the Room faces Shiroyama, but there is a building (Hotel) directly across, so you cannot see the castle. The bath is not an Onsen, so tourists may prefer Dogo Onsen instead. From check-in to check-out, I did not encounter anyone other than one front desk staff member—no other guests at all. If this were a similar Room at a Hotel in Tokyo, it would likely cost about three times as much.

    A Relaxing City Hotel

    My first time in Matsuyama from Tokyo. This Hotel was in a great location, and the Room was spacious and clean. Unlike a cramped Business Hotel, it had a very relaxing atmosphere despite being in the city center. I would like to stay here again if I have the chance to visit Matsuyama.

    This was my second stay. The Room feels more like a private room than a Hotel room, so I can truly relax. When I stay here, I try to spend as much time as possible in the Room. The Finnish sauna and the large bath are also key reasons I choose this Hotel. I also appreciated the portable speaker. If I could make one request, I would be happy if the TV could be upgraded to a newer model. There are already only a few channels, and it’s disappointing that it can’t connect with apps. Since the Room is so comfortable, I’d love to watch movies that I don’t usually have time to enjoy. The restaurant is also very comfortable. However, there was only one toaster, and an Asian group stayed in front of it and monopolized it for a long time, so it was difficult to warm up bread. There was butter and honey, but no jam. It seemed there was only one staff member, so it was hard to ask. The food was delicious. When I visit Matsuyama again, I will stay here again. If possible, I’d like a Multiple Night Stay (though it may not be available for solo guests).

    Wonderful

    I regularly have errands in Ehime, and this time I was traveling alone, so I stayed at a Hotel. When I went up to the 8th floor, the front desk had a calm atmosphere. They kindly supported me with an issue I had, which was a big help. The Room is simple with no waste, and you can relax in a quiet, comfortable space. That’s why I bought drinks and food at the department store and enjoyed my free time! If you don’t like large groups of foreign tourists or noisy surroundings, this is definitely the place for you! You can borrow a straightening hair iron! The airport limousine bus stop is right in front—excellent access. It’s a Hotel that makes you want to spend more time in your Room. I’ve already made my next Reservation.

    Something unfortunate happened.

    Our previous stay was wonderful, so this time we came with our family. Parking costs 1,500 yen per day. However, it seems you cannot freely enter and exit. They said it is 1,500 yen from the last time you park. There was no explanation at check-in, and we went out for dinner without knowing. The parking fee was 700 yen. If we had been told in advance, we would have gotten a validation ticket when shopping at the supermarket downstairs! This was a lack of explanation and an unhelpful response. The Facility is excellent, but I think the front desk service is poor. If you are coming by car, please be careful.

    A Hotel where you can relax like in a private villa

    This Hotel is operated by Chaharu from Dogo Onsen, timed with the grand opening of Matsuyama Mitsukoshi in 2021 (I looked this up after returning to Tokyo). Taking a private elevator up to the 8th floor, you’ll find a refined yet simple interior; stepping into the thoughtfully designed Room—with Bang & Olufsen speakers and even a cover that completely hides the TV—was quiet and truly comfortable. The private sauna in every Room was so good I ended up using it twice in one night. The bed, linens, bathrobe, and towels were all exceptional, and breakfast was natural-minded yet carefully prepared and delicious—I strongly felt that this is where I want to stay again when I come back to Matsuyama. Getting off the elevator straight into Mitsukoshi is also incredibly convenient—nothing to complain about.

    It was a wonderful a...

    It was a wonderful and excellent Hotel with no complaints about anything, including the cleanliness, spaciousness of the Room, and quality of towels. At the same time, the heartfelt hospitality of the staff was equally impressive, surpassing even the physical aspects. It was such an amazing Hotel that I almost don't want to share it with anyone. I would love to stay longer next time.

    Everything except breakfast is excellent at the Hotel.

    【Pros】 The location is excellent, situated on the 7th-8th floors of Matsuyama Mitsukoshi. The Room is spacious with an elegant design. It was so comfortable that the small windows and lack of a view of Matsuyama Castle didn't bother me. The stone-finished sink and bathroom were clean and had a luxurious feel. The in-room sauna, though small, was surprisingly convenient and satisfying. 【Cons】 I felt that the breakfast ingredients (beverages, bread, ham, etc.) were not at the level of a luxury Hotel. It was disappointing that items like the bread for Eggs Benedict were cold and overall seemed pre-prepared.

    The location is excellent.

    Located in the heart of Matsuyama, right above Mitsukoshi, so you might not even need meals. There are plenty of dining options nearby. There's also a sauna, and the Room is incredibly relaxing. I would love to stay here again.

    It was comfortable.

    The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Although I am not a fan of saunas, I decided to try it since it was available. It warmed me up from the core and might make me a sauna enthusiast. All the staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious as well. Since it wasn’t a buffet, I could enjoy my meal in a relaxed manner. The location is right next to Okaido, making access extremely convenient! I would love to stay at this accommodation again when visiting Matsuyama.

    The Room includes a sauna.

    I stayed for a multiple night stay of two days. The hotel is located on one floor of the 8th floor in Mitsukoshi, so I was initially unsure about the entrance, but with guidance from Mitsukoshi staff, I quickly figured it out. The room was very spacious, with separate areas for the toilet and bathroom. There was even a sauna next to the bathroom in the room, allowing me to enjoy it at my own pace, which was fantastic. Although my stay was busy due to work and I couldn't fully relax in the sauna or bath as much as I'd have liked, I believe sauna enthusiasts or those interested in saunas would thoroughly enjoy their time here. The bed was comfortable to sleep on, and there were also a sofa and coffee table—plenty of space overall. This accommodation is highly recommended for those who spend relatively more time in their rooms. I only had breakfast during my stay. The set menu meals were served directly at your table. While I found the food itself average, the staff were polite and attentive. With fewer rooms overall at this accommodation, there wasn’t any noisy crowding; instead, meals could be enjoyed peacefully. For small shopping needs or souvenirs, you can shop downstairs at Mitsukoshi. Additionally, being located right by Okaido Shopping Street means you're close to downtown attractions. Trams and taxis are easily accessible nearby; even an airport bus stop is right outside—extremely convenient! Matsuyama Castle is also just across from here. Lastly, even details like room slippers stood out—they weren’t flimsy but rather comfortable to wear!

    A luxurious space wr...

    A luxurious space wrapped in natural materials, featuring art pieces by Fujio Ishimoto that truly stand out. The carefully selected furnishings are immediately noticeable, and the private sauna adds even more value to your stay. You can take the elevator to the Mitsukoshi basement to buy deli items or cut fruits and enjoy a relaxing time in your Room. We happened to find Mr. Ishimoto's shop near the Hotel and were informed about his gallery in Dogo. At the gallery, we learned that some of his works can also be seen in the lobby of Hotel Chaharu, allowing us to enjoy an art tour. Guests staying in this Room may often be fans of interior design and art, so it might be nice for the Hotel front desk to make such announcements. The recommendation from a gentleman at the front desk for a "slightly upscale izakaya where you can enjoy the Seto Inland Sea" was spot on and absolutely fantastic. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    I stayed here for a long-awaited trip with my sister. The Nordic-style interior created a very relaxing atmosphere. Despite being in a convenient location, once inside the Hotel, I could forget the hustle and bustle of the surroundings. I thought it was an excellent Hotel. I would love to stay here again.

    The facility and location were excellent.

    Located in the city center, the Room was spacious with high-quality bedding and linens, making it truly wonderful. The sauna's temperature could be adjusted freely, allowing for a very relaxing experience. There are many dining options nearby, perfect for food tours and sightseeing—a fantastic location overall. I would definitely like to stay here again next time!

    Upon entering, the room is filled with a soothing fragrance. The spacious and calming interior made for a very pleasant stay. The sauna was private and relaxing to use without worrying about others. The staff were kind and attentive. Above all, being located within Mitsukoshi allowed easy access to shopping and dining directly from the premises. However, the tablet in my room was completely out of battery when I returned at night, despite never being removed from its charger, so I couldn't use it at all. Additionally, the TV was an older model and couldn't connect with apps, which was disappointing. Other than that, everything else was great! If given the chance, I would love to try a Multiple Night Stay here in the future.

    Very stylish

    Everything was to my liking. The Room, as well as the front desk area, were wonderful spaces. All the staff were kind and made me happy. The delicious dessert from the Diamond benefits was also a delightful service. This time, I stayed for just one night and didn’t have time to use the sauna, so I’ll save it for next time. My pet from Ehime Prefecture passed away, and since I couldn’t bring them here while they were alive, I brought their stuffed animal instead. I believe they would have been happy staying in such a beautiful Room. Thank you very much. Next time, I plan to bring my child who loves Nordic design along with me!

    It was a pleasant stay.

    The Room was clean, spacious, and very satisfying. While the location is excellent, the view from the Room was... well, since I kept the curtains closed, it wasn't an issue. It would have been better if there were clearer instructions regarding the two affiliated parking lots and how to find the Hotel entrance at night. However, overall, I am satisfied. The service provided by the gentleman with gray hair at reception had a level of sophistication befitting a first-class Hotel staff member and truly reflected the quality of this Hotel. Next time, I plan to include meals in my stay. I will visit again. Thank you very much!

    Hotel with Sauna Located on the Upper Floors of a Department Store

    The Room, including the sauna, was impeccably maintained and beautiful. It felt like a completely different space, making you forget it was located on the 7th and 8th floors of a department store. The staff kindly explained how to use the sauna, and their hospitality was excellent. A handwritten message card in the Room added a warm touch. However, despite informing them via email and in person that it was my husband's birthday, there was no acknowledgment or congratulations from the staff. For such a wonderful Hotel, this felt like a missed opportunity. Other than that, everything was perfect; even with just one night's stay, we were able to relax and fully enjoy our time.

    Both taxis and limousine buses are available right in front, making access from the airport convenient. Located in Okaido, it also offers excellent access within Matsuyama City. The staff provide attentive yet unobtrusive service, which is very pleasant. For families of up to four people, staying in one room is more economical than booking two rooms. The interior design is simple and elegant. This Hotel is highly recommended for those who prefer to avoid the overly touristy areas around Dogo Onsen or traditional tatami rooms with futons.

    Very disappointing.

    The Room was spacious, and the sauna was comfortable, but the amenities were comparable to those of a Business Hotel. I chose a breakfast-included option after checking the Hotel's website, but it was extremely disappointing for the price. The presentation looked amateurish, there was no explanation from the staff, and it did not appear appetizing at all. Convenience store bread would have been better. The Room itself was good, which makes it all the more disappointing.

    This is the perfect choice when visiting Matsuyama!

    The room is exactly as spacious as shown on the hotel website, featuring Nordic-designed furniture and art that instantly lifts your spirits upon entering. Above all, I thought this price for such service was exceptional. There is also a private sauna prepared to be used according to your check-in time. Additionally, you can purchase aroma essential oil ice cubes for an extra fee, place them on the sauna stones, and enjoy a wonderfully fragrant löyly experience. A Bang & Olufsen portable speaker is provided in the room, allowing you to play your favorite music and enjoy a comfortable evening. Breakfast was carefully prepared with just the right portion size and served in a lovely setting—everything exceeded expectations. One downside was that there seemed to be no staff available at night? Around 8 PM, I wanted to borrow a bottle opener for an orange beer I had purchased at a souvenir shop but could not reach anyone despite calling multiple times via the tablet provided in the room. I would love to visit Matsuyama again just to stay at this hotel!

    Excellent Room and Hospitality

    This was my first time staying at a Hotel located inside a department store, and it was in an excellent location for sightseeing. The service from the staff was outstanding, and the Room even had a sauna, which was fantastic. The only disappointment was that the aroma ice I ordered additionally had no scent. If possible, having a small relaxation chair in the bathtub would make it even better.

    It was a very comfortable stay!

    Drawn by the unique location on the 8th floor of Matsuyama Mitsukoshi, I made a Reservation—and it was absolutely the right choice. The spacious and luxurious area features stylish Nordic minimalistic interiors, and best of all, a sauna! You can enjoy it freely at your convenience. The bathroom is designed with high-end Hotel specifications, offering great satisfaction. The excellent accessibility is another highlight! Matsuyama Castle and Saka no Ue no Kumo Museum are just a few minutes' walk away. The tram stop and airport limousine bus stop are right in front of the building. Being inside Mitsukoshi means you’ll have no trouble finding meals, plus there’s a large souvenir shop, Maruzen bookstore, Junkudo bookstore, and even Daiso on the first floor—simply fantastic. With only 11 rooms available, you can enjoy peace and quiet without the usual hustle and bustle of larger Hotels. It allowed me to spend relaxing moments in comfort. Thanks to this wonderful experience, I thoroughly enjoyed my first trip to Matsuyama. Special thanks to the front desk staff for their exceptional hospitality!

    Stayed with family. Excellent!

    Mitsukoshi is located downstairs, making it very convenient. The Room is spacious and clean, and the Facility is well-equipped, making it excellent. Although there is no room service, Mitsukoshi compensates for that, so as long as you prepare properly, there’s no issue at all. Security was also reliable. I would love to stay here again!
