    Enjoy the lounge.

    We stayed for a “staycation” to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had lunch at the first-floor restaurant, and although it was about an hour early, we were kindly allowed to check in. It was extremely hot, so we were able to stay cool and comfortable while using the lounge. I enjoyed a relaxing bath, then spent more time in the lounge enjoying a variety of drinks and snacks. Breakfast was wonderful—especially the salad. I’m keeping the celebratory scented sachet in my wallet and enjoying its fragrance. Thank you very much.

    Both the lounge and breakfast are excellent.

    I stayed here for the complimentary lounge sweets by Sadaharu Aoki, but everything else was also excellent. The subway is nearby and the location is very convenient—more satisfying than expected. I would love to stay again.

    My favorite Hotel—I can’t wait to stay again!

    This was my second stay, and it’s a highly recommended Hotel with great value. The guest-only lounge is especially wonderful.\nAt afternoon tea, you can enjoy sweets from Sadaharu AOKI Paris Karasuma Oike. As if that weren’t enough, during cocktail time they also offer snacks plus drinks including wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages.\nI’d love to keep staying at this Hotel for a long time to come. I love Kyoto!

    It was comfortable!

    The rate wasn’t very high, but the Room and bed were spacious, and the TV was large as well. The Hotel is located along a busy street, but I wasn’t bothered by traffic noise. The cakes and snacks in the lounge were delicious. Breakfast also had a great selection of vegetables and was very tasty. The amenities included makeup remover, toner, emulsion, and other essentials, which I really appreciated. It’s about a 2-minute walk from Karasuma Oike Station, so the location is excellent. There were also a convenience store and a supermarket nearby. I didn’t get to use the large public bath, so I’m not sure what it was like. The in-room bath was clean, and the toilet was spacious too. I had a comfortable stay, and the Hotel staff were very kind!

    Great value for money.

    I booked a twin Room because the price was reasonable for the size. However, the view from the window was a construction site, and the neighboring building looked directly into the Room. There was no closet—only an exposed hanging rack. It was inconvenient that there were no hand towels. There were also no bathrobes. There is an Onsen, but it said to bring the bath towel from your Room, so I didn’t go. For an Onsen, I would expect towels to be provided. The lounge required entry by 8:30 p.m. and closed at 9:00 p.m., so I arrived right at 8:30. There were no snacks left at all, and since drinks were self-service, many empty bottles had been left out, making it feel dirty. At least some packaged snacks should be replenished; otherwise, it might be better to move up the closing time. Overall, my impression is that for this price point, the service is about what you’d expect. It may be unavoidable due to staff shortages. Also (not related to the Hotel), it’s conveniently close to the subway station, but there is no escalator or elevator at the nearest exit, so carrying heavy luggage may be difficult.

    The most satisfying Hotel for recent business trips and travel

    Following my stay in Nagoya, I stayed here again. I booked the Corner Balcony Double (50 m²). The room was thoughtfully designed in every way—style, functionality, and comfort—and I was extremely satisfied. Unfortunately, since I spent a long time at restaurants outside the Hotel, I couldn’t use the lounge or dine at the restaurant, but I definitely plan to do so next time. I’m going to Naha next month and would love to stay there in Naha as well!!

    A warm welcome, even after a long time away

    It was my first stay in a while. Due to heavy rain before the typhoon, my plans changed, so I went to the Hotel around 1:30 p.m. just to leave my luggage. To my surprise, they told me the Room was already ready and allowed me to check in. They also reviewed my previous stay records and carefully explained what had changed since then. The lounge is available from 2:00 p.m., and cocktail time has been switched to a buffet style. There were many appealing homemade alcoholic drinks on offer. Breakfast has also changed from before, but I was more than satisfied. The bath was very comfortable. It was a Room without windows, but it caused no inconvenience at all. I will visit again. Thank you very much.

    Accommodation as Expected

    Everything was just the right size—there was no waiting for the elevator, meals, or check-in. The staff worked efficiently, and I had a very comfortable stay. Overall, I think the staff deserve high marks. The guest mix looked to be about 60% Japanese and 40% international, mostly individual travelers, so it was pleasantly quiet. Points to note: For breakfast (I should have asked), it would have been fine to have one egg instead of two. Also, I would have liked the stems removed from the cherry tomatoes in the salad for hygiene reasons. Lounge: Last order at 20:30 and closing at 21:00—I'd appreciate it if closing could be pushed back by another 30 minutes. (The selection of alcoholic drinks was great, with both carbonated and non-carbonated options available.) I’d like to stay again next time.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    This was my first stay, and it’s a Hotel I’d definitely like to use again next time. - Great access: right near Karasuma Oike Station, with both the Tozai Line and the Karasuma Line available - Large public bath: however, there are only four washing stations, so you may have to wait depending on the time. You can check crowding on the Room TV monitor, but when I went it was full. Above all, the lounge afternoon tea and cocktail time were excellent. There was a wide variety of appetizers, and I enjoyed everything from draft beer to sake and wine. Breakfast is buffet-style as well, with a choice of egg dishes served hot. I look forward to staying again. Thank you very much.

    Spacious Room and comfortable service make it an ideal base for your Kyoto trip.

    - Room: Clean and more spacious than other Hotels in the same price range, so you can relax comfortably. The pre-provided amenities were also well stocked. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of having decaf capsules for the coffee machine. - Dining: For breakfast, you can choose your main egg dish—scrambled eggs, an omelet, or a fried egg—and it’s brought to your table, so there’s no need to line up. The selection is mainly Western-style and not extensive, but there were plenty of vegetables and some fruit, which was more than enough. There was also rice with furikake and grilled fish that you could make into dashi ochazuke, and that was delicious too. - Lounge: The Sadaharu Aoki sweets trunk served in the afternoon was delicious! I enjoyed a variety in small portions—petit gâteaux, macarons, financiers, and more. From 5:00 PM there are snacks and alcohol, but I was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks as well. It was a wonderful time relaxing on the comfortable sofas while reflecting on our trip. - Service: It left a strong impression that all staff members—at the breakfast restaurant and in the lounge—were polite and efficient. I traveled while pregnant, and one staff member kindly explained caffeine-related details when serving drinks, which made me feel at ease. - Location: Right by an exit of Karasuma Oike Subway Station, making it convenient with great access to sightseeing spots. When we got tired from walking around, it was very comfortable to be able to return to the Hotel for a break or to drop off our belongings. - Facility: There is no microwave available for guest use inside the Hotel. When eating in the Room, having one would have been helpful.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    It was close to Karasuma Oike Station, making it easy to get around. I also appreciated the cake set available from 3:00 PM and the free-flow drinks (including alcohol) from 5:00 PM. From the subway to the Hotel, I recommend using Exit 3 rather than Exit 1—take Exit 3, use the escalator, and cross at the crosswalk. It’s easier than climbing the long stairs at Exit 1. The large public bath is small, but I was able to use it almost privately, so I could relax. It was a pity that the Room temperature is automatically set and cannot be changed, but after about an hour my body adjusted to it. I felt it might be a bit tough in midsummer, though comfort levels may vary by person. The staff in the lobby were polite, efficient, and very smooth in their service. They called a taxi for me early in the morning and arranged about an hour of sightseeing by car, which helped me get a sense of distances. Since city buses can take time depending on where you board and often pass by when full, I found taxis more convenient. I would definitely like to stay at this Hotel again. Thank you very much.

    It was a comfortable Room.

    The large TV and the layout—where the washbasin area in the Room is separated by doors that can be opened and closed—made it very convenient and felt spacious, which was great. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it in time for afternoon tea in the lounge, so I couldn’t try the sweets. The light snacks during cocktail time were plentiful and delicious, but the Royal Park in Yodoyabashi, Osaka may have had an even better selection.

    The location is great!

    Just a short walk from Karasuma Oike Station. You can easily walk to Gion and the Kyoto Imperial Palace, and it’s not as crowded as areas like Shijo-Karasuma, so the location is great! As an iconic brand, all Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The club lounge can get crowded, but you can enjoy Sadaharu Aoki sweets at afternoon tea. The public bath isn’t exactly “large,” but it’s wide and comfortable. A solid option to consider when visiting for sightseeing.

    We were informed in ...

    We were informed in advance and again at check-in that construction was taking place next door. I looked out toward the neighboring site from the Room, but it was still at a stage with no foundation, and there was no issue with construction noise at all. It was quiet and comfortable. Maybe it will start later. The Room, amenities, and lounge were all excellent, and I would like to stay again.

    It was a nice Hotel.

    I stayed for two nights on business. It was a very convenient Hotel, close to the subway station. The front desk staff were polite yet friendly, and I had a very good impression. My Room was on the 3rd floor so the view wasn’t good at all, but it was clean and comfortable. There was a large public bath; my wife used it and said she had it all to herself, but I didn’t use it. I’d definitely like to try it next time. This time I booked a Plan that included lounge access. On the first day, I went to the lounge after dinner and was able to relax there. On the second day, we had a light meal in our Room and then headed to the lounge. There was a wide selection of alcohol (though it felt like there were fewer snack options in comparison, and they seemed to run out quickly). My wife wanted a cocktail, so we asked a staff member and they kindly made one for her. When I tried to make a half-and-half beer, another staff member spoke to me and made it for me as well. I definitely recommend using the lounge if you can. I haven’t had many chances to visit Kyoto in recent years, but this is a Hotel I’d like to stay at again when I come back. Although we stayed two nights, we actually never saw any Japanese guests inside the Hotel at all, which felt a bit unusual.

    Refresh!

    We stayed here for a family trip and were able to relax, so overall we were satisfied. The Corner Twin room had a great sense of openness with its glass walls, but we ended up keeping the sheer curtains closed the whole time because we were more aware of the surroundings than expected. Even so, it was sunny and comfortable, which was more than enough for us. We were also happy to be able to enjoy Sadaharu AOKI afternoon tea service in the lounge.

    The Hotel stay itself was also part of the purpose of our trip.

    Our family stayed for two nights. This time, we were looking forward to enjoying our Hotel stay, including lounge access. The location is just a short walk from Karasuma Oike Subway Station, making it easy to get around by train. Although Suzumushi-dera Temple and Togetsukyo Bridge are a bit far from the Hotel, they were still very convenient to reach with a single bus from the nearby stop (230 yen one way). All of the staff provided very polite and pleasant service. We also enjoyed the Sadaharu Aoki afternoon tea in the lounge at a relaxed pace while looking out at the greenery of the street trees outside. The only disappointment was that the appetizers during evening cocktail time felt a little limited. Unlike the photos on the website, there were no individual items served in small glasses—just simple options such as ham. Since we stopped by after dinner, it was still nice to have something light with free-flow drinks, but we had also been hoping for more beautifully presented appetizers. The Hotel exterior is beautiful, and we were very satisfied with our Room as well—especially since it has a vanity area on the Room side, which is my personal preference. Thank you very much.

    May 2, 2026 – May 4, 2026 (2 nights), with breakfast included

    The lounge service exceeded my expectations. It was adorable that the afternoon tea sweets were served in a trunk, and the canelés and macarons were delicious as well. During cocktail time, there was a wide variety of drinks and snacks, so much so that we enjoyed it enough both nights that we didn’t need to dine out. The Yebisu Black and highballs were especially good. For breakfast, I had scrambled eggs on the first day and an omelet on the second; both were generous portions and very satisfying. The staff’s attentiveness also made our stay very comfortable. The large public bath was clean and never crowded. It isn’t very big, but it met our expectations. Overall, we had a wonderful Golden Week holiday. My wife was happy too. We’d love to stay again—thank you very much.

    Staycation

    This was my 3rd or 4th stay for a hotel getaway. I love the lounge because it’s relaxing and comfortable. The afternoon tea cake set is very delicious. Cocktail time is also fun, with a small variety of items served. I was disappointed that there were few liqueurs for cocktails—I really wish there had been cassis. It hasn’t even been a year since my last visit, but it seems several things have changed, and we were told about a time limit during cocktail time. So the time is fixed even when it isn’t crowded. Since it’s a lounge everyone can use, I understand—but the guests next to us who arrived earlier weren’t told anything, and they were still there when we left, which left me feeling a bit unsettled. I’m also disappointed that the chocolates seem to be gone. The large public bath has a very small changing area, but it was fine because we didn’t run into many people. I would be happy if the in-Room bath had a chair and wash basin as well. I’m also very disappointed that there are no bathrobes. Breakfast omelets and soup are tasty, but everything else is average; there aren’t many options and it’s Western-style only. All staff members were friendly and smiling wherever we went. Thank you very much.

    We were able to stay...

    We were able to stay this time at a very reasonable price. We had a comfortable stay, and the meals were as highly rated—very delicious and satisfying. However, perhaps because the rate was lower than usual, the amenities felt a bit lacking. Also, we stayed for two nights in a corner balcony Room, but there was limited storage space, which was inconvenient. It’s a lovely Room overall, so that part was disappointing.

    Well-located Hotel

    It’s just a short walk from Karasuma Oike Station, so you can easily use two subway lines, which is very convenient. This is still a relatively new Hotel, and both the guest rooms and the large public bath were very clean. The in-house loungewear was stylish and comfortable to wear. With the lounge service, you can enjoy your stay with Sadaharu AOKI afternoon sweets and cocktail time. However, the lounge operations didn’t seem to be running smoothly, and I was concerned about the waiting time, staff footsteps (perhaps part-time staff), and their service attitude.

    Royal Park Hotel

    The lounge available to guests is quite interesting, and there is a surprising variety of food, so you can enjoy your time there. The seating is spacious and comfortable, making it perfect for relaxing. There is also a wide selection of alcoholic drinks, so you could even have dinner with the lounge offerings. The Room bath also had a separate washing area, so I didn’t use the public bath.

    This is the first time I've experienced such a wonderful Hotel!

    Just one train ride from Kyoto Station, with a convenient location near the station. Enjoy complimentary sweets, unlimited drinks including alcohol, and snacks. Although I only included breakfast in my stay, the evening offerings here were more than enough to fill me up. The bar on the first floor features a wide selection of whiskeys (available for an additional charge), which I thoroughly enjoyed. The overall atmosphere of the Hotel was excellent, and all staff members were attentive and provided exceptional service, making my stay very comfortable. The Room was beautifully designed and extremely comfortable with perfect air conditioning, well-placed outlets, spacious beds, and ample room size—everything was outstanding. I will definitely stay here again!

    New Year's Eve Accommodation

    We stayed at the accommodation on New Year's Eve as a family of three to visit Kyoto for the first shrine visit of the year. Since we made the reservation well in advance, we were able to stay at a reasonable price. The afternoon tea by Sadaharu Aoki was incredibly delicious and very satisfying. The snacks during cocktail time were mostly light, and while there wasn't anything particularly outstanding, considering the price, it was more than sufficient. Breakfast on January 1st and 2nd consisted of a simple Osechi buffet and Kyoto-style white miso soup with rice cakes (Ozoni), so it might not be suitable for those who prefer Western-style breakfast or families with small children. The Ozoni and roast beef were exceptionally tasty, and I had seconds. I would love to visit again if given the chance!

    Room with a great view

    Located on a corner lot with nearby parking, there is no issue even if the Hotel does not have its own parking. The view from the suite room is stunning, allowing you to enjoy both sunsets and sunrises. The Facility is excellent, providing a comfortable and relaxing stay. While the bathtub may feel small for larger men, it is perfect for women and comes equipped with both a rain shower and hand shower for convenience. Of course, there is also a large public bath available. This Hotel offers the comfort of a private villa, making it a place you'd want to stay again.

    It was a satisfying experience.

    This was my second stay. I chose a more spacious Deluxe Twin Room compared to last time and was able to spend a relaxing and comfortable time. I also enjoyed the lounge during both day and evening, experiencing an extraordinary atmosphere. I look forward to staying again in the future. Thank you very much.

    I had always wanted ...

    I had always wanted to stay here! My long-awaited stay exceeded expectations and I was very satisfied. The lounge was not crowded, allowing for a relaxing cocktail time with a great selection of drinks. However, it would have been nice if there were sweet snacks like chocolate or cookies among the appetizers... Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy the afternoon tea time, which was disappointing. In the large public bath area, the changing room and sink area only had hair dryers and tissues available. However, this setup allowed for shorter stays and quicker turnover without any congestion—no issues at all during use. I had a comfortable stay. If I have another opportunity, I would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much!
